This was my first visit to this facility, which is dedicated to teaching about the history of Irvine, and I was fortunate enough to attend a lecture on urban planning by Mr. Dannenbrink. The lecture was incredibly interesting, and his presentation materials were excellent. I thought it would be great if they could be scanned and added to a digital archive.

An Irvine historical site that brings together the history with historical objects and the great stories by the docent. This is not only the history of Irvine from the Native Americans through the master planning of the city and stories of the progression of the West. It is a great place for all ages ( maybe not infants) to visit. If you live in Orange County or just want to understand how it became what it is, I would for sure want to visit this place.

The Irvine History Society Museum is a great place to learn about the History of Irvine. The society has a hands on learning approach to learning. If you want to know about the history of Irvine, I recommend starting the Journey here and get a panflet on other historical places in Irvine, i.e. Katy Wheeler Library and Old Town Irvine.
