Yelp
LOVE. Will be returning every time I'm in Vegas.
We found Its Sushi by first venturing, and being denied seating, to a restaurant close by. 888 Japanese BBQ, my original target, is a very highly rated, off the strip restaurant that does not take reservations. We arrived at 8pm and were told they were no longer taking waitlist requests, even though the restaurant is open until midnight. With the original plan foiled, we checked the immediate area and saw that there was a sushi restaurant within a 3 minute walk. Though Its Sushi also does not take reservations, we put our name on the waitlist and were seated within 15 minutes.
The best part of Its Sushi is, frankly, everything. The quality of the food was fresh and delicious, the selections were endless, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. Truly I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Let's start with the food. We both chose, and I would strongly recommend, the all-you-can-eat option. It includes EVERYTHING on the menu and costs $35, though some items are limited to one per person and you do need to finish everything you eat otherwise you'll be charged a la carte for what you don't eat. They don't have sashimi perse, but they have various nigiri which is served with a huge slab of fish and about a half tablespoon of rice. They also have the option to order any of the rolls as a half roll, which I loved because it gave us the opportunity to try so many different rolls.
They do have a full bar as well, it is not BYOB, so we started with a bottle of Soju accompanied by salmon carpaccio, tuna & octopus nigiri with the huge slabs of fish I mentioned above, tobiko, seaweed salad, and a seafood salad. The seafood salad was comprised of large chunks of sashimi, including salmon, tuna, whitefish, and yellowtail. It was essentially a bowl of sashimi with some lettuce thrown in. We also ordered an appetizer called "it's the shit", which if I remember correctly was tempura fried crab. The description wasn't on the menu, but it's one of their most popular items and comes with just two pieces so ask your server what it is if you're interested!
For rolls, we did all half orders which comes with 4 pieces. We got a Super Philadelphia since we're cream cheese lovers, the Monica roll, the Lisa Lisa roll, and the Shrimp & Lobster roll. All were excellent! We also ordered the Baked Scallops, the Crispy rice, and the smelt egg. The Crispy rice was topped with pretty spicy peppers, which I personally think it could have done without, and the smelt egg was very similar to tobiko. I topped off my meal with a Green Tea ice cream, also included in the all-you-can-eat. It comes as one scoop in a small cup, the perfect amount in my opinion.
Regarding the service, our waitress was very attentive and got every part of seemingly endless order perfect. We didn't order all at once, so she would check back frequently to see if we wanted to put in more food and was helpful in giving us recommendations and explanations of menu items. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering each course and the runner would tell us what each thing was.
The atmosphere was fun and lively! They had music on and the restaurant was pretty packed, but it wasn't so loud that you felt you had to shout. There were several birthdays, and as such we witnessed a couple sparklers and special birthday-themed songs come on during our meal.
Lastly, the price. This is probably the cheapest, yet one of the BEST meals I've ever had in Las Vegas, and is without a doubt the best all-you-can-eat that I've been able to find anywhere. This is a MUST for sushi lovers, and will be a regular place for me whenever I am in Vegas!
