Great local spot for Jamaican cuisine. Food was good, staff very friendly, portions are decent size. A bit Americanized though… the jerk chicken entree arrived with a container of barbecue sauce. Entrees are fairly priced so good value for your money. Improvements could be made by removing the big plastic wall between the person taking the order and the customer. It’s a bit of a shouting match to get the order through to the person behind the plastic dividing wall. The menu presentation could be better if laminated and placed on the order countertop. I’d definitely visit again though,

First time trying oxtail and curry goat plates. Also had the beef patties. Beef patties are delicious!! Great flavor, not too much pepper and crust is flaky. My husband and I did not like the rice and peas, just not what we're used to and the lettuce instead of steam veggies was also a cooling the tongue surprise. Great tasting overall. We will be back

Island Fork Jamaican restaurant is a spot worth waiting for. Although the wait time for your food might test your patience, the payoff is absolutely worth it. I recently placed a to-go order of jerk chicken, and let me tell you, it's easily one of the most delicious jerk chickens I've savored in the Austin area. The seasoning was spot on, striking the perfect balance between spices and heat. If you’re a fan of bold and flavorful dishes, Island Fork Jamaican restaurant is a must-visit.

Thought this place was really good. We tried the Curry chicken and the Jerk chicken. They both came with plantains, salad and rice and peas (beans). My wife enjoyed the plantains which were crisp as well as sweet and tangy but not greasy. The curry chicken was good as well as the Jerk chicken. The Jerk chicken reminded me of the chicken and peas and rice I had on Roatan island. Both the Curry and the Jerk chicken dishes were a little spicy but not extreme, the Curry chicken being a little less so. The rice and peas were not spicy but be aware that there are little pieces of pepper mixed in and will catch you by surprise if you get one. I will definitely eat here again.

I bought the curry chicken which came with rice and beans, cabbage and sweet plantains. The food was good but I bit into a few pieces of bay leaves and and something stringy, I think it was rosemary mixed in with the rice. The chicken that I received was cut up chicken thigh with little meat, mostly bone. I asked for curry gravy on the side but didn’t receive it.The plantains were mushy. The total price was $10.81. A reasonable price but needed more meat. I encourage people to try this restaurant for yourself. Hopefully you’ll have a good experience.

By far the best Island food I have ever tasted in my life. There is not one thing on the menu that is anything less than phenomenal. GOD Blessed the Chef's. The Customer service is outstanding, and the atmosphere takes you out of Texas and straight to the West Indies!!! I can't wait to go Back. I for see more of these chains popping up all over!! SAVE ME A SEAT PLEASE!!!

Island Fork is somewhere everyone should visit at least once! This was my first time having oxtails and, I kid you not, it was life changing; my plate also came with plantains, rice & beans with gravy and salad...everything was incredibly delicious and complemented each other perfectly. Right now, every Sunday 1pm-5pm, they have a Dj outside, bottomless rum punch(with authentic 100proof rum) with a Domino’s on site and BYOB. I will definitely come back as soon as I can!

Just stopped by for takeout. Me and my fiance ordered the curry chicken, the rice and peas, and the cabbage. Everything was pretty good. Chicken had lots of flavor and rice was cooked perfectly. Our to go plates were packed full with food. I got full with just half my plate. Service was great, everyone was really friendly, even tho we showed up 15 minutes before they closed (we didn't realize they closed at 9 and we were really craving it lol) ...but we were still greeted with smiles. Looks like its the whole family running the place which i love. The restaurant was clean and i liked the artistic chairs they had, adds a lot of personality to the place.
