WOW!! I got the “just for you” combo. Best $11 I’ve ever spent. Nice size burger, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Buns nice and soft! Big portion of fries and a drink. Definitely my new Go-to for burgers! The rootbeer float was awesome!! Idk what kind of ice cream they use but it’s super legit!! This was a really good find!!

1st time here. 9/21/25 Wow, wow wow! Maybe one of the best tasting burgers for me in a long time. Really really yummy!! Came back the next day so looking forward to their breakfast burrito, only to find out they don't serve breakfast anymore, big bummer!

I stopped in for a quick bite and ended up having one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The patties were perfectly cooked juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with quality beef. Their signature sauce is next-level, and the fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned just right. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. Tina was an absolute rockstar—super friendly, fast, and genuinely cared that we were having a good time. She gave great recommendations, checked in without being overbearing, and made the whole meal feel like we were regulars even though it was our first visit. The burgers are so delicious and beautiful place dine area and plenty of parking space shared with other shops. Overall the place is excellent kids playground coffee bar pizza place and Whole Foods store just in corner.

We just ordered food for delivery and literally NOTHING was right. My husband and I are furious. If you can’t even read a very simple list of ingredients you’re a massive failure. The most obvious was we had items with chili - including just a bowl of chili - and not one drop of chili was in the bag anywhere. We called and talked to Vicki who said they ‘tried to contact us’ to let us know there was no Chili but ‘couldn’t reach us’…. We have our phones right here. No missed calls or texts. Who still sends out an order based around chili with NO chili, that you pay extra for, and think that’s ok??? And besides that, everything else was still wrong! They put lettuce on my ‘chili’ burger (picture below), and no mayo or pickles on my husbands burgers that was supposed to have EXTRA pickles. No onions in the ‘chili’ cheese onion fries we ordered. Everything about this brain dead encounter has totally turned us off. We are out tip money for the delivery so Vicki offered a free meal instead of monetary compensation which is too bad because at the moment we are too upset to consider going back there ever again.

Came in this morning and had the BEST experience! Tina and Luis were so friendly and made the whole vibe feel super welcoming. They had everything running so smoothly and made sure we were taken care of right away. The burgers were fresh and juicy, the shakes were perfect, and even the sandwiches were amazing. You can tell the team really cares — it feels like a local Malibu gem with 10/10 service. If you’re in Malibu, definitely stop by Irv’s in the morning and say hi to Tina and Luis — they’ll make your day!

Visiting Malibu and this mini-mall had this burger spot. I had the tuna melt and it was very good and cheesy. There is seating on the side. The service was fast and overall great experience. They have many different burger options, floats, and milkshakes.

This is the best burger I've had in a really long time. I feel as though a lot of places try to do one too many things when it comes to a burger and end up taking away from what makes a burger great rather than adding to it, this place does no such thing. Solid burger, great quality and off the charts flavor. The service was great, everything we asked for (extra pickle, adding bacon) was given, no mistakes nor complaints. Vicky/Vickie aka 'Grill Daddy' did her big one with these burgers. Oh so good and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Even though I haven't pulled up to the actual spot yet, Irv's comes through like a pro every time on Uber Eats. Burger shows up fresh. Still hot. Still juicy. No sad lettuce. No soggy fries. Just that classic smashburger vibe wrapped in a warm bun like it just left the grill. You can tell they actually care about the packaging. Everything still feels like it was plated five minutes ago. The crinkle fries slap. The sauces hit. It's giving comfort food that doesn't skip leg day. If the delivery's this good, I can only imagine what the in-person experience is like. Definitely adding it to my go-to burger list. Might even pull up next time I'm in Malibu just to see the hype live. For now though. This is a certified hood classic in a delivery bag. It's giving... burger joint that trained under In-N-Out but grew up on Fairfax.

Easily Top 5 burger joint in Los Angeles. I personally love the Patty melt. It's my go 2. The TOT's and Onion Rings are Top Tier!! That's really hard to find these days. My kids love it as well. There is a park right behind the restaurant. The guy that's at the cash register majority of time I'm there ( Johnathan I believe) pays attention to detail and handles crowded lines efficiently. Keep up the great work! I wish there was more seating as it's getting more popular by the day, but hey if that's the only Con I found...that's a good thing .

