LOVE this place it was my first time in and the staff was extremely helpful and kind , i got the for appitizers meal the fries are off e charts!!! kale greens are sweet and savory and the mac is good as well. not to mention the amazing customer service from everyone and how could i forget the cornbread ughhh wish i would've gotten more

This establishment was on my must try list for a very long time. I was so excited to support a vegan business. The customer service was lacking, and it took a while for me to receive my food even though I was the only person there for quite a while. The greens were horrible, and so was the Mac and cheese. My "chicken" sandwich was decent. My food was dry as well. Im glad I gave them a try to see what the hype was about.

I love this vegan restaurant. I went here with a fun group of people called the Veggie Outers. Great vegan comfort foods to choose from. Owner and staff are great and very helpful. Salisbury steak meal is my favorite, but I have tried many other things on the menu and have loved nearly all of them. Give them a visit.

-Deluxe Country Fried Chicken Dinner was a disappointment. The seitan used is too thick. If they have the resources, switching to oyster mushrooms would be beneficial. Deep fry them and use that for their chicken substitute. The mashed potatoes and yams were good but the mac and cheese was inedible. -Despite other reviews the Philly cheesesteak I received was the highlight of my order. If I’m eating faux meat, I like to stick to Beyond which is what they use for this item. Bread was prepared correctly and I had the right amount of cheese. - The loaded baked potato had all the toppings quite literally on the top so afterwards you’re left with a very bland, tasteless, baked potato. If they scooped out the inside after they half it, mix it with the toppings, extra vegan butter and cheese then put it back into the shells and topped it again with the bacon and cheese I have a feeling that would be more of a hit.

I forgot everything was vegan! I can't believe my husband ate his food. I can't even get him to eat veggies or a salad. Great portions and the food was good. Excited to come back to try more food on the menu.

Fantastic food and the service was great. Wife had the nachos and I had the fish with fries. We will be back for sure!

Life-changing. Flavorful, hearty, and easily our favorite dish of the day. The kale greens were seasoned to perfection — tender with just the right bite. And don’t even get me started on the Oreo cheesecake… absolutely divine! Rich, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending to a flavorful experience. This place has soul. Wow. The food here is absolutely outstanding. I had the best vegan mac and cheese I've ever had, and I've had a lot of vegan mac and cheese. I got the spicy chicken sandwich. Dope. We got a bunch of sides, a Philly cheese steak, loaded potato and the cheesecake. The cabbage melts in your mouth. The cornbread was so delicious. I dont get to experience these types of flavor profiles at all as a vegan so I 100% recommend this place for vegan and nonvegans (my mom and husband are not vegan)

I'm really into what ITSO Vegan is doing and happy to see a locally owned vegan restaurant between Fort Worth and Dallas. Their motto is "feeding the soul without harming a soul," which clearly is perfect for a vegan soul food restaurant. The menu is classic American comfort food through and through: country fried chicken, Salisbury Steak, a fried fish and shrimp basket, Philly cheesesteak, "monster" mac and cheese, your classic cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, nachos, a fried fish or fried chicken sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams, collard greens, seasoned french fries, cornbread, cheesecake, chocolate cake... and it's all vegan. The prices are also affordable and incredibly reasonable considering the vegan ingredients and quality of food. I actually ordered the most expensive meal on the menu for $16.95, the Salisbury Steak (a gluten free option), and it was fantastic. Really well seasoned and savory and the textures were all just right. Two servings of mashed potatoes with a rich brown gravy and two Beyond Meat (pea protein) patties that I couldn't differentiate from a traditional hamburger patty. All of that still came with two sides, so I got the kale greens and then the French fries to share with my coworker. Meanwhile, my friend had the wonton nachos and I found myself really wishing wontons were gluten free, I just wanted one bite! These nachos are a very generous portion of fried wonton chips topped with taco meat crumbles, cashew queso cheese, fresh tomatoes, shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. Yes yes and yes. The restaurant venue itself is a bit untraditional and almost fast-casual style. When you venture inside you'll meet a host at the counter who will greet you and let you know to scan the QR code at your table to make your order and to pay. Your food will come out shortly and be brought to you, served in disposable containers. It's all very casual and easy going. Comfortable. While we ate at the restaurant, my coworker and I saw lots of people pop in to pick up an order to go. It's nice to see so many people eating meat free, we're definitely trying to do it more often. And that's a lot easier and a lot more delicious with ITSO Vegan nearby.

