Iron Horse has been a long time favorite of mine. I was lucky enough to receive a year-long membership as a gift from my brother for my wedding. Honestly, I've never been disappointed by any bottle. From Ocean Reserve to Russian River Cuvée, Fairytale, and Wedding Cuvée, every sip has me feeling like a bubbly connoisseur... or at least an enthusiastic amateur!
I finally had the pleasure of visiting their gorgeous vineyard and was not disappointed! Let me tell you, it was like stepping into a postcard. The weather was lovely and it was as if the sun was shining just for me. How could anyone not be happy when you're surrounded by such beauty? With such greenery, so many wild flowers, skies this blue, clouds this puffy, so many bubbles it'd make a mermaid jealous! You'd think Disney itself would have had a say in creating this. I'm just saying if happiness was a vineyard, it would be Iron Horse! The detail and intricacy that goes in to making these delicious bottles of joy is so much work and it really shows, they truly are works of art, and I do love a good bottle of art.
And let me tell you about our sommelier, Grayson. This dude was a blast! We had so much fun I swear we should've had an audience with all of our jokes (Jk) but seriously, we shared so much laughter, and agreed that sparkling wine truly brings joy out of people, I mean how can it not? The simple sound of a popping cork instantly makes me smile, it's like listening to the sweet serenade of a bird, okay maybe not but I'm sure you get it.
So my first walk away from Iron Horse was semi-victorious with the Winter Fairy Tale Wedding set, which included Winter's Cuvée, Fairy Tale, and Wedding Cuvée. I can't wait to pop those bottles open at home. I'm looking forward to the fizzies tickling my nose and doing a happy dance to my favorite song! Because let's face it--who doesn't look fabulous dancing with a glass of sparkling wine in hand? And I say semi-victorious because had I been driving and NOT flying I would have taken more, my luggage was kinda full already.
Anyway, this is long but well deserved, the moral of my story is life is short, pop that cork and get fizzy with it.
