Itadaki Yakiniku - Review - Bellevue - Seattle - The Infatuation

"At this upscale Japanese BBQ restaurant in Bellevue, the $150 per person prix fixe menu includes, to no surprise, a whole bunch of wagyu. You’ll find the meat wrapped around seared scallop, served with egg yolk and truffle sauce, and presented as a tartare topped with uni and caviar. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

This was our second visit to the restaurant. Since it was during Restaurant Week, our overall satisfaction was a bit lower compared to our first time, but we still enjoyed our meal. The steamed egg(chawanmushi) was a little on the salty side, but it was super soft as it should be and still tasted nicely savory. The scallop sushi was also good. Most of the meats on the Restaurant Week menu were marinated, which was a bit disappointing for us, but we’ll definitely come back on a special occasion or anniversary to try the beef tongue(not acami but toro) and sirloin cuts again. The service was little bit slow until we got our meat, but the server was nice throughout the dinner.

I recently dined at Itadaki in Seattle, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself has a warm, minimalist vibe that feels both modern and welcoming—perfect for a cozy dinner or a relaxed night out. The food truly stands out. Every dish we ordered was thoughtfully plated and full of flavor. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with clean cuts and just the right balance of rice and fish. Their specialty rolls are creative without being overcomplicated, and the nigiri melted in my mouth. Highly recommend: the wagyu tongue toro, the Japanese A5 wagyu zabuton slice, and the vegetable platter—all outstanding in taste and texture. The Iberico shimofuri was a little on the chewy side, but still flavorful. I also really enjoyed the wagyu flap slice, which helped refresh the palate after the richness of the fattier cuts. Service was another highlight. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and quick to offer recommendations. Our water glasses were never empty, and the timing between courses felt just right. Prices are on the premium side, but for the quality and variety you get, it feels absolutely worth it. Overall, Itadaki is a gem in Seattle’s dining scene. Whether you’re a sushi lover or a wagyu enthusiast, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Date of Visit: 09/27/2025 🥩

Came here bc they used to have an incredible wagyu burger lunch special, BUT THEY ABRUPTLY DISCONTINUED THAT :( There used to be a $16 wagyu burger + fries from 11am-2pm but seems like that was just an opening special. Atmosphere: Nice, but not necessarily special at their price point. They also do not have any dessert or bday specials. Not sure I would come back for any special events. :/ Service: Good! Very nice & patient staff. Food: - Overall: not the best place for sharing dishes, but that’s on me for lack of research. Sunday afternoon, only about 3-4 small groups of ppl there. - chicken karaage: $13.95. Tender chicken + perfect batter. Although I have had similar at other places in Bellevue for better price & quantity. - wagyu volcano: $29.95. I enjoyed this dish! Flavorful, decent amount of wagyu. - atlantic salmon & mentaiko spaghetti: $28.95. Good portion of salmon. However, I personally did not think flavor was that enticing. - wagyu short rib course & bbq course: ~$45 per set. Quality of meat is good, but amount is ridiculously small. Presentation is very nice.

I recently dined at Itadaki, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant, calming, and beautifully designed — perfect for a special night out or anyone who appreciates a refined dining environment. The food was outstanding, crafted with care and full of rich, balanced flavors. Every dish felt thoughtful and elevated. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality absolutely justifies the cost — it’s one of those places where you truly get what you pay for. A special shout-out to our server, Jim, who made the experience even better. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on and he took great care of us throughout the evening. Overall, Itadaki is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for top-tier Japanese steakhouse cuisine in a stunning setting. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here four times now, and will keep coming back! Meat quality is top notch, service is attentive, and atmosphere just sets the mood for a great meal. I particularly love their beef tongue, uni / ikura don, and oysters, although I’ve found most menu items to be worth trying. They know what they’re doing for their medley of flavours. It’s also my go to spot for a quick work lunch too now.

Google
The service is amazing. The restaurant itself is very quiet, which you can feel a little awkward if you want to have conversation. The food is very expensive, and very small portions, but it is delicious. I know that Japanese A5 wagyu is supposed to be expensive, but everything on the menu is extremely expensive. Most of it was worth it, but I was surprised when the $18 zucchini side was only 8 small slices.

2nd update: Have been here couple of times already. Both the food and service never disappoint. Thank you Jim again for the wonderful service! We celebrated our wedding anniversary here with my friends. Boy, this is a different level of service for an upscale Japanese BBQ. The sever Jim who was professional trained was extremely skilled and attentive. We were back 2nd time, had another quality and special dishes. Just ask for tap water if you don’t want to spend $10 bottle water. Food, service and design are the three trinity holy grail and they have all three of them. A real special treat!!

Not many options for vegetarians; the Vegan Kamameshi was ok - a bit bland. The Lemon Yuzu Cold Inaniwa Noodles were very good - beautiful presentation and great flavor. The Rosly Sparkle was tasty. I can’t speak personally for the other dishes but my boyfriend enjoyed the Wagyu Filet Cube, the Angus Skirt & Chicken Kamameshi. He didn’t have the best of luck with the martinis - he ordered regular martinis and the first one was more of a lemon drop and the second one came out and was very vermouth heavy. The decor/vibes are beautiful. We had a large party separated into two tables, it took almost 3 hours.

