Everything was so delicious and the service was excellent! We were seated outside and it's beautifully decorated. We started with drinks and I got the peach Bellini which was very good. I ordered the crispy wrap which was so well made, and the perfect portion as well. Others in my group enjoyed their food and drinks as well. Our waiter was so friendly and always checking in on us. Overall it was a great meal and I would definitely come back!

A lovely brunch ambiance. We sat on the porch and our wait was very little especially for a group of 9– the team was very accommodating. Standouts include the Panko Benedict, the crispy chicken wrap and the huevos rancheros. The coffee mugs were so cute as well, be prepared to want to purchase.

Came for dinner in our second night on Nantucket. Beautiful setting on the patio. Amazing food and service. Highly recommend the halibut. We took Lyft to the restaurant from town but had a lovely walk back.

A long walk from the Hy Line dock to the restaurant but it was well worth it. We got iced coffees then shared a waffle and create your own omelette. Opted for the black beans and the Portuguese muffin. Delicious omelette. Waffle was unique and crispy. Syrup was not watered down as some restaurants do. Excellent service

Great spot for brunch! 🍳💕 The food was definitely worth the wait. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived, but the receptionist was super nice and did their best to get us seated as soon as possible. The staff overall were really friendly and made the experience feel easy and welcoming. The vibe is relaxed, and it’s a solid place to kick back with good food and good company. Would totally come back again!

Love the menu and the food - it was so hard to choose. Went with Moroccan eggs and didn’t regret! The terrace is also very nice to sit outside and enjoy your meal.

This was our first stop in Nantucket, Asked the ferry staff and he said its a walk but worth it. I am so glad I listened to him. One of the best breakfast I had and more than anything the staff was super nice. They helped with bus route and gave information about things to do on the island. Reagan, Val and Andrej thank you so much. My waffles and husband's meat lover Omelette were awesome

The Ackerol spritz was really good but the bloody Mary's weren't anything special. Food was good except for some slightly runny scrambled eggs and the sausage wasn't that good. But the waffle, huevos rancheros, bacon, omelettes, toast all very good! They give you a lot of food which is nice for the pricing. The service was pretty good as well our server was very nice and the food came out pretty fast

Island kitchen is one of the best breakfast/Brunch spots on the island. My go to's are the Turkey Hash or the Clucker chicken sandwich! It's always busy so service is a little slow but everything is made to order from the smoothies to every dish. When in nantucket and hungry for an early Diner style breakfast this is the place to go. Also they have a pretty solid dinner menu as well.

I've been here a few times over the years, and their menu always has something for my taste. Their drink selection seems to change although the other times I've been here I was underage so didn't drink. Had a few drinks this last time all of which were delicious. Now the food.... AMAZING! Chicken Milanese and Steak Frites were ordered by my party and both were so good. We sat outside which had nice lighting and plants around the seating area which gave a nice vibe for a romantic dinner. Out waiter was friendly as had always been my experience at Island Kitchen. Would 100% recommend to a friend visiting Nantucket.

Atmosphere was good, servers were great, but the food definitely left something to desire. Specifically flavor :/ The pasta primavera was pretty bland (did they even add salt??) and the steak frites were not worth the money. I wouldn't turn it down for the drinks (we got the Green Lady and the Blues Brothers), but we won't be back here for food.

It is down a side road off the main drag. rather signage is week. I had trouble finding it but it was recommended. I ate at the counter but seating was available inside as well as outside. It was bright, well lit. A nice ambiance.. They had asparagus mushroom omelette which were out of this world. The next time I am in Nantucket I definitely am returning.

Feel a little short, We went during Christmas stroll, They sat us in there Ice cream shop building walking distance from the main restaurant with other folks. Food had to travel from kitchen to us so by the time we got our apps they were cold, then got colder when we had to wait for plates and utensils. Steak was a bit tough, bay scallops were good just a small portion. I would go back because I think I would get a better meal next time in the main dinning area, Waitress was friendly and nice, hostess had a long day it seemed.

The ambiance was cozy and the server was so cheerful. I brought a friend because I had raved about the panko eggs Benedict. In the past, every time I took friends here they loved this particular item. The hollandaise sauce was thick and had no flavor or hint of lemon. The panko-encrusted egg was blonde in color, oily, and bland. I would go back for breakfast, but I would order other items, not the panko eggs Benedict again!

Food and service were high quality. They're also associated with the ice cream parlor next year. Both make a perfect combo.

We came in with a large loud group about 30 min before close. Lucas and Boriz took care of us and didn't try to rush us out. Food was great. Calamari Lobster roll Really cute and clean inside.

