A wonderful big exhibit over the history of Irving, as well as different traveling exhibits! Definitely look in to see what special exhibits they have open, there's always something cool! Also definitely stop by the gift shop, I love the postcards and there's so many homemade goods there too! Great way to spend a day, for all ages!

Awesome local history museum! Very well-organized with lots of interesting details about the Irving area, as well as some bits about the JFK assassination. I especially liked the 'Fashion of Ballet Folklorico' special exhibit; the curated pieces were beautiful and I learned a lot about Mexican dance and culture. Highly recommend a visit!

I visited the Irving Archives Museum for the traveling exhibit called The Green Book. I had only heard a little about the green book before and I know there was also a movie about this history within the African American community but the Archives museum really brought this history to life for me with the interactive displays

This museum is a MUST visit if you come to Dallas. Its amazing with a lot of STEM toys for kids. They are also free on sunday which makes it a plus. They are well maintained and almost empty on Sunday. My 3 year old loved it here

What a delightful place! I visited in late January and I was impressed by the quality of the venue, the thoughtful approach to historic and art objects presented and the way that the history of the Irving area was explained in an accurate yet thoughtful manner. April and Alyssa (sp) in the shop were both AMAZING resources and the Archives & Museum are lucky to have them on the team!
