The Best Products for Taking Care of Dry Hands | Eater

"A Houston pedi spa’s homemade salt scrub is a local chef obsession — he keeps it at home and stocks it in his restaurant bathrooms for natural exfoliation — and for broader use he also recommends Aesop’s Reverence Aromatique hand wash, which combines botanical extracts with finely milled pumice to slough dry skin." - Karen Palmer

We had a fantastic experience at this nail salon! The staff was incredibly accommodating—they even offered us drinks, which was such a thoughtful touch. We were set up in a private room that was very clean and relaxing. We got two Gel-X manicures and two pedicures, and all of the services were excellent. A big thank-you to Mia, Vivian, Caroline, and Xuan for being so kind and attentive throughout our visit. Highly recommend this salon if you’re looking for quality service in a comfortable setting!

Google
I LOVE this location and I come alone because I tip well for someone my age. Anyways, Caroline and Ryan ALWAYS have me looking BEAUTIFUL when I leave. I hope the other locations still get to open, but I know... there's not many people who strive to keep up routine maintenance. I believe this place is a pedicure specialty place. I wish my hands nail tech was at Isle. Great place to have a party. Great place to shop for shoes. They have sooo many polishes. They take their time instead of like the neighborhood nail salon, which is not like a mall nail salon. They also do waxing. Super peaceful and a great place for healing and relaxation with clean sanitation. Ask for the most popular item for the service you want. They are open year round and have convenient hours compared to other places.

Google
Disappointed! Sought out a nail salon that had private rooms for a small private party. Scheduled days in advance, even confirmed. When we arrived the day of the appointment we were told after waiting 30 minutes that we would not be able to get a private room. We would have to wait another 30 minutes and then we would not get a proper pedicure because of the next party. Thus we basically needed to be happy whatever they gave us. I should have walked out but didn’t. For three pedi and two manicures with tip spent $600. The nail technicians were nice but no special service for the amount we paid and drove for the private room. I bought $75 pedi that lasted less than 40 minutes. The scrub basic put on and take off. Rub some lotion no massage. But I was nice and still left a 15% tip. Oh on the website mention neck warmer well no! I really felt ripped off. Good luck to those who go bc there are other great places in Houston with better services and prices.

I had a disappointing experience here today. I got dip manicure (Xuan) & gel pedicure (Vivian) on March 6th for a little over $200. The next day, I noticed the top coat was peeling. I called and made an appointment to get the peeling repaired on March 9th. The tech (Vivian) sanded off the top coat and put on a new one at no charge. I left for Spring Break, and a day or two into the trip noticed the peeling again. In effort to give them the opportunity to fix it (again) I made an appointment as soon as I returned. I decided to get a gel manicure since I had such bad results twice with their dip top coats. I was happy to pay for this since I was getting something different altogether (instead of having them try a third time to get the dip right). At checkout, I was charged for the soak-off of the botched dip job. I explained that I didn’t mind paying for the gel re-do, but it seemed unfair to charge me to remove the dip. I was told management would have to approve comping the soak-off. So I had pay in full until a manager looked into this. So this review is for the management team: Please empower your front line customer service team to handle basic customer service infractions like this. To be so expensive, you guys need to 1) get the job done right the first time and 2) if not, be more than willing to make it right. I actually really liked the ladies who worked on me, and considered making this my regular nail place, but I’ll be sticking with GLOSS on W. Gray. Way more professional and they do an outstanding job every time.

Google
Walked in the salon before 7 today which their hours on the doors said they closed at 8pm so I figured I’d be ok. The lady proceeded to ask me what services I wanted today and then after I said what I wanted she tells me oh we’re actually closed. Why would she bother asking what I wanted done if they were “closed”. Rubbed me the wrong way cause it actually looks like a super nice place

Mind blowing experience with Steve, massage to die for! I’ll be back with my friends and family!

Google
We usually visit the other Kirby location in rice village. The mani and pedi lady for at least two weeks but their massage snd over all pampering is so so. We decided to try this Kirby location instead. The overall pampering was great, but both the pedicure and gel nails started peeling after one week. I treated my daughter who had the same experience. $350.00 is too much to pay for a service/product that lasted a week.

