The Best Burgers in Palm Beach County | Eater Miami

"Isla & Co, in the trendy warehouse district of West Palm, has a couple of burgers from which to choose. The only difference between the OG burger and the Cheeseburger is the addition of bacon to the OG. Both come with a double helping of cheese, which no one is complaining about." - J. Miller

We celebrated my friend’s birthday here. 🎉 I really appreciated that there are plenty of large tables — perfect for big groups to sit comfortably and enjoy the evening. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was kind and welcoming. They even serve some unique Australian dishes — unexpected and so tasty! And the coffee… unbelievably good! ☕️ The place itself is beautiful, and the photos we took turned out amazing. 📸 I truly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back!

Nate is a fantastic server. There was a woman helping him. She brought my coffee and she was really friendly and wonderful also. I had the pulled pork poached eggs.. can’t remember what it’s called. I came here originally because I wanted eggs Benedict and the menu no longer has it. I was really disappointed, but this is literally a Benedict on a piece of toast with pulled pork so it definitely hit the spot. It was delicious and I am stuffed. The atmosphere is trendy and friendly. There’s fake plants throughout. It’s got a lot of feng shui and is aesthetically pleasing. I would recommend this restaurant and would come here again. It’s in a cool little shopping area. Don’t let the front of the building scare you off because it doesn’t say its name it says something else.

I've had this place on my list for a while now and I was excited when I finally got a chance check it out. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn't busy. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space and it has a bright and airy vibe to it. Here's what I tried: Strawberry cheesecake waffles - 8.0/10 This hit the spot but but were a little too sweet for my liking. I usually have a sweet tooth but I found that it was a bit too much after just a few bites. I would recommend splitting it because the portion was generous. Power Bowl - 9.5/10 This was very fresh and full of flavor. I added the grilled chicken breast to it as well. I just wish that the serving was a bit bigger, especially for a $25+ bowl. Mimosa - 10/10 Delicious and strong! ;) Overall, I enjoyed my experience and I would return for brunch on the weekend since it seems like a nice spot to unwind.

Alright look, there is SO much potential to Isla — it’s an Aussie menu spot, cute menu with great offerings and food is pretty good (lower your expectations on the truffle fries though), they have a unique offering of an espresso martini flight and some traditionally Australian foods. That’s it, holy cow, it’s incredibly frustrating that every time (different times of the day and different days of the week) I have been here the service is lacking primarily because they’re consistently understaffed with the same people running back behind the bar, serving, monitoring hostess stand, bussing, making coffee and drinks, and it’s the most inefficient split of staff. Several times now on different occasions I have seen people turn away from the hostess and because they were waiting for too long to be seen. I was halfway through my food by the time our first order of drinks was delivered, two mimosas that I had to follow up on two times, and this was before they even got super busy for breakfast on Sunday. C’mon Isla, this is a trend — please do better so we can enjoy the experience AND the menu. Will happily update my review after trying another time with turned around service.

If you want to die and be brought back to life with delicious food and decidant drinks this is the perfect place. It's rare to find a place that hand cleans their oysters. Meegan has been a very great server as well. Great ambiance and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The olive temptation is a highlight of highlights for your drink options, thank me later. The hummus plate is one of the best hummus' I've had in Palm Beach and the brunch menu goes until 4pm. Dinner menu starts at 5pm but they're still willing to make you anything from the menu except the green curry dish. Hands down a hidden gem.

Google
Fun restaurant. It was loud (it echoes.) Hard to have a conversation. We had kangaroo, Avocado Toast, Breakfast Roll and something else. All was delicious. Some dishes were a bit too expensive. Was disappointed that they don't serve decaf coffee. Service was good.

Google
Delicious and fast service! We sat outside and enjoyed our brief lunch/brunch! I ordered the avocado toast and my friend ordered the burrito. Everything was super fresh and quick! trryyy the espresso martinis, SO GOOD! Pictured below the one with the little dots is the Olive Oil martini and the one with the shavings is the Coco delight

Google
We really enjoyed our time here. We live about 90 minutes away and came because of their rating. We sat at the bar with George and Cameron and had a good ol time. Cocktails and vibes were amazing. Chicken parm and steak frites were on point! Brunch menu looks good, we got to come back. Hope George and Cameron win at the Casino on Sunday! 😅

Yelp
A very modern and casual restaurant with some interesting food choice and the absolute cutest menus I've ever seen that add so much more personality to the restaurant. I initially came here to try the kangaroo but decided against it at the time. I will be back though! All waiters were excellent, friendly, knowledgeable. Bathrooms were clean. Everything tasted freshly made and reasonably priced for the portions.

