One of my favorite places for Boba in Kearny Mesa. There’s so many options! But when in doubt, this place has just the flavors you need! There is even a top 20 list of their most popular drinks! Convenient location for a quick in and out. My recommendation Pistachio frappe Thai tea and Okinawa

It’s been years since last time i visited. I would say their drinks are ok, nothing special. The boba texture is a bit chewy than my liking. Their price is reasonable. They renovated the interior which is nice. Overall, it’s not a bad place to get boba but there are better options else where.

**COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!** The food is decent though. Not the best acai bowl but it'll do, if you're in the area. 1) Nobody is paying attention to customers walking up to order. The workers want you to use the self service kiosk. I opted for a printed receipt and nothing printed. 2) The worker called out my order as if it's complete but it wasn't. I had to wait again for them to pay attention to customers to ask for the rest of my order. I politely said, "excuse me. You called my order but I'm still waiting for the rest of my items." She gave me an angry stare, rolled her eyes and tossed her head back frustrated like a child, took a deep breath and then started the rest of my order, which was the Taiyaki and it came out slightly overdone. During my contact with her, she spoke no words to me. 3) They don't have spoons out for customers to get when they pick up the order. I asked the female worker for a spoon and she got pissed off and rolled her eyes and handed me a spoon. Again, she didn't verbally acknowledge me or anything when I asked for a spoon. 4) They got my order wrong. I didn't bother with having them correct it because they're NOT even paying attention to the customers! 5) The place is filthy and tables are sticky. There's straw wrappers all over the floor and trash overflowing from the trash can and it's hot inside the dining area and that's even with the door opened. Parking in the area is horrendous. Good luck finding a sizeable parking spot if you're in a truck or SUV.

Delicious boba tea! I got Hawaiian tea. Reasonable price and wait time. Seating inside, but the chairs are not curvy girl friendly. Parking can be hard depending on what time of day.

massive menu you’ll find crazy creations unlike anything else like the galaxy milk tea and even limited time drinks like the battleground bliss milk tea. I would’ve been so lost if it were not for the super friendly and fun to talk to server, I think his name was Christian. Super knowledgeable about the menu and helped me navigate to mango milk tea and it was fire, even helped me drop the sugar to 25% cuz i’m not tryna get diabetes. 10/10 would come back again

Yummy Boba teas at It’s Boba Time! We ordered the pistachio matcha milk tea and strawberry milk tea. Friendly service and didn’t need to wait long to pick up. Nice, spacious seating area. Recommend!

Large boba is very tasty and affordable! I got the tiger sugar milk. I was afraid it was gonna be too sweet but I actually found it not too sweet at all. It’s very mild, slightly sweet, the milk flavor really comes through, and the boba is perfect consistency, nice and chewy. Next time I might add extra boba! TY boba time!

It’s Boba Time is such a nice place to hang out and study while getting boba. I got a choco Oreo shake, Ube shake, and a tea. It was a bit late when they served it. The drinks were delicious, service was ok, and atmosphere was good. Definitely would recommend!

I haven't tried the food but some of their drinks are solid. I've tried this spot out a few items and the only thing I like is their peach-lychee fruit tea and lychee-strawberry fruit tea. It gets packed inside during peak hours but the staff are well trained and are able to keep up with the demanding environment from what I've observed thus far. A kid named Joseph helped me a few times and suggested different fruit teas on different occasions since I'm lactose intolerant. He even brought out my drink to me the first time I came to study because I lost track of time while studying which is why I wanted to throw his name out there. Very sweet kid along with some of the other young staff. The rest of the staff have been kind and patient when I've come in to order. They go out of their way to explain the drinks to me when I have questions and I always ask what their favorite drink is to try :) I would come back just to chat and try out the drinks they suggest sometimes. The staff are all young but they're all hard workers. Some of the drinks on the menu weren't my style (like the honey dew slush) but overall the vibe of the place is pretty solid. I like coming here to study on my down time. The music is . . . Aight and it's sometimes hectic inside but this kind of environment helps me lock in. The interior is well lit, regularly cleaned, and the bathrooms are always clean/stocked. I would recommend it over Yun if you're lactose intolerant or trying to avoid dairy. The menu is huge and they have some decent selections. Parking is trash but it's like that everywhere in convoy.

drinks: I used to come here for the boba drinks but they're just okay. This time we tried the matcha einspanner and double matcha drinks. They are more milky than matcha tasting. I think I'd rather get regular drinks here than matcha. service: they're okay, they'll get upset sometimes when they call people's names or orders and they're not there in time. it's understandable at the same time. ambiance: this place is really cute! i love the vibes and people definitely do come and just chill at the tables talking. i love the decor!

