Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant Review Name of Restaurant: Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant Address: 30 East State St, Media, PA, 19063 Service hours: Mon-Thurs 11am-11pm Fri 11am-12am(next day) Sat 10am-12am(next day) Sun 10am-10pm Rating: 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺 (out of 5) Review By: Lucian Rupert I enjoyed my evening at Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant very much. It was a very pleasant experience with truly nothing to complain about. My server was attentive and remembered even the little requests. They were knowledgeable and helpful. My server answered all the questions asked of them well and offered wonderful suggestions. Iron Hill has something for everyone; with a large menu of well made and well presented food it's hard to find someone who doesn't like anything on their menu making it a good place to take someone(s) that you don't know very well. Iron Hill also has a large menu of alcoholic beverages for adult patrons (Ya old folks). As a brewery, they have a large unique gallery of beers and delicious seasonal cocktails. As an example of their varied menu, their Kennett Square mushroom soup has a more earthy taste, but its flavour varies significantly from that of their equally delicious cheeseburger offered with a variety of cheeses and a selectable patty temperature that comes out correct. (Yep, it's a ✨fancy✨ burger) Iron Hill is very large and has different sections convenient for different parties' needs. My party happened to have a baby, and we were placed out of the way with very few people nearby, which was quite nice for us. The table I was seated at was clean with comfortable seats. Other sections of the restaurant have tables that are in the front by the bar with sports playing on TVs, in the front there are also very large windows allowing a view onto the street from inside, in the back there are large tables for large parties and other tables with a nice view of their open concept kitchen. They also have clean spacious bathrooms with changing stations and many stalls allowing them to handle their well deserved large number of patrons and make bringing a younger child along much more convenient and enjoyable (Not having a place to change your squish can really ruin the experience). Overall (The Skinny?) Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant is a great place that fits everyone, whether you're there to go on a date, to watch a sports game at their bar, or eat dinner with your family and ✨the baby✨ Iron Hill has got you. Iron Hill is a great place to have a meal no matter who you're bringing or how well you know them. They've got something for everyone. I hope your time here will be as wonderful as mine was, I'm sure Iron Hill has something you'll enjoy. Rating?:🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

All I had was the black bean burger and I LOVED it! It was the right texture and delicious with a little spicy note. Bread was super fresh. Nice selection of beer that my friend really enjoyed. Service was on point. Definitely worth the stop!

Burgers were great. Juicy and flavorful. The fries and gumbo was good as well. We sat at the bar and service was great.

Today was my college graduation and we celebrated dinner at Iron Hill Brewery in Media, PA. I was skeptical at first because I have an allergy to garlic. Our waitress was a beautiful blonde with short spiked hair. She was very patient and accommodating. She brought out the recipe book and took her time going thru the ingredients with us. She even checked things we didn't ask about and made recommendations to the Chef. All of the staff were pleasant and accomodating. My Mango Lemonade was custom made. And our food came out in record time. Our Luxe Burger was perfectly cooked on a Pretzel bun. It was well done and juicy. The bacon jam was a delightful surprise. The atmosphere was pub style yet family friendly. Our waiter was so pleasant and made us feel like she was only there for us. She kept a professional attitude and upbeat demeanor. My date and I talked about her and our dining experience all night. We got home and fell fast asleep, woke up and continued to talk about how wonderful the experience was. We wish all our dining experiences were this wonderful. We will be visiting again soon.

My wife and I were in recently and had a great dinner. We love the newer items especially the brisket queso and the poke app. Our bartender Jay went out of his way to explain some of the beers and made my wife a really great cocktail, but more importantly he made us feel like we are friends instead of customers. We will be back 100% thanks to Jay and the great food!

I ordered two burgers medium well and they both came medium rare, the Korean wings that’s are $22 plus dollars was also missing a wing.. can’t believe it!

We had great service, and it always seems to be good food and outstanding drinks, especially beer. Would recommend.