Yelp
HIDDEN GEM ALART. Wonderful little restaurant in the back of Grandview public market with an immaculate ambiance. Was a little hesitant to go to an Australian restaurant because what does that even entail? BUT it was delicious. Cannot and will not eat a cutie little kangaroo but they have a ton of other great menu items. Their Aussie Chicken Parma is from the gods. End of story. Perfectly crusted chicken with a heavenly red sauce was everything I needed and more. The crispy chicken sando and Spicy shrimp vodka rigatoni are also big winners, but the rigatoni was a little too spicy for my pallet. To conclude - VERY good. I need to try their brunch and they have an espresso tini flight I didn't get my hands on yet, so I WILL BE BACK.

Yelp
The best french fries I have ever had! I highly recommend the burger with truffle/parmessan fries.

Yelp
Visiting from out of state and decided to check out Isla for Sunday brunch. No regrets! The food was so good and the vibe was perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Loved the patio seating area. I chose the power bowl with chicken added and it was perfection. Came with a yummy slightly spicy sauce and the entree was very filling. Paired it with an almond milk vanilla latte. We also shared the cauliflower starter and that may have been my favorite of the day. All around excellent service, super cute atmosphere, and really tasty food. A++++

Yelp
What a great find. Off the beaten path, part of a food hall. Isla was great. Service was great, ambience was great.

Yelp
There are quite a few food vendors to enjoy at the Grandview Market in the industrial section of downtown West Palm Beach. But I always return to Isla & Co., which offers really tasty breakfast sandwiches and burgers with gluten-free bun options. Their cocktails and cold-brew coffee are wonderful. Usually, I go there when I have a scheduled haircut nearby to grab a breakfast sandwich or a burger. But they have various items available depending on the time of day. I like grabbing a seat at the bar, where the bartender usually gets my order quickly. The kitchen service is really fast and efficient, creating tasty dishes that won't disappoint.
google avatar

Yelp
Located in a lively food plaza reminiscent of Wynwood, Isla & Co is an ideal brunch spot with valet service. I tried the Olive Temptation espresso martini paired with a hearty breakfast sandwich featuring bacon, eggs, hash brown, and avocado, plus a side of fries. The sausage rolls were delicious, and even the kids' mac and cheese impressed! While the food took a bit longer to arrive, it was worth the wait. I'll be back for the espresso martini flight!

Yelp
Amazing place! Food was all top notch, we had the octopus, the fish and chips and the chicken parm. I was impressed w all of them. Especially the chicken parm! Service is also outstanding. Great staff super friendly and helpful. And ambiance is nice! Cool little spot with nice set up, cool vibe.

Yelp
I had lunch here and felt like I was on an episode of punked after reading such great reviews before dining. The staff off duty were at the bar yelling, slamming their hands down on the bar next to my plate as I ate. All of the staff was taking shots meanwhile people were lined at the door waiting to be seated for their reservations. The working waitresses were clearly overwhelmed but nice. I assume the dish washer was broken because they had to stack up dirty glasses on the bar. The burger was fine but took about 40 minutes to get.
google avatar

Madison S.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, the staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is great. The cocktails were really good as well! I was bummed about the food overall, nothing of the dishes we ordered stood out and wowed us. The halloumi was mediocre and the fish and chips were way too battered. I'd definitely come back to hang at the bar and have a drink, but not certain I'd return for the food.

Yelp
Stopped here just by chance. Grabbed some coffee and beers was amazing. It was happy so drinks were $5 great deal! Service was amazing all the staff were super nice and helpful especially since it's Labor Day weekend. Ambiance was great too, very cozy and green. Overall would come here again when I'm in West Palm 10/10

Yelp
George, our server was great. The place seemed very clean. Coffee and cocktails are the stars here. It was a little difficult to find as it's hidden in the back of Grandview Mkt. On our visit, they had two front of house employees working as servers and busers, and they were doing a great job. It seemed popular with locals as most everyone seemed to know each other. Our food was a little heavy on the garlic and spicy side.

