First time dining at Italian Garden. We stopped by this place on a Saturday around 5:30. We got lucky and were seated at a table immediately. We were brought complimentary garlic rolls, and we ordered the garlic bread and the appetizer sampler. The rolls were very good! Soft, fresh, and delicious. And I appreciate that they came with butter. The garlic bread tasted great but was a bit on the dry side. If/when I go back I'd probably just stick with the rolls. The sampler was just OK. Fried mushrooms, zucchini, and mozzarella sticks. Not bad, just somewhat lacking in flavor. Next up was the soup. And my God, this soup was out-effing-standing. If I lived closer I'd be getting this for lunch on the daily. If you go to this restaraunt the soup is a must try. For my entree I got the chicken and shrimp in the white sauce with linguine. It was good, but didn't blow my socks off. The service was outstanding, there is literally nothing I could've done to improve on it. They kept our drinks full and even gave us to go cups when we left. Overall it was a very good experience and I would definitely come back.

The little restaurant packs a big punch! The service was wonderful but please know it is BYOB meaning while they don’t serve alcohol, you can bring your own wine with you. We were seated right away and enjoyed a good meal.

I definitely don’t recommend this restaurant to eat. Went with my daughter for lunch today and unfortunately the food wasn’t good it was disgusted the lunch menu comes with salad or soup. I asked for salad with ranch dressing, as you see in the video the lettuce was watered on the bottom of the bowl was alot of water that the dressing couldn’t mix; by the other hand the dressing taste was sticky nevertheless the fettuccine Alfredo tasted so artificial and sweet, very greasy like it was made with a can milk or powder milk very far at the original fettuccine alfredo it didn’t taste al parmesan cheese or any cheese at all. It was absolutely disgusting. I let the waitress know (an old lady) about the salad but she said “ you know we wash the lettuce in water and layered in water that the water that you see. I told her it would be nice if you drained the water from the lettuce before served and she said The lettuce were laid on water and she walk away, didn’t want to argue with her and didn’t want to said anything about the fettuccini Alfredo. We decided Do not come back again to eat even is close to us.

Food is really nice compared to big Italian food joints. It’s BYOB thats nice. Their chicken marsala and chicken alfredo is really good.

Google
Reasonably priced popular local eatery with ordinary Italian dishes loaded with lots of cheese. Our green salads had water in the bottom of the bowl. Service was fast, with unremarkable flavors.

This place was recommended to me by my barber. It was good, nothing fancy, but solid pasta. They have a lot of different options on their menu. The service was great, our waitress was patient with us and explained the menu well and made good recommendations. The food came out pretty quickly and the portions were big. The garlic bread they served was ok, they were a bit stale, they weren’t fresh.

Google
Great food, great service and very cute place! The prices are very fair and the food positions are great. We got the calamari and pizza for appetizers, along with three other meals. Everything was great. Also our server was wonderful! She was so kind, attentive and nice. Very happy we tried it out and will be back very soon!

Google
The food at Italian Garden is delicious! From the scratch-made rolls to the chicken aristocrat! I can totally see myself ordering here working local to the restaurant. Service was a little slow with a new server, but they worked hard to make up for the slow time and even gave us a complimentary dessert for the inconvenience. I can tell the owner(s) take great pride in the business by always being around in the dining area and serving themselves. I appreciated seeing them so involved. Will be back soon!

Yelp
Italian Garden is one of those rare hidden gems that totally surprises you, in the best way. From the outside, it's got that unassuming hole-in-the-wall look, but once you step inside, it's warm, cozy, and full of charm. You can tell it's a local favorite the second you walk in. I ordered the chicken parmesan and... wow. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, smothered in rich marinara, and topped with just the right amount of melty cheese. Served with perfectly cooked pasta and warm garlic bread, chef's kiss. You can taste the love in their food. This isn't mass-produced chain stuff; it's homemade-style goodness. The service was just as impressive. Super friendly staff who genuinely seemed to care that we had a good experience. They checked in just the right amount, offered recommendations, and made us feel completely welcome without hovering. Whether you're craving comfort food or just want a laid-back, delicious dinner spot that won't break the bank, Italian Garden is it. I'm already planning my next visit, and I'm bringing friends! This place has been here forever & I can tell why!