Yelp
After a night out seeing a play we stopped here for some grub. There was a 20 min wait which was fine. Plenty of space to stand or you can go sit at the bar till they call. Once we sat down our server came over and was very polite. She was full of energy and had tons of suggestions on our meal .as for the food. It was amazing tasted fantastic after they got it right. I ordered a burger with house sauce and some type of jam. Burger came dry as the desert. No trace of anything so I had to ask for it. Once I put it on it was fine. Queso skillet was awesome. The only problem i had. Beer was bad. I didn't like anything I drank and I got a flight with multiple. They all taste the same lol. Overall, really nice place

Yelp
Morgan, our server, was exceptional. Very professional and attentive. Food, on the other hand, was alright. Most of the food didn't seem freshly made. Nothing came out piping hot. The only thing that really WOWED me was the butter that came with the croissant. I can eat that whole thing by itself. Very creamy with a hint of zest. Yum! As far as the croissants was concerned, some tasted like it was stale. The pork schnitzel (4/5) entrée was pretty good. I didn't care for the sausage and gravy topping though. Would've been better without it. Anyway, the mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and airy. The greens were garlicky and kind of salty. Grilled chicken Caesar (2.5/5) salad was okay. The dressing lacked in a lot of ways. More citrusy and less saltiness from anchovies. The mushroom bisque was a little grainy. Would I care for coming back? Maybe. Not anytime soon though.

Yelp
I'm going with 2 stars because I don't want to be the one to post the lone star review and, it wasn't all bad for everyone else! I met up with some peeps to go to a rally at the courthouse in Media today! It wasn't Atticus and Scout and there weren't any boos either (you either get or you don't)! We went to lunch after and all I really wanted was a burger so we went to the place my friend's wife suggested because it was 3 feet from where we were standing when I said I wanted a burger. We walk in and there was no greeter or host which is annoying from the gate! We ended up finding a place to sit on our own! The atmosphere was decent: well lit, clean, a few people around but, not many... I don't recall any music at all though, which almost always brings me comfort, and, that's kind of important, right? The waitress, Gina, was friendly. It took a bit for us to decide but, we ordered our food and, it took at least 45 minutes to an hour for us to get it! We were complaining amongst ourselves after about 25 minutes in. We didn't order anything fancy at all!!! Bangers and Mash, a burger/fries and soup and truffle fries! The food eventually came out; the burger and both fries were just slightly warm as if they'd been sitting aside. Also, the burger was missing key ingredients from the menu description and wasn't that good. I'm pretty sure it was a frozen patty. But, apparently the bangers and mash and soup were good according to the people I was with so there's that extra star! I'm not sure if it was Gina's fault or understaffing due to the holiday but, we were all annoyed with the delay of service and, overall disappointed. When you have to decide on 20% or more as a tip you know there was something wrong! I don't know if it was our waitress or the management but, I'd stay away from this one! I can make you food that is 20X better and, I'm no one!

Yelp
Given my previous reviews on how much we had loved this place in the past, my partner and I decided to give it another try about three months ago. What a tremendous improvement! We are so happy to see this restaurant return to its former standards. In fact, I even went in today to buy a gift certificate since they had a small promotion going on. I was talking to a couple of the folks there and found out that there's a whole new management team that's been in place for a bit. It's clear that the new team is really focused on a much better dining experience and a much cleaner restaurant. So glad to have this restaurant on the upswing!

Yelp
30 mins for 2 apps to take out on a seemingly slow Monday. Ordered sweet fries for $11.99 and got 10 little fries.... The host said to me you better check the bag before you go. Why he couldn't check it I don't know. But he was right, no sauce for the cheese steak egg rolls, and missing the green onion that had been requested.

Yelp
I'm shocked this restaurant is still opened. Ive lived in media for 20 years and have visited annually for 30. I walked in with a friend to eat lunch, knowing that the food is "meh" but wanted to get a convenient bite to eat. We walked in and maybe three tables were occupied. The rest of the place was caverness and empty. There were employees wandering around. We had to flag somebody down and ask can we just grab a table? We grabbed a table and sat for way too long for an empty restaurant to give us menus. So we got up and left. I'll never return. How is this place still open?