Yelp
A bit off the beaten path, but such a great find. Located in the warehouse area in downtown WPB about 1 mile south of Kravis Center just west of the railroad tracks. Very spacious. Our server was Cameron and he was great. He also answered the phone when I called to make sure we were heading in the right direction. We started with the espresso martini flight and it was fantastic! Such unique combination of flavors in each drink. I highly recommend going outside your comfort zone and giving it a try. The avocado mash was perfect. Very nice size and bright flavors. You can never go wrong with a nice order of Brussel sprouts and this didn't disappoint. We also ordered the summer fling salad with shrimp (not pictured) but it was great also. Something I look for in a great restaurant is when the flavor of the foods is more important than the sauces and that's the case with this little hidden gem.

Yelp
This review is based off of the atmosphere only. I was walking into the restaurant this morning and they were playing some kind of rap music with vulgar language. It was very loud. I thought that was only going be on the outside of the restaurant as we walked in the same music was playing very loud. Lots of curse words I was excited to try this place, but couldn't even sit down because the music was so loud and so vulgar. It was quite the turn off before even getting into the restaurant to try their food.

Yelp
Avocado toast was excellent, cold. As long as my daughter is happy I'm happy and she liked the martini flight, especially the creamy one with olive oil.

Yelp
McKenna is literally the sweetest Food: We were recommended the Brussels sprouts and honestly sooo soo good. We also had fries and McKenna described it as the "Gucci version of mcdonalds" and honestly i see it. The garlic aoili sauce, so good. Service: The vibe was there. Music was good. Mckenna and this other guy (‍ i forgot his name) was so nice. They were so talkative and willing to help. Drinks: My friend had a martini expresso and she loved it. I had this loveshaw shack and it was good, if you like spicy drinks. We also had 2 pickleback shots, soo good. Affordable or nah? It was actually not affordable in my opinion but it was okay.
google avatar

Yelp
Such incredible flavors and the sauces are unique and tasty, wish they sold the wing sauce so I could attempt at home! Went with my sisters and started our meal with drinks and wings. The only sad part was my sister ordered a mimosa but it never arrived, but we honestly didn't realize because we were enjoying our food so much. The waiter was very kind and offered to make up for the missed drink, but we were fat and happy after our meals. The wings were perfectly crispy and the home made ranch/dill sauce was robust with flavor. Would highly recommend, very cute ambiance and simple but elegant settings.
google avatar

Knee Knee E.

Yelp
I enjoy everything here. The wings are amazing, fish and chips and burger are also great. Brekkie sandwich is so good too! The ambience is lovely and spacious. Kind service from employees as well.

Yelp
I absolutely love this restaurant it is so chic and It is Australian. The food was amazing. The drinks were absolutely delicious and unique. There is indoor or outdoor seating. This place is perfect for groups, dates, happy hour, or dinner. I came with a large group of friends for a Galantines Day event and the server did an amazing job getting the orders, drinks and food timely! I definitely recommend visiting! Try the smoke show drink and the grain bowl; delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
We decided to give Isla and Co a try today and it didn't disappoint. A little confusing to find it at first since it's tucked in the back end of grand view market. We tried the kangaroo skewers and the pigs in a blanket to start with. The favorite was definitely the kangaroo, my husband loved them. For drinks we tried their mimosa and the Aussie coffee (espresso and icecream) yummm! And for entrees we tried the fish and chips and the morning after burger if choosing between these two go with the burger it's outstanding. We will definitely visit again. Kudos to our server Cameron he had 6+ tables and was rocking it. There was definitely great teamwork as the ladies working the bar were helping him out too.

Yelp
Stopped in for an Espresso martini to kick start the short vacation and it is fantastic! Visiting from Idaho and I am really sad I can't get these in Boise. Silky, sweet and buttery, the Olive Temptation is a stemmed glass of Aussie heaven. My daughter had the Coco Devine, and it certainly is. All that! And the design work, straight out of the Gil Elvgren school of art, are as eye-catching as the martinis are delicious. Will definitely be coming back before I head back out west. Don't miss the chance to experience these one-of-a-kind martinis!
google avatar

Yelp
Espresso martini flight was amazing ! Avocado toast with poached egg was fantastic. Chris our server / bar tender was awesome ! Def will go again next time we're in town!
google avatar

Brenda P.

