When digging a hole, I slashed my in-ground sprinkler line with my shovel (in 2 spots!). I needed help figuring out a fix. Chad was available, friendly, and patient as he collected parts and explained how I should use them. With the right directions and supplies, I repaired the line quickly and easily. Thank you, Chad!

We have been customers of Irrigation Equipment for many years. Irrigation Equipment is a Bay Area independent company with excellent irrigation supplies and wonderful service. Over the winter, the critters had been chewing on our irrigation drip tubing and sprinkler heads. Urgent repairs were in order as we were stepping up our vegetable planting. Due to the COVID-19 Stay At Home order in our state, I called the company to order by mail. Some of the parts I needed were of unusual sizes and not commonly available. Chad was extremely patient and professional while I, as a layperson, described the tubing and emitters. Chad got every part down cold and completed the order in no time. And when he heard I was a senior citizen sheltering in place, he said he would drop off the order on his way home the same day, no charge. Talking about a great company and its people!

I walked in, didn't have to wait, showed them a short video of my leak. They immediately knew what to do and showed me how to do it. The part I needed cost only $1.50. Thanks!

I fixed the drip irrigation system at my home. I first went to Home Depot, but finding what I needed was very frustrating because the parts were all jumbled up, hard to see, and some parts were not in stock. So I went to Irrigation Equipment Co. There the clerk found everything I needed and explained how to put it together. Even if more expensive than Home Depot, the help was more than worth it.

We have a small non profit with considerable grounds that need irrigation. These guys have been the most helpful and best products and prices. Go in honest about your knowledge and experience, they will help.

The prices as as low as the nondescript office would suggest. But their knowledge and experience are unmatched. I wish I'd come here at the outset. Sure you can go on YouTube and get some tips, but these folks are real and so is their advice. My go to place here on out.

Small, local place that has pretty knowledgeable staff and is willing to explain everything to help you with your irrigation projects. They have quite a few parts, and their prices are very reasonable. We definitely appreciated how knowledgeable and informative everyone we interacted with was - we definitely couldn't have gotten the same level of help at a big box store and appreciate this local business.

I was having a problem with a faulty valve that controlled the irrigation of a long parking strip. Spoke to Chad about the issue and he suggested replacing the actuator. The part was ordered from Superior and came in today. I brought the part home and found it didn't fit. I returned the part and reviewed my options with Chad. Because the actuator was 30 years old, a new part would require replacing the body it fits on which would have a great deal of work on my part. The other option was using a rebuild kit to attempt to save the existing actuator. Chad took a half hour disassembling the part and putting it back together with new gaskets. He reversed the original charge of $137 and charged me $15 for the rebuild. Now that's what I call service from an honest, hard working man!!

Really great experience today! I came in for a new washer for my backflow preventer, which was leaking badly and wasting water. The salesperson informed me that there were actually two washers that needed to be replaced, not just the one I was asking for. He showed me an example, one access port on the top, and the other one was on the bottom, which was underground and not visible to me. I've been servicing the one on top for 20 years and I never knew the bottom one was there. I dug it out and replaced them both, problem solved! His talking the time to explain saved me a ton of money. Otherwise, I would have had to call someone to diagnose and service it. My cost was $22 in parts vs probably what would have been $200+ in a service call. If you need irrigation equipment, I would highly recommend this place.

Very helpful. I showed pictures of my damaged Toro sprinkler heads. He quickly found the nozzles I needed, showed me how to replace the pop-ups by digging down and grasping the body, then twisting the top until it came free and I could replace the spring and the popup. It all worked.

Chad demystified the irrigation system to me in the most plain and pleasant manner. He answered all questions (both in-person or by phone) quickly and expertly. What a pleasure.

I breezed in ten minutes before closing, something I try not to do but. She was quick and thankfully I didn't seem to keep her late.

I absolutely LOVE this small business. They are so knowledgeable about all types of irrigation systems (from drip to sprinkler) and they are well stocked (don't have to worry about sold out parts). Lastly, their products are high-quality compared to irrigation products sold at big box stores. Highly highly highly recommend-- this small business is the real deal!

