Fish from Ishinomaki region, lovely micro flowers, all 5 methods of jap cooking employed for set meals. This guys are the real deal and the value is more that justifiable. I visited this restaurant for the first time after seeing some Instagram posts, and overall, the food was great, though a bit pricey, likely due to rental and air freight charges. Four of us spent over $780 on our dinner, including a bottle of sake that cost around $140. I loved the nodoguro (black throat sea perch), which was prepared as torched sashimi and sushi. The fish was quite fatty, but the char treatment made it perfect for sushi. The tempura zucchini was a standout, especially when dipped in salt. The botan prawn was delicious, with the prawn head used for frying or making soup. The teppanyaki assorted mushrooms were yummy, and the asparagus was perfectly cooked. The pork collar with yuzu sauce was a bit overcooked in my opinion. The sake was decent, and the salmon maki was great too. The seasonal hairy crab claypot rice was appetizing and a delightful end to our meal.

I had a fantastic experience at Ishinomaki Grill & Sake, thanks to the exceptional staffs (Max, teppanyaki chef, and many others which I did not manage to get their names). Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they provided excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes. Service was also prompt and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy outstanding Japanese cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

Exciting restaurant for adventurous Japanese cuisine lovers with no seafood allergy. We took the 10pax private dining room, spacious and private and spent approx 1k for an awesome dining experience for 9 adults with 3 bottles of sake and dessert. We had sashimi, awesome pork belly and grilled iberico pork. That’s a must have. We had chicken meat balls on a stick and those were delicious. The menu items were generally exquisite and there were seasonal options. It’s definitely an experience, and I heard the lunch set menu is v worth it.

Great place for business meetings over a meal. Good selection of sake and their staff are able to recommend good options available. Seafood is fresh and they do bring in seasonal items like shirako and firefly squid. Grilled tuna head is so tender the layers melts in your mouth. Love their thick cuts of ankimo. Can't go wrong with their sashimi platter and beef cuts.

Came here for a private event and enjoyed the food. The served quite quality food. Service staff were friendly too. Sashimi were fresh. Only the chicken is not nice as tasted like frozen chicken.

Third time here & the food never ever disappoints 😊 Love their fresh sashimi & grilled skewer items. They have seasonal items as well so do check them out. Most of their items took a flight from Japan, so of course it'll taste & cost expectional too 😉

Everything was really yummy except for the unagi - it has some weird taste, not sure if it’s not fresh or just way the sauce taste like. Love the chicken skin and special shout out to the tsukune meat balls. It has some crunchy bits which is the soft bones. Really interesting texture and smart to incorporate with the softness of the meat. Would recommend but a little on the higher end - great for date night.

Might be a good place chill and dine with friends here... they do have a very good service attitudes, and friendly smile. When come to the food quality, I think soso only.

A hidden gem. High quality Japanese food at Orchard Road. I took the family here for a Saturday dinner and we really enjoyed the premium assorted sashimi, the grilled salmon belly (sake harasu), and a variety of yakitori skewers (tsukune, butabara, satsumaage). All delicious. We'll be coming back!

下に日本語解説いれてます。 There are so many Japanese Restaurants in town, difficult to see which ones are originals. Well, I was quite surprised to find this one to be a true one, and quite reasonable considering the quality. Definitely going there again. One thing is they tend to bring things together. 前から気になっていたのですが、試しに入ったら驚きました。枝豆、ハラス、揚げ出し豆腐、マグロ納豆、ツクネ、どれもなかなかのお味でイケてます。刺身もアリです。炉端焼きは恐らくガスかとは思いますが、ハラスの火加減は絶妙でした。量もそれなりにあります。一級店の繊細な日本料理とはいきませんが、値段を考えると十分ではないでしょうか。行った日はスタッフは外国人だけでしたが、相当鍛えたんでしょうね。お酒は飲んでないので値段は未確認ですが、がっつり食べて1人45SGDぐらいでした。周囲の高いばかりのお店に比べれば、とてもコスパがいいかと思います。唯一、沢山頼むと一気に順不同で出てくるので、ポツポツ頼んだ方が良さそうです。次のお気に入りが見つかるまでしばらくここの常連になりそうです。2015/11

Be careful this place will rip you off. The tuna sashimi I had was priced at $70 this was not revealed before I ordered, beware of the iPad menu. The food is not that good and I believe there is better Japanese in the area. Avoid if possible.