Yelp
Ladies who lunch. I have a group of friends that get together and share a meal and share our lives. This is a great place to do that. Everyone was impressed. Food: 5 Stars Atmosphere: 5 stars Service: 5 Stars This restaurant has lunch specials that are amazing! There are multiple things you can order, but the cheese burger is my favorite. It is juicy and has a caramelized pepper butter that gives it a unique flavor. We will be having a working lunch here today as my coworkers really want to try it out. I will be trying the peanut butter burger. Their lunch specials are from 11:00-2:30. I have not been here for dinner, but expect it is amazing as well. The bathrooms are impressive. My only complaint is that you need to watch your knees when you sit down at some tables. The grill mechanism fill some of the space between the wall and the grill and have hard corners. If you are aware of it should not be a problem. I will definitely be back and recommend you try it as well.

Yelp
One star for beautiful interior, because other than that, I don't really know what this place is trying to be? Came here for lunch on Valentine's Day. We were the first group to arrive, and sat down while the restaurant was empty. There were 4 of us but only 2 table settings were on the table. And it stayed that way all the way until AFTER our food arrived. No plates, no bowls, no spoons. We had to try very hard to wave people down to give us utensils, plates and bowls so we could start eating. Staff number was sufficient but it seemed like everyone was busy with not being attentive to the customers. Our waiter didn't write down our order as we were telling him, and had to come back to check and ask us to repeat our order. I get that you're trying to achieve a fancy vibe here by doing that, but if you can't memorize and do it correctly - maybe you should have a notepad with you while taking down orders? Our calamari arrived crispy but lukewarm/cold. Clam miso soup had 0% miso flavor, and the clams surprisingly had no clam flavors either. Tastelss was the best word for it all. I felt like I was eating a cream of mushroom soup but the texture was watery. Even though they took that miso soup off our bill, people still deserve to know what they're getting - because miso soup it was not. Lastly, there was NO sight of chopsticks anywhere. At a Japanese restaurant!! We ordered noodle soup and rice - it was very weird to only have forks to eat with and it was something I really did not appreciate.

Yelp
Opened 6 months ago. As of Feb 5, 2025- no more tasting menu. Dinner is now a la carte with half the items of tasting menu available. Food- some food were home runs, others were good, but not amazing. All shareable except for noted * single serving. I creating my own tasting menu ~$150/pp 1. Oysters- 4 total, 2 flavors. The one with the jello and bonito flavor was magical. Eat that one second. $18 2. Wagyu tartar- super tender meat, but lacked flavor and on plain baguette, felt like I was wasting calories that night. $28 3. Quinoa Warm Salad- I really enjoyed! Lots of textures and variety. Something I could eat for lunch! $20 4. *Japanese A5 Wagyu and uni sushi- one bite! That was devine! $28 5. *Japanese A5 Wagyu silk yaki- single serving for one person. This was also devine $38. 6. Wagyu Collete steak, some grills it for you at the table, comes with a basil, fish sauce and lime sauce. That was good, tender and flavorful $50. 7. Wagyu rib cube- skip. Thought it chewy. $18. 8. Angus skirt. Well seasoned! I would get again $18 9. Lemon Yuzu cold inaniwa udon, so light, refreshing, palate cleanser between, and beautiful with the dry ice. I really enjoyed $10 10. Wagyu tallow rice with black truffle. Flavors were very mild. Nice filler at the end, but I totally could have skipped. $30. 11. Sake rice ice cream with popped rice- just okay for me. $9 I was very full after all these! Had small Bowl of leftover wagyu rice. Ambiance- beautiful sleek Japanese design/inspired. Totally something you can find in Vegas! They have these fake bamboo along street side so it feels like you're isolated in this experience. Seating is spacious. Even their water glasses- specially made in Japan- with my Fiji reversed etched(?) into bottom of glass. Available for purchase. Service- has potential! They are striving for high end, and it's getting there. They change out the grill between meats (seemed a little excessive). It feels like a chapter from Hulu The Bear. It was our anniversary and nothing special was done ( I am spoiled by other restaurants by writing a note on our dessert, or a special bite of some sort). Parking- garage behind men's wearhouse. Validation available, bring your ticket. Value- reasonable if you're mentally expecting to spend that dollar. Recommend: yes!! I can't wait to go back to try their lunch menu.