I was recommended by a friend to come to this nail salon. To be honest I was hesitant due to the price, but I decided to splurge for my birthday. Making an appt was easy and they are punctual because I was serviced right at my appt time. The tech I work with, Kayla, was so sweet and inviting. She took her time to help me select the pedicure that tailored to my needs and was very detailed-oriented. The mask she provided on my legs was very refreshing. I’ve never experienced anything like that at any other salon. The price is worth it and I will come back especially to see the technician, Kayla!

Yelp
I came as a walk in with my friend on a Saturday for a pedicure and was serviced right away. We had a private room, which made for a cozy vibe! I chose to do a green tea soft scrub and the aroma was great. The color I chose was O.P.I Barefoot in Barcelona. Overall, highly recommend this clean and inviting spa.

Yelp
I've tried other places here and there and today going back to Isle felt like a relief. It's clean, comfortable, quiet, and inviting. I am not looking for massage chairs or foot bath jets, just a good nail service in a nice atmosphere. My techs were lovely and did a great job- love my nails. Also I didn't feel like it was crowded- there are nice dividers that keep customers somewhat apart or unseen by each other. It makes me wonder why I try other places- but then I remember the price. That's why. Still, I don't think I'll be going elsewhere anymore.

Natalie W.

Yelp
I had the most indulgent experience at Isle PediSpa. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the exquisite decor and calming atmosphere--it's truly a high-end haven for pampering. Angie, my nail technician was incredibly patient and meticulous, ensuring my manicure was flawless. The hand massage was so relaxing, and it's always fun picking from their wide range of gorgeous colors. Best of all, my nails have lasted a full four weeks without chipping! If you're looking for a place that combines top-tier service with a serene, beautiful environment, this is it! I had so many compliments everywhere.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible experience and treatment after coming to this salon off and on for 10 years. Sadly they've list all of their good people - techs and front desk. Last service was an absolute mess where they messed up acrylics and literally painted over acrylics with polish to "correct" the problem. I came back to see a different tech Id requested to redo last time's issues. The receptionist proceeds to argue with me at length that I didn't make a request and tried to put me with the same person who messed up last time. Then claimed they didn't have anyone else and I could come back next week even though I had an appt then?! Seriously, they mess up and want me to come back on a workday. After asking for a manager, they were miraculously able to put me with the tech I requested. Although she proceeded to cut me. Front desk said they'd let the manager know and "hopefully" she'd get back to me in a few days?!? Don't bother. You have lost a customer. I'll take my $80 for refills elsewhere.

Yelp
An incredibly disappointing custom service experience, particularly the front desk staff. The technician was good and kind. The rest of the experience was incredibly subpar for a high end salon. I did arrive as a walk-in, apparently that's some great offense- then set an appointment for an hour later and so I left to run a quick errand. They called me to come back and I did within 9 minutes- but someone else came in and then I ended up waiting long after my appointment time - apparently I wasn't properly checked in. The tech started on my toes and the girl who started on my manicure- left. After being almost 30 minutes late, a "preferred" client came in and she stopped my manicure so the other tech took over. This caused my appointment to run too long, a little hiccup the nail art. I let the front desk (Lynn) know (after paying) it was a subpar experience and was essentially blamed for not having a appointment. I asked to speak to management and was told they'd call me. This is my second issue with an isle pedi spa- they don't call. It's unacceptable for management not be available to address concerns. I had to return because the extra polish ended up smudging.

Yelp
This place was a REAL disappointment. I thought we were in for a true luxury experienced based on the pricing and the location. We had an appointment for pedicures in a private room. The air conditioning was malfunctioning in the private rooms so we had to leave the door open to keep from getting to hot. The TV that was advertised in the private room didn't have any streaming or cable - just power. You could not watch anything. There were no massage chairs, just plain, uncomfortable chairs for the pedicures. The foot tubs had no spa jets, just totally static water. There was no hot towel wax or paraffin. I mean - how do you pay $153+ tip for 2 pedicures with zero amenities? The best thing was our 2 technicians. They were both nice, made good conversation with us, and did a good job with our feet. They are the only reason I changed the rating from 2 to 3 stars.