This is the review for their matcha einspanner. I have tried many matcha spots but most of them are either too bitter or too milky. This is the first time trying boba time's matcha and it's totally balanced and delicious. I like that it's not insanely sweet. 25% sweet is good enough for me. It's not a new boba shop but the drink is high quality compared to other competitors.

It was awesome! I felt so refreshed after having it. To those who don't know what boba is, it's like a smoothie or drink with little tapioca pearls called boba, which makes it boba. I would strongly recommend the strawberry with pineapple with boba It was so good. This experience was 10/10. Definitely are coming again.

One of my favorite Boba Spots in Convoy. Make sure you download the app to gain points because there are a few franchises in SD. You can order ahead, as well as skip the line in store to get your bubble tea on. Not sure what to get? Any of the top 10 boba drinks are delicious!! My personal favorite is the Pistachio! It's pretty small inside, but its instagrammable walls make you want to sit and chat with your friends. There are also food available if you're hungry!

I like this boba time much more than the ones around me. This one actually has food while the ones in Ventura County only have drinks. My favorite thing to get here is the popcorn chicken and fries haha. Its just so yummy. My main con of this location is that it is very hard to park around it.

Another great find that I recently discovered! I'm always on the hunt for good boba tea places and I think this one is my new go-to and here are a couple reasons why: Located along convoy street and it's in the corner suite which you can see from the street. As with most locations along convoy parking can be tough depending on when you go. The interior is very welcoming - clean, modern and very IG worthy. I was also impressed by their menu which has lot of variety and options such as alternative milks. I especially like the taro series and got one of the drinks in the series - taro coconut smoothie with boba. So delicious with its creamy flavor, coconut pudding and chewy boba that I literally drank it in 5 minutes. As for the price, it's pretty much in line with other boba places and each addition and alternative milk will cost you around $0.75 extra.

yo this place is the spot. I really liked the strawberry matcha milk tea. the customer service was fantastic. I think the cashier's name was Christian? I asked him for recommendations and he was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Great ambience and vibes, tables to work and study too!

We ordered the house milk tea & it was very disappointing. I should have ordered my go to drink which is the coconut strawberry. The cups were cutely decorated for Halloween. This place is nice to hangout I would not recommend studying here because it's too loud.

My fiancé loves this place. Every time we're in the city and makes his drive here. I'm not a big fan but their drinks are good. They have a large selection to choose from so you'll find something you like. Today I tried their strawberry banana shake. I'm more of a Raspberry banana girl so it's hard to find that kick on the strawberry. Overall it's good !

I was picking up something at the bakery in the same plaza and wanted a refreshing drink. You can order at the counter or use the self serve order screen. I don't come here often so it was helpful to see a screen dedicated to all of their top drinks. I opted for most popular drink #2 the pistachio frappe and the #5 strawberry coconut slush with rainbow jelly add on. My drink was refreshing. I reduced the sweetness to 50% so it was like having a not so sweet milky slushee with real strawberry bits. We've had the pistachio frappe before but today it wasn't blended well. Chunks of unblended pistachio hit my throat when drinking it. Not a pleasant feeling. This location is quite roomy. Once you order there's a whole half of the store you can stand while you wait. There are a few small tables for anyone that wants to chat, study or hangout. This plaza can get particularly packed during lunch and dinner time. There is Olleh Bbq, Tiffany's Haircuts, Bootbarn and Tasty Bakery among many other places.

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet. It's become my go-to spot for bubble tea because they consistently nail the flavors, are generous with toppings, and offer a wide range of choices. My usual order is the Thai smoothie with Oreos mixed in and boba--it's a favorite of mine. Recently, though, I tried the coconut strawberry smoothie with boba and mango jelly, and it's now my new go-to. The staff here are always friendly. I've also enjoyed their popcorn chicken and fries as a tasty snack. There are a few tables where you can relax and enjoy your drinks. There's a large parking lot, but it tends to fill up quickly, especially on weekends when no one feels like cooking. Overall, I really love this place and plan to keep coming back.

This place is cute. Shout out to my friend for putting me on. We had a group hangout here and spent about an hour just chilling and drinking our drinks. I ordered the Galaxy and the Matcha float. Both were really yummy. I think I would reorder the matcha float again. It wasn't too busy when we went but I heard it gets busy. They have indoor seating with different sized tables so there are some that are big enough for groups. We did order some chicken and that was really good. I would order that again too. I think in general I would probably do its boba time to go next time since I heard it can get busy. Looking forward to dropping in again.

