It was our first time here + it won’t be our last. From being seated to getting our food the service was amazing. Fast and delicious. We will most definitely be coming back.

We came in for dinner and as expected Italian Garden never disappoints. The bread was hot and full of flavor. Our waitress Ava was amazing! Very attentive and super sweet. We usually order carry out but we’ll be returning and requesting to sit in her section again!

This is a very cozy comfortable restaurant with really good bread rolls and delicious generous portions of excellent Italian food. We were served by a really friendly lady.

This place was recommended to me by my barber. It was good, nothing fancy, but solid pasta. They have a lot of different options on their menu. The service was great, our waitress was patient with us and explained the menu well and made good recommendations. The food came out pretty quickly and the portions were big. The garlic bread they served was ok, they were a bit stale, they weren’t fresh.

The little restaurant packs a big punch! The service was wonderful but please know it is BYOB meaning while they don’t serve alcohol, you can bring your own wine with you. We were seated right away and enjoyed a good meal.

I don’t like posting a negative review but we have been enjoying and supporting Italian Garden for almost 15 yrs and it’s changed. The food is still good and we enjoy the portion sizes BUT the attitude and effort of the staff has tanked in the last year to the point we’re ready to stop visiting. They don’t check on you at the table (refills & bread, Hello!?!), seem miserable to be there and like others have mentioned the older lady is downright VERY rude (not just “old school” Italian)!! We have loved experiencing Bennie’s family’s restaurants over the years (including B&B!) but the current culture at Italian Garden isn’t worth supporting. I’m sorry.

We had such a phenomenal dinner! Everything from the reasonable prices, to the good portion sizes, to the fresh and delicious food. I've had the meatball sub, fettuccine alfredo, and chicken parm. All three were so good! Same with the bread and marinara sauce. We love food places like Italian Garden: the only location of a hardworking, family-owned restaurant.

Our first time eating here! The food was delicious! Look forward to coming back. Have heard numerous comments about how good the food is here…definitely met our expectations! We had the Italian garden salad, shrimp arabiata, chicken Parmesan, and the cream of broccoli soup.

This may honestly be the best food I have ever eaten in my life. I believe I ordered the chicken and shrimp Marsala, or something very close to that, and it absolutely blew me away. Every bite was rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. I already know I will be back, and there is a very good chance I will order the exact same dish again. My wife ordered the chicken dish, not sure the name, and she loved it. We both thought it was the best food we've ever had, and we are both in our 70's. On top of the incredible food, our waitress was exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better. From start to finish, everything was outstanding. I truly cannot find a single negative thing to say about this place. It deserves 10 stars. We can't wait to go back.

I made a takeout order on a Friday night and drove 15 minutes to pick it up. I ordered a GF dish for my wife and when I picked it up, I asked the cashier to verify they made it GF. She said it was and I drove home. Turns out it wasn't made as a GF dish. I immediately called and was annoyed because it's 30 minute round trip to get a correction made. However, the owner took my call and told me to text him my address and what we needed corrected. I did as he requested, and then he personally drove to our house within 20 minutes with the correct dish. What!?! Where has customer service like this been? It was such a welcome surprise. I was so impressed with his quick reaction to right the wrong and his personal touch to make sure his customers all have a great experience. That act alone has made our family customers for life. Well done Italian Garden and BIG thank you to Benny, the proud owner and someone I learned from today. PS: the food was great as always.

Did we go back to Italian garden? Why yes, yes we did! It's the food and the warm, loving atmosphere that brings us back! We even had the same waitress we had last week and she recognized us, which was a pretty nice little moment. As usual the food was excellent, service is always good, and it's just a wonderful little restaurant! It's like walking into your Italian mother's home, only I'm not Italian, but I'm just as welcome!

It's a busy Tuesday night, after long day of work and an hour drive home on the toll road. Hungry and need a place to forget the day. We enjoy the vintage Italian style of this place, it's like going back in time to another place. Glass of sweet tea and a slice of pepperoni with yes ! Pineapple! No judging, it's great. Grab your partner or your family & stop by try a slice for yourself. Happy 2026 !!

While most restaurants have the usual Italian food on their menu this one had an excellent options for food and wine. Had an excellent surprise and the service was great.

This food was really good! Enjoyed everything, the Italian wedding soup, house salad, chicken Florentine, the chicken & asparagus pasta was also good. I loved the music, the service was also very good. So glad I found this place via tik tok

First time trying Italian garden was GREAT!! Where do I start? The food was delicious, and they give you a great portion size for a decent price. I had the spaghetti with meatballs which I enjoyed. The service was also very good! Our waiter checked on us every five to ten minutes, while giving us lots of refills on drinks and garlic bread. There was one thing that I didn't enjoy as much about the restaurant, which is the ambience. It had great music, but lighting just felt slightly off and place seemed slightly outdated. However, food and service makes up for that big time. I highly recommend trying this place out.