I was very pleased to find this all vegan spot on a recent pass through Grand Prairie. Itso vegan is a soul food / comfort food spot with a variety of dishes available. I ordered ahead, opting for the country fried chicken plate. It comes with mashed potatoes and two sides. When I got there on a late Friday afternoon, the space (which is large) was mostly empty but not too surprising for that in-between time. The staff member service was very friendly. Unfortunately, one of the sides I ordered was sold out so I subbed for something else. I was a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to kale greens but so it goes. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence but something to look out for. But how was it??? The country fried chicken very much hit the spot and all the sides were super delicious. Itso vegan definitely brings the flavour game so check them out if you can!

The monster Mac so flavorful and good. The Oreo cheesecake was amazing and satisfied my sweet tooth. I really enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak. The greens were amazing and seasoned to the gods. The fish plate was okay, good but probably my least favorite of all the items. I still devoured it!

The food was terrible and the customer service was horrible. Everything was pretty much not available and the store was not busy at all... the nachos was watery and the staff served it to me room temperature as if it was sitting for a while. Very disappointed and will not go back!

Fish sandwich tastes like the real deal. I ordered yams but unfortunately they ran out. The kale greens were bomb though. The young man working there was friendly and very apologetic when I ordered yams just as they ran out. The spot is clean with a good amount of tables. Only reason I'm giving 4/5 is because of the Yama situation. But it's really great food.

I absolutely love the vegan food here. I don't live in the area so I purchased the nachos, the pea protein burger and the fish and chips. I must come back and try 3 new items.

Refused to serve us our food after paying. Sat for an hour and was accused of not paying for food. Paid through their app on apple pay and showed them proof and they didn't believe it. Harassed by the cook in the back named CJ. Just walked out and disputed the charge with my bank. Terrible customer service. i never suggest eating here. there was no available management and was laughed at by this employee named CJ. i will never return. watch out they might accuse you too.

We had the best of food. I was on a short trip and wow food amazing. Young waitress seemed frustrated but we included her in photos and she smiled so hard we felt better.

FOOD WAS REEEEEEEEALLY GOOD!! The husband and I ordered the "Vhilly" Cheesesteak sandwiches and they did not disappoint! The hoagies were huge, they were packed with perfectly seasoned seitan, mushrooms, onions and peppers, and oozing with the most delicious vegan provolone cheese ever... There were options to customize your meal too... such as adding extra mushrooms, leaving off the mayo, etc and my husband added jalapeños to his ... I chose the vegan mac and cheese as my side, and it was pretty good... a bit spicy, but I like spice. I also had the vegan flaxseed cornbread which was a perfect addition. The next time I'm there, I'm grabbing 5 or 10 of them to go!! They're small... The restaurant atmosphere is extremely laid back. Seating is casual and you can order from your table simply by scanning a QR code. Our food came out pretty quickly and was piping hot. The way food should be!! I will DEFINITELY visit ITSOVEGAN the next time we are in Dallas. Chef Char [is Eating Where?]

Edit: I posted this same review on Google and the owner said it was spam. They clearly have incredibly low integrity. I've also added a photo of their menu with a date and time stamp. Well that went downhill very quickly. If I could give them negative stars I would. I noticed that when I tried to order via the yelp app the price of the Villy Cheesesteak was $17.95. When I looked at their website the prices said it was $11.95 so I decided to call my order in to get the lower price. When the woman on the phone said my total it was $29+. I only got the Wontons and the the Villy Cheesesteak which comes to about $24 so I asked her what each item cost. She said that the VC was $14.95 which I then informed her says $11.95 on the website(screenshots provided). I requested a price adjustment (which I would've have made up in the tip bc I always tip them) she said no and I KID YOU NOT... SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE I called back and asked to speak to a manager and the same woman answered and said she was the OWNER then proceeds to say I was speaking to customer service before... LOL and that the PDF menu was outdated... UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE! Every time I come to town for business I make sure I order from this place, I've even brought brought my co-workers here but never again. I checked my bank statements and have ordered from this place 14 times in a 5 month time span. So unfortunate.

I went here for a couple times. Do not recommend dine in -- the air circulation inside is very poor, can hardly focus on the dining due to smell and smoke from frying. The Salisbury Steak tastes good and comes in good portion, but it did not come with mushroom topping as shown in the picture, which is quite disappointing. Despite the high price, all food comes in disposable plastics and makes them look very fast-food like. Felt a little misled there, as it's supposed to be a healthier dine-in place. Came the second time for a to-go order to try out Just the Sides. The server took my specific order for 4 different sides and promised to be able to get a taste of different sides, but I ended up getting 3 of the same sides, which are all cabbages (and a little bit of kale) only. Very disappointed as I promised my son to try out the curly fries. Their chocolate cake though comes in good portion, but has a texture closer to brownies, which makes me feel a little disappointed. They might as well list it as a brownie instead. As a family with 4 vegetarians we try our best to support local vegan and vegetarian restaurants, as well as restaurants with vegetarian or vegan options as much as we can. But as consumers we also expect value in the money spent. We would stay away from restaurants with poor dining environment, lack of integrity, and misleading menu information!