Yelp
I found this place last minute and glad the reviews were accurate! The decor was bright and fresh with so many plants on the walls. Very clean and cozy spot. Cameron was our server and we received the best service ever. We were in sort of a rush since a few of us in the group had to catch a flight. They rushed out a few appetizers just for us and everything tasted amazing. The hummus had to be my favorite. It's served with bread and veggies also. I tried their espresso martini and it was incredible. Not too sweet and just enough espresso flavor. This is a great spot to stop in for a drink and quick bite if you're heading out on a flight or even if you're in this area. Parking is valet but there is also street parking available.

Yelp
Instagram brought me here. I happened to read something about a new restaurant serving up Australian food while I was scrolling and made me do a double take. I had no idea what Australian food would entail but I was hoping for some unique dishes, and lo and behold, they have kangaroo on the menu. I was sold. Came for brunch with friends and enjoyed a couple cocktails while we talked for hourS. The waitress was also bartending and she was nice enough to just give us space as we were clearly taking our time deciding on food, and when the food came, took our time with our meals. No one pressured us to leave and the waitstaff were all friendly. I had the mezcal cocktail which was very smoky as expected but balanced well with passion fruit juice. There was some stringy red garnish on top that looked nice, but I kept getting a mouthful of it when I took a sip and it became a nuisance. For food: we shared the kangaroo tucker because we were all curious to know what kangaroo meat would be like. It came on a skewer with some cucumber side. It reminded me of lamb meat as there is a similar gamey aftertaste. What I really loved was my chicken sandy. It tasted just as good as it looked in photos! Probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever eaten and I eat plenty of chicken. The pesto and broccoli combo was unmatched on a thick slice of crunchy bread. So hefty that I only ate half and took the rest to go. Aside from the kangaroo, the menu looks like pretty standard American fare but worth stopping by and trying Isla & Co out. Hope it is here to stay at Grandview.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience here. The staff all around was great. We were met by someone who was working the back and we didn't get her name but she was a sweetheart. Cam was our server and he was great I ordered the spicy shrimp (prawns) and he had them adjust it because I do not like super spicy. It was perfect and he came back to make sure it was to my liking. My friend ordered it the normal spicy way and she loved it too. Another friends ordered the lamb shoulder and it was very good too. My hubby ordered the hamburger and he enjoyed it also. My only complaint is that the food could be served warmer; nothing was hot. Considering the place was not busy this is a no brainer. Music playing was a bit loud but we didn't mind and the selection was great. All in all I would return.... the service was really that good!
google avatar

Katherine M.

Yelp
Place is super cute and the breakfast was delicious. I got the mushroom toast and it was excellent. My only thing is that the service is soooo slow. I ordered a cappuccino with whole milk and had zero foam. When I told the bartender she was rude and dismissive. I had to wait 30+ minutes for another order of cappuccino and even then it was just blah. I liked the place but a good coffee is a must.

Nicole B.

Yelp
As an Aussie who was looking for a local spot now that i live in wpb, I wanted to love this place but I can't recommend it. Came with some friends visiting from Australia for brunch. I ordered the breakie sandwich and it was missing half its toppings just an egg and bacon inside a sad flat roll. My mum ordered the big breakie and again was pretty bland, the hash browns look like the kind you reheat from the freezer at home and it arrived lukewarm. Servers were really nice and friendly during what was a busy morning!
google avatar

Jay W.

Yelp
Unique menu and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Service was great and we sat inside. Ambiance was cool and comfortable. Only 4 stars because they allow dogs. And one dog did his business on the floor. Dog owner cleaned it up but still had a wafting of puppy poo in the air which isn't cool when eating expensive meals.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night- it was not really busy but our server was quick and gave us a bunch of great suggestions. We love the vibe of the place and how quiet it was. It was filled with greenery and a very nice place to grab dinner. We started with the espresso martini flight- they were so delicious and then had the Sausage Roll which was very good as well. I had the Morning After Burger with an egg on top which was phenomenal! We also had the Spicy Prawns and Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce. It wasn't too spicy but it was filling all the same. They brought us a slice of Cake for our anniversary and that was extremely tasty as well! Definitely want to try their brunch foods next time!!
google avatar

Yelp
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would!! My cousin in law randomly sent me an espresso martini flight from Isla & Co on Instagram and when googling I saw there was a location in West Palm, I told her we had to visit! Located in the warehouse district or West Palm inside a cute little marketplace was Isla & Co, the cutest cozy spot. I was excited to try their espresso martini flight and I can say it did not disappoint at all! Three well proportioned sizes and three different alcohols: whiskey, rum and tequila and the best part of it was the price! We also couldn't go without grabbing a bite we had the spicy prawn rigatoni (fun fact this place is Australia cuisine and they call shrimp prawns) and the octopus. Both were full of flavor. Our waitress was amazing and had the best recommendations as well. I will definitely be back to visit Isla & Co
google avatar

Kyla S.