Yelp
Lovely and very swanky Nail Salon. My Best Friend and I had a great time enjoying our Mani and Pedis. We each had two nail technicians and everyone was Rona safe. Isle has these cute little rooms for you and a guest to enjoy some privacy. There's beverage service and a nice Flat screen TV to watch as well. The ambiance is very nice just like you would expect in River Oaks. Our Manis and Pedis were done wonderfully and in record time. My only disappointment was that their tubs for the Pedis have no jets inside them and their Booths that you sit on have no massaging options. And that makes it a little uncomfortable when sitting and trying to relax. So for the amount of money I paid for my Mani/Pedi, I think I'm going to pass on a revisit and take my dollars where I can get some jets on my tootsies and massaging on my back. But this definitely is a Salon to visit if you don't care so much about those two things.

Yelp
It kills me to write this. I used to absolutely adore Isle Pedispa, all locations. I've taken countless friends & family with me and this used to be the absolute standard of top quality of nail salons in Houston. After my recent visit I can no longer sing their praises. I experienced the below issues: - Multiple scheduling problems - Poor quality of work, my acrylics are all misshaped - Gel polish started chipping in less than 24 hours

Yelp
Visually this place is appealing and they offer customers water, wine , coffee and tea, but it really nothing but an expensive shop. I had a room with 2 friends. My one friend is a regular client so she had a nail technician that she preferred. My technician was not friendly and just kept and saying relax your feet. Relax leg , move this way and do that. She really could not be less friendly if she tried.I felt that I was being reprimanded. She did not remove the callouses very well and I felt like was on assembly line. She did not have me dry properly and the resultant was nail polish off on the big toe. My suggestion is go to Dream nails a. couple blocks away, where you can get hot wax, stone message and hot towel for 7 dollars less without the attitude. If you want a group experience for a birthday , wedding etc, they have private rooms that are nice, but remember you won't be getting service or quality with out paying 75 dollars for a pedicure. Save your money! They advertise how each technician has so much experience, however, I think they missed the customer service part of the training !

Tamara S.

Yelp
This place is the worst! Zero service, at 80+ per pedicure it should be an experience for the customer. No massage chairs, basic sink basin, no jets, felt dirty & old. Their center pedi room feels very "back of house", no music, no offer of a beverage (although they promote a mimosa with service). Not even an offer of water. Early a.m. appt & they were still late. Amy, the receptionist couldn't find a smile if she tried (I sat and watched her sign people in--for longer than I should have). Turns out Amy is the Manager --this explains everything about what a crappy customer experience this was! I'd recommend taking your money elsewhere, where they care about their customers & service.

Yelp
I have been desperate to leave my current nail salon but didn't know where to go. after doing some research online I found this place . From the first phone call I could sense they had great hospitality and I was very happy to see that they had a website that was easy to navigate. The only criticism I have is that for how advanced they seem to be in the nail and spa industry, they should have online booking available. I made an appointment today (Tuesday) for 2pm over the phone.. later I realized that I would be late so I called and they rescheduled me for 2:30 without hesitation. When I arrived for my appointment they quickly checked me in and within 2-3 minutes I was taken to a private room where everything was already set up for me. The nail tech was so kind to me. She immediately asked what I would like to drink and helped me into the chair. Within 5 minutes I had a hot cup of tea, warm neck wrap and she was already removing my polish. She asked me all of the right questions and I was so appreciative of that because so often at other salons they just assume and never ask your preferences for your nails or comfort level. Another thing I noticed that made me very happy, they were well stocked with polishes. At other salons, they keep one bottle forever and just keep adding paint thinner or whatever it is to it but at Isle they had multiple of each color which means they do switch to a new pot once the old one runs out. Yes, it is expensive. Expect to pay $120 for shellac mani and regular pedi. But i feel like if that's the price I have to pay to get what I really want (and need) then that's the price. For too many years I have gone to salons and paid less for much much worse. Salons where the nail techs repeatedly try to pressure me into services I don't want or need. With dingy looking chairs and no care put into the aesthetics. Salons where they stop to answer personal phone calls, stop when someone new walks in so they can start their foot bath, or leave me in the middle of my service to work on a customer they like more and put someone less experienced with me. No.. I think I'll just bite the bullet and pay for better quality at Isle Pedi.

