A city-run museum with an engaging permanent gallery on Irving’s story, timely rotating exhibits, and Texas’s first Smithsonian Spark!Lab for young inventors. Recent programming shows strong community ties and updated hours with free Sundays announced for 2025.
Awesome local history museum! Very well-organized with lots of interesting details about the Irving area, as well as some bits about the JFK assassination. I especially liked the 'Fashion of Ballet Folklorico' special exhibit; the curated pieces were beautiful and I learned a lot about Mexican dance and culture. Highly recommend a visit!

I visited the Irving Archives Museum for the traveling exhibit called The Green Book. I had only heard a little about the green book before and I know there was also a movie about this history within the African American community but the Archives museum really brought this history to life for me with the interactive displays

What a delightful place! I visited in late January and I was impressed by the quality of the venue, the thoughtful approach to historic and art objects presented and the way that the history of the Irving area was explained in an accurate yet thoughtful manner. April and Alyssa (sp) in the shop were both AMAZING resources and the Archives & Museum are lucky to have them on the team!
