I will NEVER eat at this establishment again. I called and placed an order over the phone for a jerk chicken sandwich. When I got home, this is what I received for a $16 jerk chicken sandwich. RIDICULOUS!!!! All bread and absolutely no meat 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I had a great time at the spot. This place is clean and spacious. The food and drinks are inexpensive. The owners and employees were very friendly. Great music. I highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

Went here for a late lunch/early dinner. Very spacious in case you are looking for a venue to hold your event. I was fortunate to have a.conversation with the general manager, Pablo. He gave me a history lesson about the place. I will be returning and strongly recommend this place to others.

I held my husband's 50th birthday party here about 2 weeks ago and have to say we're still raving about it. Everything was on POINT! The food, the drinks, the music, to the ambience and energy - It Was Everything! From the owner (Paul), to the staff and the security - it was all hands on deck to ensure we had an amazing celebration and experience. We did and so did our guests! Much gratitude! If you're looking for an exceptional event space - I highly recommend Islands Lounge. Prior to this, I'd dined there a few times and was never disappointed. The food is delicious and service, always exceptional. My favorite is the steamed fish with okra and food (if you're a yardie, you know what I mean when I say food). My daughter loves the stewed chicken. Now, I understand that my definition of exceptional may be different from others. Folks, we're still in a pandemic environment - it's important to lead with understanding, patience and kindness . It's not often you find a black owned (Caribbean/African) - non European or Asian restaurant make it in the DMV area - or most places for that matter. Let's not sleep on Islands Lounge. I'll continue to support this place over other restaurants that would charge 20% gratuity before you even sit down to dine! I will continue to support Islands Lounge over any restaurant that does not value me or my culture.

Yum, yum, yummy!! I found this in in my neighborhood (Wheaton, MD) 2 weeks ago on a Saturday eve. I placed an order for a Jerk Chicken sandwich (white meat), a Jerk Chicken dinner, and a beef patty. The results: Great! Great! and Just Ok (in that order). The breakdown: The jerk chicken sandwich was on cocoa bread (very good) but there was no sauce of any kind on the sandwich as I'm used to getting in FL but it turned out to be really good as it was. The jerk chicken dinner came with cabbage, rice, and peas & the jerk chicken itself had a smoky spicy flavor that was winning! Lastly, the beef patty failed to deliver. It tasted as if it had been under the tanning light a wee bit too long but the spice was there. I met the owner Pablo (shout out!) who told me that he grills his jerk chicken w/wood chips. That accounts for the smoky flavor I tasted. Update: I went back a week later for another Jerk Chicken Sandwich but I was disappointed. Frances was nice to take my order & I met Horatio but they didn't tell me in advance they were closing early. My sandwich didn't have much meat on it and it had a lot of chicken skin on it. I suggest that you call for hours the day/nite of your visit bc the hours on the website are wrong. And get your food early!

The food was not good. I ordered a curry chicken w/white rice. The rice was undercooked. The curry had an odd flavor to it, not becoming of curry. It is clean, spacious. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced.

We had a ball!!! The venue was beautiful. Service was ok but the food was one to be desired. Music was too loud. Other than that, place has great potential.

Yelp
I have never eaten here but go occasionally for parties. So far, the service has been good. It is very spacious for the amount of people who are present. The ceilings are also quite tall. I like that there is plenty of street parking. There are also two sets of bathrooms in the back and front of the restaurant, a large bar area, many VIP areas and a stage type of area. All in all, a decent venue although it is a bit out of my way. I think it has good potential but the layout is not ideal for parties in that it has the bones of a restaurant. The sound can be a bit muffled with some of the obstructions and carrying sound over such an expansive space.

Yelp
Hi. My Best Friend and I visited Crossroads Two during the Halloween Bar Hop. Walking in, the ambience was very visually appealing. I loved the tropical vibe. I also love Jamaican food. #HalloweenBarHopWheaton

Yelp
Vibes and interior looks nice. Probably a cool spot for dancing. We got their Mac &. Cheese to-go and it's disappointing. Not expecting 5-star quality but definitely not Kraft Mac & Cheese.