Big parking lot, plenty of parking for a weekday at noon. They're open open 7 days week 11a-10p. They have an app. You can order ahead of time and earn points. I should've done that before ordering and honestly I wish the girl at register told me about it. She didn't ask if I had the app or promote it. I saw a poster of it when I walked in. I downloaded it after sitting down to kill time and I could have got 20% off my first order. They also have a kiosk at the front to order from. We were 2nd in line. I decided to just wait and order. They have more than just boba here. They also have food like chicken and fries, desserts like macarons and sliced cake. Nice and clean inside. We ordered from top 20 menu mango smoothie w/ boba Tiger sugar milk w/ boba My mango smoothie was ok. At least it was blended all the way. I've got to boba spots with ice chunks. Boba was good- it's the only free add on. Others are 75 cents. My daughter got the tiger sugar milk and she liked it. I would come here again and try other flavors and their food.

We decided to stop by this boba shop before heading to the beach since they open early. They've been around for a while in San Diego, but I remember not being too impressed during my last visit. I thought l'd give them another try. The interior is bright and has a nice modern feel to it. I ordered their regular milk tea and the tiger sugar milk tea. Unfortunately, this visit was consistent with my previous experience - I walked away disappointed. The milk tea tasted a bit watery, and the boba were harder and chewier than I prefer. I probably won't be back here again.

Super slow service. Waited over 30 minutes for 3 drinks. Not worth the time.............................

WOW i love boba time i love how they have so many options to choose from. one problem however is that there are too many items idk what to pick shoutout to one of the ppl who was working there this week ? christian i think? he helped recommend the double mango smoothie i liked it and thought it was good would def come back because of the customer service and just general vibe and ambiance

Came in here just for the pistachio latte. A little on the sweet side, but so much better tasting than Starbucks one. You can taste the pistachio instead of all milk. So much competition in the area so it's hard to choose when it comes to boba, but if the pistachio is what you're craving then try this place.

I would say that this place is a timeless classic because of the nostalgia factor. This was one of my first boba experiences and I come back here and there. You can definitely get better flavors, prices, and quality of boba elsewhere. But if you're in the area and looking for something quick, Boba Time will always be there for you. My personal favorite is the mango smoothie!

This place is awesome! I have come here once before and I was overwhelmed (in a good way) with how many options there are. There's drinks and drink customizations, just as you would expect at an average boba spot except that they stand out in their quality of ingredients. A real bonus is that this place is big enough to see big groups of young people on any given weekday. I like being around people just talking casually about their days and going on dates! So cute & sweet. My drink: PB Banana + oreo Food: popcorn chicken & fries (how could I resist?? His drink: Taro milktea w/ bob I enjoyed everything. It's cute inside and the service didn't take too long. I got the pistachio match milk tea with boba, which was heavenly! So creamy and matcha-y! They don't skimp out on boba here lol. My bf got the Galaxy tea with boba, which is a beautiful drink! He liked the flavor, but it was very sweet and too much boba for him. We also tried the macaroons and they were good, very light and airy.

All i ever order when I come here is their Taro Oreo Smoothie. It is SO good! Their fruit teas on the other hand...the butterfly tea one or galaxy one with the stars, whatever. It was literally water. It's a nope for me. Avoid at all costs. The staff here seems very stagnant. They don't really seem to enjoy their job, there is this one guy who had the quietest voice ever, he wasn't speaking into the mic correctly. I literally could not hear what orders were being called out. There are some days this place gets BUSY. The wait is kind of long, not my go-to boba spot but again something about the taro oreo smoothie just keeps me coming back...

Drinks and service was on point. First time coming here and really enjoyed my drink. The drink and boba is not too sweet which I really liked. They have a variety of drinks to chose from. They even have a self serve kiosk where you can order your drinks. Can't wait to come back and try other flavors.

I got a medium mango smoothie for my kiddo and a large brown sugar milk tea with boba for me. I paid around $11 for my drinks. This is a cute place to chill and drink boba with friends or family. I like that the boba stays good after some time. Flavor wise is comparable to other boba milk places. Prices are decent. There is somewhat of a wait depending on how busy it is...

