"What is a virtuoso Italian pastry chef — one who worked for Giorgio Locatelli, Marco Pierre White, Pierre Gagnaire, and Gordon Ramsay — doing at a tiny bakery cafe nestled alongside wellness stores and a co-work space on the outskirts of the budding La Veleta neighborhood? Living in paradise and staying far removed from the stress of Michelin-starred kitchens. Opened in 2018, Fabrizio Italdo’s boutique pasticceria uses 10-year-old and 25-year-old sourdough starters for items like a perfectly crusty concha made with French butter and a divine almond croissant filled with frangipane and crowned with flaked almond. Italdo also molds desserts into lifelike fantasies such as a creme anglaise cacao fruit and an intricately detailed vanilla bean made of vanilla cream frozen, dipped in chocolate, and quickly brushed during the shock of temperatures to create realistic wrinkles. The chef can even give a masterclass on drinking espresso while spooning portions of his mom’s tiramisu fashioned with cacao from Chiapas." - Bill Esparza
Great place for a cup of coffee. Service is a 10/10. The place is also very welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed the coffee but the food was below my expectations, eggs lacked salt and the ham Serrano was chewy, tried their carrot and plátano (banana) cake. They were way too dense and lacked flavor. For $50USD for two people it’s a bit high for food that lacked flavor.

Super nice staff and making everything possible out of the menu as well. They are glad to fulfill all your special orders.
Food is nice and delicious and carefully prepared.
The juices are must try. We loved the mandarin and passionfruit. Absolutely refreshing!
Coffee is also very delicious, mild and smooth.
Athmospehere is not the best as it is on the street side, but sunny which we like.

I would walk across the planet just to relive our dining experience here. Culinary genius, clean ingredients and everything done with perfection- somehow it was the best açaí bowl of my life and the potato and onion pizza was like my Nonnas -a life altering dining moment - we ate there three times throughout our five day stay- the fennel salad was so lite and fresh and like my moms

I will go again. I ordered first a Classic Croissant and a coffee. I also had the carrot juice and yogurt bowl with chia seeds, granola and fruits. Then ordered the slice of pizza to go. Yeah, I ordered a lot. Everything was delicious, service was exellent.

I absolutely adore everything at Italdo. The menu is never-ending, so I have only scratched the surface of what they have on offer. I can recommend the fresh bread - make sure you take a picture of the weekly bread schedule - especially the pan gallego. The bread is freshly baked and ready to buy at 7:30 am. Try their Italian-style pastries with a Mexican twist like the papaya saccottino or guava roll. For lunch their wagyu beef burger is a must. Thank you for your hard work and constant innovation Italdo team!

Very cute place ideally for breakfast or brunch. We heard good things about their sourdough so after our breakfast and coffee we asked for a loaf of it with a side of butter. Sit outside.

The service is courteous and I appreciated that. Both times I stopped by, I had my coffee prepared how I like it and the taste was wonderful. I also had two different snacks, a peanut butter cookie and a Madeline. Both nice. The seating isn't so great - it's either inside at a little bar facing the wall or outside on a patio by the street with all the heat/humidity. The bathroom was appalling and I was shocked at how run down and dirty it was. That needs to improve.