Very sweet staff and atmosphere that makes you feel like you are at a friends home or on their back deck. We got to see a beautiful sunset outside! The tuna nachos were tasty but the chips (wontons) couldn't hold all the goodness of the nachos. I didn't love the shrimp cocktail, they tried two different sauces a play on traditional cocktail sauce that was much too thick and a hot sauce that was just not my favorite. My goat cheese and apple salad was fantastic as was my husband's veal which is identical to German schnitzel! They have an ice cream bar next door if you get tired of the juice bar lines!

Nice ambiance away from Nantucket Town. Good food and service was also attentive and helpful advice. Hostess needs more experience - Had to urge hostess to seat us away from kitchen and outdoors. She sat us where we wanted after getting manager approval.

This place was really good - Great food, good vibes, and friendly people. The only complaint I have is that the service took forever. It took a while to even order our food, then the food took longer than it should. The panko-crusted eggs Benedict was awesome. Great outdoor and indoor seating.

My wife and I enjoy brunch at island kitchen. Our go-to meals are the açai bowl and the Greek omelette with biscuits and island potatoes. They also served delicious soups and dinner entrees. I would like to commend the host and waitress at this restaurant for their kindness and customer service. We look forward to returning. As there were fewer people outside in the patio, it provided a more intimate setting for us. Whether you are with the family or on a date, this is a great place to visit and enjoy food on island.

Straight to the point: shrimp scramble was so good I went back 2 days in a row perfect amount of spice and hash browns were a nice touch to wrap it up. Small drink selection for the brunch menu but the Aperol Spritz is a safe and good choice."Seas the Day" Smoothie = açaí, blueberry, pineapple, strawberry. Smoothie was pretty alright, didn't blow me away but wasn't bad either. Overall the "Spicy Egg Srramble" is the best thing on the menu although I've tried nothing else there most definitely worth the +$2 substation for shrimp & good enough to have me coming back for more

Our family (party of 7) ate at the Island Kitchen last night and I can't say enough good things about our experience. First off, our waitress Gina was a sweetheart; super attentive and patient with answering our many detailed questions about the food and possible change options (one of us needs GF). The food was excellent. Everything from the first drink to appetizers to the entree was fantastic. Everyone loved their meal...We have been coming to Nantucket for 28 years and have eaten in MANY different places in our time here. Island Kitchen has been consistently good every time we've been there (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Always a favorite! Gina's great service was just icing on the cake.

Altea our server was awesome. The food was amazing. Just as amazing was the speed in which they delivered our food to the table - under 10 mins. It looked very busy when we arrived but waited only about 10 mins. The cab ride (it's kind of a long walk) from Crabby Cabby (hope you get Captain Tony) was great. We came in on the hy line ferry from Hyannis. So that's basically where we took the cab from...$17 for the 3 of us and definitely worth it. Check this restaurant out- if your experience is as good as ours you will LOVE IT!! Crabby cabby # 508 332 9444

Super good! Apps were amazing - we got shrimp, egg roll, pork dumplings, and Brussel sprouts. For main course, I got the rigatoni bolognese. It was absolutely amazing - but the portion size was really small especially for the price. Staff were awesome. Really cute set up too.

Had a great lunch over at the Island Kitchen last week. We enjoyed omelets out on the patio. The service was great and the surroundings delightful. After we finished and went back to our bikes for the next stop, my bike lock broke and would open. The staff went out of the way to help us get the lock off so we could be on our way. Without their help, we would have been in a huge bind. Will definitely stop by next time on Nantucket and would recommend for your next trip.

We were in Nantucket for only a few days so we did a lot of research in order to make sure we tried the best food. This place had a lot of good reviews and recommendations however it did not live up the hype. It wasn't terrible but it also wasn't anything amazing. I got the avocado toast and an acai bowl, and my husband got the bananas foster waffle. My avocado toast was not good. The bread was sliced packaged bread, it was soggy and the avocado definitely tasted packaged almost like an avocado lime paste. The acai bowl was fine but they didn't have almond butter like I ordered and gave me peanut butter instead. My husbands waffle was too sweet and definitely just tasted like diner breakfast. Overall we didn't understand why this place had such great reviews and was so busy on a Monday morning, every table was taken. If you plan on going definitely make sure to make a reservation.

Place was packed on Sunday morning. Service was quick and attentive. Food was great. Lots of breakfast and lunch options. Would recommend if you are in Nantucket. One of the few options open year round.

