Absolutely not! I just paid $37 for hard cardboard thin flavorless pizza burnt on the bottom and the worst part is they automatically add 15% gratuity! FOR WHAT?! I order at a counter, pay at the counter. nobody served me, checked on me, even the cokes are $3 cans and not refillable. Asked for a cup of water and they don’t even do that they will only sell you a bottle of water. AND your employees are making at least minimum wage so what the hell is this tip for?????? In 2024 the pizza was good like a Napoli pizza. Now their sign says wood fired and it’s actually neither, it’s the equivalent of those $3 disgusting cardboard frozen pizzas at Walmart. I am appalled by the entire experience. I don’t know if they changed owners, management, need to fire the pizza makers, or just went downhill but I am embarrassed that I ever recommended this place and I will NEVER be back and neither will my kid who is a FSU student. Google
So far my favorite pizza place in Tallahassee! Crust is super thin, the toppings and sauce is great, and I love the atmosphere! It doesn't take long either!

Google
Exceptional authentic Neapolitan pizza! “Soft and crunchy.” Fair price. Friendly staff and ambiance. Salsiccia e Ricotta was delicious. I’ll be back! A+++

Google
10/10! A fantastic place to eat delicious pizza. We'll definitely be back every time we visit Tallahassee.

Google
Pizza was decently flavorful, with a nice crisp crust that held up the toppings and a generous layer of cheese. They forgot the prosciutto and had to put some slices on top (I don’t know if it normally would have been baked with the pizza). Salad (greens, apple, blue cheese, pecans) also good, but they tried to charge me a dollar more than the menu price because they claimed menus hadn’t been updated. Service fine, food came out quickly. The white wine was warm because their wine fridge wasn’t working.

Google
Isabella’s is the best pizzeria in the northern part of Florida, and maybe the entire state. It is not a chain but the realization of the owner’s dream. They make their own dough and even their own mozzarella cheese. They have a wood fired oven imported from Italy. His connection with FSU is why Isabella’s ended up in Tallahassee. We are SO Lucky it did.

Google
The caprese pizza was fire. Kinda expensive and they have some pricing errors on Doordash. Tried to order a caprese salad and the price would double when I select half-size, tripled for full size. You need to remove the base price from your salads, it's being added to the half and full size selection. $22 for a half salad and $33 for full? Hope this helps.

Nate

Google
Pizza tastes burnt in general. Half the pizza’s crust was burnt. Ordered the wings extra well done and still had gelatinous fat and not crispy at all. Also, hot wing sauce tastes super oily. Highly recommend not coming here.

Yelp
Arguably the best pizza spot on a college campus/area in America. Fantastic job by the young team... surpassing expectations and going above and beyond with customer service. Buddy from Boston who recently moved down joined and noted this is really "fkn" good pizza.

Yelp
The good: Pizza was okay. The bad: Over-priced, the tip on the website when ordering for delivery doesn't go to the delivery person, which the website ordering makes it seem like it does. I called the restaurant and they said they couldn't correct it which I call BS as I ordered it through their website. My total pizza order which was only one pizza ended up costing me $85! They are crooks and scammers, but their pizza is not bad. They also didn't follow my instructions to put the jalapeños on BEFORE cooking the pizza. They used pickled jalapeños, which is typical but shouldn't be for a place purporting a more elevated pizza. I also asked for the pie to be cooked well-done and it was not even close. I have had better experiences from Dominos.

Yelp
I went to Isabella's on a Saturday afternoon with my friends. I ordered a small 10" Pollo Alfredo pizza. I was then approached by a member of the kitchen staff who told me they were out of small for Pollo Alfredo. Not entirely sure how that's an issue and how they can't just make one. He proceeded to have me pay an additional amount of money to get the traditional 13" size. This change of size was completely out of my control, and I should have been compensated for the mistake on their part. Terrible experience. The young woman working the register was very apologetic and felt bad, but it was completely out of her control as well.