Yelp
This food was really good! Enjoyed everything, the Italian wedding soup, house salad, chicken Florentine, the chicken & asparagus pasta was also good. I loved the music, the service was also very good. So glad I found this place via tik tok

Yelp
The food was unfortunately underwhelming--nothing really stood out aside from the bread, which was decent. The atmosphere was extremely loud, making it hard to enjoy the experience. Staff seemed overwhelmed and rushed, which added to the overall chaotic vibe. I've had better, I've had worse.

Yelp
I never write reviews... especially never a bad one. This will be a hefty one but worth the read... service was horrible. Never experienced this bad of service before in my life. The waitress was so unbelievably rude to my friends that I had came with. She was young... but not an excuse. First off the waitress seemed annoyed the we were waiting for our last friend to show up to our table (the place wasn't busy at all and it was 6pm on a Monday). Our friend finally got there, we ordered and the waitress messed up one of our friends orders. It happens, no biggy. But instead of offering to fix it... she gave a sob story on her staying up all night (the night before) painting her senior parking spot. Girl we have been there before (we are not much older than her). My friend had to ask to have the order fixed. After this, our service went downhill completely. Waitress never offered to refill waters the 2 hours we were there eating. After we paid, she came back and took our checks away for our tips.My friend decided to pay in cash and left the tip and the extra change( which my friend did not even know was left in the check book) behind the receipt. After this waitress came back with a sassy attitude and dropped the change in my friends hand and said "here take this...I ain't gonna take this as a tip" and walked away and was laughing with 2 other young staff members. Then as we were leaving we confronted the waitress to discuss how rude and uncalled for that was. She said "well to be fair I was waiting on y'all for two hours" which baffled me bc is that not your job? and I didn't know there was a time limit to dinner service plus it wasn't busy at all. All of the younger staff was watching and laughing with her... enabling this type of poor service. Then she said "I'm not taking a 39 cent tip though" but like I said before the tip (cash) was behind the receipt and my friend didn't even know there was leftover change in there to begin with... after explaining that to the waitress - she looked shocked bc she didn't see the other tip and had only seen the change. However, still did not apologize or feel sorry for how she behaved at all. Then we came back about 15 mins later bc it did not sit right with our spirits and we hope no one else gets treated like this again. We asked for the manager and all the waitresses looked beyond annoyed at us for even insisting on speaking with the manager. The waitress who we had issues with grabbed the manager herself and stood by him the entire time (not giving us space to talk to him one on one) and he did not seem like he cared that much unfortunately. We hope the issue was resolved and this young girl and all the other young staff members learned a lesson but I seriously doubt it with the way they were acting. Anyways, the food was "good" but not good enough to ever come back nor recommend to anyone. You would be better off going to Olive Garden sadly. At-least there service is good :)

Yelp
This is my favorite pizza in the area! Outstanding service. Good food , reasonable pricing , family owned. The interior is nothing fancy nor does it need to be. The quality of the food is just fantastic. The family clearly cares for their customers especially their regulars. Love love love. If ya want a good pie check them out!

Yelp
My family and I just came from here and we loved the food! The staff is great and our server was nice and helpful! We are very shocked on how good the food and atmosphere was in the store, due to us being in McKinney TX lol. We lived on Long Island NY and this food tasted like a real home cooked Italian restaurant. Definitely will go back and we enjoyed everything about this location!

Samicus R.

Yelp
The service is family and awesome. The food exceptional - all the flavors and options. Some of the best calamari we've had, the veal piccata and cheese pizza top the charts. Definitely a must visit Italian favorite.