Yelp
This is a Chinese, not Japanese, owned and operated restaurant by the same people who own Niku Feast in Asian Family Market on Aurora. While that place is a disaster, I'm happy to report that the service and food quality here is worth a premium price. We came early in the evening 3 days after they changed their menu from the previous set course menu so you just order what you want. It's expensive, but great care is given to the presentation and the food quality is excellent. In fact I'd rate it higher than Ascend on both counts with Ascend only offering a superior view for twice the price. Plan to pay at least $150 a person for dinner, so it's more of a special occasion place. Japanese natives expecting Japanese staff will be greatly disappointed, especially since this is really just a super expensive yakiniku. However it's far superior to the comically Chinese Minamoto restaurant in downtown Bellevue. For me it's a nice alternative to John Howie or Daniel's Broiler for an expensive, but slightly lesser price. For those who remember Ishoni in Bellevue, it's not that good or cheap, but it beats going to Seattle. You'd feel comfortable here in formal attire or casual much like John Howie.

Yelp
I didn't have super high expectations as I figured it would be another nice restaurant with okay food... but I was definitely wrong. Every bite was to die for! Food: both presentation and taste were 5/5. Each dish was well balanced and the set course left me so full. Its a bit pricey (normal Bellevue nice restaurant price) but worth every penny Service: 5/5 the staff was very attentive during the full meal. They also recommended cocktail and wine to pair with each dish. We even stayed a little longer past closing to finish our dishes and did not feel rushed They are still new but would recommend making reservations and expect to be there 2-3 hours for the set course

Yelp
A great place for the ambiance and extravagance. However the kitchen really needs some work. Six of us stopped by Monday for lunch and it was easy to walk in. The restaurant is elegant and luxurious. Very spacious, classy, and full of extravagant details. The cups are super cool and fancy with Mt Fuji at its base, the hardware are adorned with gold coloring, and the plates are heavy and look super fancy. It's a great place for a business meal or even a date. Conversations are easy to have. Unfortunately the food was very hit or miss. We tried a variety of lunch menu dishes but ran into a lot of issues with our order and it's very apparent the kitchen is extremely disorganized. One order got completely missed, one order came out wrong (fried squid instead of chicken Karaage) and we had to adjust our order later when they came back to say burgers were sold out. No order came out together - actually they were more than 40 minutes apart and if we did not share food it would have been very awkward waiting for each other's food. The gyukatsudon - everything was good minus the main dish (gyu katsu). The beef unfortunately was overdone and tasted like it had been boiled. The chicken karaage had a strange gamey taste to it. The spaghetti carbonara was delicious and well done. El dente and just the right balance of sauce. The meat lunch special was also decent if you want to try the meat before committing to their full dinner. The wait staff was phenomenal. We really liked our waiter and he alone made us rate this a 4 instead of a 3. He did his best with the kitchen backup and handled our table very well. He felt really bad and offered some drinks on the house though we declined. We instead enjoyed a cake together that we brought to celebrate my wife's birthday which was very nice. The bathroom is very clean and adorned with notes of elegance like some Joe Malone lotion. This means the kitchen is very clean too. Parking is easy in the building. They validate parking. All in all, we rated this a 4 (truly a 3.5) because we enjoyed our time there and had good company. There was no rush to push us out and it was such a pleasant place to enjoy lunch. However the kitchen really needs to figure it out. It was one of the worst displays of kitchen coordination I've ever experienced as a customer of any restaurant and that says something. For a restaurant of this caliber you'd expect way better. Hopefully they figure it out soon.

Yelp
Tldr: For 150/person, service needs improvement and while some dishes were good but most were bland or did not make sense cohesively. Dimmed interior, with grill at each table, beautiful presentation -- good for date/special occasion. Seasonal rotating menu but a la carte options at lunch coming soon. Service: They just opened 4 months ago but I feel they could improve greatly with the pacing and introducing dishes (2 hour course). I couldn't hear some of the dish introductions and some had difficulty preparing some first course meats. During the 5 meats course, I felt rushed trying to finish each one as they were cooking 1-2 at a time back to back. Food: (8 course) 1. Tide & Terra * oyster fresh, not briny, clear sauce paired well * wagyu tartare - meat good but the crust was too overpowering and a little drying, it's giving artificial pastry aftertaste. 2. Scallop in A5 Wagyu & Shia Leaf * melt in mouth meat and scallop, lemony first bite that becomes pleasant savory -- paired well! 3. Trio * Chawanmushi - super soft steamed egg, good but basic taste flavor wise leaning more soy sauce & miso taste * Spring roll - spicy sauce tasted like dorito curry hotness - not good and didn't make sense on the menu * Chicken broth - light, slightly salty, herbal soup aftertaste 4. Meat course (5) Wish they had some seasonings on the side (like flaky salt) to add to taste. A lot of cuts were really bland and underwhelming for a main course. The pickled side dishes were yummy, good break from meat. * Lean beef tongue - too salty too chewy * Beef tongue - less flavor, tender chew though * Australian m9 wagyu - tender, great flavor with melt in mouth texture * Filet mignon - not a lot of flavor American wagyu ribeye - tender, paired well with butter * Australian skirt - tastes like kbbq rib galbi 6. Japanese A5 Wagyu with egg yolk & rice * good texture and egg yolk good pair * bland to me and too similar to the second dish (getting full a this point) 7. Yuzu Lemon Udon (cold) * thin noodle & very refreshing and light, the yuzu broth opened my appetite - bright and light flavors 8. 2 desserts Lemon mousse w jelly and red bean * it's ok, creative idea, mid execution -- could be crowd fav though Ice cream: rice, brown sugar & cooked sake * like ricey mousse nougat (think 3 musketeers filling) airy but sandy. * Experimental, not personal fav but appreciate it Drink: Million Dollar Baby * sweet with egg white foam! not the best pair with the courses but standalone was 8/10 Would revisit for (1) oyster (2) Ikura wagyu/scallop and (7) Yuzu Udon but I hope it grows into its own and comes back with a stronger menu!