I wanted to love this place, but sadly I didn't. I stopped in for lunch yesterday. I got the fish and shrimp basket with water. Oddly their meals come with a cornbread muffin. The meal consisted of the aforementioned cornbread muffin, vegan shrimp and fish fillets made from jackfruit, and curly fries. The meal came out hot, so that's a plus. The fries and muffin were really good, but the shrimp and fish were not. They had a heavy seasonless crust on them; it was entirely to thick and heavy. They have other items on the menu, but I doubt if I will return to try them.

So today I went and tried this vegan restaurant for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the nachos were. They were flavorful and crispy. I would definitely eat those again. I also tried the spicy chicken sandwich and was not a fan. It tasted very fake and was not flavorful at all. The Mac and cheese was also disgusting and had a very weird flavor. The restaurant is very self serve, you sit down, there is a menu that you look at and you order and pay online. You are brought your food but besides that there's not much other human interaction. Next time I would order the nachos again but would just take it to go!

Back in town for the week, so I'm always looking for new spots that I've never been to before. I saw ITSOVEGAN on Yelp, it was close by, so I checked it out. This place is incredible! I normally don't give 5 stars on one visit, but based on the service, food, and everyone else's ratings, a 5 is well deserved! I ordered the Salisbury Steak with potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, and a side of greens. My order came out relatively quickly. The steaks were great. Beyond patties covered in gravy. The gravy really made this dish...it took the Steak and potatoes to a different level. My favorite part of the meal had to be the greens though....so awesome! I always try to make greens, but these were on point...the best that I've had in years. I highly recommend this spot, whether you are vegan or not...try it!!!!

I would give this place 100 stars if I could. Amazing food, impeccable vibes, and excellent customer service. I'm not even from here but when I fly in it's a MUST that I come in to eat and support. I highly recommend the nachos and the Salisbury steak as an absolute MUST TRY. I also brought my non vegan mom in and she almost bit her finger off talking about how good everything is.

Uninspired and unimpressive. Hostess was cordial but not overly friendly or helpful. Restaurant was hot inside. A/C would kick on occasionally for a few moments of relief. They don't bring drinks (and they charge for water) until you've placed your order...on their website. Which is fine if your restaurant isn't in a cell dead zone. We wound up having to ask for printed menus (which were out of date) and order from them. Following the wonton trend, the nachos were crispy and delicious with a nice amount of toppings. The monster mac and cheese reportedly tasted better than it looked. The chicken sandwich was dry and bland. My main beef however (no pun intended) was with the Vhilly cheesesteak. In The Style Of a cheesesteak? Not even close. Chunks of Beyond burger (rather than sliced seitan or tofu), sautéed mushrooms, and a hunk of unmelted vegan provolone on a roll that dwarfed the meager toppings. No pepper or onions. And this is one of your signature dishes?! Too expensive for mediocre food and a mediocre experience.

Visiting from California, and I called and spoke with Alijah! I was really impressed with his customer service over the phone. He asked if I wanted to order ahead. I've honestly never had an employee offer something that makes so much sense. I had no idea what to select and he helped me select some items. Additionally, I went to pick up the food and he brought the food out to my car. And when it comes to the food... omg... the fries and chicken sandwich was on point. Can't wait to try Alijah's desert choice for me. Oh..the restaurant looked very organized and clean with a chill energy and great music. Can't wait to come back to Texas and support this stellar blacked owned business.

This was the best vegan food I've ever had, period! I couldn't believe it was vegan honestly. Get the chicken nuggets, life changing haha.

Why this place wasn't busier I have no idea. Food was excellent. I had Mac and cheese which was amazing along with some greens and cornbread. I also got a piece of cheesecake and ate it later (delicious!) because I was so full after my lunch. Friendly staff and plenty of parking.

Come on grab a menu, seat yourself and order at the kiosk. They bring your food out to you in black to go containers. Must be a Covid thing, but it works because then you won't have to ask for a to go container if needed. Smartttttt I order the "vhilly cheesesteak" and it was pretty tasty. The bun was nice and soft, and the "beyond meat" was very well seasoned. Although I'd rather have the real thing, it was quite impressive. Pleasantly surprised to say the least. One thing I have to add is: The fountain water was amazing here. Definitely something to be mentioned. It Tasted better than bottled water. I definitely Was not a fan of the macaroni, but I guess that's what happens when you are not a true vegan, and you're used to the real thing! My cousin ordered the fish and shrimp basket and it was pretty good as well. The sauce that comes with it was very good.