Yelp
Visiting from out-of-town and saw this come up on Yelp. The location is good and parking was convenient. The pizza was quite good (great crust, though a bit floppy) and overall service and ambiance we also positive. Would recommend.

Yelp
Excellent well cooked pizza... fresh ingredients... friendly staff.... and love that the owner is present and passionate about his business!

Yelp
So I was in town and searching for a place to grab a bite. I found this place online with some good reviews and decided to stop over. I did a pick up order. Thankfully although I arrived before the time it was supposed to be ready I was able to get it. I ordered the pizza Margherita. I was disappointed in the presentation because I expected more mozzarella, basil, and olive oil on top. I was super hungry so I thought it was good however I shared with someone who felt it was salty. I don't know... maybe this was not the best pizza to grab although it showed as a popular choice. There wasn't much to take in besides the bright light of the restaurant name on a brick wall. I would have to give them another try if I ever go back to Tallahassee.

Yelp
Bit pricey but worth it I went with red sauce, base chicken, spinach, tomato ricotta has toppings, and two beers, of course best pizza in Tallahassee

Yelp
This is the best "take-out" pizza here in town. The owners are Italian with gourmet pizza a speciality from them. The Diavola is my absolute favorite. I add extra soppressata with onion, mushroom, and, or spinach. I rotate between the combination of toppings. The crust is thin. I fold my slices--that's how big they are. I ALWAYS have a Boylan or two to go. This soda is pure cane sugar . The last I need to try is their gelato,

Yelp
We traveled 2 1/2 hours from Alabama to Tallahassee. We found things to do downtown to add to our day. However, the main purpose of our trip was to visit this restaurant. The pizza was amazing. We went that far based on the recommendation of 2 of my Italian Army flight students at Fort Novosel (Rucker). They told us this is the most authentic Italian style pizza they had found within 3 hours of Fort Novosel. I fully agree with their assessment. The pizza was nearly identical to what we ate in Naples, Italy 6 years ago. We look forward to visiting again in the future. Maybe when we go back, it will be warmer so we can enjoy more of Tallahassee. BTW, for those that complain in reviews about the pizza crust being nearly paper thin, that is how it is in Italy. This restaurant Ames to create authentic Italian style pizza. If that is not what you are looking for, you need to find an American style pizza restaurant.

Yelp
Love this place. Wood fired pizza at its best. I didn't realize this place is a franchise. We also frequent a location in GA.

Yelp
The ONLY good restaurant in Tallahassee!! Their pizza is phenomenally authentic and delicious as if you were in Italy. Not only do they use fresh, good quality ingredients, their wood burning pizza oven makes it all taste explosively delicious. We ordered the Isabella salad, white 4 cheese pizza w basil, traditional pie, prosciutto and rucola, and the best for last Nutella pizza!!!! Wow!!! I can't stress it enough, you need to try this place. We've eaten at Isabella's 2 out of the 3 days since we arrived and will possibly make it back once more before going home. Thanks for bringing a great restaurant to Collegetown.

Yelp
Wow. Verrrrrry good pizza. Sausage and Ricotta was suggested and it did not disappoint.

Yelp
This gem in Stadium Centre has amazing food, awesome service, and a great beer selection. The gelato was very tasty also, the best pizza crust and brunch menu I've had!!

Yelp
Stayed at the Indigo hotel for a game and went across the street. Pleasantly surprised. Solid pizza if you like thin crust. We will be back for sure

Yelp
Good pizza in a college town, on some college street?.... No way.... .......Yes way! Great crust, service and atmosphere. I'll be back

daniel K.