Yelp
About the best Italian food in west Mckinney/east Frisco. Take-out meals are identical to dining in, but quality suffers a little, as one would expect. I would say quality has improved a bit in the last few years, which is a pleasant surprise. Meals are generous at reasonable price.

Yelp
Food is not good at all! You can notice that they used 3 or 4 sources for all dishes like the rest of this Italian restaurant, this restaurant is not even from Italian owners!!!

Rob H.

Yelp
Dont listen to the reels or tiktoks that say this place is good. I would avoid their spaghetti. Or most of their chicken entree dishes i would avoid. The noodles were wet and watery. The sauce very bland. Chicken not anything to write home about. Our server was nice but the service wasn't amazing yet not bad, ill give it to them that it was very late when we went. There was some lady, i think the owner or some manager who was drunkenly screaming "can you say i love you! Peekaboo!" to her granddaughter who was much too old to be playing those games anyways. And she was genuinely screaming at the top of her lungs i am not exaggerating. And there was only us and another table in the restaurant but i just think that even so you have to have some awareness maybe for the people around you. Maybe it was just a friend of someone who works there but either way it kind of ruined the already tacky atmosphere(the decor was tacky in a good way i will say). Maybe the other food like the pizza is good but we probably wont be back.

Yelp
Really great food. Take the recommendations of the weight staff they are top-notch. Italian sausage is one of my favorites as well. Flavorful not dry.

Yelp
My name is Sharon and I am new to the McKinney area. I have been looking for some good authentic Italian food. I saw it and decided to try it out; and I am so glad that I did. The experience was an awesome one as soon as I walked in the door. I was met with a kind greeting from Alicia. The restaurant atmosphere is very welcoming and warm; with a family owned vibe. I ordered a salad and the three trio pasta. My food came out very quick and it was fresh and very delicious!!! I believe I have found my spot for my Italian food! I will definitely be back and will for sure tell family and friends about this place.

Yelp
First of all, I wish I got the name of the kind lady who helped us today she was amazing! We had a slight issue with the new ordering system and it wasn't getting made til we actually got there. We were fine waiting because it would be fresh and hot. We were able to sit in a booth and wait and it was really nice and had a good atmosphere. We waited maybe 10 minutes and we were all good to go when we got asked if we ate leftovers. Then they gave us a whole extra order someone had accidentally double ordered! We love this place regardless but we are so happy that they went the extra mile. Thank you guys so much for everything!

Yelp
Italian Garden is a true gem for Italian cuisine lovers! Enjoyed a delicious dinner with my wife! I ordered the shrimp Arabiatta and it was DELICIOUS. Great food, great service and great prices!

Yelp
I have driven past this Italian restaurant so many times, but my normal spot had too long of a wait so I came to try it. I had the best chicken alfredo I've ever eaten in my life. My compliments to the owners and the chef! I learned they make everything fresh, this was amazing and I will be back! Great service, friendly and welcoming!

Yelp
Monday lunch special our favorite! The mushroom soup is my fav. ‍ Love the atmosphere, the authenticity of this gem of a restaurant, and always the friendly and warm servers here. $11.99 lunch special that includes drink, freshly baked rolls and butter, soup or salad and entree just can't be beat! Spouse's go to is fettuccine Alfredo and my current go to is the sausage calzone. Just so much YESSS.

Jon K.

Yelp
So frustrated. I order the same pizza every time, but only get the pizza I order 50% of the time. And when I say it's wrong, I'm told, in effect, too bad...better luck next time." Time to take my business elsewhere. So sad: when it's done right, it's so good. But good half the time isn't good enough.
google avatar

Bob R.

Yelp
Great food, great price, nice service. Everything you want in a neighborhood Italian restaurant!

Doreen P.

Yelp
their subs are great especially the Cheese steak sub. i'm so happy it is close by. the Calzones are great especially the spinach one. Give it a try.