Yelp
Went here for a walk-in seating for 2 last night and fortunately seats had just opened up at the bar so we were able to snag them. At first I was hesitant to venture in since I was in the mood for a relaxed dinner, and the main seating area was fully crowded w/ bustling, loud drunk patrons (happy Saturday ) and bright lights, giving off a storage warehouse vibe (definitely not the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant) but the bar area allowed me to turn my back to all the commotion and view the brewery in the back. I started off with a margarita- the waitress forgot my salted rim on my beer glass, but corrected her mistake without dismay when I asked for a "side of salt". The margarita was nothing special- very sour and far too sweet for my liking, but I wanted a tequila based drink and didn't see anything else on the menu. As for food, I got the creole catfish and my date got the seared ahi tuna. The catfish was cooked to perfection with a fall-apart, milky texture and complex flavor. I unfortunately did not realize "creole seasoning" meant served atop a bed of tomato sauce with some spices (I'm allergic to tomato) so I pushed all that to my date's plate and just ate the fish part. He loved it, and honestly it was my fault for not asking the bartender if it had tomatoes in it. Also, the ahi tuna was AWESOME, along with the shriacha mayo it came with, but the portion size was a smidge small and my date definitely left the bar still hungry. Perfectly average joint for a standard meal/beers with friends or family.

Yelp
First time ever there and didn't disappoint. Food was great, atmosphere on point. Ordered a beer and server came half way through that beer to offer a sample of another one she thought I would like and boy was she right! Ordered a pint of that one next. Great place and can't wait to try more next time.

Yelp
This was never my fave spot, found it to be predictable american food, nothing special but decent. But it was a favorite of my husband and mother-in-law when we went for a special birthday dinner celebrating MIL. Started off the ginger ale had no carbonation. Returned that for sprite, which had no syrup. Finally waiter admitted to a soda fountain issue and brought plain water. Margarita was off too, perhaps related. Food came and my husband's pickle had a bite out of it, a literal bite. Returned the plate which came back with the same meal but a fresh pickle. We were told the manager would come by and chat with us but never showed. Waiter comped a single dessert for the 5 of us to share. Horrible experience, will never go back. Just wondering if the bitten pickle was some sort of revenge for sending back 2 undrinkable drinks...I'll never know since I'll never go back. Also the menu used to be more expansive but it is much more narrow now.

Yelp
Great food. Friendly service. Loud restaurant full of people talking but that doesn't bother me.

Yelp
Very friendly hostesses and bartenders! Our waiter was kind and polite, but he rarely serviced our table. We had piles of dishes that never got taken and our waters/drinks were not refilled unless we proactively waved him down and asked. While it was a busy night and we understand that because we also work at restaurants, we do not find it acceptable to have piles of dishes covering the table and not have our waters at least refilled. Food was great and again staff was friendly.

Yelp
I ordered the appetizer starter of soft shell crab for $17. The portion size measured the smallest crab I have ever seen. It was one crab cut in half each piece approximately the size of a silver dollar. I questioned the waitress who said, " I should have told you that the serving was small" Pretty pathetic! With so many fine restaurants in Media, PA, Iron Hill is off my list!
google avatar

John E.

Yelp
There is a reason that this location was empty while all the other restaurants in the area were full, during a street event. The food was average at best, the hostess definitely seemed to hate their job, and the food was pricy for the portion that you got. I would rather wait in the future to actually get something worth the money.

Yelp
I love this restaurant and all the employees I've encountered here! I am working at the Media Theatre, which is right next door, so this is a great go-to for the cast and patrons of the theater. I have been in for takeout, happy hour, dinner, and late night drinks over the past month and all experiences have been great! One of my favorite things about this location is the large bar area. Seats are first come, first serve and there are booths and high tops. I love their sangria and if you are a beer lover, they have so many great and unique options from their brewery! In terms of food, the nachos are my favorite app. I literally dream about them. I also like their sweet potato fries app. I've tried a bunch of different dishes recently including the salmon salad, pizza, fish tacos, and salmon burger. All were amazing! I would recommend all 4. I look forward to coming back again and again during this holiday season! This is a great spot for families and there is definitely something on the menu for everyone.

Yelp
This place is a good place to hang with friends, have a date night, or go out with the family. It has a nice menu of food and drinks. There are alot of TVs here to come and watch sports. We have come a few times and the service has always been great. The food is always good. We will be back.