Yelp
Cannot believe how rude the service is here for their price point. Will be calling headquarters soon. My nail color is also not the one I choose but i did not want to say anything as I was with a group of ladies who lunch. Left feeling very disappointed and out of pocket $140 :(

Yelp
I went back for a regular manicure -- no gel -- and it actually lasted close to two weeks! My girlfriend, her man friend, and I booked a room so we could gossip, drink wine and relax in our private setting. Don't forget to ask for a heated neck/shoulder wrap. And do enjoy those complimentary cookies and vino.

Lauren A.

Yelp
I went to Isle Pedi Spa to get a full set the day before my graduation. I was hoping for top quality service. I did not receive that in the slightest. By the time I had left I was left with dried nail polish on the tips of my fingers, my palm and cuticles. It was underwhelming to say the least. The lady at the front desk tried to help me and my friends with a scheduling conflict. She also was terrible at making me feel understood. I think that she was trying to support the nail tech but when it's this bad it just makes the customer feel crazy. 2/10 I'm also still waiting on my refund.

Yelp
I love this place .... Who your technician is makes all the difference though. The location is Fantastic , I'd move just to be nearby (maybe, lol). Anyhow the first time I went my husband and I got pedicures; That's when we met Lucy and Kathy! I love them !!!! They are friendly, gentle and caring. We brought our son with us and They were so patient with him. Playing with him , loving on him and all . YES they were still very attentive to our needs. Our pedicures were phenomenal. Oh we had a private room as well. HUGE PLUS ( Insert Relief face Emoji) 2nd Trip I took my bestie for her birthday and that's when we met Tracy. Lucy, Kathy and Tracy to the rescue!!! We got our Mani Pedis and couldn't have been happier. Today I took My Mom, See the Trend!!! IM NOT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

Yelp
First and last visit. The receptionists were cold and rude. Not the way I want to be greeted in an upscale nail spa. My bill was $118 for gel "restorative" manicure and a peppermint pedicure. The service is a joke! I get my nails done every 3 weeks and I've received MUCH better service at places that charge much less. There was nothing restorative about my manicure. There was barely a massage during my expensive pedicure. The pedicure itself was mediocre and when they finished, they just shooed me out the door to pay and leave. Where am I supposed to sit for my toe nails to dry? Who the heck sends their clients out like this? Isle Pedispa. An hour later - I noticed part of my French pedicure chipped. Lovely. Don't be fooled by the menu and the marketing. This place will take your money and give you subpar service that is not what is promised on the menu at premium prices. I'll take my money and nails elsewhere.
google avatar

Yelp
We picked this place because of the great reviews and it's a very clean and "pretty". My partner and I arrived and the receptionist was my very welcoming. Our two person pedi room was very nice and clean and we enjoyed the free glass of wine. Once the pedi began it was over before we knew it. From start to finish it took a total of 30 minutes! 30 minutes!!!!! Our bill was $110 with tip. The finished product was mediocre AT BEST! The buff/shine came off almost as soon as we left. No cuticle work. Maybe the ladies who worked with us must have not had much experience working on men. All in all, we have no problem spending more for a quality pedi. But this one was worth maybe $30. So very very disappointed.

Yelp
I made an appointment with Ryan for a manicure and pedicure today. His paint work was sloppy on my manicure, and I had to point several things out to him that he didn't see or notice, which is concerning for someone who does nails. He got an attitude with me and stopped in the middle of the service, took all the polish off and went to the front to "find someone else to do my nails". I left and will not be back. A waste of my afternoon. No apology given.

Laura C.

Yelp
I've been here several times over the last few years. Service is always pretty good, and depending on your tech, the polish tends to stay on quite a while. Note: the length of time the polish stays on is directly correlated to whether or not your tech rushed through the service or not. I wish this would be emphasized throughout the company. So- I am leaving this 5 star review for for Cathy - she is wonderful- careful, talented, and lovely. She does a great job.
google avatar

Kath B.

