Where do I start. This was such an uncomfortable and awkward dinner situation. I showed up at the restaurant just passed 9pm. I had absolutely no expectations but I noticed they had a sign in the entrance that said they had a special from Sunday to Thursday starting from 9pm for 3 items for 33$. I was thinking thats cool, so i went online and saw that they had 10 options you could choose from the 3 for 3 menu. So i kindly told my waiter thats what i would choose. He said the menu had changed a bit but didnt specify what exactly had changed. I also asked if he popular go to utems on his menu and answered yes but didn't specify what they were 🤔 I ended up picking my own choice of 3 options from the 3 for 3 options and picked one item that wasnt (hence 4 items total thinking i would pay 33$ plus my item that wasnt on the 3 fir 33 menu) . When my food arrived my second item was something i had never ordered so i asked the waiter and he kindly said there was a misunderstanding and that the item I originally asked for was no longer on the menu. So i went back to the 3 for 3 menu and told him to give me a bit of time to choose something else. I end up choosing a 3rd item. At the end of my meal the waiter kindly brought me a dessert and said it was for not having the item i had asked for initially whuch I gladly accepted. When it came time to pay for the bill i didnt understand why it was much pricier than what I expected it to be. I looked at it sbd to my surprise there was no 3 for 33$ special it was everything at its original price. I kindly told the waiter I didn't understand the price and asked why the 3 for 33$ special hadnt bedn applied to my bill. He said im sorry the 3 for 33$ spexhas not been removed from our website. I looked st him puzzled and said you have a big sign in the entrance way stating 3 for 33$ after 9pm??? He then said ge was dorry and thst he would change the bill. It was a very unpleasant situation. Its a shame because i live right nxt to this restaurant and it was my first time there i would really wanted to love my experience so i could go back but it just made me uncomfortable. Also a shame because the food was really good. Unfortunately i will not be returning be ause of this reason.

The ambience was very lovely, and the background music was not too loud. The service was very friendly. The food we ordered was just okay, but overall, it was a nice experience. One thing I found strange — their tip is still calculated including the tax. Not sure why. 🤔

Honestly a really fun and nice Izakaya. Staff were awesome and super helpful offering both help and recommendations. Quick turn around on food and not too pricey for what the quality provides.

Ambiance is great; relaxed casual setting, and decor reminiscent of sights you’d see in Tokyo. Food was good, sake selection is great, but the star of the show was Vivanne, who gave us top tier service. She was very attentive to our table, always serving us with a smile. Since we booked for a dinner to celebrate my birthday a few weeks late, my friends had brought me a gift bag. She noticed it by the table, and finished the meal by bringing me a birthday dessert (with sparklers!) without my friends even asking. Will definitely come back, even just to explore the sake list a bit more. Merci Vivianne! P.S.: for full Japanese immersion, use the middle bathroom.

Fantastic food, service and gotta love the sake bombs! Amazing to have such a great izakaya on the South Shore.

The place was busy on a Saturday night. The food was really good, but some portions were a bit small. Service was solid, though everything came out pretty fast — we got there at 8 and were done by 9. Music was good and not too loud. The crowd was a mix of boomers, families, and younger people. Might go back if I’m in the area.

Not too sure how this place got such good reviews and ratings… Food : 2/5 - sashimi platter : average quality, some are fresh some not that much - tataki : poor quality fish - kimchi fried rice : very very oily and not much kimchi flavour. Big disappointment - sweet potato croquette : served cold - yakisoba noodles : very salty - duck mazemen : taste good - gochujang fried chicken : taste okay - baked oysters : pretty good, best one out of all the dishes we had Service : 2.5/5 Service time was very long, we waited at least 35-40min between our first dishes and the rest of it. It’s not like they sorted between appetizers and main… No soy sauce served with sashimi platter ? First time seeing this… Have to ask for the dipping plates after asking for soy sauce. We asked for an English version of drinks menu. Waiter said they don’t have any and just walked away. No recommendation or translation provided. Vibe/decor : 4/5 Nice decoration, not too loud, clean washroom. You get a fun moment when ordering the sake bomb. Overall experience : too pricey for the quality and taste of the food. Service needs improvement. Will not come back.

Yelp
Grilled beef tongue was delicious. However, the ramen was too salty and heavy. The baked oysters were too small, barely could I taste the oyster and it was all cheese. The service was great and ambiance was nice though.

Yelp
We visited their terrace during a social evening and everything from oysters to tasting bites were being circulated. The location is easy to access and a popular spot so we saw everything from a building evacuation at the apartment block nearby to meeting the Red Arrows (Royal Air Force aerobatic flight team). The location itself is gorgeous, and from their booths to their bathrooms it was like an Instagram backdrop. Every staff member throughout the evening were so friendly and hospitable, it really went a long way. My favourite part was the starters as we were able to share a variety of tastes across our group. The sashimi was fresh and cut to the perfect portion sizes, I'm a sucker for gyozas and the karaage came quickly to the table and retained all of it's best features. I am a big fan of their 3 for $33 special because its a great excuse to share dishes, and their happy hour 3 to 6 at the bar for cheap snacks is likely to bring me back.

Yelp
New japonese restaurant near 10-30 mall, with affordable prices. At lunch it's 24$ for starter, main dish and a coffee. And my karaage ramen was good but but fries chicken was fat. But the food was a bit bland, and you have to put lots of salt and pepper.

Yelp
This place is located in a new area in Brossard. We got lucky to find a parking. This restaurant is right next to a hotel. The esthetic of this place is very nice, it's gives Tokyo vibes Our waiter was very nice and knew everything about the menu. I got myself a spicy margarita and it was indeed spicy and satisfies my cravings. They have tapas options on the menu as well as big plates. We decided to order a few different staff from the tapas option We got the beef gyoza and they were so so good. Definitely recommend these. We got the Edamame which were good, nothing special. The tuna tataki was good aswell, really likes the sauce on this. The fried cauliflower was actually really good and light for it being fried so we really liked that . And the Sable fish was one of the best, the fish was cooked to perfection and was light aswell To end the night we got a creme brulee and an espresso Martini, both were okay nothing special. There was alot of groups when we went so I think it's a good place for small and big groups. Plus they have a very nice bar area

Yelp
excellent service and great food (try the clam, and veggie dumpling), 100% recommend this location

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and the food is good but not great (a few dishes are bland which I don't expect from a Japanese restaurant). Drinks are a little disappointing for a place that claims to specialize in them (disappointment is with size and taste). Service is ok but with covid, it's hard to find places with great service these days.
