Isaan Thai Restaurant

This is a long established Thai restaurant in Doha. Monday is curry night, so it was crowded with customers. There are several open kitchens and the interior is quite spacious, decorated with fruits and ornaments that give a Thai feel. All the staff were dressed in traditional Thai clothing which was lovely. The Gai Hor Bai Toey had juicy chicken that matched the sauce perfectly and the Pad Thai had plump shrimp. The gapow was so delicious that I had to have several refills of rice. By the way, you can have as much rice as you want. The portions per dish are small, so I'd be happy if the price was more reasonable.

I've dined at Thai restaurants all over the world, but Isaan truly stood out. The food was exceptional — every dish we tried was packed with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The ambience was calm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the outstanding service. Bose was the staff attending us and he was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Every dish Bose recommended turned out to be the best I've ever had. A truly unforgettable dining experience.

Service was really amazing. The atmosphere was lovely and good lighting. Food was also really good and the sizes was a concern originally from a different review. However these dishes are priced a little bit more affordable as they recommend 2 dishes each. Happy with our decision

Very good Thai food, we greatly enjoyed our dinner. As Asians we were quite satisfied with the taste of the dishes and the spice level. The deep fried sea bass and the pomelo salad were especially good. I would recommend to not get the already set menu but instead take the time choose in the à la carte menu.

Our Thursday evening dine-in ritual this week led us to Isaan Doha. Part of #ThaiWeekQatar, it was a welcome reminder of how comforting it feels to find Thai cuisine in the city that carries a sense of nostalgia to the table. Every dish had balance and depth, the kind that makes you pause and savor. Service was warm, the atmosphere generous, and everything felt true to its roots. Isaan is now part of the Michelin Guide Doha 2025 with a Bib Gourmand recognition, and it shows in the care behind each detail. From the open kitchens to the thoughtful presentation, it is not just a restaurant visit, it is an experience that lingers.

The service is exemplary of Thai hospitality. Hot rice is served on demand. However, the portions are dismal! I was shocked at the meagre amount the main course of Pad Thai was. I ordered a vegetarian meal! I am from Asia and the taste of the noodles isn’t authentic. Utter disappointment

For well-executed refined Thai dining, Issan (Michelin Bib) is the place to be. The Thai service staff were so friendly and helpful. While the portion could be a tad small, it was nonetheless delicious.