Food is always incredible. Ambiance is a true Italian restaurant with paintings and murals. The service staff can assist you with glasses and bottle opener for wine you bring in. The original family runs this restaurant since the day it opened. Large portions so be ready to take some home. Lunch specials are phenomenal.

Italian Garden is one of those rare hidden gems that totally surprises you, in the best way. From the outside, it's got that unassuming hole-in-the-wall look, but once you step inside, it's warm, cozy, and full of charm. You can tell it's a local favorite the second you walk in. I ordered the chicken parmesan and... wow. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, smothered in rich marinara, and topped with just the right amount of melty cheese. Served with perfectly cooked pasta and warm garlic bread, chef's kiss. You can taste the love in their food. This isn't mass-produced chain stuff; it's homemade-style goodness. The service was just as impressive. Super friendly staff who genuinely seemed to care that we had a good experience. They checked in just the right amount, offered recommendations, and made us feel completely welcome without hovering. Whether you're craving comfort food or just want a laid-back, delicious dinner spot that won't break the bank, Italian Garden is it. I'm already planning my next visit, and I'm bringing friends! This place has been here forever & I can tell why!

The service is family and awesome. The food exceptional - all the flavors and options. Some of the best calamari we've had, the veal piccata and cheese pizza top the charts. Definitely a must visit Italian favorite.

Really great food. Take the recommendations of the weight staff they are top-notch. Italian sausage is one of my favorites as well. Flavorful not dry.

First of all, I wish I got the name of the kind lady who helped us today she was amazing! We had a slight issue with the new ordering system and it wasn't getting made til we actually got there. We were fine waiting because it would be fresh and hot. We were able to sit in a booth and wait and it was really nice and had a good atmosphere. We waited maybe 10 minutes and we were all good to go when we got asked if we ate leftovers. Then they gave us a whole extra order someone had accidentally double ordered! We love this place regardless but we are so happy that they went the extra mile. Thank you guys so much for everything!

This is my favorite pizza in the area! Outstanding service. Good food , reasonable pricing , family owned. The interior is nothing fancy nor does it need to be. The quality of the food is just fantastic. The family clearly cares for their customers especially their regulars. Love love love. If ya want a good pie check them out!

Food is not good at all! You can notice that they used 3 or 4 sources for all dishes like the rest of this Italian restaurant, this restaurant is not even from Italian owners!!!

Wow!! What an amazing experience we had the ambiance was amazing the food was delicious taste of Italy in our small town! Our server Besi was as attentive and such a sweet heart she did amazing made the experience well worth it! We had the seafood combo and the chicken piccata delicious!! Will be back!!!

The food was unfortunately underwhelming--nothing really stood out aside from the bread, which was decent. The atmosphere was extremely loud, making it hard to enjoy the experience. Staff seemed overwhelmed and rushed, which added to the overall chaotic vibe. I've had better, I've had worse.

Service was great! The food was excellent!! Very reasonable priced. Portions size was great! I do wish, I could have had a cocktail, though. I'll definitely be back!

Be sure and try the meatball appetizer... I dream about the pink sauce it comes in ...

My family and I just came from here and we loved the food! The staff is great and our server was nice and helpful! We are very shocked on how good the food and atmosphere was in the store, due to us being in McKinney TX lol. We lived on Long Island NY and this food tasted like a real home cooked Italian restaurant. Definitely will go back and we enjoyed everything about this location!

Might need to call and check their hours before you head there. They were closed during business hours when we went there.

Manager is rude and disrespectful. and Italian sauce is made in an unsanitary way. Along with that, manager is extremely rude to the employee and they smoke cigs in the back and take shots. awful serivce

The best local Italian restaurant in McKinney! The service & food are always wonderful. We love that's it's BYOB too! They are also great with accommodating large groups which is a rare these days.

Italian Garden is a true gem for Italian cuisine lovers! Enjoyed a delicious dinner with my wife! I ordered the shrimp Arabiatta and it was DELICIOUS. Great food, great service and great prices!

I have driven past this Italian restaurant so many times, but my normal spot had too long of a wait so I came to try it. I had the best chicken alfredo I've ever eaten in my life. My compliments to the owners and the chef! I learned they make everything fresh, this was amazing and I will be back! Great service, friendly and welcoming!

The whole family really enjoyed this place. We did take out and our food was still hot after the 15 minute car ride home. We got the lasagna, chicken Alfredo and the chicken parmigiana.

My name is Sharon and I am new to the McKinney area. I have been looking for some good authentic Italian food. I saw it and decided to try it out; and I am so glad that I did. The experience was an awesome one as soon as I walked in the door. I was met with a kind greeting from Alicia. The restaurant atmosphere is very welcoming and warm; with a family owned vibe. I ordered a salad and the three trio pasta. My food came out very quick and it was fresh and very delicious!!! I believe I have found my spot for my Italian food! I will definitely be back and will for sure tell family and friends about this place.

About the best Italian food in west Mckinney/east Frisco. Take-out meals are identical to dining in, but quality suffers a little, as one would expect. I would say quality has improved a bit in the last few years, which is a pleasant surprise. Meals are generous at reasonable price.

