While Ishikiya serves a range of dishes you would expect to find on a Japanese menu, the restaurant has innovative and seasonal specials, which means there is always something new to try. The last time I went I had a delightful and fresh tofu and avocado salad, perfectly crisp and seasoned to perfection. What I look forward to the most every time I go is the cheesecake. Yes, Ishikiya is a Japanese restaurant. Is cheesecake something you would expect from a Japanese restaurant? Probably not.