Yelp
Worst experience... know that they do not care about you at all.... Even when you explain to them that you are a new customer and they do not ask if you need regular or shellac or something else. I wasted about 45 minutes just soaking off my nails and then the nail tech comes with regular polish... and I asked her if she could do shellac.. she went to ask for more time and I guess they said no, the lady comes back starts cleaning up and said "you will have to re schedule because I don't have time.. I already have another pre paid client" and then she left as I had to walked out to the front desk without my nails done. The Asian girl at the front desk she did not care on what some ever that my nails were not done and said to re schedule with such an attitude... I HATE WASTING TIME!! I would never go back there! You are serving high end customer, so you should have high end customer service! Do not employed people with attitude when they were the ones that made the mistake! HORRIBLEEEEE PLACE!!!! HORRIBLE PEOPLE...

Yelp
Expensive but well work it! Nails look great, they always accomodate. Great date with my boyfriend where they took us to a special room. The staff is very professional and sweet. And wine too :)

C L.

Yelp
This has been my go-to place for over 10 years. Occasionally I have gone to a cheaper place but I have learned the hard way that you get what you pay! If you want consistency, quality and above all a clean, sterile environment then this is the place for you. They have a strict cancellation policy which I've never had an issue with as I understand their business model. Over the years I have seen many technicians but Karla and Ryan are my top choice. They always go above and beyond and are very professional in how they treat me as a customer. Only twice did I have issues at isle and that was a rude receptionist and a horrible eye brow technician both at the village location.
google avatar

Hajra L.

Yelp
last year my friends got me gift certificates for this place so that's how I came to know about the Isle. I've been hooked ever since!! it's CLEAN, professional, and they do a great job! it's about 10 notches above the regular mani/pedi places. yes - the prices are on the high end, but it's worth it. I even tried to convince myself otherwise by going back to regular places, and at the end, I came right back!

st t.

Yelp
Not worth the money. I paid $150, more than double what I usually pay, and I specifically ordered a pedi with extra moisturizing steps bc my legs are peeling from working in a dry climate. I left with hangnails and visible dead skin on my legs. I had to ask for wine twice before they gave me any, and no shoulder/neck massage is included. Essentially it was very low level, basic service for an insane price.
google avatar

Jenn L.

Yelp
First time here and OMG, I was so overwhelmed by how large of a pedicure selection they have. We went with their most popular, Silk Pedicure. This was seriously no joke, my skin came out feeling so soft and silky. In the middle of my pedicure, I wished I would have booked a manicure too or maybe that was the champagne talking? But then again there's a 2 glass limit per person, but you can bring in your own bottle and also take advantage of their 2 servings. Remember to book a private room in advance. The privacy and experience is pretty neat! It's not like any other nail salon! Note: I learned that the polishes in the front are for sale not to for you to pick out your colors... haha

Divya G.

Yelp
what terrible service. we booked the place for a friends baby sprinkle. the staff were unfriendly and rude and so not accommodative inspite of having made a group booking. pedi was also not so good and overpriced
google avatar

Aimee P.

Yelp
I was kinda iffy about this place after reading some of the reviews but I would definitely recommend coming here. I came in without an appointment and was helped immediately by Mya. I got the regular pedi at $43. Mya was so sweet and did great on my toes. Will definitely be coming again.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Amazing service...always come back! Everyone so nice and nails always look great. Clean!

Pat D.

Yelp
I recently moved to the area and relied on the websites of local salons to make my choice. Big mistake! Isle PediSpa has a base price for the services they provide, but then there are the add-ons. Every person who touches you and everything they do is an extra charge. I had my nails done in another city while moving. It's a long story, but to summarize, I ended up with acrylic on my nails. To have Isle PediSpa remove it and give me gel nails and a basic manicure was $156.00 !!! The two ladies that did the actual mani/pedi were wonderful. I would have gone back to them if I hadn't felt cheated by the cost of their services.
google avatar

Yelp
had a gift card decided to try this place out. i let the lady know there was a hair in one of my nails and the other chipped and she said she'd fix it and never did. i'm including pictures she was really nice but i don't think i'll come back

Yelp
I've been going to Isle Pedispa at West Ave for four years and love it. The decor is so lush, and I love my coffee and cookie while my nails are drying! The staff is always friendly and I love, love, love my nail tech, Mya. She's a hoot and we always have a good time. I moved out to the Richmond/Rosenberg area over two years ago and it's well worth the drive back into Houston to go to Isle Pedispa. Being a diabetic, it is extremely important that sanitary conditions are met, and I have confidence in this place about their procedures. They are one of the few nail salons that use an autoclave to sterilize the metal instruments. When I went to my podiatrist last year he expressed concern about my going to a nail salon. When I told him I went to Isle Pedispa he said he knew of it and it was a good place. My doctor's stamp of approval was great to hear!
google avatar

Tilah L.