Decent burger shack in the Malibu area. I visited this casual eats spot around 1pm on a Saturday and it was decently busy. They are located in a shopping area, so there's a parking lot, but it can get pretty busy. You order outside through the window and the staff will call you to pickup your meal on the intercom. The have an outdoor seating area as well. I got the Irv's Original Roadside Double and it was a good, standard burger. The burger was pretty hefty, juicy, and meaty. It had a savory and charred flavor. The buns were also soft and pillowy. The fries were crispy and nicely seasoned. They weren't too salty nor too plain which I liked. Overall, a solid combo. However, I would pay $15 rather than $20 for this since it just seemed like a standard burger combo, nothing extraordinary to justify the higher price. Overall, a decent experience here. I wouldn't go out of my way to get a burger from here again and would opt for something cheaper like In-N-Out. However, the burger wasn't bad and I would eat it again if someone gave it to me.

My sister's in town, so we rolled up to Malibu and stumbled into IRv's -- and let me tell you, it was exactly what I didn't know I needed. First off, the setup is adorable. Walking up to the front window gave me major boardwalk vibes -- like Wildwood, New Jersey, or the county fair -- but elevated. Clean, cute, and just... charming as hell. I ordered a protein-style burger (because bread and I are taking a break), and it was genuinely good. Juicy, satisfying, no drama. But what really made the experience? The people. Vicky was an absolute gem -- warm, welcoming, just effortlessly kind. The guy working with her was also amazing, and I feel like a jerk for not getting his name because he was just as lovely. We sat outside with the sea breeze rolling in, eating our food like life was simple and good -- because in that moment, it honestly was. IRv's gave big "this is why we live in California" energy. Highly recommend if you want chill vibes, great service, and a side of sunshine with your burger.

This is by far one of the best fast food experiences I've had, my server Viki was attentive kind and full of joy. I love the ambiance of this location, the open kitchen you can see all the cooks on the line laboring love into the meals. I ordered a turkey burger with a side of tater tots and ranch dressing. Everything was fresh and made with love. Will be returning for that Oreo milkshake and chili cheese fries.

Really good burger at a premium price. Delicious smash-burger style with tasty toppings and fresh buns. Fries appear to be dipped in a super light batter, quite crispy. Pleasant outdoor seating. Gabriel treated us very well today, and thank you Liz as well.

5/5 We stopped by Irv's Burgers in Malibu this past weekend, and wow--what a gem! It was our first time trying it out, and we're already planning our next visit. We usually hit up Prince Street Pizza (also in the same plaza and one of our faves), but this time we were in the mood for burgers--and Irv's absolutely delivered. Honestly, it's one of the best burger joints I've ever tried. I'm a big In-N-Out fan, and Irv's is definitely right up there in that same top tier. The flavors, the freshness, the quality--it was all spot on. The setup is super chill and convenient: you order at one window, pick up at the other, and there's a nice seating area where you can kick back and enjoy your food. The plaza itself has a great ambiance--laid-back Malibu vibes with just the right energy. Plus, the customer service was warm and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Irv's Burgers has officially made it onto my must-return list. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Great burger, HORRENDOUS SERVICE. I work down the street and have been dying to try out Irvs for a very long time. Seen it all over the place on Ig and yelp, photos look amazing. So I had to give it a try! After working a 12 hour shift I said "cool" let's go get some double cheese burgers. Once I walked up to the counter, I wasn't greeted by the blonde girl working 5/29/25 at 6:05 pm who took my order #98. She had this unimpressed look. This form of attitude and demeanor as if she hated her life, and hated everyone who approached the window. I've worked in food service, hell I owned my own pop up for a few years. She definitely was not up to service standards. Completely tainted my experience in purchasing food from a "well established institute". No hello, no smile. She even said " it's loud here so you're gonna have to speak up " once the order was taken im asked "what's your name?" Continues to mispronounce because she couldn't lean forward to hear me out. I'm not gonna be yelling so you can feel satisfied of being an uneducated individual. When I had an issue hearing someone, I would state in a sincere manner that I am having difficulty understanding, with some respect I would lean forward to do my best to hear someone out after asking them to repeat themselves. I never blatantly insisted to have them speak up. Upon receiving my order, I watched another gentleman being told to have a good day but what about me? Nada, just had the bag placed in front of me and window closed asap. What if I needed sauce, what if I needed something else. Had no chance. No napkins in the bag, so what did I have to use? My shirt! Thanks for nothing Irvs. Total disgust. You guys need to learn how to maintain your integrity and customer service. Because of her lackluster and failed performance bite after bite from your rendition of the "best burger", it didn't hit that well. I didn't haven't to go there after a long day of work, but I did. Now I won't be returning. Respect is something you apparently don't receive as a customer. It's a shame to imagine this neighborhood has this form of snotty behavior still. People need to remember it's not our fault some have particular jobs or careers. I didn't tell her to get this job and for the blonde girl to be this unpleasant just makes me feel like I should have taken my business elsewhere. Which in the future I'll know better now. All in all burger was good, would try at ANOTHER Irvs next time.