Extremely knowledgeable staff always willing to give you their expert opinion. Don't waste your money buying junk from Home Depot when you can buy quality irrigation equipment. There is a difference that is why all the pros shop there and why I have been shopping there for 40 years. Even as a licensed landscape contractor at times require advice consultation and troubleshooting. They are hands- down the best. Shout out to Chad and Sarah for their continued support! Apologies if I missed anyone there are a few others who work there that are amazing too but I forget their names

Excellent patient advice on how to fix the irrigation system that was incorrectly installed in my yard. I had valves installed at the wrong height that would not work correctly. They were installed in a very small space and I didn't want to dig up pavers for better access. Chad listened to my problem and my plan and he examined the photos. Then he suggested a better plan and talked me through the work! I came away with all the parts and additional confidence.

Someone recommended me to this spot and the owner was very friendly and helpful. He got me all set up fairly quickly. Thanks so much for having everything one would need to set up an elective irrigation system!

Just the nicest people! You walk in and it looks like a nice office. I said "upscale" and that tickled them. But in the back is a huge space with parts galore and they help you. When you say 'the little hoogie on the top" they can decipher that into an actual part. Great experience. And note- there is parking.

This place is hands down one of my BEST finds ever. Easily. After getting treated like a child and being condescended to at some of their competitors (who shall go unmentioned), I finally came across this place on Yelp. They've been around for 50 years for for whatever reason they keep a low profile. But really this place has the best customer service I've ever seen. I was literally tearing my hair out with drip irrigation watching a 1000 irrelevant youtube videos but Chad came in and saved the day. I went in early morning and he took the time to help me find all the parts, advise me and basically design my system and tell me what I needed for each container / vegetable bed / native plant. I really can't emphasize enough how grateful I am to these guys for making my life so easy. I have to leave the country for a month and was really stressed out about my vegetables but these guys really made my life so easy, I am happy to support them and will be going back very frequently! Not only are their prices super competitive but these people really know what they are doing and they are more than happy to share their wealth of knowledge. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've been in twice for advice on my drip irrigation for my back yard vegetables and fruit trees and on both occasions, once from Ruth(?) the other time from Chad(?), I felt listened to, and respected. They were both thorough and patient and gave me different options for my system. I'm headed back today to buy all my supplies to self-install, with great confidence I'll be getting the right supplies and very thoughtful explanation on how to install it properly. Super local business recommended by a colleague who also did her own install.

These guys are great. Sometimes it is nice going straight to the experts. After a trip to Home Depot, and being told by one of their sales associates that there are no 5/8" x 5/8" couplings for rain drip systems, I decided to try somewhere else. That's how I found these guys in Berkeley. I walked in, told them what system I have, and they said "yup we've got those in stock". Needless to say, I will be going back here for ALL of my irrigation needs.

Sprinkler valve broke, so picked up a replacement here. Showed them a picture, and they picked the exact replacement with instructions to install. In and out in no time; highly recommended!

Besides the Urban Farmer this is one of the only places in the Bay Area to pick up quality irrigation materials They have the goods and will help make sure you are buying the right stuff. I give them two stars becase of customer service. There's one guy who is totally nice and helpful. He gets five stars. The other guy though gets two. He acts like he's doing you a favor by looking up from his book. Then makes you feel stupid for not having experience or knowledge. Large guy with tats. Maybe that's how he got treated as a kid and doesn't have much else to offer. I can pity his possible general lack of happiness but not recommend him as a shop helper. He drags the place down.

I went today to purchase equipment to set up a drip system for a home in San Francisco. I'm an irrigation novice (had only done a system once before) and I wasn't sure what to expect since these folks work with commercial companies as well as residential. I figured that experience was worth paying a little extra and maybe getting some ribbing for my level of ignorance. Instead, Chad was really friendly and helpful, answered all my questions, helped me figure out how to handle a backflow valve on my faucet and set me up with everything I needed. My system will handle a large deck area. I was prepared to spend a few hundred dollars including the drip control, and instead walked out with the complete set of materials I needed for about $110. I hope that Yelp isn't trying to hide these folks, because they really are a gem.

Chad was extremely helpful in working through my irrigation plans and making sure I had all the right supplies. Prices are less than Home Depot or OSH and the quality is much better.

I took the two hour class yesterday and it was great! I have no experience with this, but I feel I am in good hands as I begin my summer of back yard remodeling. I will definitely buy the products from them and rely on them for their obvious expertise!