I absolutely love this spot! I swear I've ordered here three or four times in the last week! Their prices are great. The service is incredible, all of the staff is super friendly. And I absolutely love the and the atmosphere inside. They even have a cute little photo-op spot for anybody who loves to take cute pictures while they enjoy their it's Boba Time experience

Ordered the - Green Tea Shaved Ice: This shaved ice was just alright. Banana was very overpowering. Mango was unripe. Green tea ice cream on top tasted a little off. Overall, it was good but nothing special. - Jasmine Matcha Milk Tea: This drink was good! Light Jasmine tea flavor and the matcha flavor paired well together! - Thai Tea Float: I believe I got less sweet and it was still a bit too sweet for me. Understandable since there's ice cream hahah Lots of tables for sitting and chatting. Clean and neat inside. Service was very nice.

It's been improving. But still not near as good as they used to be. The boba does taste fresh and all. I wish R&B boba would reopen already

Boba Time is like a good past time for my friends and I. Whenever I visit SoCal, I make sure to hit up Boba Time at least once for a decent drink. This spot was pretty dead when I went in. It was a monday midday, so I guess that's expected. Dropped by here to kill time before my flight back home. Place was clean and the drink was solid. Got a mango slush to quench my thirst. Service was really quick since no one else was around, so we got our drinks pretty fast. So it was a great time to get a drink. Can't wait to get another one next time I'm in the area.

They offer oat milk :D I was craving a jasmine oat milk tea and saw they offer that here so here I am...seemingly forever in search of a great jasmine oat milk boba in SD. Is it great here? No. But it's not really bad. At least the boba wasn't hard in the middle (I don't know why so many boba places in SD do that). The boba was slightly on the firm side. I did get a clump of about 6-7 stuck together that I couldn't break apart. The jasmine tea? Not bitter which was good but it was lacking the lightness, floral aroma and the flavor was kind of odd. It almost tasted like a low quality jasmine green tea that got mixed with some black tea. The color of the milk tea was darker beige/brown which is more consistent with a black tea. I make jasmine green milk teas at home and order them all the time at bubble tea places - typically the color is a very light yellowy beige. I did ask and was told that the jasmine milk tea is made with green tea. So I'm not sure what it is but I personally don't like it.

Believe it or not, it was my first time dropping in. Seen it a million times. Their prices are very reasonable but as they say, you get what you pay for. The quality is lacking but if you're on a budget, it'll do the trick.

Love love love this place! Great drink selections and boba toppings are free of charge! They have beautiful decor and lots of tables inside the store. Very clean and spacious. If parking weren't bad and if I lived closer, I would definitely come here more often. I guess if you don't come during peak dinner hours, then the parking lot will have a decent amount of parking spaces. Convoy is notorious for being a parking nightmare, so plan accordingly and be patient!

After coming back here a couple times, it's improve a lot. Is it the best boba in SD? No, but it is the cheapest and it hits the spot when you just want a boba and chill somewhere without breaking the bank. Like why is boba $7 at most places? I will never understand. So for its price point, its not bad. Plus I appreciate how much variety they have here. The most variety out of any other boba shop I've seen so there's something for everyone. Very niche when your party craves boba AND acai bowls. They had a lot of interesting drinks here that I wanna try next time. Recommendations: Thai tea slushie Iced green tea

It's Boba Time was recommended by a friend who goes here regularly, as in 3-4 times a week, so I had to try it since I pass it on my way home. It certainly wouldn't be my first choice for boba nor my last actually. I waited 20 minutes for a pistachio frappe when there were only 3 other people in the establishment with me. The pistachio was very tasty but the bits of pistachio in the smoothie itself was weird because they ended up getting soft after a while. They have an extensive menu including shave ice, frappes, slushes, milk tea, and food. I could've just ordered the wrong thing because the kid in front of me ordered a coconut strawberry slush which looked very good.

Love this place. It's not authentic traditional milk tea but there's something about this place that I like. The drinks are great and the service is quick.

Can't comment on the boba. I don't drink them. Over priced chemical mess. I should go to hell for buying them for my kids, but they said it good. Place is nice. Nice area for photo op.

Drinks were okay, except for the black tea w/lemonade & honey. The consistency was like apple cider and the taste was a little weird. Service was slow. Had to input and pay for my drink through a kiosk. No one was there to greet me until another person came in and then they did not help that person. I had to give them instructions on how to place an order. SMH! Ambiance... their backdrop was cute, but where are the staff?

If you love boba, Boba Time is for you! This location is so clean and the staff are very friendly! We got 2 Thai Milk Teas and 1 Thai Tea Smoothie which were both delicious. They also have other desserts such as macarons which were soft, sweet, and chewy. They also offer military discount and a loyalty program!