They have some of the burgers around. I had it for the first time down in West Hollywood and was really surprised that they're now in Malibu as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I'm a very picky eater, so my order was complicated but when I received my food everything was correctly made. They have patio seating and it's so refreshing to be able to eat in the open under the lovely beach weather environment. I'm definitely going to be back!

Really great fast prepped burgers! Served in a fast food type line where you order and grab and can enjoy at your house, in the car or in their outdoor seating area. Will be coming back again, 4/5 stars cause all their tables in their outdoor seating area weren't cleaned off at all so they were all really gross, we had to use a ton of napkins and water to clean our table off

If you love salt you'll love this place the food is cold And tastes like they dumped a pound of salt on everything there is a lot of better options

I went to Irv's Burgers on Saturday and had one of the worst experiences. Gabriel kept rushing me while I was ordering, just for my fries to come out cold. While I was waiting, I literally saw someone in the kitchen on their phone instead of working, and another staff member pushed trash down into the bin with their gloves on and then went right back to touching food with the same gloves. My burger patty was burnt and basically not edible. I ordered everything to go and they still forgot the ranch I PAID for. By the time I got to my car I was just pissed cold fries, no ranch, and a burnt burger. The staff didn't even bother to check the window because they clearly knew they messed up and just didn't care.

This was probably one of the most expensive burgers I've had all year, but it was worth it. The meat was seasoned to perfection, the bread and all of the toppings were fresh, and each layer of flavor was present. The fries were also good. These burgers are huge! I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture.

I ordered a "Best Burger" and fries. To state it kindly, both were mediocre tasting. I was hoping to find a new place to go for a burger. Unfortunately this isn't going to be it for me. I won't be going back.

Fifth and last time. First experience was good. It got progressively worse every other time . As others have mentioned, it's mediocre at best. Always slower and sloppier than before. Staff cares NOT what product they put out . For around $14 to $15 dollars after tax and tip ( paid in advance these days) , you can do better elsewhere. Might as well make a burger at home . Good burgers up in western malibu are $25 to $30 but are real good. Not in everyone's budget. Last time at Irv's for me and I won't recommend it. I tried ....

I've been out of the dating scene for way too long. So many things have changed... The rules, the selection, the way of choosing. And boy, has it's gotten way more expensive! This is starting to sound Sus. But I finally decided, if I'm gonna get back out there I need to take that first leap of faith... Because It's now or never. My problem... I have been loyal for way too long, but it's time to see what I've been missing... So, here goes nothin' It was a beautiful Friday afternoon in Malibu. (No we didn't go to Nobu!!) And all of a sudden, there he was! Right in the parking lot looking Oh. So. Hot. His name you ask? He said he liked to go by Irv, so I went with it. Was it Love at first sight? No, not really, but he did smell good. And eventually, I knew he was just what I was looking for. So, I went with what a wise Rapper once said... "Y.O.L.O" (You Only Live Once) I went straight up to Irv and when I was presented with do you wanna Smash or Pass... You know I Smashed!! The next day... I didn't call. I just didn't have the heart. But I did think lot about him.... A lot! Out of sheer regret... I decided I had to tell my wife about my little hook up with Irv in Malibu and she was beyond PISSED!!! And quite frankly, a little bit disappointed in me. Here's what she said... "You went to Irv's? In Malibu??" "Without me!!?" "And on top of that, instead of Pass, you Smashed!" And to throw just a little more salt my way... She gave me crap because I mentioned that I liked the way Irv Shakes, his Milk Shakes that is ;) Yes, when given the opportunity to Swipe Right Or to Swipe Left I 100% swiped RIGHT! And you know my only option from there was to SMASH!!! And let me tell you, even though some would describe it as a bit cheesy; there's no doubt that it was hot, it was juicy, and without a doubt some of the softness buns I've ever seen this side of Surfrider Beach. Irv... I'm not gonna lie... Your buns were PERFECT! For now, my dating days are over because I finally found a MATCH! To Irv, my love for you...my love for your Smash Burger, your double-fried Fries and the way that your Milk Shakes.... Trust... This is not gonna be a one-night (hamburger) stand! Every time I think about you... About us... I smile! And the best part is, no more hiding! My wife knows about us now. Her only stipulation going forward... Is that the next time we see each other, that I bring her along and get her a burger & fries too. P.s. between us... She's the 3rd wheel, not you! :) Jokes aside... If you find yourself in mid-Malibu and want a Damn Good Smash burger and fries for a great price, come to Irv's at CrossCreek shopping center (in the Whole Foods lot) You will not regret it. ---No wives were hurt in the writing of this review---

Viki is incredible at customer service and is a great manager. Irv's is a welcome addition to Malibu and I frequent here at least once week. Very family focused and good energy all around and the burgers are bomb!

