One year ago, my husband and I got married at Ironclad and it was such a beautiful evening! Stacy and the entire staff ensured we had a wonderful experience and their overall customer service was truly above and beyond. Their cocktails are phenomenal, and even guests who weren’t bourbon fans commented on how much they liked the drinks. We highly recommend Ironclad whether you’re just stopping by for a drink or want to host an event. Thank you to the whole crew for creating an amazing atmosphere for our wedding night! We can’t wait to come back to enjoy your bourbon.

If you haven’t checked this place out, do yourself a favor and get out here soonest! This place has such a chill and welcoming vibe! The buildings interior is gritty and refined at the same time. The bourbon… smooth. The tour guide: well spoken and friendly. If I haven’t convinced you, you’ll at least be buzzed by the time you leave so make sure you bring your designated driver!

Fantastic tasting room for a bourbon and/or cocktail flight. Classy yet casual and relaxed atmosphere, fast and friendly service. Wife and I did cocktail flights this trip, looking forward to going back to do a bourbon flight and/or try more delicious cocktails on rotation. Uncle Baby Billy and Rattlesnake cocktails were both great, similar save for Uncle being a bit sweeter, well-balanced and nice egg white. Ham biscuit and pimento cheese (with a sleeve of Ritz crackers!) on the side were a good value and perfect accompaniment to our flights. Pimento cheese pairs particularly well with the spicy Dad Joke cocktail, but goes great with everything else, too. Home on the Range is another winner, perfectly balanced and turns out Jarritos Tamarind is a great mixer, gonna have to try that on our own at home! Tough Cookie is a wonderful mellow seasonal option; port, guava, and nutmeg complement the bourbon and each other nicely. Even Stephen is a stronger, just as delightful, seasonal choice.

Amazing venue!! Their space is decorated so cool and has a great vibe. Once we walked into this place, I knew it would be a perfect place to bring your date or your girl's. John(server) was knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. The cocktails he recommended were unique and delicious. Surely, I would highly recommend this place to anyone for an event or just go hang out for drinks and some food!! It's definitely worth a visit! I can't wait to go back and try more bourbon cocktail drinks and food. My favorite drink was the cashmere.

Such a cool vibe as soon as you walk into this Distillery. The decor is absolutely beautiful. We sat at the bar and I ordered the three drink flight, I only wish I was able to be served more alcohol because I would have kept trying cocktails. They were absolutely fantastic. We also got to check out their VIP room and I urge anyone in the area looking to book a party to check this place out because you will not be disappointed in the room, the cocktails or the alcohol. Can't wait to get back to Newport News and visit again!

My husband and I decided last year we wanted to do our elopement celebration at Ironclad. We frequently visit to try the rotating menus! Stacey was so easy to work with and responded quickly to my emails. Our tasting was beyond our expectation! On the day of, the staff working made sure we had everything we needed and were extremely easy to work with. We had about 60 people attend. I received many compliments from guest stating how happy they were they didn’t have to wait in a line for drinks. The venue itself is beautiful, you really don’t need much as far as added decor. If you’re looking to host an event, I can not recommend Ironclad enough! We have already started talking about doing our 10 year anniversary here!

So glad to have a place like this in my city! Finally got a chance to visit the tasting room and sampled 4 of 5 of the bourbons. My hands down favorite was the one aged in coffee barrels. The flavor was smooth and the aftertaste was outstanding. You could really taste the coffee on the finish. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely make this a regular spot!