Yelp
Great little vibe. Food was delicious. Best espresso martini I've EVER had! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This was a wonderful lunch experience here today. Unlike other places in the venue, this is not a kiosk, but a separate restaurant with full seating inside plus the patio area. Add a full bar and a happy hour feature and it's a winner. They've only been open for about a month. So they're still getting known. Although they're touted as "Australian" there's not that much on the menu that would let you know that -- besides the weird sense of humor in the added menu comments! Do read the small print for a laugh. And admire the very cute koala bears on the bar -- each serving as a holder for straws. Since we came mid day, on a Sunday, they were offering their brunch menu, and their "all day" menu. They also have a few meals that are only available after 5 pm. My husband tried a house Bloody Mary. I enjoyed a sip and stole his olives! He ordered their mushroom toast which he declared was delicious. The mushrooms were in a creamy cheesy sauce with a poached egg and fresh dill -- all over sourdough bread. He ate every single crumb! (That's a sign that he loved it!). And he said he would order this again, next time we came. I was more in the lunch mood, so I ordered their "chicken Sandy". The sandwich, too, was very good. A very generous portion of grilled white meat chicken, cut in pieces, along with broccoli (!), pesto, and cheese on sour dough bread. I had fries as my side, but you could also choose salad as an option. There were a lot of thin and crispy fries. A most generous portion -- cooked well done, as requested. I wound up taking half my lunch home -- even after sharing some of the fries. Service was very good and attentive. We were checked on often. We even met the manager, Josh, who came over to make sure all was okay. We told him we'd be sure to tell all our friends about our delicious experience. I hope they do well here. I want to come back and try a lot more things on their menu.
google avatar

Yelp
New place in the Market and a great place to dine! My wife selected this place for a pre-museum bite to eat. A large dining room and lots of bar seating available in a gorgeous bright clean environment. Cocktails and an eclectic menu with creative offerings. I had a spicy Bloody Mary to enjoy while waiting for our food. I chose the Mushroom Toast ... A Winner! The dish had two large slices of sourdough toast to support a perfectly poached egg, creme fraiche and an ample serving of fresh cooked mushrooms! Wow! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The Manager Josh checked on us and was most appreciative of our patronage. We will be back to explore more of the menu... I reserve the right to order the Mushroom Toast Frequently!

Yelp
Came here on a casual date and really enjoyed this place. It's an Australian themed restaurant and I loved the Kangaroo kabobs. They had good music playing with a good vibe inside. Outside was more intimate with plenty of room for large parties. They're also dog friendly with water bowls with their logo. The prices are slightly high but with all the inflation going on who really knows anymore.
google avatar

Tegan P.

Yelp
We loved this place! The food was very good. Had their cheeseburger with pickled onions and lots of pickles! They have truffle fries that went perfect with the burger. Our waitress Mckenna was super nice. Excellent service. Its a cozy spot with friendly people. We will be regulars there!!

Hope G.

Yelp
If you have ever been here then you know why this place is one of the best places in West Palm Beach. If you haven't been here, do yourself a favor and come through. The food is spectacular, the drinks unparalleled, and the service has always been phenomenal, but the recent addition of Cam & Kris' 'Sunday Sleeves' has kicked up a notch to next level. Didn't love all the Creed played today, but if that's the worst thing I can say about the atmosphere, this place is still The Best of What's Around.
google avatar

Kim L.

Yelp
Definitely a cute spot for lunch. Service was great, food had some interesting takes on everyday eats. We had the crispy halloumi, summer fling salad, and chicken Sandy. I would recommend all of them! Want to go back in the evening or on the weekend.
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
Overall the service and cleanliness of the place was impeccable. We loved trying the food for the first time. My favorite was the fried fish and my boyfriend liked the brussel sprouts most. The wings were okay. I'm not sure if they needed to be crispier or what exactly was missing. They weren't too spicy - very bearable for someone who doesn't like really spicy foods. I'd love to come back and try more food sometime (maybe brunch). Shoutout to good as gold events for another great bingo night!