3.5 stars I'm probably in love with the fries more than anything, except you have to ask them not to salt them or it. You'll end up with an encrusted salt balm!! But they are so good. I love a gooey messy burger, this one does not disappoint. Not the fastest service, nor the prettiest place to eat, but probably the best fast food/take out Burger in a 10+ mile radius.

Food was Great!!! I got my orders super fast, great costumer service. loved being able to dine outside and have my kids play in the playground next to the sitting area.

Burgers are excellent and the service is exceptional. Jonathon is the man! Extra pickles, no problem! I'm trying the pastrami today. Killer patio and easy parking.

I love Irv's and this location specifically!! Right by the beach and with a great patio outside. Viki and her team are always so welcoming and accommodating. The food is always great, I go back and forth between a cheeseburger and tuna melt and neither ever disappoints. The shakes are delicious as well and i have to stop myself from getting one every time! Pro tip, try the chocolate chip cookies, you won't be sorry!! Shout out Irv's Malibu, see you soon!!

After having this delicious Burger and Fries I would come back. Employees are super nice and friendly parking can be kind of tight during busy hours. They have Outdoor seating only. There Santa Monica Blvd. location has been around Since 1946. Give them a try if you're in the Malibu Beach area.

Even though I've only had this place once, I still can't forget the taste of the burger. I keep saying to myself I need to go back for more when I get the chance. It was that good! Never tried meat that fresh and tasty.

I tasted the food and my eyes open for the first time after 20 years. I felt like the person it was the best burger I've ever had in my life. Gorgeous with string hanging from the ceiling a lot with obnoxious bows wants and service for ambiance

Burgers are great. Substantial buns, nicely seared patties. Great service. Ambience bad. Major dings due to the patio area. Its infested with flies. Zillions of flies everywhere. More flies than a horse barn. They have one little fly-catcher bag that is oversaturated with dead flies that I dont think they've changed once in 6 months. It hangs up high for all everyone to see. Its really unappetizing. Its impossible to eat without being constantly harassed by flies. I complained to IRV's about it and they said its up to the plaza owner.

Best Burgers and fries in So CA. I don't normally do food reviews but this hidden little gem is amazing! The service always seems great, they even know me by name. You'll be hooked!

I thought the food here is pretty solid. I ordered the turkey burger with fries and a drink. The turkey burger goes for $9.49. It's only sort of mid sized, but it was good and has some interesting things on it. For $6.50 you can add fries and a drink, and they give you a generous portion of fries. You order at a window in front of the place, and then wait for them to cook your food. The seating is outdoors only, which can be a problem if the weather is not nice.

I was pleased with the customer service I received here! I was unsure of what I wanted to order but Tina explained the menu clearly and I was able to decide what I wanted! I got the Roadside Combo and it was delicious! Thank you Tina for making me feel welcome and pointing me in the right direction! I'll be back for me!

We were very excited for her burgers to open in Malibu and not disappointed to enjoy two amazing burgers there. We sat outside on the patio, which was very nice and enjoyed our burgers and fries. Will definitely be back to have more more burgers very soon.

Horribke experience. Worker by the name of Gabriel was rude and was also mean to the other employees. I genuinely could not believe somebody like that was able to keep his job.

How do you even manage to burn a burger patty when all you do all day long is flipping burgers? Meat was thin, tasteless and bland. It was beyond well done and totally burnt on the sides. Pinkish-white, tasteless tomato inside tasted like paper. Worst burger experience ever. Is management ever present?

If you are up in Malibu make sure to stop at Irv's and get a burger & beer batter onion rings. The burgers are very tasty. I got grilled onions on mine. They have hotdogs and other sandwiches. You sit outside on the patio to eat. Walk up to the window & place your order. The milkshakes looked really good. The service was friendly. I ordered a coke & got diet. The girl gave me a regular coke. If you are in the mood for a good burger look no further.

Ordered food here while in Malibu. The burgers are good. They are a good alternative to the same shops we order from while I'm in Malibu working. Not a huge amount of food choices on the menu. Ordered Fries- ok they are huge portions and fresh. Lettuce wrapped burger- it had mushrooms and was cooked perfect. Overall good food and worth a visit if in the area.

What a nightmare. I stood outside the window to be ignored for 10 min before some chick working comes up and tells me oh sorry we don't serve breakfast anymore. Shocking considering it's advertised right in front of the window!!!! This place has been disappointing every time I come here, not once have I been able to successfully order after driving all the way here from Calabasas! Horrible and I do not recommend to my worst enemy