BEST BOBA TEA in San Diego. This place can get busy so I order on my app and hit "order" when I'm a few blocks away and that way I don't have to stand in line to use their kiosk order or place my order with the cashier. Using the app also updates my loyalty club where I get $5 every (10?) teas I order. The coconut strawberry smoothie with Boba is AMAZING. They have a lively backdrop to take selfies with and over Christmas they had some great decorations which made this tea place festive. It's always clean no matter what time of the day I go in. Staff is friendly and work hard so leave them a tip (every dollar counts!)

I love this place. You can order in store, but it will take 10-15 minutes most times to get your drinks. You can also order through the app and pay, that way your order is ready for you. I used the App for the first time on my last visit...wasn't the best experience because I asked if it was ready when I got there, the older man working took my name and then said it wasn't ready. I sat and watched a half dozen orders with a higher number than mine get picked up, so I went and asked again. He said "Not Ready". I could see a bag behind him and I said, "are you sure, that looks like my order?" He seemed a little annoyed, checked and it WAS mine! Turns out that bag was there the whole time, so it was ready when I first arrived. He seemed a little embarrassed but didn't apologize or anything. That one experience isn't enough to make me not love the place though...If things like that continue, I will surely update my review. I've been several times when ordering there and there were never any issues. They are located in a very busy shopping center in the Convoy area. I can usually find a parking space in the lot, but if not, there is street parking and you just walk a little bit. They have plenty of tables inside where you can wait for your order and space outside if you prefer. They also have a restroom for customer which is always a plus. I love the Watermelon Slush! Its very fresh and only Watermelon and Ice! It's so good and you can tell the difference in the sweetness from summer to winter, which I like because it's natural! I have tried the Mango, Melon and Strawberry too. Those ones have an added sweetener and are really good too. I love to get popping Boba added, it's an additional .75 cents and they are generous with it. This location is a little far for me, if it was closer - I would probably be here at least once per week. It's not cheap, but it's a treat and I love it!

Boba shake was good! Ordered something with chocolate but didn't realize it also had peanut butter. Oh well! Still good!

Been coming to it's Boba Time for many years and they never miss. The quality is consistently excellent and the service is great. I also enjoy using the app to earn rewards and order ahead if it gets busy.

My boyfriend and I always love going to It's Boba Time because of how many options they have. We love trying new flavors every time we go here but these are def a couple of our favs. The employees are always helpful with decisions if I can't make up my mind on which drink to get :) the drinks are always made fresh and quickly! There's also a nice lounge area to sit and enjoy drinks w others. Great music too!

First time and was surprised they have a big selection of teas, smoothies, bowls, desserts. Lots of people with plenty of seating. Very hip and great vibes. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean establishment and very colorful. It's definitely a must go to just to try a great boba drink. I will be back..

Have always wanted to stop by here, but there's no dearth of boba places in Convoy. Glad I stopped by though. Prices seem more reasonable than other places. There was a line (which is always a good sign). Cute interior decor, and luckily enough parking around. Drinks tasted good, and boba was not toooo soft, unfortunately. Hope to give this place another try soon!

Came in for the first time the other day with my family. Love all the decorations and the atmosphere!!! The vibes were immaculate . Their menu is sooooo big too! From milk teas to smoothies and coffee (Starbucks who?). They got food too like what more can you ask for. Michael, my cashier, recommended me the strawberry matcha ... and because it was from top 10 I got it in an extra large. Like go big or go home. It was so good! Best believe I will be coming back again. Michael did such a good job choosing that drink for me, that man needs a raise istg My siblings got the a fruit tea (idk what specifically) and cookies and cream shake! They were really good too! Definitely recommend!

Drinks are amazing! One of the best Boba shops in San Diego. Vast selection of flavors and bobas. This establishment only serves bobas and does not have any food options but being surrounded by many food restaurants, this isn't a big deal. Drinks Overall: 5 out of 5 Self-order kiosk is available to assist with line while allowing maximum flexibility to make and fulfill orders. Cashier is open for those wishing for in person assistance and cash payment. I applaud the employees for their hard work to ensure the customers get their drinks in a timely manner. Service Overall: 5 out of 5 Corner store of a busy shopping plaza in Convoy. Like every restaurant or store in Convoy, parking is an issue. Seating is available and plentiful for those wishing to enjoys their drinks right away. Very well decorated. 2 single person restrooms are available but do not get cleaned or attended often. Ambiance Overall: 3 out of 5 Highly recommend!

It's a franchise boba/ bubble tea place. The quality is consistent across locations. And the nice thing about franchises is that they try to come up with new flavors/blends every so often. The hot tea was good, but recommend going full sugar (half sugar came out on the bland side).
