Iron Horse Pub

Iron Horse Pub is hands down one of my go-to spots. The staff here are awesome — the servers and bartenders are always super friendly and quick, and they actually take the time to get to know you. You can tell they care about the place and the people who come in. The food’s just as good as the service. The pizza is always hot, crispy, and loaded with toppings, and the wings are legit some of the best around — perfectly cooked every time. It’s the kind of spot where you can grab a beer, watch a game, and know you’re going to be taken care of. Love this place. Great spot for those in the industry to go after a long day to unwind and have a drink with friends.

We love going to Iron Horse. Great food and drinks. Friendly staff and attentive service. You have to try the bacon cheeseburger pizza, amazing! The wings are great and so are the burgers. A great place to watch the game or just meet up with friends. Highly recommended!

Recently found out about Iron Horse and I’ll say it is the best place in Simsbury and the surrounding area! The bartenders are always on point making sure you know the beer on draft or the drink specials! The bartenders and waitstaff always provide such attention and care they’re never too far away! The drinks are always made perfectly! The food whether it’s an app, a grinder, or a whole pizza comes out quick, cooked perfectly and tastes delicious! Hot dog! This place was fantastic! I took my beautiful wife out to lunch for her birthday. The dining room and bar were clean and inviting. Casey was holding the place down from bartender, hosting, and serving. The beer selection was great, and the menu had great food options. The starter salads were fresh and tasty. Our meals were very good. I recommend the chicken sub. I would absolutely return!

This was my third visit here since moving to CT three weeks ago. I’ve given this place a fair shot — three different visits, on three different days — and each time the service has been below average. I’m not someone with high expectations; the food comes out quickly and it’s good. This is the kind of spot where you grab a beer and a quick bite, not somewhere you’d go for dinner and a cocktail. The old fashioned I ordered was probably the worst I’ve ever had. I even mentioned to the waitress that her demeanor felt a bit cold, and she just brushed it off. If you’re looking for a casual place to have a drink and something to eat, this place works. But if you’re new in town — especially if you’re a person of color — I wouldn’t recommend it. I definitely did not feel welcomed coming here either time.

been coming to iron horse now for about four years. every year the food and atmosphere gets better than the last. specials are fun and creative, and the staff always welcomes me with a warm smile and open arms. this place can get pretty busy, but they still always make sure every one is taken care of and are quick to right any wrongs. i find myself constantly coming back and enjoying myself every time. i wouldn’t want to go anywhere else to watch a big game!

Every time I come I always have a good time between the lovely bar staff and friendly kitchen staff (who make amazing food and tasty specials) I always feel welcome here. The management here, Bucky and Casey are always quick to help! And Bucky sure knows his way around a good spicy wing!