Yelp
Eunice and Teresa were great. We had so much fun. Perla and the girl that did Erica's pedi were fun also. I will be going here again, but next time we are going to have the tv on in our private room! Haha

K.R. J.

Yelp
You better have time to waste,, they are running soooooo late!!! Called and scheduled appointment for 6pm. Arrived at 5:38p. Checked in and had 5 other customers walk in after me. Each of them were taken back for service BEFORE me and it was already 6:15p. Why go through the performance to make an appointment and require a credit card for deposit if you can't schedule your clientele and facilities accordingly?!?! Not one employee bothered to mention that the delay was for the room to become available...until I got up to let them know I was leaving. Apologies everywhere when I'm walking out the door, but not a word otherwise. For the prices and locale, no excuse not to have a better managed schedule.
google avatar

Nate J.

Yelp
Very disappointing that we did not get to experience their services. I made the appointment a week in advance and showed up 15 minutes early. We were told our room is getting ready and it would be "a few minutes". Well, after waiting 20 minutes (5 minutes past appointment time) we asked how much longer. We were told room is still being prepared and that it would be "2 minutes". After another 10 minutes we asked how much longer and were told "3 minutes". We decided to leave because 1) had other things to do in the day and 2) had no reason to believe it would only be 3 minutes. It is completely ridiculous and unprofessional that they were this late without any sign of when we would actually be seen for an appointment I scheduled a week in advance!!
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. All these great reviews really surprise me...this place was not great at all. After a terribly stressful week at school (teachers), a fellow teacher and I yelped and decided to try this "spa" out (we wanted a spa!!) We has appointments for 4:00 and were not seen until 4:20. There was no where to sit while we waited. It was quite noisy and not very "spa" like at all (we wanted a spa!!!). We were taken into a private room (the only bright spot of the visit). The room wasn't tranquil (we wanted a SPA!!!!). The girls were rude, short and no fun at all. Mine kept telling me to relax...but not in soothing manner,it was more like an annoyed demand. I told her I was a bit ticklish and she just half way smiled (I really am!). My friends girl never spoke really. I wish people in Houston who work for tips...WORKED for tips. I'll never understand it. We were offered a drink, but nothing else that was advertised online (herbal neck wrap, oils, tv, cd player, NOPE.) Bath water was cold and stale, no bubbles or fizz and it didn't even smell nice! The benched that you sit on are not relaxing at all. No rub down, scrub, soak or even time to relax and enjoy for a moment, just in and out mentality. Nails were ok, nothing that special or worth the $10-$15 above strip mall shop price (total for classic $43, my friends basic shellac mani $50) . We went here because we liked the word spa and thought it would be relaxing. It wasn't. Bottom Line: expensive, not a spa at all, bad customer service, go somewhere else.

Yelp
Ladies, had a rough week? Come here and get pampered for the ultimate pedicure experience. If you're wanting to SPLURGE this place is definitely worth it. I came here with a friend and we were able to book a reservation for a Saturday morning pedicure, no problem. It was my first time here, and the quality of the spa blew my mind. Super clean pedicure tubs, cushioned throne-like seats, pillows, and mini TV's embellished in the walls. If you're looking for some privacy, you can also book private rooms. The service was also excellent. I opted for the Island spa pedicure, and was thoroughly impressed afterwards. Yes, this place is quite pricey (my Island pedicure came out to a total of ~$70 with gratuity). For your everyday pedicure and touch-up, I'd go elsewhere. However, we ladies all need to treat ourselves once in a while to the ultimate-luxury. Def worth it!