Yelp
Media, Pa location I frequent. I've been going there for years. Food is always good. Bartender Matt is great. One thing I can say that literally makes me want to boycott the bar is, the one bartender is terrible. I am unsure of his name, but every encounter I have ever had with him has been atrocious. I seriously don't know how he is still employed or why iron hill would allow him to work there as he has horrible customer service skills and is down right nasty to his customers. He bartended on Sunday night and closed the bar that evening on 5/5/24. This man is the worst bartender I have ever encountered. He ignores his guests, is angry, rushes you, and even asked my partner basically why he was still there finishing his drink when they weren't even closed yet and tables were still sat. If I continue to go there and see he is working I will turn around and walk right out. For some added context, I've bartended in media at another restaurant for years. I am very tolerable as I know what it's like to work in that setting. I would never be rude to a customer or take out my frustration on them. There is no excuse for this behavior. No customer deserves to be treated this way.
google avatar

Jimi J.

Yelp
Service was great, food was awesome and the beer was good. We had three dishes and all of them were excellent and our appetizer was an awesome mixture of the house favorites. My guests and I enjoyed every bite. We are glad we got to visit while we were in from Florida! If and when I return, I will be back to try some more...

Yelp
Came here to try the juniper beer as the berries are from Tyler Arboretum and Tyler received $1 per beer purchase. The juniper flavor wasn't strong enough for me. Quality of beer itself was fine. Happy hour specials happened to be going on when I visited- fried chicken special and Nashville chicken special. I asked for pork belly but by the time I realized I didn't receive what I ordered, happy hour was up and I had already started eating the appetizer. Not too shabby and not like oh I gotta have it. Iron Hill is a great place to know what to expect and you know you get a quality that will probably be at least moderately good. Staff is friendly. Decorations are reasonably casual for its bar and restaurant atmosphere. Their vip clubs are no longer free and I don't get so hyped up enough that it is worth it for me to come here that often, but I also don't mind coming here again too.

Mary B.

Yelp
The Media Location used to be our go to spot. The food and service have declined considerably over the past couple of years to the point that we don't go anymore. Quality and value are simply terrible. Food is over or under-cooked, sometimes cold and does not always match the menu description. Service is slow and there is a long wait between ordering and receiving food. The only reason that 2 stars are earned is that the beer is generally good. Anyone looking for a decent meal in Media should go elsewhere.
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
Visited on 5/24/24 for a late lunch. The table was sticky and the service was slow. The server was nice enough but our lunch took over an hour and a half and I was late getting back to the office. There was no reason for this as the place was not very busy. The food was ok but the portion small for the price.

Molly S.

Yelp
All around: Nope. Went midday on a Sunday. Coconut shrimp app didn't seem to include any coconut. Cheese sauce for the giant pretzel was unpleasantly sour, presumably from its beer base? That recipe needs work. Sodas were all flat - we sent them back. Bloody Mary came out completely ungarnished, just a glass of tomato and vodka on ice. Fish & chips the fish was literally sitting in a pool of grease. It dripped, like it had been deep fried in oil that was too cool and it just sopped it up. And the southwestern salad lacked any kind of balance - predominant flavors were sour + charred. Oh! and the top of the creme brulee was floppy and bendy, not the shatter-with-a-spoon consistency it's supposed to be. Everything was totally underwhelming. We waited and finally had to hunt for our server to get the bill. Food is mid and overpriced. Skip.

Dolfly C.

Yelp
Food was great. Moroccan salmon was delicious. The bathrooms, however, were worse than Target's or a gas station. I know they can do better than that. Otherwise nothing wrong with service or food.

Jacob G.

Yelp
Our server Eva provided a great dining experience and was very descriptive on the in-house beverages Iron Hill has to offer.

Diane F.

Yelp
I returned to iron hill again and was not disappointed! I got the fish tacos and my date got the pub burger. We also got a few tasters of beer and enjoyed all of them, but settled on Autoplay. After we ate, we sat at the bar and enjoyed some of a Phillies game with some patrons and the bartender Jay. It was a fun atmosphere. Everyone here is so nice and from the looks of it, the staff works extremely hard to take care of their customers. I will definitely be returning again.

Yelp
Dined inside for a work lunch and had a great experience. Very big inside with a ton of space. Very clean and everyone working was friendly. I ordered the onion au gratin, which was delicious and exactly what I needed on a cold day. Great portion size with a ton of flavor! I also ordered the strawberry and goat cheese salad. This was amazing and gets a 10/10! It probably would've been even better if I added a protein. Contrast with sweet and savory. Highly recommend! Overall, great experience and I'd come back again!