Yelp
Stopped in at the recommendation of others. This is a new carribean restaurant in Wheaton. This space had been vacant for many years. I am happy to see new restaurants pop-up in a COVID era. I met the manager and several staff members. They are super friendly. The decor on the inside is very nice. I tried the beef and chicken paties. They were very good. The crust was lite and flaky. The chicken version definitely had a little more spice than the beef, but I like them same. Looking forward to try other menu items and their specialty cocktails. Bon Apetit.

Yelp
Thursday is Comedy Night! My pic is of the stage & socially distanced seating. Within 3 min of being seated,a complimentary rum punch shot was given, great Dj in between comedians the were funny AF! Great vibes, dancing, & comedy without going to dc! I highly recommend! The drinks purchased was too string but i was the only one who wasn't psyched about that!

Yelp
I'll keep it short and simple. I ordered the curry goat with rice and peas with cabbage On Sunday and I was in ER the next day. That was the last thing I ate on Sunday. I'm still not out the woods yet, but finally had the strength to write this post. Cost me an ER copay and 1 week off work.

Yelp
Honestly, I eat here like once a week and have yet to have a meal I didn't like. I highly recommend the jerk chicken, the jerk chicken sandwich, and the oxtails. Everything is so delicious and the staff there are friendly and accommodating!

Yelp
My mother is from Kingston, Jamaica so I know authentic food...and this is it! Staff are super friendly, drinks are delicious, and the food is the best part. Big portions like grandma used to make, a variety of hot sauces from mild to scotch bonnet, and musical vibes straight from the motherland. Please come visit this place. I leave full and happy every time (and I've been there at least 10 times)!

Yelp
Yum, yum, yummy!! I found a good one right in my neighborhood. Had no clue until I typed "Jamaican Restaurants Near Me" in Google. Ok to cut to the chase, this restaurant came up so I placed an order for a Chicken Jerk Chicken sandwich, a Jerk Chicken dinner, and a beef patty so I could have a sample of the food I like. The results: Great! Great! and ok (in that order). The breakdown: The jerk chicken sandwich was on cocoa bread (very good) but there was no sauce of any kind on the sandwich as I'm used to getting in Florida but it turned out to be really good as it was. The jerk chicken dinner came with cabbage, rice, and peas. The jerk chicken itself had a smoky spicy flavor that was winning! The cabbage was kicking and the rice didn't taste as if it had been made with coconut milk as I'm used to having but all in all, it was pretty darn good. Lastly, the beef patty failed to deliver. It tasted as if it had been under the tanning light a bit too long but the spice was there. I'd like to taste a fresher one another time. I would have gotten plantains and ginger beer but the website said it was closing at 10 pm so I rushed to fill my order. I waited outside as my food was being prepared and met the owner Pablo (shout out!!) who was taking a break. He told me that his restaurant opened 2 years ago and he told me about the other diverse cultures around. This restaurant features dancing (a party was in progress) and is open Tuesday - Sunday until 3 am. I will certainly visit again with friends, eat well and do some dancing!

Yelp
Had been waiting for the restaurant to open up, so when I heard they were doing carryout I jumped on the opportunity to finally get some Jamaican food. Glad I decided to take the drive because the food was fantastic. I even called them back afterwards to thank their chef! The prices were reasonable and serving size was enough to feed two people. Looking forward to them opening up full-time for dine-in because the ambiance and vibe were really nice; which was a bonus. Definitely going back!!

Yelp
The host was super friendly! Sadly, the food was disappointing. There was little to no curry in the curry goat. The oxtail was better. The meat pie was good. The food was cold, appeared to have been nuked for a few minutes but not long enough to be hot. And the salad tasted like it had been microwaved.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Delicious authentic cuisine! Superb hospitality! I highly recommend this black owned establishment.