Yelp
I ordered over the phone. I should've asked the price over the phone, because it was 18 dollars for a 1 topping, personal pizza with a side of ranch. Then they added auto gratuity, as well as turning the screen around to ask for a larger tip. Will not be going back. Good pizza, just overpriced for a college town.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite local pizza spot. The slices are thin and they are generous with the toppings. No matter which pizza you choose you really can't go wrong. I usually get the Americana and did today. I added spicy sopressata and peppers. This was a very good pizza pie. I would recommend this to anyone looking for good pizza in Tally.
google avatar

Yelp
The cheese on this pizza is to die for. The concept is hip and old school at the same time. The girls behind the counter were so sweet. We had the basic Napoleon Cheese Pizza and it was perfect!

Yelp
Sadly Isabella's is neglected and the service as vastly declined. We dined on dirty tables that revealed black residue with a. Dry napkin, three staff on a slow night who were not cleaning or paying attention. I had to help myself to the basil growing in the corner b/c my Caprese pizza was served without basil. My dining partner's (first visit) pizza was scored, not sliced. We waited about 30 mins for two Smalls pizzas. Back in the day, this would've taken 10 mins tops. Soda Fountain broken, no Italian sofas, no gelato (dirty display with residue, remove and clean the containers for goodness sake) contactless pay is behind the partition and the slot at the bottom scraped your hand while you awkwardly try to reach up to pay. Bring your own cleaning supplies and clean your table.

Jimmy B.

Yelp
BEWARE. A charge of 15% Automatic Gratuity is completed at the registrar when ordering your meal. If you add a tip it is an additional -- so 15% becomes 35% or more. Although food is GREAT but I hate a restaurant that is unethical in their practice. You don't know until the transaction has been completed.

Yelp
Was visiting Tallahassee for work, (love the city by the way). Yelp identified this place as the highest rated pizzeria, so I grabbed a Spin scooter and headed that way. When I was in college at UF, we had a 5 Star Pizza that delivered 24 hours and was $5 a pie. At that time in my life there was nothing more I could ask for, but we have moved on to bigger and better things. Not sure if the 5 Star in Tallahassee is affiliated, but based on their ratings, they might be. Back on task, Isabella's was empty on a Thursday at 8:00 pm. Not usually a good sign, but I put my faith in my fellow Yelper's and their reviews, to my surprise, especially Kara B. who always has reliable reviews back home in FTL. On Thursdays, they have buy one get one on their drafts. They let me split them up and try the Proof 850 and the Proof Mango Wit. Both were very good, but the 850 actually had a little more citrusy flavor and a higher ABV. Both served in a plastic, but were still ice cold. Now to the real test, the pies. I ordered the Salisiccia E Ricotta. So friggin good. Thin, with a slight char from the unique wood fired pizza oven that flash cooked my pizza at 900 degrees. I saw some reviews complaining about burnt pizza, but the accompanying pictures showed a perfectly cooked pizza. If a coal or wood fired pizza doesn't have a little char and a little crisp, it is not done right! As far as the selection, the ricotta cheese was a perfect accompaniment to the bold flavor of the Italian sausage. Really excellent. Many of the menu pictures on Yelp are old. They now offer 10", 13" (traditional size), and a 16". I ordered the 13" for just myself and it was too much to finish, even though I wanted to. I was hoping to try the gelato but apparently the flavors vary and the vanilla or pineapple/coconut didn't interest me so I passed. Next time I'm in Tally, I will be sure to repeat. PS - by the times I finished my meal the place was half full. Maybe I just got lucky with my timing. Truly nice service and delicious meal. I highly recommend Isabella's for an excellent pie and cold beers.

Scott B.