Yelp
Worst experience of my life. I was in the area for the WPB Green Market. We saw that this place had great reviews. When we entered there were no tables in here, none were bussed; it was a mess. It took awhile to get sat and I even had to ask if there were menus since no one brought us any for some time. We were super excited to try this place but quickly dissatisfied with the lack of customer service. I asked for no mushrooms in my dish, when the dish had mushrooms in it I kindly grabbed the waitress to notify her. Instead of apologizing, she looked at me a confused and sarcastically asked if I was allergic to the mushrooms, insinuating that she didn't really care unless it was an allergy. The manager (bar or GM) was not helpful at all and just seemed annoyed. I kindly asked them to not remake it because I lost my appetite with how rude and condescending they were being. As a server myself, this is hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I've had for a place of this caliber.

Yelp
*chef's kiss* their cocktails are BOMB & the food was bangin'! chill atmosphere & great service! the menu is so fun to browse through!

Yelp
An Australian cafe in West Palm Beach, in the same complex as a food hall, a brewery, surfing clothing, salons, and a distillery. I enjoyed my burger - it was well crafted and had a nice thousand island-esque sauce on it. Apparently their cocktails are the bees knees, at least representing Australian recipes. It was a bit early for that so I enjoyed the Australian lager they had on tap. Not a bad spot to relax with your mates.
google avatar

Yelp
Great modern clean location in warehouse district about one mile from downtown. Need to drive but worth it. Opened January 2023 but fully functioning. Part owner Australian and menu nods to Australian cuisine but only just. Coopers Aussie ale one import beer. A couple of Aussie wines. Food wise a bit limited. We had Thai curry with chicken. Good a bit rich in broccoli and sweet. Good display of cocktails and Amanda our server very helpful. Wanted to try $16 sausage roll but sold out. No loss as full after curry. Will go again to enjoy good feel and ( for now at least) plenty of indoor and outdoor seating

Celebrating our 18th Anniversary, we had an amazing time thank you to Kris & McKenna for a memorable evening.

Yelp
Food was great, get anything on the menu and you'll be happy. This is such an uplifting and bright atmosphere for morning especially. My wife and I can't get enough. The second time we went I think one server and one bartender were doing the entire front of house duties. 10+ tables easily, but they were awesome and it was the best service I've had in my 7 years of Florida. The one other was at RH Rooftop for dinner in WPB. I'm hesitant to go anywhere else now to spend my hard earned money.

Yelp
This little place was a surprise for me and my sister and we loved it! We went to Grandview for a different reason and saw this cute restaurant which we wanted to give it a try. Our server (whose name we forgot toa sk) was the nicest ever and she made us feel like at home. The manager (we believe) was very warm and kind. we tried the smoke show and the paloma and both drinks were delicious! Few places make me feel like Isla and Co did, and I hope they open one closer to me. Would love to point out how funny and cute their menu is, props to whoever created it because i fell in love with it!

Yelp
Hands down one of the best new spots here in PB! Food great, drinks amazing and the staff here is absolutely fantastic. It's the new spot for me and my homies! We go doing lunch hour so it's not too busy and chill at the bar with the best bartenders!

Yelp
So I wasnt initially aware that this restaurant was located inside of the Grandview Market but was pleasantly surprised given how much I like the vibe of the place. As we walked into ISLA the ambiance was very nice. That low/dim lit space with a really nice soundtrack playing in the background was a perfect way to walk in. Unfortunately for me thats pretty much where my enthusiasm ended. I started off with my goto drink (expresso martini). My first thought was "damn this is kind of small but it doesn't taste bad". The main reason I wanted to try Isla was for their Kangaroo skewers. Looks like steak but has a more gamey taste and along with the cucumber, pickled onions, and tahini it actually tasted really good. Then I tried their signature burger with a side ceasar salad. I would have to call the burger mediocre and I did not like the black garlic Caesar dressing at all. The salad was so tart and bland I just left it on the plate. I do want to mention our server McKenny (spellcheck) but she was wonderful and very attentive... something we all at the table greatly appreciated. Im not sure If I would go back to try more of the menu but im glad I at least stopped by to try it out.

Yelp
Food and drinks were great, someone in our party had a severe gluten allergy, and they made us feel safe and comfortable ordering almost anything on the menu! Our server Chris was informed and charming!
