"No matter where you sit in this glass-clad space occupying two floors, a good view onto the lush Japanese garden is guaranteed. The Japanese chef team strives to recreate authentic Fukuoka flavours. The two set menus comprises of sashimi, hot dishes and dessert, with the niigata rice steamed in a rustic claypot with assorted seasonal ingredients being the highlight. Pre-order the itamae or chef's menu if you have a big appetite." - Michelin Inspector

Beautifully balanced between raw and cooked elements, every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. We enjoyed each bite. If we lived in Taiwan, we’d definitely come back every season to try the new menu updates.

Fantastic gem of a place in Taichung! The well thought out meal provided by the ISAGI team were not only beautiful but tasty as well. The servers were lovely and very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. The owner herself was absolutely welcoming and wonderful. She even gave us a private room because we were repeat customers. My parents and I enjoyed our meal here thoroughly. Will be back again and again!

We went in April when they were just opened their doors for a little over a month. Young chef is from Fukuoka and definitely selects good quality ingredients and plates his food aesthetically. Only set menus are available at the moment (for lunch and dinner) but heard that they have other plans for the future (perhaps breakfast or brunch?) Most dishes were good but perhaps our expectations were too high, we did not feel the “wow”. Service has quite a lot of room for improvement but we can tell that they are making an effort. The building and the atmosphere is tranquil and sort of retro, they kept the old mango and maple tree and did a great job on the the rest of the gardening.

Excellent Japanese luxury restaurant with a low profile ambience. Set menu of two price tier based on seasonal ingredients. Bar seats available at the first floor, and private dining tables upstairs. Very nice design and decorations, loved the wood smell immediately walked in the restaurant. Outstanding food presentation and taste. Very well trained service team too, worth alone a five star review. Looking forward for next visit!

A very expensive Japanese restaurant, starting at a minimum of 2500 NTD per person. However with the quality of food and service served, I’m very glad to say it’s extremely professional and a great choice of restaurant to visit. The dishes they serve are very breathtaking and unexpected for instance the main course of A5 beef.

Set menu @ TWD2,500... and it was well worth it! Perfect combination of great ingredients, excellent dining experience, impeccable service, and tasteful interior design. We were wowed the moment we stepped into the front gate... highly recommended!

Authentic Japanese omakase in a beautiful building at a corner plot with manicured garden surrounding. Sitting on the second floor, the window is wrapped by greens and subtlety lit. The food is superb and each dish is delicious and prepared with heart and creativity. Just take a simple miso soup, chef Yamano prepared with diced and stir fried egg plant to freshen and spice up the flavor, giving it a distinct taste that is uniquely Fukuoka. Highly recommend for foodies

🔍𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗢𝘂 This not the Japanese restaurant we familiar with. Combining Italian-French cooking techniques, using ingredients from Japan and Taiwanese local ingredients, presenting a delicate and delicious cuisine! 🍴 𝚂𝚎𝚝 𝙼𝚎𝚗𝚞 $𝟹,𝟻00