Yelp
I've been here for lunch twice now and the waygu burger special for 9.99 is so hard to beat. You get a double patty smash burger and fries! We also shared the beef waygu special for 39.99. Good for sharing, says it serves two but if you order other dishes it can stretch to more people if you're looking for a couple bites. Service is friendly and attentive, they are still new so the food came out slower as it was the lunch rush but they were overall informative and friendly. Upscale Japanese steakhouse with great lunch special and prices for Bellevue, I will be back!

Yelp
We came here on Valentine's Day and they had special set menu with option to upgrade items. Food came out very slow between each items and service was also slow. We waited almost 20 mins for desserts! For the price, food was ok. We also didn't like how the bill was itemized ( very confusing)and tip was charged, instead of 20% tip we were charged 37% !! Definitely will not going back.

Yelp
I went last fall when Itadaki Yakiniku was still in their Soft Opening. Overall, I found the service too slow, which I can get over given the soft opening, but a few of the dishes were not tasty at all, even without considering its large price tag. If you look at the photos, you'll see nicely plated dishes and high quality marbled meats. Starting with the first dishes - the oyster was not bad, but the tartare dish was awful. The beef itself was ok, but the piece of bread it was on was basically a cookie, so sweet and fatty. It was like eating a dessert with raw meat on top. Next was the "Opulent Bite", a piece of seared scallops nigiri wrapped in a cooked piece of A5. Flavor and texture-wise this was not good. The fishiness of the scallop+ikura and the meatiness of the A5, as well was the coldness of the seafood and the warmth of the A5 went very poorly together. It's unfortunate because the individual components are high quality but not enough thought went into its pairing, ruining both. You then get some small bites in a chawanmushi, soup, and spring roll. Nothing to write home about. Finally we get to the core of the meal, the meats. These are tasty, and I expect it to be for $150 a person. Execution risk here is low given its A5 Yakiniku. However rice is not included to eat with the meat - we ordered some to enjoy the meat fully and was charged for it, though I expected as such and the rice is good quality. At this price I expect rice to be included. There's also the A5 dipped in an egg yolk with truffle sauce rice - this is quite good, I don't always love truffle especially if it's just thrown in somewhere without care, but it worked and was tasty. Finally there's the cold udon dish in a yuzu dashi broth, and dessert. Both were yummy here, I enjoyed the chew of the noodle and the umami broth, and each dessert component was tasty. Overall I wouldn't return given: - Poor use of ingredients and their flavors resulting in a few dishes that were outright poor, irregardless of price - It took nearly 3 hours - Price does not meet quality

Yelp
Had the most lovely server/grill master. She truly made our night special on New Year's Eve and even cut our eating time down for us. Usually, it was a 2 hour meal, but she cut it down to 1 hour and 30 mins. We loved her bright energy and hope to see her again soon. :) This place used to be where Coco was, but now is a prefixed 8-course yakiniku restaurant. There is a parking garage at Bellevue connection so make sure to ask for parking validation before you leave. The overall cost was $150/person, but each course that we had complemented each other well. It the perfect dinner spot for any type of special occasion. Make sure to reserve a spot on OpenTable. We also ordered cocktails there which I got the million dollar baby. They have a rotating menu every season and will be sure to come back to try it.

Yelp
This review is only for their weekday lunch menu. Peanut Butter 1/2lb Wagyu Cheese Burger & Fries: The wagyu patty was very tender and buttery smooth. The peanut butter sauce added an interesting flavor to the burger. However, the peanut butter was pretty dry and there wasn't another sauce/ingredient moist enough to balance it out. Our server was very attentive. The atmosphere inside was lovely.

Yelp
A wonderful experience! There's only the set menu of 8 wagyu beef courses was fun and delicious. The servers made the experience even better since they were very attentive and friendly. The flavors were sometimes a bit sweeter but it's Bellevue so we weren't too surprised by it. This is a special occasion place and we'd recommend it to anyone who likes beef. The menu changes seasonally so you can try every season!