Yelp
This was always a nice place for my husband and I to go to during lunch. We have always gone during nice weather and choose to sit out on the patio. Sometimes it would be during my husband's lunch break. Often enough we have ordered drinks and our entree at the same time. No server has ever had a problem with that. I have told our servers in the past that my husband is on a lunch break, and the servers had said something like "No problem. We will get your food out to you as soon as it is ready." Today we got in around 1:15 pm. The host was nice and he bussed a table with umbrella for us. We knew everything we wanted by 1:30 pm. My friend was also with my husband and I. We said "excuse me" to Jaclyn as she walked passed our table. All three of said it consecutively. She pretended not to hear any of us, said something to another server, and then walked into the restaurant. The other server came over and said, "Your server is Jaclyn, but I would love to get you started with any drinks." I was the only one to order a drink. More time went by and Jaclyn started walking around refilling other tables' waters. We said, "We are ready to order." Jaclyn: "You did not get your drinks yet" I said, "We are in a bit of a rush" Jaclyn looked over to the two elderly ladies sitting next to us rolled her eye and said, "They said they are in a rush." She rolled her eyes again. The ladies did not react. I said, "We did not get service for over 10 minutes since we sat down." Jaclyn said, "Do you see that I am the only one out here? I will get to you when I can get to you." I said, "I did not say anything in a negative way, I do not appreciate your attitude." Jaclyn: "I am not giving you attitude." My husband said, "Let's just order." She was not the only one out at the patio serving. I have never been so appalled and offended as a guest in a restaurant before. I feel bad that Iron Hill was represented by one of their staff in this way. We still tipped her 15% even though she deserved no tip at all. No one should ever be treated in this way. The food was great we usual, but that incident made the whole experience very unpleasant to say the least. My husband always gets the BLT and I always get the strawberry salad, replacing the goat cheese with mozzarella, and adding a protein. The cocktails are very good as well. The beers are just mediocre.

Tammy K.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant today for my husband's birthday, thinking it would be a pleasant experience. I have visited here several times and have had no issues. Unfortunately, today was a different experience. I arrived at 12:45pm and left the restaurant close to 3pm! When I first arrived, no one acknowledged me for at least 15 minutes. When the waitress arrived, she took my drink order but never asked if I was ready to order food. She then came back 15 minutes later to take my food order. I ordered an appetizer and a meal. It took another 15 minutes for my appetizer to arrive. My food didn't come out for an additional 30 minutes. By the time I got my food, it was close to 2:30pm. The waitress never came to check on us and ask if we needed anything, the entire time we were seated, except for refilling our drinks. My husband and I were the only people of color in the entire restaurant, and we began to notice everyone else was serviced and paid out before we even received our food. The manager witnessed our frustration, and kept walking. This place has gone downhill. The food and service were terrible! Their menu has drastically changed, and the options were very limited.

Jimmy N.

Yelp
Food was below mid, portion was SMALL for what you pay, service was slow even when it wasn't busy.
google avatar

Sue U.

Yelp
We sat immediately. Slight issue, tables were sticky and so were the menus. Our waitress was amazing but she asked someone to come and wiped the tables again for us. They didn't come by till she had to physically get someone to come while she stood and watched. He sprayed the tables while our plates sat uncovered or moved. The mixed were terrible. The poor waitress tried to fix that as well. Once bitten twice shy-I did not need to try another. The food was pretty well made. Overall, sadly I will not be returning to this location. Save your money. TMI I had stomach issues for the next 3 days and couldn't keep any food in me.

Yelp
Not too sure why the review is below 4 stars. I came here on a Saturday afternoon, just in town for a wedding and needed some time to kill. Hit some golf balls at a nearby range and needed some food and beer of course. Did a quick search and saw this place, decided to give it a shot. Located in a really nice quaint town, on the main street, this place was definitely worth the stop. Not busy at all, walked up and sat right down at the bar. Greeted warmly and offered the menu and specials. I had the seafood bisque which was very very good. The crab, scallops and shrimp were all not overcooked. Surprised how good this was. My entre was the Baja fish tacos. These were standard, but good! What really impressed me was the quality of the beer. Had the bedotter triple Belgium and it was amazing. Golden color, sweet of the tongue but crisp on the outflavor. Maybe it's because NJ is still trying to get our brewery game up, but this place was top notch.