Yelp
We were on vacation and went in for a pizza. They had been closed all day for a deep clean. The owner turned on the oven and made us a pizza. His whole family was there and treated us like family. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I got the Isabella salad (half), fresh and delicious. A salsiccia e ricotta pizza, delicious blend of sausage and cheeses, it was thin and crispy and really tasty! Not oily at all. I got the 10 inch, 4 pieces, perfect portion for one. I also got the Nutella pizza (added strawberry), really good!! What's not to love. Overall enjoyed my dinner!!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are in town for a bit to take care of Family Matters for a few days. So far, its been going well :) We decided to come here for delicious pizza based on the reviews I read. Most of the reviews said great things about this place, so we thought we give it a shot. That being said, we were not let down. It is honestly, a cute & cozy small pizzeria located really close to FSU, on Gaines Street. They have outside and indoor seating. You cannot enter unless you have a mask on. There is cute sign that said, "Isabella's" but all lit up! I guess, I really get fascinated with lights even if they are not neon. They really do have genuine Neapolitan style pizzas :) My boyfriend and I ordered the [Capricciosa Pizza ($15)] which had: - Tomato Sauce - Basil - Mushrooms - Ham - Black Olives - Homemade Mozzarella - Extra Virgin Olive Oil Thoughts: Decent Size for its price. I honestly loved the homemade mozzarella, very cheesy. The crust was not burnt at all, so I was able to eat the wholeee pizza without leaving the crust :) ... Well of course I shared the pizza even though I did not want to share once I took a bite out of it! Overall, had a nice time there. When I do come back to Tally I would go there again. :) I would indeed. recommend my Yelpers who plan to go to Tally or live near Tally to stop by and have a pizza or two! Check out their Menu, the have salads besides pizza hehe https://www.isabellaspn.com/menus.html

Yelp
Grabbed a large pepperoni pie here the other night. It's a counter service restaurant but don't let that discourage you, they're great! Nice selection of beers, and a fun atmosphere if you want to dine in. The pizza is spectacular and comes out quick. Have to go back and try a few specialty pies.

Yelp
Folks I just had the WORST experience with a pizza place. I'd place an order for a margarita pie and was given a plain cheese pizza that looked like somebody had put holes in it with their fingers! I had also ordered a calzone on the side that was pepperoni mushroom, and all of the calzone was burnt on the bottom and mushy in the center- it wasn't edible. I called the store to speak with a manager and was promptly told: I watched my employe make your pie and it's right. I interjected: I'm sorry but no, I was given a cheese pie NOT a margarita and also not a fully cooked calzone- I'm very disappointed with my order. Manager; you should look online, that's how the pizza is made and THEN I was hung up on!! I was completely in shock! Like ... I'm not looking for a free meal just the meal that I ordered. I made the attempt to call back only for it to go straight to voicemail *which was full* and of course I couldn't leave a message. WOW WOW I'm just floored and speechless. I'll never go here again and would NOT recommend this tacky place.

Yelp
O Isabella's... What a pizza! I have eaten true Neapolitan, Florencian, Roman pizza during my time in Italy at some of their best pizzerias. And you guys measure up! From the homemade mozzarella, ricotta, and oil, to the perfect crust and oven, well done! The fermented crust really can't be beat by anywhere else in Tallahaseee! I have tried the 4 formaggio, vegetariano, margarita, and salsiccia e ricotta, plus the nutella pizza.... and I seriously can't decide which is the best! Margarita has always been one of the favorites for its simplicity and mix, but I have been equally impressed with the others. The nutella pizza perfectly rounds off a meal too with all its sweetness. Isabella's knows exactly what they're doing and turn out the best damn pizza I've had in Tallahassee and this side of the Atlantic.
google avatar

Daniel J.

Yelp
The pizza is truly excellent and the prices (for pizza, anyway) are reasonable. The only two cons are: The store is tiny, crowded, and incredibly loud. I wouldn't recommend dining inside if you actually hope to have a conversation without yelling. They have no fountain drinks, so you have to pay for individual cans/bottles of your beverage of choice (at a significant markup.) A single 12 oz can of coke will set you back around $1.75. It's not that big of a deal, it's just weird to pay a normal price for great pizza and a high price for basic drinks -- with no ice. Since they give you the drink when you order, what are the chances it's still going to be cold once the pizza is ready? Yeah, zero. :P

Yelp
Fresh ingredients, great friendly service, nice atmosphere and clean. Ordered pizza and the bruschetta antipasto.

