Montreal's Food and Drink Scene Is Calling

"A wine-focused destination on an exclusive stretch of Laurier Avenue West that pairs an excellent, globally sourced wine list curated by sommelier Guillaume Turpin with small South Asian plates, creating tasting-friendly pairings that highlight both regional flavors and international producers." - Dobrina Zhekova

The Best Restaurants at MTL à Table 2018 - Eater Montreal

"Another pricier destination, Stelio Perombelon’s M.Mme seems like a total MTL à Table bargain with a $33 menu of duck, Arctic char, and foie gras torchon — but of course, you’ll have to pay extra to taste any of the extensive, well-selected wine options." - Tim Forster

We are a group of 11 people and have a private room in the basement of the restaurant which was very nice! The ambiance and the decor were great. The waiter is very considerate and provide excellent service. However, the food services were very long. We are a big group, but I didn’t not expect that long. It took almost 4 hours for 4 services. The food overall was okay, it wasn't bad but it wasn't especially good either. The spring rolls and the wings were delicious. But the papaya salad is lacking of flavour and the tom saap beef soup was way too salty. Overall, I would recommend that restaurant to host big group for the atmosphere and private room. Hopefully it won’t take that long next time.

Decor is incredible. Service was really on point and filled with warmth and care. Food Was delicious. We compared it to Dix30 Siam, the king of Thai restaurant in our opinion. Issan was a great contender, but in the end Siam seems a bit more delicious in all Dishes we tried today. Cocktails was very impressive. Maybe i should of Tried the wine! Next time. Great place A must try

Excellent authentic Thai restaurant, beautiful and romantic decor and good service. Everything was great however, the biggest downside was that they didn't have dessert as they were out of stock but they didn't notify us before hand so we couldn't have a sweet touch after all this spice. Specially considering that we mentioned when we made the reservation that it was our wedding anniversary. Another thing is that for the quantity and price it was on the expensive side so for big appetite you might be hungry unless you order many plates (small portions). Otherwise, in term of taste and flavor, it is delicious. One dish I didn't enjoy was the crying tiger as the meat was low quality (chewy and overcooked) and the price for this dish was one of the most expensive. Based on all that, I cannot give more than 3 stars. I will possibly come back during summer for their papaya salad (delicious) but I will call before hand to know if they have dessert. I want to try their mango sticky rice.

Had Pad Thai and the red curry chicken with bamboo shoots. Good quality chicken compared to other Thai spots, and more balanced and fresh flavours than the usual mob of salt. However, I wouldn’t be upset at slightly more rice than the small pot (not pictured) that’s provided. I did like the presentation. Partner said it’s the best pad Thai they’ve ever had! Awesome selection of wines. Will be back for sure

Very lovely place. Great decor and attention to details. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. Food is on a pricey side and portions are not very big but that gives you an option to order more than one dish to enjoy the variety of flavors. Grilled beef tongue is amazing! Couldn't take photos of all dishes because we were extremely hungry after hiking all day, but those are small details that stands out. Chiken from set menu absolutely amazing. Very flavourful.

I had a great time. The food was delicious especially the Beef Salad we had and the crispy chicken wings were so good. The staff was attentive and kind. Beautiful atmosphere, highly recommend for date night or to hang out with friends!!

Bring your own food since you will wait for a long while before getting your order. We came as 2 couples and ordered a variety of drinks and food. My 2 friends got their wines fairly early, but the cocktail ordered by me and the mocktail ordered my wife didn’t come, 45 mins later, the waiter came and tell me that my cocktail is unavailable so I changed it to whatever is faster. Take note that none of us have received our food yet. After 1 hour, we all got a little impatient since we have no food and my friends are tired of drinking their wines by themselves so they asked the closest waiter where are our drinks and the food we ordered, turns out my cocktail order was left at the bar and nobody brought them to us. So we finally got all our drinks, still no food. We started pressuring our waiter to at least bring any plate which is ready first. Drinking on an empty stomach can only go that long. After a while my friends got their beef tartare and I got my chicken cashew and by all means, I was shocked, I expected that since it took over 1 hour to prepare our food, at least it has to look somewhat fancy, but no, it looks just like a simple plate you get at Thai express, just take a look at the picture no fancy ingredients. There are literally 5 pieces of cashews in there. Anyway, that being said, i was too hungry to complain so I quickly finished the plate, we still had to wait for some while for our second plates which is pad Thai and green curry soup, which tasted okay, you can’t really mess up a pad Thai. After we finished our foods, my friends still has 1 more plate to come and since we were all pretty angry, he just asked the waiter to cancel that order if it’s not almost ready yet. Guess what, it’s not so he cancelled the order and we got our bills. The waiter tried to be nice by removing the wines from my friends bill and for us, asked if my wife would like a free “mocktail”, which she politely declined, can’t risk waiting another 45 mins for a drink. We ended up going to another bar to grab more stuff to eat and drink since the portions here are small. The other place we went was fully packed and we got our food in 6 mins, we timed it. My message to Pamika is that Thai foods are fast serving, especially the street foods we ordered. I have seen other reviews complaining about the order speed, so our case is not unique. If your staffs still cannot organize to deliver them on time after all these complains, then consider changing them.

This review is from a person who is married to an Issan wife. I loved the food so much that it reminded me of the time I spent in Amnat Charoen. My wife almost cried because every bite was holding a special memory. We have ordered more than what is in the picture. Every detail of the Issan Wineroom par Pamika was from Thailand. Anyone who is from Thailand or has visited Thailand can say that the food there is from Issan. We have enjoyed our travel to Thailand with the food that we have eaten there and will be back to try out more of the menu. This is the one of few Thai restaurants that I have food that kept the ingredients as it should be without any cut back. The menu was also written in Thai (nice touch) Everyone was polite and nice, just like the land of smiles! The place looks clean with an open kitchen, similar to Thailand. You guys are amazing! You got this and keep it up!!! Video https://youtu.be/UpmpKcF8_Z8?si=qisQUr1nd_tMmpwO
