IRUCA TOKYO

"The owner-chef discovered an original soup by researching synergistic effects with umami. Blending dashi from chicken, pork, shrimp and shellfish, he created a soup with layer upon layer of umami. His ‘Porcini Soy-sauce Ramen’ features a fragrant paste of porcini mushrooms and black truffles. ‘Salted Yuzu Ramen’ transforms the soup with ginger and spices for a modern sensibility." - Michelin Inspector

To show the highest respect for great food — I left nothing but an empty bowl. No wonder this place is Michelin Guide recommended — absolutely worth the hype! Normally there’s at least a one-hour wait, but today I only waited 10 minutes. So lucky! 🍜

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It's so good we came back! An unforgettable ramen experience at Iruca Tokyo Roppongi We had two different ramen bowls (porcini mushroom special and Yuzu ramen) at Iruca Tokyo in Roppongi and they were absolutely phenomenal – easily among the best we’ve ever had in Tokyo. Each bowl was a masterclass in flavour: one with a delicate, clear broth topped with silky chashu and herbed butter that melted into umami heaven; the other a rich, shoyu-based beauty with perfectly cooked egg, dumplings, and tender meats. Every element was thought out, balanced, and delicious. We were lucky with the timing – only waited around 10 minutes. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, and we really appreciated the clear rules. This is a place that values the food and the craft, not just photos or hype. You’re encouraged to savour and respect the meal, and that makes the experience even better. Iruca is not just a meal – it's a reminder of how powerful simple, well-executed food can be. If you're in Tokyo, this is an absolute must!!!

My 11 year old son really like ramen noodles since this one is located only 10 mins from our hotel . We decided to give it a try . We arrived around 7:20pm . There was no line . First the staff wanted us to wait outside and line up straight. While seated , we saw a lot of cation noted ( no talking, no photo taking ) we were under tremendous pressure to finish our food . We couldn’t enjoy it at all . We ended up left without finished the food . We are NOT recommending this restaurant. We were lucky we didn’t get to wait long . If I need to wait 1-2 hours with the service I received today , I would be very pissed

In Tokyo's competitive ramen scene, Iruca Tokyo in Ebisu stands out. Its signature bowl is a masterpiece, starting with a unique "quattro" soup. This special broth blends chicken, pork, shrimp, and mussels for a deep, complex umami flavor. The bowl is topped with tender sous-vide pork, plump wontons, and a perfect soft-boiled egg. The key is the spoonful of black truffle and porcini paste served on the side. Stirring it into the soup releases an incredible aroma, elevating the dish to a new level. It's a fantastic fusion of Japanese tradition and western creating a simple yet unforgettable ramen experience.

A member of the staff was a bit rude when talking to me and my boyfriend. He told us to move behind with quite a bossy and rude attitude which left us quite upset. Anyway the ramen is really good. The boletus is really a unique thing and I get that it's more expensive than average. The egg melts in your mouth and is among the best I've had. The noodles also have a good bite on them, it's just right and they're not too thick not too slim. Definitely come if you're into ramen and want to try a different flavor. If you're just a beginner with ramen I think you can find equally good options with all the toppings for around 1500 instead of 2200 if you wanna save a buck and don't have time to line.

I recently tried Iruca Tokyo in Roppongi, and the ramen was very good ; definitely high quality with a deep umami flavor. I lived the combination of 4 types of broth which was included in the “special” ramen. I could really taste tge different elemnts throughout the eating experience and in the aftertaste. The broth was quite shio-forward, which isn’t my personal favorite since I tend to prefer less salty ramen, but it was still well-made and satisfying. However they do have a yuzu option, which i sadly did not try, which i might go back to try. Luckily, I got in during the first seating, because by the time I left there was a long line of people waiting ; even in the sweltering heat! That said, I wouldn’t wait in line for it. While the ramen itself is solid, it’s not something that blew me away or felt truly unique compared to other spots in Tokyo. Regarding the service, I want to clarify that I understand ramen is typically a quick meal ; you don’t expect to linger or have long conversations with staff. Still, the service felt minimal and somewhat transactional, like they were focused mostly on getting the ramen out the door rather than creating a memorable experience. The staff were polite, but it wasn’t as warm or engaging as some other ramen shops I’ve been to. Overall, Iruca Tokyo delivers a quality bowl of ramen, especially if you enjoy a strong umami and salt-forward flavor. But if you’re looking for an exceptional or immersive experience, it may not quite hit the mark.

Iruca Ramen offers a modern twist on traditional ramen, with a touch of French flair that makes it stand out. The broth is light yet complex, and the use of ingredients like duck and truffle adds a refined edge without being too heavy. The presentation is beautiful, and you can tell there’s real attention to detail. Noodles had great texture, and the overall balance was solid.

Delicious and complex broth! Very light but has many layers to it, esp if you try it w out mixing the porcini in first, then with. They only accept credit card/IC card here btw
