The First of Boka’s Three Lakeview Restaurants Will Open Next Week | Eater Chicago

"Planned for an early March opening, Itoko is a new Japanese restaurant from Momotaro chef Gene Kato that will occupy part of the same 120-year-old former Schlitz Beer tied house as GG’s and Little Goat, each with separate entrances and sidewalk patio spaces." - Ashok Selvam

I would give this lovely restaurant a perfect ten stars. The fish was fresh and delicious, and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere is cozy and characteristic of Japan. I will definitely return.

I love this place! The food is simple yet delicious and colorful, the atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and the family running it is truly lovely. I’ve been here a few times and will definitely be back again. I went back yesterday and it was as good and satisfying as it was last time. Thank you.

I loved every sushi roll at this place, everything was amazing and full of flavor. They were very nicely presented, the futomaki a bit loose can’t be held properly with the sticks, but no complaints as the taste was fantastic. One thing however, the desserts weren’t up to the game, the fraisier was frozen, they waited long before delivering it so we knew they were having time to leave it at room temperature but still arrived frozen, the mochis were ok however. Next time I know only to order food because I know it’s a place not to miss.

Itoko was an unexpected highlight of our Paris trip - we loved it so much we ended up eating here multiple times! The food quality is excellent and menu is extensive. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and delicious. We also highly recommend the hot dishes; the grilled salmon and udon were both perfect. We were also grateful for how baby-friendly Itoko is. They were wonderful to our kid and even customized the udon dish for our toddler, which made our meal so much easier. Highly recommend this spot for authentic, high-quality Japanese food and sincere service. A real gem!

Went to this place while shopping and it was amazing! We ordered a tobico roll, gyoza, yaki udon, and the sashimi bowl. The gyoza were crunchy, flavorful, with a tangy dipping sauce. The sushi was fresh and perfect full seasoned. The sashimi bowl was fresh with delicious rice. The yaki udon was the only disappointment. Not flavorful more greasy, almost no meat even tho the picture shows lots of protein. Other than that the service was great waiters friendly. Even though the place was packed our orders came out right as we finished one thing which was perfect.

One of the best sashimi in Paris 😍 My friend and I were looking for a good sashimi place for a long time, and I think we found it. We ordered a large set for 58 euros, which also included miso soup, cabbage, and a side dish (rice, edamame, or noodles). We waited for about 40 minutes, but it was worth it! It was served on a boat, and the fish tasted AMAZING! Our set included: sashimi, sushi, and nigiri. I usually only eat salmon sashimi because tuna is not tasty in many places, but here it was heavenly! And the size is good too. Will definitely go back :) The staff was nice and the place was clean.

They delivered impressive taste, texture, quality, and value for the price. Good option if you're looking for flavorful dishes that capture some Japanese influences, even if they don't adhere strictly to traditional recipes, techniques and authenticity.

Booked with The fork, disapointed. Menus are excluded and most of the Carte is considered as menu (dish+ miso soup =menu). Beer was not good at all. No tuna available and they don’t tell you when you arrive. Dishes were ok