Yelp
This was my first visit to this location but 3rd overall. I booked my appointment for 6pm on a Saturday because my day was full. I had a little trouble finding it and tried calling but was put on hold. I ended up walking around the shopping center and finally found it on the 2nd level above Rye 51. Checking in was easy and I was quickly taken back by my pedicurist, Angie. She was sweet and accommodating. I chose my usual Pedissage Pedicure - $60. The great thing about this one is the 15 minute foot massage, per foot! I feel a bit overwhelmed by the many options so I went with what I liked! The pedicures at Isle are the best in town. Now I've not frequented high end spas or country clubs but I've had my share of pedicures in Houston and the quality at Isle PediSpa is consistent. My girl took her time with my toes and definitely took her time with the massage. The only negative I would say is that she was super chatty and sometimes did not focus on the task at hand. I enjoyed chatting with her so I did not complain but next time I will politely speak up. I find that my nail polish lasts a lot longer than other nail salons and for that reason, I will pay more for a pedicure. My feet were well taken care of and now I won't be embarrassed to show them off when Houston decides to be 75 degrees in the middle of winter!

Yelp
Went here a week ago. Paid $58 for shellac and $63 for a peppermint pedicure. When I sat down, the pedicure tub was still dirty and had the roses petals from the previous person's pedicure still in there, so they cleaned it while I sat down... really? My shellac has chipped and cracked over the past seven days. The pedicure looks nice but it was worth maybe half of what they charge. Just trust me - do not go here unless you like wasting your money. It was a joke.

Yelp
Decided to check this place out as I was in serious need of a pedicure and it is nice and posh but overpriced. When I called to make my appointment for the mani/pedi the receptionist told me how there was no tip line for credit cards and if I wanted to tip I should bring cash (I guess they had gotten too many complaints or read the Yelp reviews commenting about this). I did appreciate the reminder call a day before my appointment, though. One thing to note - I was a bit thrown off when I was paying because there was, in fact, a line for gratuity. I thought there wasn't supposed to be one? I brought cash so I guess it didn't matter, but I wouldn't have had to make an extra trip to the bank so if I come back to this place I won't bring cash with me. Overall my experience was just "meh" since the manicure I got was pretty much standard, but the reason I'm giving this place three stars is because of how nice a place it is. The ladies who saw to me were okay, a little chatty with me which was nice. I don't often get my nails done so I forget how long polish actually takes to dry. Afterwards I was moving things in my car and a couple of the nails got smudged. I went right back inside and told the receptionist who grabbed the nail technician and she fixed it, but it seemed as if she was a little annoyed. If you're in need of a pedicure, this place is a great option. My feet aren't in great condition due to taking the abuse I give them from my job, and I appreciated the level of professionalism and care the lady gave my tired, calloused feet. I also like how I was offered water to drink. I prefer to drink hot water over cold, and it was nice to know they had that as an option. If you need a manicure, skip this place and find somewhere cheaper unless you're pressed for time. If you want to beat the rush, make an appointment for Monday mornings. Had the whole place to myself which was kind of cool.

Yelp
TOTALLY worth it!! Went here for a pedicure, based on previous reviews. Can't imagine how anyone would give them less than 5 stars! We had the Yellow (butterfly) Room to ourselves and were able to watch the Texans Pre-game during our service. What a way to start a Football Sunday! Both Kathy & Angie were phenomenal. Our feet feel AMAZING! Try the hot rock service and/or paraffin. Outstanding!

Yelp
The prices are steep, but the service is bomb. I always leave feeling beautiful and appreciated. The ladies there are so sweet and recommend services based on their knowledge, not based on to make you spend more. I was going to get a $90 pedicure, but the lady recommend me to get one that was about $15 less expensive, but would benefit my needs more. I thought it was sweet and thoughtful and I ended up just tipping her the difference of the two pedicures in addition to her well deserved 20% because I was blown away that she had done that. Plus the mani/pedi was just so amazing. The only reason I am giving it 4/5 stars is because most recently I booked an appointment for me and two friends and they wanted me to put a credit card down. (I guess it's their policy when booking 3 or more people). That rubbed me the wrong way, especially since I live at West Ave & the appointment was only 45 min away--which I kindly explained and they ended up not making me. I've been back since and will continue to go.