Somehow, we always seem to end up at Island Kitchen for a few meals. It's that solid neighborhood spot you don't have to plan on months in advance, where everyone in our party can find something that suits. You can't go wrong with breakfast or ice cream; dinner is good enough. At a recent dinner, the ROASTED BRUSSEL SPROUTS (whipped goat cheese, pomegranate seeds, salted honey; $18) were nice and crisp, not overcooked, but came dressed with a cloyingly sweet sauce (pomegranate juice mixed into honey?), and a barely discernable amount of chevre on the plate (a decorative smear). If there had been more acidity (perhaps from more goat cheese or pomegranate), and less sugar, I would've enjoyed this dish far more. An APPLE & GOAT CHEESE salad (crispy fried goat cheese, romaine, granny smith apple, bacon, candied walnuts, balsamic) was competent. I could've used more goat cheese, again, but the ingredients that were present were thoughtfully combined and everything was of fair to excellent quality. A SPICY TUNA BOWL ($24) was not personally for me. I feel pained when really high quality fish is drowned in dressing as it was here -- but let me try to be fair minded. The (diminutive amount of) ahi tuna was noticeably fresh, soy ginger brown rice ok, avocado perfectly ripe. There was a copious glob of wasabi cream and spicy mayo on top, which I know many folks like. It just isn't for me. The CRISPY PORK LOIN (carrot lavender puree, apple cider, roasted root vegetable; $35) was reportedly delicious. Wines by the bottle were fairly priced. And the ice cream? Glorious as always.

Crappy experience at the ice cream counter. Noticed my scoop was about to fall off the cone, I could see air underneath. Asked the girl to try to pack it into the cone a bit better and she went to give me another scoop. Which I thought was pretty generous, since my main concern was the ice cream falling off, not the amount. Then she upcharged me without telling me. Thought about what had happened for a minute, then brought the uneaten ice cream back and asked for a refund. The staff tried to tell me that they couldn't give me a refund because their manager had already gone home for the night (at 8pm) and none of them were authorized to do refunds. I told them I was just gonna stand there and stare at them until they figured something out, so one of them went to get the manager from the restaurant side who was apologetic and gave me the refund. Didn't take the ice cream; I think the server thought I was trying to scam more, and I didn't want to validate that suspicion. The ice cream there is pretty good, but you gotta tell people what you are gonna charge them. I don't usually base reviews on service. I don't expect servers to be in a good mood all the time, that's not realistic. but secret upcharging crosses a line for me.

Excellent dining for the whole family. Food is imaginative and varied; great to dine in or take out. Reasonable prices. Definitely on our rotation now.

Little off the beaten path but worth the trip from downtown! Great breakfast and fresh fruit! Definitely bike or Uber if you're in the main downtown area to get here

I see why this place gets the top ratings. Service was over the top when it came to seating you on your reservation time and ensuring your plates arrived fresh from the kitchen and water was always topped off. The main waiter had to cover several tables so it was not constant catering like at top Michelin restaurants but as much as I could expect from a local neighborhood eatery. The food was well prepared, excellently displayed and gently arranged. The seafood was fresh. This was an extremely kid friendly place. We saw several people with families including babies. The outdoor seating on a warm night is inviting and spacious. There seems to be a large breakfast contingent and to that am wanting to return.

Great service, nice ambiance, food was just ok. The service: Hostess was very friendly and accommodating. We had a reservation for outdoor uncovered which are the wood benches in front of the restaurant. It was a hot day and we asked for a table inside. She very kindly pulled a few tables together to seat our party of 6. Our waitress was provided top service. She didn't miss a beat on anything. This place definitely has top notch service all around. The ambiance: Beautiful restaurant with a covered patio/garden that was very nice. The food: I ordered the Summer Risotto with Lobster and my husband ordered the Pork Loin. Risotto lacked flavor, the consistency was right and there was a lot of it. The lobster on top was over cooked. The pork loin was not tender and a bit dry.

Island Kitchen has been an ack staple for as long as I can remember. We ate breakfast here multiple times in June and have come in July as well but service is spotty and we got three out of four meals today. After asking multiple employees and going inside to the kitchen we finally got the 4th meal. I think the place needs adult supervision. Too many seasonal employees not paying attention to running the business. Go elsewhere for breakfast..black eyed Susan's, downyflake, etc etc. Too bad. Food is always consistent

Gina and Boris provided amazing service for our dinner! Made my bachelorette a 19/10 experience!!! Food was phenomenal and vibes were even better! Drinks and service made the night!!

A must try while on the island. They have plenty of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. Their panko crusted eggs Benedict were incredible and pancakes are big and fluffy. You'll fall in love with their coffee mugs.

A great midweek brunch while on holiday. On a small island where some options are limited before the weekend rush, I was so happy to find Island Kitchen. Great food, service and outdoor seating checked all of the boxes.

So lucky we got in for lunch ! Great menu can have breakfast or lunch. Sat outside on a beautiful sunny day. Our server was friendly and helpful. We had burgers, salads and paninis! So fresh and delicious!!! Saw the table next to us getting breakfast and eggs Benedict looked amazing! Going back again!!!