Yelp
I haven't tried everything but I can say what I've had was excellent! everything at our table arrived piping hot. The wait staff was very help full. You can tell it is a family run restaurant. I love it! Very pretty inside. Looks like Italy with amazing wall murals of some of my favorite Italian features. I have been looking for a place like this. Family owned family run. ~~ We went back today. My husband has pizza this time and I had a calzone. We both couldn't eat it all so we packed it up for dinner tonight! Once again the wait staff was on top of things. Every thing was piping hot, even the bread which is wonderful!
google avatar

Yelp

Yelp
Hot ready good. The ladies were super nice and you can tell they are awesome grandmas. Love it. Will be back. Also the painting on the wall is very cool.

Yelp
Service was great but our takeout meals were disappointing. We tried chicken parm and chicken Alfredo.
google avatar

Kasey S.

Yelp
The whole family really enjoyed this place. We did take out and our food was still hot after the 15 minute car ride home. We got the lasagna, chicken Alfredo and the chicken parmigiana.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good, not fantastic as many say. But it could be just my taste. The service was fantastic. It is a very small space and feel as though you are sitting on top of each other.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food. Bruschetta to die for. Wednesday cheese broccoli soup too. Must go. Bring the kids too. Great eggplant parm.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food and very friendly service. Highly recommended. Portions are generous and very well prepared.

Yelp
My daughter and I were craving for spaghetti with meat sauce, so we tried this place since some of my friends within the neighborhood recommended it. After sitting at our table for about 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us, I told my daughter we'll just stand up and walk out. There was a girl who kept walking back and forth previously without saying anything to us. Well, she turned out to be our waitress. She finally asked us what we wanted to drink. I had a feeling I should have just asked for the check ahead of time because that took a long time, too. The foods were ok. Maybe it was because the service/experience was poor. We won't be back.
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
The food is so yummy for such a cheap cost! It's a bit of a basic style Italian restaurant (think painted murals, stucco walls, and dimmer lighting) but I much prefer that! Staff has always been friendly and efficient!
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Had dinner here the other night. Really enjoyed our meals here. Meals included Chicken Marsala and Fettuccini Alfredo. Both were excellent. Will definitely be back again.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
We like this spot! It has yummy rolls, pizza is good and their pastas are unique. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. Coke products, have never had to wait for a table.

Vicky R.

Yelp
Cute little locally owned join. We tried a couple different pasta, calamari, and a pizza. Everything we ordered was delicious. Service is prompt and personal. Portion and Prices are more than fair. Look forward to come back and try the entire menu!
google avatar

Leonard S.

Yelp
Mediocre . Everything tasted the same ! Too much cheese to cover the tasteless food . Tiramisu was frozen ! Seriously now frozen desserts wtf ! And overpriced !!!!
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Food - 4 Service - 4 Value - 4 We ordered here on a not so busy night and got the stromboli and the linguine with clams. The stromboli is probably the best I've had in the area and I liked the fact they had other ingredients in it other than just meat and cheese. The linguine with clams was serviceable but there were shell fragments in the pasta. While I was waiting to pickup my food, it appeared another customer had some issues with their order...and then a different customer who was picking up a to-go order left without knowing that their order was missing something that hadn't come out yet.

Joe F.

Yelp
Ate here on a Saturday evening at 5PM with friends. Only about 20% full when we arrived; completely full when we left. Fast friendly service. Food served hot & was delicious. I had Chicken Maximo, wife had Chicken Diane - both excellent. Had cheese tortellini soup, also hot and great tasting. Very reasonable prices. Free bread & butter; the bread was a little dry.

Yelp
I have no clue if this is authentic italian food or not. I am not a fan of Italian food and the only time I ate it growing up was when I visited family in Brooklyn. That being said, I think this italian food is quite good. I have had the chicken marsala and shrimp scampi and both were super tasty. The shrimp scampi had this wonderful butter/garlic/white wine sauce that is phenomenal. The pizza is thin crust New York style but didnt taste as good as the pizza I am used to in brooklyn. I enjoy the fact that its byob and that they serve warm fresh housemade bread. That bread is so good and my mouth is watering just thinking of it. The one thing they could do to enhance the bread is have some homemade or better butter. The tiny containers they give you just dont do that wonderful bread justice. I love the homey feel to the restaurant and am happy to support small businesses in my area during this tough time. They do allow dine in service so be sure to check them out!
google avatar

Greg H.