Yelp
customer service was great, pizza tasted amazing, workers seemed like they were having fun with what they were doing, overall 5 stars

Yelp
I waited for ~30min for my order to ready, but worth it. Great pizzas, highly recommend!

Yelp
Pretty cool spot in College Town. Nice space. Good atmosphere. Saw they have a really good assortment of beers, bottles, and craft draft too. All good things. Otherwise, underwhelming given all the reviews, pictures, and price point. Just wasn't feeling it. Maybe it was the traffic or the hassle of finding metered parking or general awkwardness of the front of house, I don't know. Arugula salad was nice enough but the Rustica pizza wasn't special like we thought it'd be. Disappointing really, given the hype, that it came out under done, shy of basil, and with unappealing eggplant. Seemed par cooked and heated up after the toppings went on just to warm things up. Wasn't like you'd think it'd be coming out of that hot oven. ...after digging through some other reviews, I see this comes up with them. Probably should have ordered it "extra done" or "medium well" with an extra five seconds cook time, like another reviewer tipped. Definitely A-OK but whatever's special about them was lost on me.
google avatar

Melissa N.

Yelp
Pretty decent Pizza. Although, I was disappointed given the many great reviews. One of my co-workers told me that this is authentic Italian pizza. It might be so, but the flavors weren't all there. We had ordered the rustica: mozzarella, eggplant, zucchini, artichokes, and basil. The pizza really needed more sauce and more cheese. Plus, the eggplant was more like baba ganoush. What I really did enjoy was the arugula salad. However, I did like the interior. It's trendy, simple, and visually appealing. Overall, 3 stars.

Yelp
Best meal in Tally! I have been in town for a week desperately trying to find a good meal. I finally found it! I was trying to decide on what to have for dinner and ended up on pizza since I love leftover pizza. I looked at the top 2 Yelp reviews near me and settled on Isabella's because they had specialty pizzas where the other option was only build your own. Parking....there is only metered parking in the area. If you go in the garage behind the restaurant, you can pay for parking with a credit card. Street parking is only coin meters. I ordered the large Salsiccia e Riccota pizza with the Bradley's hot sausage. It was delicious! Great crust from their brick oven. Ingredients full of flavor. The large is probably 14 inches or so. They were 4 healthy slices which I cut into 8 slices. I ate half and took the rest back to my hotel. The rest of the menu looked pretty good. I plan on trying the Carciofi e Spinaci next time. Only downside, they won't do half/half pizzas. But you can add toppings. The atmosphere was a good vibe. Big tables for groups, or small tables for smaller parties. There were even a few tables outside. Helpful hint, checkin on Yelp for a 25% discount!!! They also have daily specials. If you crave pizza in Tallahassee, look no further. This is THE place!

Shannon S.

Yelp
Ask me how a brick oven pizza came out ice cold cheese wasn't even melted. Also a margarita pizza would have basil on it. People wouldn't talk to you look at you like you have 50 heads because you bring a child into the vicinities like they wasn't a child at one point God bless this generation service sucked wouldn't even talk to you wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Mark J.

Yelp
Best pizza I've had in Tally. Price was reasonable, and they have a great happy hour to further save the pocket book. Friendly service, and pizza's were made from scratch and brought out fast. Crust is thin, so there will be no issues eating a whole pie.

Jack C.

Yelp
Best pizza I've had in tallahassee thus far. I am from NY so my standards are way too high, but this was pretty good for Tallahassee. I've been more than once so if it was good enough to have more than once I recommend it. staff was also very kind and knowledgeable about pizza making
google avatar

Niti B.

Yelp
It was so bad. All of it. The pizza and the mozzarella sticks. We tried to warm it in the oven figuring that would help since it was delivered, but it was still terrible.
google avatar

Aimee S.