Yelp
Reservation: via open table, credit card required, $75pp if not cancel 24hour prior Restaurant: pretty spacious, kinda makes it looks empty. Parking: street parking or Bellevue collection parking garage free with validation , then go up elevator. If you want boba, there's the new Don't Yell At Me boba new spot right on front of the restaurant. Restroom: men and women restrooms - clean, has their own printed towels, jo Malone diffuser. Service: friendly and knowledgeable We ordered: Fall/Winter menu 8 course meal$150 with cocktail pairing $75 Bottle water $10 Tap water : free You can enjoy your company while they cook the meat for you on their smokeless bbq grill. Lots of their sides uses plum. Their cocktail pairing drink are more in glass size and stronger. So you might want to have some carb filled before you arrive. The first few courses were pretty light dishes, so if you are not normally a heavy drinker, those cocktail will go straight to your system. My favorite part of all the courses were: Opulent Bites - sashimi scallop wrapped with wagyu Citrus harmony - light freshing citrus cold somen noddle Golden Velvet - a5 wagyu with yolk over rice Sweet Serenade - dessert. It was quiet fulfilling meal. This is more a one time thing for me, it is good, but it's not a super wow. Overall is wonderful. No regret.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place, and it was an amazing experience! The ambiance was great, the ingredients were top-notch and incredibly fresh, and the service was excellent. Every dish had its own unique charm, and everything was absolutely delicious in its own way. I highly recommend the beef tongue, duck salad, and anything with sea urchin... oh, and anything with Wagyu! The only downside was that there weren't enough dessert options--if there were more, it would have been perfect.

Yelp
A really nice spot! We went here for lunch and their burger deals don't get any better. I almost don't want to mention and keep it to myself. Their Wagyu burger deal with fries comes to 9.99! Although I will mention our fries were oddly cold. I'm sure they would have offered us another batch but we didn't mention it. They've got a couple other burger options too. They also have a lunch combo for grilling deal. Service was great. Staff was attentive. It's a bit harder to get a reservation for the evening and we walked in for lunch with no problem.

Yelp
new restaurant in bellevue. parked in the garage. minimalistic and simple interior. went for dinner so got the omakese set, no a la carte options. each dish was unique and server cooked the meats for you. loved the 5th course with all the meats in the case.

Yelp
Amazing 8 course set of wagyu beef! This restaurant is beautiful and modern with excellent quality beef. Each table gets their own server and dedicated person to grill the meats to perfection. Service was excellent with new sets of chopsticks/cutlery brought out for each course (which honestly is a bit excessive). The beef was excellent quality, not all were Japanese A5 wagyu. Some of the cuts were American wagyu but in my opinion they were just as good. There were two different types of beef tongue which were really good. I don't typically like beef tongue but these were an excellent texture and good beefy flavor. The non-beef courses were also quite good and paired well with the other courses. I particularly like the cold, thin udon noodles at the end right before dessert which was very refreshing. Reservations can be made via OpenTable. Don't forget to ask for parking validation!

Yelp
I really had high hopes for Itadaki Yakiniku but this was a very bad first impression. I usually do not leave reviews after a first visit, as I like to see consistency and give establishments a chance to win me over or not. This experience inspired me to break from that norm and to leave a review after my first visit. The one good thing about this place is the ambiance. Modern upscale decor that has subtle Japanese/Asian touches, something one would expect in a Bellevue area restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. The service needs some work. When we first walked in for our lunch reservation there was at least a dozen people waiting. There was no host or hostess to be found and it took around 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to acknowledge the crowd. We were thankful that we had made reservations and I recommend it to anyone considering trying this place. Once seated, we were greeted promptly. We did not take long to decide what we wanted, as we knew about their Burger Lunch Specials. We wanted to try their Wagyu Burgers with fries because we have seen them advertised all over social media. After placing our order our server came back a few minutes later to let us know they were out of Wagyu Burgers, but all other Wagyu menu options were still available. This was frustrating and should have been enough to make us leave to come back another day, but we came with friends who were able to successfully place their orders. The items we ordered were presented well. The Wagyu Dandan Noodles were flavorful and were a decent portion. Unfortunately, the Wagyu Gyu-katsu Rice dish was unsuccessful. The Wagyu Gyu-Katsu was overdone and the rice was dry. From my experience Wagyu is normally served more on the medium rare side and contains a decent amount of pink in the center of the meat. This meat had a nice light breading but was overfried. The meat was well-done and ended up being slightly tough, which Wagyu is not meant to be. Our friends ordered seafood and veggie yakiniku options because they do not eat meat. Their meals should have come with rice, but they waited over 20 minutes for it to arrive. Once the rice did arrive, it was their beef tallow rice. The server proceeded to tell our table that they were now out of rice and they would not be charged for the beef tallow rice. How do you run out of rice in a Japanese restaurant!? Overall it was a disappointing experience that I hope was a one-off. I truly hope this business manages to be successful and becomes a staple within the Downtown Bellevue area, as so many restaurants have disappeared over recent years. I hope this review doesn't keep people from trying Itadaki Yakiniku, but instead finds someone who can correct and learn from my poor experience.