Yelp
At first I was iffy about coming here since the Iron Hill's around my area are usually a hit or miss. I'm glad my family and I stopped in because we had a great time because of our waiter, Jonathan! Jonathan was HILARIOUS, kind, and attentive. I felt like I was getting a free comedy show while out to eat lol. My family and I were unsure of what we wanted to drink, so Jonathan brought all of us a flight of samples. I was shocked. We all enjoyed our food, our drinks, and our service from Johnathan. If I'm ever back in Media, this will be my go to especially if Jonathan is working!

Fin D.

Yelp
The "Razz Lemonade" tasted like thick sugar syrup and I am not even sure if they added an oz of vodka. The croissants were a disappointment. For $17 you can get an entree salad that has barely a handful of lettuce. However , I am a big fan of the Ceaser dressing. Tables are really worn down. Place needs a revamp. I have had better experiences here. Hope they can improve. The best part of the meal was the nice waitress.
google avatar

Zack V.

Yelp
Five star night! Incredible vibes! Had so many samples of different beers to try throughout the night and all were amazing. Having them brew their own beer on-site really makes it that much more incredible. Food wise, we had the cheesesteak egg rolls and pretzel bites and were a great compliment to our beers. We each got burgers and salads and they were coupled with great fries as well as our waitress consistent refilling our drinks and checking up on us. Overall, a great casual atmosphere to try new beers, have great conversations, and a good time.

Emma S.

Yelp
Charged almost $10 for a bowl of soup to go and put it in a cup portion size. If you want soup to go only order the cup size because if not your money is just taken.

Laura P.

Yelp
It's the first time I been to this chain, and here are my thoughts : Cozy environment and friendly service but the food is mediocre, as people would say "nothing good, nothing bad." However they do have the advantage having late hours in the area. The menus are entirely online that you can scan the QR code on the table which is an idea that I like.

John F.

Yelp
Here's the conversation I had tonight.........decided to call after several take out order failures..........."You ordered a Thai Chicken Salad and didn't get chicken with your salad BUT you got the RIGHT order??? We got the order right because even though we see that you ordered it with chicken the ticket we put in was without protein. So we got it right". I tried to get Iron Hill to mail me a gift card for money I gave them for food I did not get and they fought against it telling me "we cannot do that". I'm voting with my feet and will go elsewhere. Iron Hill's "attitude of indifference" will catch up to them. Can't they just train their manager to say yes to their customers? Why lose someone over a salad with no chicken? Sad. Very sad.

Yelp
5 stars for service from Emily (and the male manager and a pink-haired server who's name I did not catch). Emily served our group of 9 ladies for a long-awaited and long-planned Happy Hour. We got a large table (a few tables pushed together) in the back and ordered apps to share (delicious fried Brussel's sprouts and thick-cut sweet potato fries with 2 delectable dipping sauces - try the vanilla sauce). Folks ordered their own drinks and dinners - but 4 of us had the pan-seared scallops with a creamy risotto. DIVINE. Our only complaint? The $15 nachos (close to $20 if you want chicken) used to be an enormous platter - not anymore. The nachos are still wonderful but you get much less - plenty for 3 people - but not for 9. The 5 stars goes for the tremendous service including separate checks and rushing in a happy hour order (Iron Hill's Happy Hour drink specials end at 6 PM!!!!) for us. So glad I planned my Ladies Night Happy Hour here.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with my first experience at Iron Hill. There are a lot of locations of this restaurant in the Philadelphia region, but the service at this location was great. I was a huge fan of our waitress, because I am not a big beer drinker, but she graciously brought over several samples for me to try before picking a beer I liked. We also came during the middle of the afternoon to order some snacks/apps. We ordered the nachos, cheesesteak eggrolls, and the meat lovers flatbread. My favorite were the nachos and then the cheesesteak eggrolls. I would 100% order the nachos and cheesesteak eggrolls again! The flatbread was good but just ok. Nothing spectacular.

Yelp
Not the same as they were pre Covid. But a lot of businesses suffered and changed... pre Covid I would have given 5 stars. Iron hill is a staple in Media, great beer, a good menu at reasonable prices... it's the type of foods you'd expect at a brewery but with a few unique flairs from time to time.

