I loved this place! First let me say that our group had 17 people, 9 of which were 16 and under. And we are big eaters. I was shocked they had food left for other people.
The adults started with no less than three orders of the half dozen oysters and they were amazing! Cold, and easy to pour into your mouth. We also had the Baked Crab Dip Skillet. I'd never had anything like that before but it was great! Full of flavor. We also had the She Crab Fries, which if you don't know, it's an order of fries topped with She Crab soup. Let me be clear, I am not well versed in She Crab Soup, I have zero basis for comparison as this was my first time tasting, so this is a personal preference when I say that I am not a fan of it, thus far. The flavors were not it for me, and it was more watery than I would have preferred, but that's not necessarily a commentary on this restaurants she crab soup. Apparently, it's a dish that started in Charleston and is a southern staple so I will for sure try it again and have more to say about it.
My hubby and I shared the Buffalo Shrimp, the Crab Cake Sandwich and the Lobster Roll and all of it was fabulous! Everything was cooked well, flavors were there and the presentation was nice too.
The reason we came here was because we were a big group. They have a large outdoor space which includes tables, a sizable wrap-around bar, corn hole boards, gorgeous views of the water, and the menu has a little something for everyone including kids. The staff was SO nice and was willing to accommodate us (inside where it was cool), even though we had no reservation- keeping in mind that we came around 4pm. If it were any later, we probably would have had to be outside. The restaurant on the inside is clean, gives total coastal vibes and the bar is pleasing. I would happily come back again.
