Most depressing Bento box ever, 2 pieces of "sushi" legit rice wrapped around cucumber. And terikaye chicken, which has a packet sauce on it, with a salad that is legit 3 prices of lettuce and a slice of orange. And some pickled plastic Avoid that place, most inauthentic Japanese I've ever had

Beautifully prepared dishes including the best tempura we have ever encountered and a very generous sashimi platter. A warm and relaxing atmosphere with courteous and attentive service. House white worth a second bottle. Highly recommended.

Best Japanese around midland eaten I love it - the owner is friendly and always around to assist with and requests. They even offer a western or Japanese style to each dish explaining the difference if you don't like to venture to far out of comfort. All the dishes I have gotten have been great and the atmosphere is relaxed 😌

The restaurant is nicely spaced and cleaned. Service was good and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The food was OK but for the price and food portion, I would expect more. We ordered a large sashimi (12 pieces), tempura udon, unagi don and an agedashi tofu, it was close to $100. I know business is doing it tough considering the price hype now in 2023. But I would urge the restaurant to consider the balance between price, portion and taste.

Delicious Japanese food, only reason it didn't get 5 stars is the serving size. If they were alittle bigger would be 6 out of 5 stars. Definitely worth a visit if you want authentic Japanese food.

great restaurant serving the standard japanese fare with an assortment of sushi and drinks pretty reasonably priced, although slightly on the pricier end. food was good but nothing too mindblowing. would recommend the pork nimono (slow cooked pork belly) overall definitely a reliable choice for japanese food !!

There’s some heavy competition for Japanese restaurants in midland and this one confused me a bit. It looked like a higher end Japanese restaurant but didn’t present the goods. The meal was “ok”, it didn’t wow me and give us the vibe of a 5 star. Meals were slightly on the expensive side which made me think maybe portion sizes were to match, didn’t meet that criteria too. Still recommend you to give them a go. Conveniently located next to Midland Gate so lots of parking available.

My husband and I went for dinner tonight, we enjoyed every single dish that we had. The food is epic. We had a bento box, octopus balls, mixed sashimi, dumplings and a sushi roll. Every single dish was amazing,. Our waitress was very attentive and was very friendly. The restaurant itself was set up well, it was comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxed. Thank you for an amazing date night meal. I highly recommend if you enjoy Japanese food, try this place.

Oh hello my old friend!! I tend to pass this one by because when I'm in Midland it's to get groceries done and not stop to have a proper meal. To eat here and really enjoy the experience you can't be offended by the price. It is set out in a very typical Japanese restaurant style, precise, clinical and Zen. It is not a food court bento. Every piece of food in the box is absolutely fresh and booms flavour. Anytime we have eaten here we fall in love with Japanese food again. The menu is not overloaded with options but has a great selection of light or larger meals. Dessert is divine! Try the green tea pannacotta. Made on site not bought in and yummy!! The staff have never knocked my socks off. But they are attentive enough. If you are in Midland and you are looking for Japanese, put this one on top of the list!!

Oh my Goodness heaven on plates & bowls. There are no photos the food was too good to wait. Great service excellent ambiance considering moving in. Homemade sauces light delicate flavours it's like being in Japan. Well done so glad we finally got here.

This s the second time here for lunch, and the food has not disappointed at all. We had two different Bentos, and the fish don. It was all tasty, fresh, and light without the thick batter, or the dark batter due to using very old oil for deep frying. Everything was a light golden. Service was pleasant and attentive. I think I could have asked for wasabi, ginger, sauce etc, but did not want to trouble the waitress. If the condiments was set on the table, it would have been great! Napkins were such good quality. The Bentos were slightly pricey, and some dishes were also slightly pricey, but we know in Perth, expect to pay 25% more than in Melbourne! As the food was very fresh, I was happy to pay the price. Clean and tidy decor.

Good for a quiet chill date with the partner. Food is decent, traditional japanese menu items. Flavor is good but what I love here is their wide selection of sake and they can explain to you each one of them.

Really authentic japanese food. All the fish in the mixed sashimi bento I ordered were 100% fresh. Excellent service from the staff as well. Will certainly be going back whenever we are at the Midland area.

I hadn't tried this restaurant until around 6 months ago and have now lost count of how many times I have returned. Food is outstanding I am never disappointed, fast service, and I leave the restaurant satisfied EVERY time. Would definitely recommend!