Yelp
We just had the most wonderful dinner at Itadaki yikaniku. This is a very unique place as it combines yakiniku (Japanese barbecue) with omakase concepts. They they just opened last weekend and are still in their soft opening phase taking only about 50% seating capacity. However, unlike many other soft openings we have been to, these guys were already hitting it out of the park. Every dish was wonderfully delicious, the staff very attentive, and the presentation of all the dishes was beautiful too. We went with several friends and we all felt the same way. Oh, I should also mention the restaurant decor is both very earthy and elegant at the same time. The ladies were also very impressed with the dishware, which was a combination of Japanese, Chinese and Western plates. As for the Omakase meal, it's a seasonally rotating menu consisting of eight courses. Many of the course featured various high grades of Wagyu beef from the US and Australia. I'll post the menu pages here as pictures rather than describe each dish, and you can see for yourself what we had. We loved everything and no way to pick a single favorite, so here are the top ones: the tongue toro, the chawamushi, the 8 hr chicken soup, the rib eye, the filet, the skirt steak and the velvet beef and rice. This is a long leisurely meal experience best for special occasions. Each table having an assigned lead waiter and a "cook" who does all the grilling for you. When they get fully staffed, meal time should be 2.5 to 3 hrs. Our was close to 4 hrs., as they were training as they went and not fully staffed yet (perfectly fine for a soft opening). They have large tables that seat a max of 5, and smaller tables too. We had 8 in our group, and were split across 2 large tables. (Tables cannot be pushed together, due to the pipes and wires for the table grill). I highly recommend Itadaki; easily a 5 star rating. Visit, sooner than later, as I suspect this will be one of those places that will be had to get a reservation for in the future.

Yelp
Overall service, speed of serving, and food quality, I think this restaurant deserves five stars. The front desk was very polite and courteous. Although we didn't have a reservation, they quickly arranged a table for us even though they were about 80% full. During the casual conversation with us, the waitstaff was excellent in both food and wine recommendations. They really understood the menu and helped us order according to our preferences. After we ordered, the dishes started coming out in about 15 minutes. Although this is a BBQ restaurant, their sushi offerings are also very delicious and will definitely be one of my must-order items every time I visit. As for the meat, the quality is excellent, no need to say more. I will definitely come back often to enjoy the food here whenever I get the chance. It was a wonderful experience.

Yelp
This is not your typical Japanese BBQ. Yes, it's expensive but I look at it as more of an experience rather than a meal. Everything (mostly) we had was super delicious. The meats were beyond amazing and the service was great. There's no a la carte option and it's only a prefixed menu. 8 courses that were all beautifully presented with super high quality ingredients. Not someplace I would frequent but definitely somewhere I'd consider for a special occasion. I particularly enjoyed the sushi and the Japanese Wagyu.

Yelp
I did not know what to expect coming here. When I hear "yakiniku" my mind goes to hole-in-the-wall establishments with just massive amounts of great meat, busy vibe, and cheap meals. This was...not that. The menu is set. Each dish introduced and served on its own, no overlap. The meat is cooked by the server, you just...sit back and relax. Service was impeccable. Discrete but attentive. We had some nice conversations with the server for the "longer cook", and got a good introduction to the ins and outs of the place. Always nice to get a peek behind the curtain so to speak. Since this was a workday dinner we did not go for any wine or cocktail pairing, but the cocktails we did get were really good. I've had the Bambu at Bar High Five in Tokyo, and the same one here was flavor and balance-wise on par even if it lacked the amazing ice to go with it... Ambience is nice, the background music is just that - in the background - and you don't overhear other patrons talking. Portion sizes were just right. Every dish looks small, but by the end of the meal you're full but not stuffed. I'll be coming back for sure!

Yelp
Service was good... I went there for lunch on a Friday. The wait was about 20 mins. Not terrible. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Wait staff was efficient but a bit short handed. The burger was not bad. Hope it was hotter. It was warm. I'd prefer piping hot patties. Fries were warm but not hot. The bottom line is that you can't find any 10 buck burger anywhere in Bellevue that can outshine that. If youd prefer piping hot burger and fries, this may not be your spot.

Yelp
Oh man... I'm Japanese and the food here is like an insult to our culture. This is not authentic at all... the spring roll? I'm pretty sure the owner/chef must be Chinese because a Japanese yakiniku restaurant would never serve a spring roll. Like, really?? The decor was nice and modern, but I just felt confused the whole time during dinner since this place just isn't Japanese.... and I start to question where this "wagyu" actually came from. Even the name of the restaurant (in Japanese) sounds like a joke... save your money and eat somewhere else.

Yelp
Good service, but overpriced food. No ketchup for fries. Happy hour's Waygu burger tasted so-so.