Yelp
Really disappointed with this Iron hill, I've been to other ones in center city and Delaware and they were all really great experiences and food. However this Iron Hill I'm not sure why but the food was terrible. We ordered the calamari, truffle mushroom soup, fish tacos, pub burger, and fish and chips. Pretty much none of them were any good and I'm not being picky rather have eaten at Wendy's or Five guys it would've been way better. Any fried, the calamari, fried fish for tacos and fish and chips was way too greasy and soggy and cold. They might've left everything in the fryer too long or let the food sit there since it wasn't hot enough since even the sweet potato fries some of it undercooked. We sat by the kitchen side in back so I just saw food sitting there forever. Also everything was luke warm at best, the truffle soup was luke warm we asked them to heat it up it came back warm again. They couldn't even heat up the soup properly! Also the truffle soup you could taste mushroom chunks, it should be properly puréed and cooked not a bunch of chunks of mushrooms and tons of heavy cream. We've had it at other iron hills and that's the consistency not like this place. My burger everything was burnt, I had burnt onions so honestly all I could taste was burnt food. The fish tacos were borderline inedible, soggy full of oil, we just took the fish meat out to eat. Just so greasy I got sick afterwards from all the old oil definitely never coming back to this iron hill again. Spent $100 for everything, totally regret it wish I went across the street to Dim Sum Mania instead.

Yelp
I'd never been to Iron Hill before and it's one of my oldest daughter's favorites, so she treated us to takeout for dinner a few nights ago. I took one look at the menu and zeroed right in on the Country Schnitzel (breaded fried pork cutlets with andouillie sausage cream gravy, a delicious sweet potato mash and sautéed garlicky greens). I enjoyed every single bite - it was a delicious dish that I would order again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Had the family there for a bite and I ordered a plain pizza and it came out burnt. I sent it back and they brought out another burnt pizza with the manager Danielle . She was rude and talked to us like it was our fault it was burnt. I sent it back again and ate at home. Never again Iton Hill

Yelp
Bar was sticky. Ordered the pancakes and they came as thin as a dime. Pancake mix doesn't cost much to be that thin is crazy . Bartender was good.save your money , unless you just want to drink & check out some games. They could use a big TV in the middle of the bar on the wall

Yelp
The waitress is simply amazing! Katie. She should be in sales. Knows the menu very well. Joined King of the Hill club. -$5 (that's negative $5) to join. Free beer. $7 off bottles of wine(take them home with you). As a member you get to drink your beers out of a 22 Oz member mug. Penny packer Pils. Good German style pils. NZ sauv Blanc. Hummus app. Red pepper, Mediterranean and bagel spice with grilled pitas. Good hummus variety. Ask for extra pitas. Pub burger with beyond burger and fries. Solid burger with potato roll. Turkey burger Grilled cheese and bacon to go. Really enjoyed the food. If you are afraid of Covid, you will enjoy the spacing of the tables and all the plexiglass.

Yelp
Iron Hill is right in the heart of downtown, with both a cute little outdoor dining area available and indoor seating that's distanced far apart (during COVID times). My boyfriend and I arrived around 4:30pm on a Sunday and we waited only a short time before being seated outside, per our request. Our waitress Tiara was polite and efficient. I had the Figgy Piggy Grilled Cheese, which by all accounts is similar to ordering pancakes for breakfast -- you have to be in the mood for something sweet! The bread was super crisp and I think next time if I ordered the same I'd ask for extra bacon. My boyfriend had the Buffalo wings and they were soooo good. Just the right amount of spicy and that's coming from someone with a mild tolerance for spice. We also were a big fan of the fries which we had two extra sides of. For my drink, I had the Little Red Wagon and holy wow that might be my new favorite ale. It tasted exactly like strawberry rhubarb. Obsessed. Would be happy to return again!

Yelp
The food is not very good, humus has a unusual flavor and consistency, almost no chicken on the nachos, and our entree was SALTY. will not be back

Yelp
Went for my daughter's 21st bday. Burgers were delicious and cooked perfectly. She got the salmon which also was cooked perfectly. Started we're the cheesesteak egg rolls and sweet potato fries. Sweet potato fries aren't normally my thing but these were delicious. Great meal was only made better by our server Peggy. Warm, friendly and had a very nice way about her
