I can’t speak more highly about this place than the pictures I posted. The location, the adventure, the people, the traditions, culture and history is unlike anything I have experienced. The hotel was so well designed and cozy. It was incredible to think they could build such sturdy hotel in the middle of nowhere. I enjoyed my time here so much and made memories that I will always remember. We also tried the sauna and ran in the cold ocean and polar plunged. I highly recommend. The burst of endorphins and energy is amazing. Thank you guys so much for the most wonderful experience of my life ❤️ I will always remember you and Isfjord Radio. I also live by the motto of “come with no expectations if you want to be amazed”! We were very amazed!

Stayed 2 nights and it was organised by Basecamp explorer. We arrived via snowmobile. |It is an incredible place with a historical significance as at one point in time, it was the communication hub for Svalvard. Evrything came there first and delivered accordingly. It is now managed by a wonderful couple and the Head chef is very creative. Everything was delicious and it was an unforgettable experience. I had a dip in the artic waters and enjoyed a sauna overlooking the sea afterwards. Fantastic!

what a special place. It’s cozy luxury at the edge of the world & I could not have felt more pampered after 3 days of snowmobiling in the wilderness. Didn’t even mind the communal shower area, as the amenities were still lovely. I loved our multi course dinners and the chef is so creative and committed to exploring the natural bounty of Svalbard. Wine pairings excellent. Every single staff member was welcoming and warm. This is one of the most unique and wonderful experiences I’ve had in my life. Thank you so much for having us.

Quality hotel in unbelievable location. Guides and staff incredibly helpful. Do not put salt water on the sauna, but do jump in the see, head under is mandatory. Its a bit far north for the northern lights, but we saw some. Don't expect a polar bear, but look our for tracks. If you see one, its a bonus.

Great experience! Fantastic adventure trip in a remote and untouched location. Hotel is very cozy and staff welcoming. Dinner was fine but not spectacular. The hiking tour is a must to fully immerse into the experience.

If Longyearben isn't quite far enough away from everything for you, try this place a further hour's boat ride away in the summer, or 3 hours snowmobiling in the winter. The conversion from working radio station to completely unique hotel has been imaginatively and sensitively done, with much of the original technology retained for it's genuinely curious aesthetic. The accommodation is fairly basic, with shared bathrooms, but comfortable sitting rooms. The standout, however, is the food. In a high end city restaurant this would have been impressive, but out here it was something else. The cooking and presentation were beautiful. |Would definitely recommend booking activities for your stay - wandering around the grounds without a rifle-bearing member of staff is not an option...