Yelp
Where do I start? I'm just so happy such a great place opened in the Bellevue area. We had a great time here and already planning to come back. Food is amazing , environment is pretty , service was on point. $150 pp is reasonable for such an experience. I've been to some omakase places in the area and each time was at least $200 pp but I prefer my experience here more. Plus it's not that hard to get a reservation ( as a customer, I really do not enjoying fight for spot at midnight) Keep up with the good work and high standards itadaki and we will be back soon

Yelp
I was very excited to come here as we don't really have many higher end yakiniku places in the greater seattle area. However the experience as a whole was not worth the price. It's a set menu of 8 courses and for the two of us, this ended up being almost $400. I'm always happy to pay the price for a great experience but this took us over 3 hours. With about 20+ minutes between each course where we were sat there twiddling our thumbs waiting for the next course. I would classify this place as an Americans introduction to yakiniku. It's definitely catered towards a little bit more of a western palette especially with the garlic butter, spring salad, and crispy spring roll. I found many of the courses to just be thrown together to seem fancy but there wasn't a great balance of flavors and it didn't feel intentional. For example the first course was a uni beef tartare but the breading on the bottom was so sweet and cookie like that I could barely taste anything else. The nigiri piece mixed warm meat with very cold scallop and the flavor of the ikura was overpowering the natural flavors of the meat. Overall the quality of meats was good, which it better be at +$150/pp but for that high of a price point, the dishes needed to be intentional and the service needed to be much faster. I was barely able to enjoy the meal as I spent over 2 hours just waiting for the next dish to come in a half full restaurant

Yelp
Was so excited to try this place out seeing their advertisement for their lunch special wagyu burgers. Very nice looking place. However, hostess let us know there will be a 20-30 minute wait on the burgers if we came here for that. I told her yes we did come for that and 20-30 minute wait is no problem! They sat us down and waiter told us he does not recommend we order the burger since it's a long wait. I told him the hostess already gave us a warning and it will be ok. He said he's going to check with the kitchen just to make sure. He then came back and did it's going to be close to an hour and that we might not get it at all so just go over the nine for our other options?! Rarely happens, but just walked out after this. Kind of sad. If they advertise so much about their specials, I think they should at least have the product they advertise.

Yelp
They have great deals for lunch! Highly recommend their Wagyu burger of this Peanut butter cheese burger. We originally went there for their $9.99 Wagyu burger for lunch, but saw this peanut butter cheese burger on the lunch menu too and were curious to try it. The manager told us it's Taiwanese thing, and it's sweet and savory. I'm glad we tried it! It was delicious! I went back for the 2nd time in the same week to try the different dish from their lunch menu. I tried their chashu miso carbonara as it sounded delicious when I first visited there. Compared to the burger, this was a little underwhelming, both presentation and taste. It was salty and the portion size was small. If I go there again, I'd definitely get the burger, it's the best deal and super delicious! As it's a new establishment, the inside is so clean and I love the aesthetic of it. The plate and glassware they use are unique and beautiful.

Yelp
Food was good, move to a la carte menu made service slow. Also ran out of steak tar tar which I'm not sure how that is possible given the main food item at the restaurant is steak.

Yelp
Ambiance - I like the decor a lot...major step up from the old TapHouse Grill. Spacious, comfortable relaxed feeling. Service - at first I was a little annoyed because it took more than a few minutes for the person at the front desk to acknowledge me. He was spending his time poking on the computer and didn't even look up to greet me or inform me that he will be right with me while he finish what he was doing in the computer. Then when he finally looked up, he stumble on his words and didn't know what to say to me. Not very professional. Finally when we got seated, it took more than 5 minutes for someone to come up to take our order or give us water. Staff just kept walking past us purposely not making eye contact. However, we finally got a friendly and attentive server but the rest of the staff seem unhappy and unfriendly. Food - Definitely a great deal for the waygu burger which was the reason we came to check out this place. We also got the waygu Dan Dan noodles. Flavorful sauce but on a little on the salty side for me. I was not a fan of the smoked egg. Also, the only hot sauce they offer was also not spicy and tasted more like bbq sauce (smoky too).

Yelp
We were excited to come here to celebrate New Year's Eve. The food was good but the time in between courses was way too long. The 8-course meal took nearly three hours overall. At $150/per person we felt like each course should have been served one after the other and paced better. Also, the amount of food for the price was not a lot. The presentation was very pretty and the staff kind--but we likely won't go back.

Yelp
Don't try this place if you're on a budget. 8 course meal for about $200 per person after tax and tip. Dining here you'll be treated like an exclusive vip guest. The experience you get out of this meal is worth every penny you pay. Everyone is very attentive and fun to converse with. As for the food, it didn't meet my high expectations but the presentation was there. Everything seems fresh and high quality but the flavors didn't match my palette. Nothing was bad but it's wasn't a, "wow this is sooo good" moment. I must say, their course #2 and #6 was definitely my favorite. But the dessert on the other hand needs a bit of work. The setting of the restaurant is very dimly lit, perfect place for a dinner date or an important business meeting with how spacious the tables are. A formal attire will be more appropriate to dine here if you decide to stop by.

Yelp
This is a new restaurant in Bellevue, and i had been looking forward to our visit. From the time you walk in the door till the time you leave you know this place is special. Gorgeous set up beautiful interior and great seating booths. The concept new to this area is a Price Fixe which is all the courses are included. This restaurants serves an eight course meal with wine and cocktail pairings available. Our server team was lead by John and he had 3 others on his team. The courses all were incredibly prepared and presented. Sunday night was a little less busy so we were able to talk to each member of the team as dishes were prepared and presented. It was an awesome evening with incredible food and presentations. If you get the chance / opportunity to go please do. you will not be dissapointed.

