Memorabilia from San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing Is on Display at the Smithsonian - Eater SF

"Though a misappropriation of the word 'speakeasy,' a new bar given the title will be used as a magnet to attract residents to downtown San Jose. The Mercury News reports 2 West Speakeasy will open on the basement floor of 2 West Santa Clara Street, an as-of-now empty office building." - Paolo Bicchieri

Google
A very cool location, very nice leather booths, yummy drinks well priced, and great history in the location. We were able to play a 100+ year old piano with the grandson of the original owner there, and the bartender played spoons with us and our kids, overall a great new place!! No food here, but poor house bistro, and littlest little Italy have good food near to here!

A friend and I wandered here after having dinner down the street and it did not disappoint! We were in the mood for dessert and when we saw they had fresh cannolis, we had to try one. Their cannoli is fresh, delicious, and they can tailor it based on what you’re looking for - chocolate chip, pistachio, or both. We didn’t order drinks this time around, but the drinks look really good too. Looking forward to trying a few next time! The vibe here is cozy, fun, and a great place to hang out. Our server did an outstanding job too. Highly recommend this place!

Little Italy San Jose’s Italian Cellar Speakeasy is festive but with a classier, mixed-age, low-key vibe, plenty of space and seating, it’s not loud or too crowded; it’s a great place for adults to meet up with friends for drinks and conversations. You can reserve the corner space, too and can order food from Poor House, Littlest Little Italy, or Henry’s and bring it in to the Speakeasy. Proceeds go to a good cause too- creating a cultural center to highlight the many contributions of Italian-Americans in Santa Clara Valley. Highly recommend!

Google
Really nice staff with great, reasonably priced cocktails. It’s got a relaxing feel to it and a great atmosphere for conversation. We talked to Josh and Antonio for a while and they were really nice and helpful.

Yelp
In the smallest Little Italy that ever existed (lol) is this small little Speakeasy that brings you back to a time when San Jose was THE Italian retirement ground. You get 'the feels' when stepping into the speakeasy after going down a series of steps. All around you are little glimpses into the rich Italian history of San Jose. All you need are eyes and a bit of curiosity to poke around. The drinks on the menu are exactly what you'd expect with a few surprises. Joshua makes a delicious cocktail. Be aware that it is a small place, so if it's busy, don't be in a rush to grab your drink until they get a few more hands.

Yelp
Cute small speakeasy. The Deets: + 100% of the profits go to the Italian Museum located on top of the speakeasy. AWESOME! - Steve, bartender at the time, poured a drink with flat soda water and hours old ice. Eek, beverage was not great. + Takes cash or card + You are able to bring food from Poor House or anywhere in surrounding area to consume while at bar. +/- Indoor and outdoor seating +/- Small mixed cocktail menu

Yelp
Stopped in here for a drink and it was quite enjoyable. I love visiting "speakeasy" bars because they have a nice calmness to them. Probably wasn't like that during the prohibition but they are relaxing to me during these times lol I should've gotten the bartenders name but she was lovely. She was so nice and answered any questions we had. I got the espresso martini and she did a damn good job. I love that the proceeds go to the upstairs museum because it just adds to the overall experience. Whoever was in charge of the decor did a magnificent job because I felt like I was transported from San Jose when I walked downstairs. Please visit here for the delicious drinks and to support the museum. A gem in San Jose

Yelp
This was my first time having a drink in this beautiful location. It has beautiful red booths, and old-school italian vibe and feels like it takes you back to the 20s. It's tucked in Little Italy in San Jose. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Josh. We ended up choosing to sit at the bar for a drink where La La served us. She gave some great suggestions for unique drinks and made me a killer dirty martini. Definitely check this place out on your next visit!!

Yelp
Super cool little bar right in the heart of Little Italy. Shares a courtyard with The Poor House. You go down a handful of stairs and voila! Bartender was super knowledgeable of the history here. These are historical houses now repurposed as restaurants, museum, & Bar. I tried the lemon aperitif and it was delicious. Definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
A must go to place for the best drinks! Their prohibition drink list is a must go to for some delicious beverages! But the service is A list the minute you walk in! Can't wait to go back for the annual Italian Festival

Yelp
We really like this place! The cellar felt so good in the hot weather yesterday! We had a couple glasses of wine but the speakeasy offers some amazing sounding specialty cocktails. We met the bartender, Steve, and he gave us the history of the place. We enjoyed learning about Little Italy and the speakeasy, which is a non-profit. We will be back. This is our third time to Little Italy and the first time we were there when the speakeasy was open. No secret code needed. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is a secret hide away. Never a line and the cocktails are great. I feel like this is a REAL secret