Yelp
Always come here for my nails. One of my favorite places. The staff is so nice! The pedicures are my favorite part.

Yelp
My niece booked this place for us on Sunday July 23, for our monthly "Girls Day" Service wasn't that great! My pedicure was done in about 10 minutes. Next thing I know the technician was putting polish on my toes.....Done..didn't get to relax and enjoy. When we get to the registrar, we find out because she booked it for 10 ladies and only 6 showed up, we were responsible for the other 4 ladies. At $43 a pop, we were not happy. Just a suggestion.....please can you verbalize the important stuff Needless to say, we won't ever have our "Girl Day" at Isle Pedispa

Yelp
What is there not to like? Beautiful, posh, and chic decor with a great staff, excellent technicians, and a great service menu. It is a wonderful place to go and be pampered for yourself or in a private room with friends. I love this location because it is perfect for a girls day. Mani/Pedi, lunch, shopping. I usually go for the regular pedicure which to me is priced well but decided that I need a little more. My calves have been sore from a workout so I went for the hot stone pedicure. Those hot stones were amazing against my sore muscles. Great place for parties. Check them out!

Yelp
Like everything at the West Ave, this place is over the top. I feel like this is what Mariah Carey's closet looks like -- glittery, glossy and expensive. I love their extensive menu, but as the prices dictate, you can't make this your biweekly pedi place. Besides that, my pedicure wasn't perfect before I left. I'm not sure if it was because I was the last client of the day, but the paint was bubbly and needed another coat. Bizarre. If you're paying $65 for a pedicure, it has to be perfect. The scrub and massage were great, and obviously everything smells incredible there. They offer Chanel polishes, but they cost a little more to use. I'm interested in their spa services, and I'll certainly be back in a few months after winter takes its toll on my heels.

Yelp
i really love this place. It's great for getting out with girlfriends or just getting a great, relaxing, mani or pedi. The staff is really nice. They could work on their greeting and customer service skills, they're always busy and in a hurry, but other than that the service is great. Most importantly, I am in the beauty industry and I know what it takes to be SANITARY and this place is very clean. Sanitation is a huge issue in the world of manicures and pedicures and Isle Pedi Spa does a great job with the small but important details. It is more expensive than most places but totally worth the experience and service and again...ill pay whatever I need to make sure it's clean.

Yelp
First time here so I got there early for my appointment. Instead, my girl was 10 minutes late which was a bad start. I decided to splurge for the $60 'pedissage' which is supposed to have 15 minutes of deep massage. I got maybe, maybe 10 minutes and that's generous and it was not a hard massage- felt more like she was just rubbing in lotion. I was finished with the pedicure faster than those that got the regular pedicure which is way less expensive. I should have complained right away to the manager- wish I would have gotten the person's name. Only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because it was a clean place and the polish stayed on a long time. Definitely not worth the high price tag when there's so many other choices in Houston!

Yelp
I'd like to start this by saying I've been a customer for over a year and had no issues. People are friendly, service is great and I have my preferred nail techs which always great to have options. Now here is the reality check of their customer service or lack thereof. First let me say last month was a crazy month for me with work and unfortunately catching the flu. I called to cancel by appointments informing them as such. The last time I called might before as I has ad early morning appointment informing them that I was very seek and unable to make my appointment. The salon called and inquired why I was a "no show" I said I left a voicemail the previous evening informing them I was sick. So fast forward to present day I booked with one of my usuals and she asked what happened to me last month and why I was a "no show". I said I called and canceled due to last minute work conflicts and being sick. She said she talked to owner and no longer wishes to see me as a client. I was shook!!! I'm sorry is this a doctors office? Is this how you treat your customers? Life happens people!!!! I'm very disappointed in how I was treated so be warned if you cancel you will be black listed. It's not worth it when there are tons of nail salons that would be happy to take my business. Lack customer service has definitely declined. I've gone to many salons and have never been told you're not welcome anymore. I gave it 2 stars as she did decent job despite this nail techs behavior who also rushed through my pedicure so just wanted to let the consumers know this is not how you do business.i. Probably the worst part is that I've been waking up in the middle of the night with foot pain due to ingrown toe nails. So now I get to travel out of town in pain for long weekend and suffer.