Yelp
We had such a wonderful time. When our prior plans fell through, they were able to take our reservation last minute and they were so gracious despite the fact that they were preparing to close up for the night. Each course had a beautiful and unique setting, the menu was very well thought out, and the flavors were delicate and delicious. We really liked the ambiance and design of the interior as it was modern, yet tranquil. Lastly, the service was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive (thanks to Jim and the staff for saving my wife's birthday!). Given the variety of dishes and the white glove service over the course of 2-3 hrs, it was honestly not a bad value at $150pp. We're excited to come back to try their next iteration of the menu!

Yelp
This is an Itadaki (pinnacle) of Japanese beef BBQ (Yaki). The setting is very muji Japanese style. My first attention to water glass that shows a Fujisan shape at the bottom. I heard they just soft open but staffs are trained working together well. 8 courses are served in Keiseki style with table side bbq service and plated in unique dishes. Although the wagu might be not all from Japan, but the quality and aging process are very good. The meat is very tender but not too fatty, just perfect. With extremely attractive to service and details, this wagu yakiniku costs $150 actually pretty reasonably priced. My best yakiniku experience in US.

Yelp
You no longer need to travel to Japan for an authentic, high-end dinning experience, the place can satisfy you in every aspects of food desires. It's slightly above your budget but believe me you're every penny worth it.

Yelp
Went for lunch. Great ambiance. Had the burger, which was delicious and an incredible price, which is what drew me in in the first place. Had some difficulty getting the attention of the server on multiple occasions, but overall a great experience and I plan to come back soon!

Yelp
I read the reviews and saw that the service could be slow, it's 3 hours and expensive. All true BUT amazing ! The service only slowed down between the 7th and 8th course and they apologized. Otherwise the meal was paced beautifully. Our server Sean was so personable and we truly enjoyed the conversations as he grilled. The space has a wonderful ambiance and the parking garage is spacious and convenient (it's just south of the restaurant) and validated! The presentation was beautiful and everything we ate was delicious. It reminds me of Takai by Kashiba. Similar price point, no menu, long dinner service and the same thought that after our first course we'd still be hungry later. Not true in either restaurant. We were full but not stuffed. Bill was $350 and we only had bottled water $10 and hot tea $8. Overall a great experience and food! Highly recommend as well as their Nikko Feast restaurant in north Seattle. These guys just know how to grill meat!

Yelp
The food was perfection, the service outstanding and the ambiance is lovely. No complaints and we cannot wait to return. Finally a place that's comparable to our favorite upscale yakiniku places in Tokyo, our 2nd home.

Yelp
There are 8 courses and I love all of them. All cuts of premium beef were cooked to perfection. I love their beef tongue and waygu slice over scallop. Appetizers, salad and cold noodles are nice compliments to the meat. Desserts were presented delicately on top of beautiful boxes and tasted very good, especially the rice ice cream. Service is attentive and efficient. Ambiences are modern and comfortable. A fine dining experience that is highly recommended for special occasions!

Yelp
I like the idea of service there, they do everything for you. All you need to do is focus on eating and experiencing.

Yelp
Great drink and sake selection. Very kind staff. Most of the meats were flavorful and tender. The sake ice cream was tasty. Presentation is super pretty. Some of the dishes were a little underwhelming, but good quality overall.

Yan Yi K.

Yelp
Amazing ambiance. Staffs are extremely nice and friendly. They are still learning and training so wait time can be a little longer than normal. But overall, food are amazing. We enjoyed all the dishes we tried. Presentation is 10 food quality is 10. Highly recommended to try !

Yelp
I don't think I've given 5 stars to a place I'd prob not go back to. But this place is very classy, which just isn't my scene. The food was great. Most of what they were serving went way over my head. Lots of new words, that, lets be honest, I'll never look up. In terms of meat, I pooped 3x before breakfast the following day. Wife says only once. So within line of what I expect from a high end meat place. We went for the 150$ 8 course fixed price menu. Presentation and service were great. It was her birthday and they went out of their way to show off for her. Would recommend.

Vicky W.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing presentation and food experience. I was cautiously optimistic upon arriving due to the overly stylized ambience (which usually suggests more glamor over taste) but I was so blown away by the unique experience and the superb food. I will be coming back and want to encourage folks to really give this a shot!

Yelp
After 10 days of road trip, our group of six reunion for dinner at this newly opened Japanese yakiniku restaurant and enjoyed a special evening. The service was impeccable, and each dish that came out surprised us. The fifth course featured six different cuts of wagyu beef, each with its own characteristics. To be able to taste such a variety of delicious beef in one meal was truly worth it. The service was excellent, especially the server who grilled our meat patiently, catering to each person's desired level of doneness. The dining experience lasted about 2 hours, and we felt that it was quite good. Each dish came with new utensils, showing great attention to detail. We will definitely come back. Thank you for managing the restaurant with care and bringing a new dining experience to Eastside.