Monday lunch special our favorite! The mushroom soup is my fav. ‍ Love the atmosphere, the authenticity of this gem of a restaurant, and always the friendly and warm servers here. $11.99 lunch special that includes drink, freshly baked rolls and butter, soup or salad and entree just can't be beat! Spouse's go to is fettuccine Alfredo and my current go to is the sausage calzone. Just so much YESSS.

So frustrated. I order the same pizza every time, but only get the pizza I order 50% of the time. And when I say it's wrong, I'm told, in effect, too bad...better luck next time." Time to take my business elsewhere. So sad: when it's done right, it's so good. But good half the time isn't good enough.

Dont listen to the reels or tiktoks that say this place is good. I would avoid their spaghetti. Or most of their chicken entree dishes i would avoid. The noodles were wet and watery. The sauce very bland. Chicken not anything to write home about. Our server was nice but the service wasn't amazing yet not bad, ill give it to them that it was very late when we went. There was some lady, i think the owner or some manager who was drunkenly screaming "can you say i love you! Peekaboo!" to her granddaughter who was much too old to be playing those games anyways. And she was genuinely screaming at the top of her lungs i am not exaggerating. And there was only us and another table in the restaurant but i just think that even so you have to have some awareness maybe for the people around you. Maybe it was just a friend of someone who works there but either way it kind of ruined the already tacky atmosphere(the decor was tacky in a good way i will say). Maybe the other food like the pizza is good but we probably wont be back.

I haven't tried everything but I can say what I've had was excellent! everything at our table arrived piping hot. The wait staff was very help full. You can tell it is a family run restaurant. I love it! Very pretty inside. Looks like Italy with amazing wall murals of some of my favorite Italian features. I have been looking for a place like this. Family owned family run. ~~ We went back today. My husband has pizza this time and I had a calzone. We both couldn't eat it all so we packed it up for dinner tonight! Once again the wait staff was on top of things. Every thing was piping hot, even the bread which is wonderful!

I never write reviews... especially never a bad one. This will be a hefty one but worth the read... service was horrible. Never experienced this bad of service before in my life. The waitress was so unbelievably rude to my friends that I had came with. She was young... but not an excuse. First off the waitress seemed annoyed the we were waiting for our last friend to show up to our table (the place wasn't busy at all and it was 6pm on a Monday). Our friend finally got there, we ordered and the waitress messed up one of our friends orders. It happens, no biggy. But instead of offering to fix it... she gave a sob story on her staying up all night (the night before) painting her senior parking spot. Girl we have been there before (we are not much older than her). My friend had to ask to have the order fixed. After this, our service went downhill completely. Waitress never offered to refill waters the 2 hours we were there eating. After we paid, she came back and took our checks away for our tips.My friend decided to pay in cash and left the tip and the extra change( which my friend did not even know was left in the check book) behind the receipt. After this waitress came back with a sassy attitude and dropped the change in my friends hand and said "here take this...I ain't gonna take this as a tip" and walked away and was laughing with 2 other young staff members.Then as we were leaving we confronted the waitress to discuss how rude and uncalled for that was. She said "well to be fair I was waiting on y'all for two hours" which baffled me bc is that not your job? and I didn't know there was a time limit to dinner service plus it wasn't busy at all. All of the younger staff was watching and laughing with her... enabling this type of poor service. Then she said "I'm not taking a 39 cent tip though" but like I said before the tip (cash) was behind the receipt and my friend didn't even know there was leftover change in there to begin with... after explaining that to the waitress - she looked shocked bc she didn't see the other tip and had only seen the change. However, still did not apologize or feel sorry for how she behaved at all. Then we came back about 15 mins later bc it did not sit right with our spirits and we hope no one else gets treated like this again. We asked for the manager and all the waitresses looked beyond annoyed at us for even insisting on speaking with the manager. The waitress who we had issues with grabbed the manager herself and stood by him the entire time (not giving us space to talk to him one on one) and he did not seem like he cared that much unfortunately. We hope the issue was resolved and this young girl and all the other young staff members learned a lesson but I seriously doubt it with the way they were acting. Anyways, the food was "good" but not good enough to ever come back nor recommend to anyone. You would be better off going to Olive Garden sadly. At-least there service is good :)

My daughter and I were craving for spaghetti with meat sauce, so we tried this place since some of my friends within the neighborhood recommended it. After sitting at our table for about 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us, I told my daughter we'll just stand up and walk out. There was a girl who kept walking back and forth previously without saying anything to us. Well, she turned out to be our waitress. She finally asked us what we wanted to drink. I had a feeling I should have just asked for the check ahead of time because that took a long time, too. The foods were ok. Maybe it was because the service/experience was poor. We won't be back.

Food was good, not fantastic as many say. But it could be just my taste. The service was fantastic. It is a very small space and feel as though you are sitting on top of each other.

their subs are great especially the Cheese steak sub. i'm so happy it is close by. the Calzones are great especially the spinach one. Give it a try.