Yelp
Wow I have been eating out too much! But we took the whole family out for pizza. We killed it! This is my favorite pizza place now although a drive from where we live but so worth it! We had the flat bread for an appetizer and the herbs and butter made it amazing. We had cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and a ham and mushroom. We only had one piece left over. We are all stuffed and happy. Staff and owner were so friendly and great service, thank you for a wonderful dinner.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for authentic Italian pizza, this is the place!!! Their toppings are fresh and their dough is unlike any dough you'll find at a chain place. They also have gelato that is out of this world. We ordered the pizza with prosciutto, ricotta, and parmigiana. It highly exceeded our expectations. The interior is quaint and decorated with a modern rustic feel.
google avatar

Esther W.

Yelp
This is hands down the best pizza in Tallahassee. Even my BFF, who is from Naples, agree. We've been here many times, and tonight we had three different types of pizzas. They were all excellent. We also requested extra crispy on two of them. Whenever the mood for pizza strikes when we're in Tallahassee, only Isabella's can satisfy the craving. Delizioso! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the gelato and the mozzarella in the Caprese salad needs improvement. The gelato is quite tasteless and too icy. A higher quality gelato including the classics lemon and hazelnut would make a big difference in maintaining authenticity. The Mozzarella is not very tasty, and needs to be creamier. We also had an order of Chicken Wings, which were very moist and quite tasty.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Worth parking in a garage for if there's no street parking. They offer authentic Neapolitan cuisine and even import their flour from Italy. Their homemade ricotta is unreal. My favorite pizza is the Salsiccia e Ricotta with Bradley's hot sausage. Also the basic Margherita. Their crust is thin, wood-fired, and fermented, having a subtle tang like what you'd want in a mild sourdough loaf. It's not a crust that you toss to the side after you've eaten the toppings. Dip it in evoo! For salads, Andrea's is my favorite with strawberries, pecans, and red onions. The Isabella's salad isn't far off from that one. If you need a wine recommendation, the staff is knowledgeable and they put care into selecting which wines to offer. It's not the cheapest pizza in town, but you get what you pay for. I was excited when they introduced a lunch special with smaller pizzas.
google avatar

Niki W.

Yelp
This is the best pizza in the FSU-area of Tallahassee! The owners really did their research on true Napoletana style pizza! the vibe is cute, quaint. It's located perfectly in the college town area and to make things better, the owner Alvaro is such a warm, kind and welcoming person. Support this great local pizza joint!
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
So you walk in this place and wonder, how do they keep the doors open? My wife and I ordered a large pizza with everything. They bring it to the table piping hot. Man that was one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time. When I tell you it was better than a Chicago style pizza believe it. I would highly recommend this place. You won't regret it.
google avatar

Sean S.

Yelp
Fast and easy Woodfire pizza. Crust is good margarita Pizza all the way, somewhat small so order two pies. Diavola hits the spot too. Carry out or sit outside is probably the best option. They have beer too
google avatar

M C.

Yelp
Delicious!! Just had a great margarita pizza. Brick oven is awesome. Keep up the great quality! Sauce is super good.
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
Only good thing about this restaurant was the service. Pizza was terrible crust was so thin and weak it couldn't even hold up to the toppings and cheese. It was the greasiest pizza I have ever eaten. For them to call it New York style pizza is a joke. I have been and that wasn't it. Also who doesn't have soda fountains at a restaurant and only serves canned and bottled drinks like gatorade??? Then the employee brings us the pizza on a big paper plate and no plates for us??? I have had better pizza and little caesars!
google avatar

Ann Y.

Yelp
Isabella's is our favorite pizza in town. The crust flavor and sauce is what puts it over the edge of others. The ingredients are super fresh authentic flavors that bring us back to Italy over and over again. The homemade butter and ricotta are divine. They have the best bottle of primitivo that we must get each time we go but we have tried all of their house wines and all are lovely. Their salads are totally worth it. We recently started ordering them after getting one in a special Valentine's meal they offered this year. We are obsessed with Isabella's. They really do handmade correctly and it shows in their product. Just go!