Yelp
Chicken Murphy is where it is at. If you enjoy a little kick in your pasta the red peppers and jalapeño cream sauce is so tasty. The food here is good and very well priced. They serve dinner rolls that have a lot of good taste but I wish the bread itself was a little softer or fresh out of the oven. Again they had good taste but could be something spectacular with just a little more finesse. It is hard to complain too much as they are free.

JR M.

Yelp
Got a large cheese and pepperoni pizza to go. Was ready on time , service was excellent and pizza tasted great. Always a good consistency to food. Highly recommend

Yelp
Loved it the first time ( take out ) . Went back and ordered the same food selections and a lot different second time. Hard buns instead of yummy garlic bread. Salad I never ate due to brown lettuce pieces with 1 cherry tomato only and 1 small cut of cucumber piece ( paid extra for btw ) . Not sure what's going on with them but wish they're get it together again because we really enjoyed our first visits. May give another try though.

Yelp
Love this place! Very affordable good Italian food. Locally owned by a wonderful family.

Yelp
Prepare yourself. You're gonna walk in and feel like you just walked into the most authentic Italia restaurante ever. Although I've never been to it Italy so I wouldn't know, but regardless, this is what I'd imagine it to smell like! The restaurant smells divine, we were seated immediately during prime dinner hours on a Monday, and the food was incredible. Our server was baring with me through all of my questions about the menu and the food came out in a decent amount of time. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Oh and the lobster ravioli is a MUST! I also ate this bread for dessert because it was that good. I stared at everyone's plate around me and didn't think anything looked back. You're not gonna go wrong here!

Yelp
If there's a more beloved local haunt than IG I'd be surprised. Whispered amongst the residents in Mckinney off Custer and Virginia Pkway is a family owned Italian spot, they crank out entrees and appetizers that satisfy the belly. It's a great spot for lunch if you work from home or live in the area, but I like it better when we dine in as a family. If you plan on going before 8pm on Friday or Saturday evening expect a wait (they are closed Sundays). We walked in a little past 8 and were promptly seated. Server took our drinks order right away and we perused the menu. The entrees come with either a soup or salad. So my wife and I split it down the middle, one salad with house dressing and I got the cheese tortellini soup. My son had a slice of cheese pizza, daughter had the cheese ravioli, I sampled both and they were very good!! Pizza has a nice crispy crust; thin pan, quality cheese. The ravioli was stuffed with a nice sauce(careful as the plate is super hot). We ended up killing the garlic bread dipped into the tortellini soup; each of us had 2 of the healthy dinner rolls. You could come in have tortellini soup with the bread, leave and you'd be good. Now for our entrees; the Chicken Murphy and Lobster Ravioli. These a 2 meal portions, unless you are trying to gorge yourself; and love the Murphy; spaghetti in a sauce, with plenty of mushrooms and jalapeños and tops with chicken breast...packing a punch and flavor. It's really really good. The lobster Ravioli dish; with plenty of large mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli and sun dried tomatoes and a light sauce has subtle flavors that meld so well. 3 large Ravioli stuffed with tasty lobster. Took 2 of their fantastic Tiramisu to go, and they were scrumptious! Meal was very well priced, service excellent and nice atmosphere. Good max if patrons as well, spanning young families and older couples. Great place for a wonderful meal.

Yelp
We ordered delivery yesterday from Italian garden and we ordered chicken parm and eggplant parm, in the past when you ordered chicken parm it came with a salad, when we received our order, no salad do we called and the lady on the phone said with delivery you don't get a salad with chicken parm, which surprised me cause it lists a salad on the order tab of their website! Needless to say we were disappointed with the results of the order after having eaten there many times in the past