Delicious! Smallish Crab-cake sandwich though lovely place and outdoor setting is the best stop by ice cream shop worth the calories

Here's how it went: Me: "Iced coffee please" IC: "our ice coffee machine is broken..." Me: "ok, hot coffee please" IC: "ok"...10 minutes later deliver a hot coffee with rainbow bubbles because there is still dish detergent residue...I walk it back to the kitchen because our server is nowhere to be found, and then get looks from the people behind the bar, as they smell other coffee cups to see if they have the residue. 5 minutes later to our group of 4 kids IC: "can we bring over the one waffle now before the rest of the food?" Me: "prefer not to as that's gonna make the table of kids erupt when only one food item comes" IC: "well the waffle will get cold because it's cooked in a different kitchen" Me: ....."ok bring it out then" !¡!table of children erupts as the waffle comes out and none of the other food is there!¡! Upside: breakfast burrito was delicious.. Good luck.

We regret ordering ice cream at the Island Kitchen. This was really the only option after dinner. The restaurant offered cheesecake and that was it. BUT, conveniently, you can stop next door (owned by the Island Kitchen) and order VERY (I mean VERY!) expensive ice cream. Two 3-scoop cups cost $30.35!!! Outrageous!!! And, the owners discretely (aka hide) a 20% tip for their young servers. The exorbitant tip shows up on the receipt but is not added to the total so you think it's not extra. SO sneaky. Go elsewhere!!

What a great find in Nantucket! We went out for dinner and wanted to sit outdoors. The outdoor area is actually pretty covered, but we ended up being the only ones out there that night because it was a little chilly (we chose a table right by the heaters so it was fine for us) so overall worked out. Wait staff were lovely and very attentive even though we were the only ones outside- never felt forgotten. We started with the cauliflower, which I highly recommend. I then had the scampi, which was delicious and well made. The fiance had the local scallop risotto, which he also liked. Note that the scallops are local scallops and thus small. However, it was still really fresh. This was our favorite restaurant when we were in Nantucket this past March and we would definitely come back!

Really enjoyed the breakfast here. Fantastic pancakes and equally as fantastic atmosphere. Will be back my next visit to the island.

Great breakfast and dinner!! Dinner is more of a well-kept secret, but is so good. Get the shrimp shumai. For breakfast, scrambles and smoothies are awesome.

Island Kitchen is one of our Nantucket favorites. Breakfast, lunch or dinner they do a great job. Their catering program for special events and weddings is first class. The attention to detail and enthusiasm to help is contagious. Patrick, Maggie and the team are top notch. They do a great job.

Great local place only knock is the view Had the IK Burger cooked to perfection and fries nice a fresh/crispy. Definitely will be back.

There is something special when a place can make breakfast different. I have made it a tradition to stop here at least once on every trip I make. The panko eggs are so unique and crazy delicious. I love the homemade sausage patties but usually I find the bacon a little too crispy. The french toast might be the secret star here for breakfast. The portion is giant and it is one of the best I have ever had. It can be expensive and crowded but it is still work it.

Such a cute breakfast spot!!! It's a little outside of town so it was nice and quite. The waiters were super nice and friendly and very attentive! The coffee mugs were also adorable. The food was fantastic. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned perfectly and very crispy but not to crispy. The over easy egg was cooked great. They give you a overly generous portion of bacon too! My only complaint was they didn't butter your toast or bring butter on the side, might have just been a one off experience though. Overall I will def be back when I am in town again!

Ate dinner here outside on a Thursday evening and was able to get a reservation a few days in advance. Ordered the lobster roll, ahi tuna tacos, and calamari. All of the dishes were great and the lobster roll had a ton of meat on it. Good wine selection too. We were able to eat outside with our dog as well!

This is such a pretty spot, whether you're sitting outside or in! Always good food and always love a morning mimosa or bloody!

We were expecting more - larger portions ($35 scallop entree with 3 scallops ), more ambiance. The light above our table had a broken bulb - could barely read the menu or see our food. The bathroom had no mirror (minor in comparison, but really). There were only two dessert options- chocolate cheesecake or plain cheesecake. OR, you can go next door (same restaurant/owners) and spend $25 (!!) on two cups of ice cream. One and done.

They have an efficient waitlist notification system, it sends you a text when your table is ready. Service is slow, you have to be prepared to wait, our food took a l long time to come out, but it was a Saturday afternoon on Labor Day weekend, so probably to be expected. My omelet was delicious and as were the potatoes. The bacon was over cooked and very hard though. The bathrooms also don't have paper towels in a protected dispenser, only a hand dryer which I feel during covid is unsanitary because you have to touch the door handles after

We were biking around Nantucket and looking for a slightly late breakfast, and Island Kitchen came up! We were able to sit immediately at a great little table outside, which was so perfect. The inside looked nice too, but there's nothing like coffee and a tasty breakfast outside in the perfect weather! The food and coffee were both delicious. I would definitely come back!

Our waitress, Val, made this visit worthwhile! Food was very good and a comparative value at Nantucket prices. Tight parking lot, but it worked out. Definitely would return and recommend.