Worst vegan food ever!! Food has no taste! I tried other vegan places and they are way better than this one.

ITSO DELICIOUS. I thought the reviews were too good to be true. But these dishes take you back to simpler times. When every bite is just the answers to all of life's questions.. Who am I? I am so happy right now. What's life all about? Compassion, love, and food for the SOUL. Where do I go from here? Back to ITSO as many times as possible. It gets better! Anthony brought the energy to make the whole experience tie together. He was thoughtful, kind, and welcoming. He truly embodied the HEART you show up to a vegan place for. We will be back! And until then, this girl has something new to dream about!

Just keeping it real this place was initially exciting to check out. This space is cool and decor is decent. Was digging the hollween decorations. The food the for me was edible at best. Fish and shrimp is kinda touch and chewy. Had to drown it in hot sauce. Mac and cheese wasn't that bad however the greens ARE REALLY GOOD. Unfortunately I probably wouldn't return if back in town unless I'm just really craving greens...

We enjoy this place as a family, it's the ONLY place our baby son will eat Vegan mac and cheese. As a Vegan this place for me is my Vegan junk food / fast food option for those cheat days. We eat mainly fresh, raw Vegan and if I cook Vegan it's not processed it's still made from scratch. I think this place is perfect for people looking to switch over to a Vegan lifestyle or someone trying to incorporate non animal based meals into their routine. My husband and I favorite (the only item we order) is the nachos fully loaded. Our sons enjoy the Mac and cheese as well as the nachos. They had the ChiXen & Waffles before and it was okay . The waffle was extremely thick and the ChiXen is Soy based I believe if it's not it is definitely processed so I won't allow them to have it again. Definitely a place to check out, the music is good and usually there is a nice staffing. Just recently it was horrible only one person taking orders for to go also taking orders for dine in and also running the food SOLO. The manager came in after we were there for about 20 mins and ran everything and help catch things up and even gave us a slice of chocolate cake to apologize. The cake was moist and yummy.

For starters this was me and my kiddos first time visiting an all vegan restaurant! When i tell you everything was vegan and everything was incredible, man. So walking in me and my people didn't know what to expect but the service from Cj set the tone! There was diversity, plenty of seating, cool vibes and from that moment on i just knew the food would be top tier. When i ordered everything i even double checked about the "bacon" that came on my ITSO burger because i am 90% pescatarian and i absolutely don't eat pork or beef and rest assured as advertised EVERYTHING IS VEGAN ahaha. Although it took some time which is always a good sign they make everything fresh to order plus with it being busy lunch hour everything came out fantastic. i look forward to returning with friends and trying a couple more different options. So glad this gem is noted in my book!

My vegan sister came to visit and picked this restaurant for lunch. I usually do not eat at vegan restaurants, but I was very surprised with how tasty everything was. I appreciated how they had curbside pickup. We placed our order and we're able to pick up the items within 25 minutes. My sister ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with candied yams and I ordered the ITSO classic burger. I recognize that this review is coming from someone who isn't vegan, but I do want to rave about the quality of the food. My burger tasted similar to a burger made with meat. I almost forgot that this was a vegan dish. My sister loved her food. Definitely bringing her back here when she visits again.

The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing! I tried the villy cheesesteak sandwiches with fries and I could not believe it was vegan meat! I was eating with my brother who has a gluten allergy and all foods worked within his diet. I tasted his greens alongside the mac and cheese!! It was almost like soul-food on a weekend! The location is sort of hidden but it is a treasure! I highly recommend this place if you're ever in Grand Prairie, TX

I was looking forward to this but was sadly disappointed. We got a "just the sides" meal. Mac and cheese, greens, and mashed potatoes. None of it was very flavorful. Maybe the entrees are better but I'm not going to take the chance.

This place is awful. Wanted to try their food but they were out of every menu item I chose. Place was dirty, nobody in there. Will not try to go back.

Recently became vegan and it's been quite a transition. Decided to try this place out and I was shocked. I had to check the menu to make sure it was vegan. Food was amazing. My husband isn't vegan and he tried it and he was shocked himself. He didn't believe this could possibly be vegan. Will definitely be coming back!!!

Very good! Very fast! Y'all so juicy and flavorful. I'm already addicted ! The nachos Came with lettuce tomatoes cheese chips and meat (i put guacamole on the side) also got the collards (made me drool lol Highly recommended. I've been trying to get to this place for some time and I'm so very pleased! Still the best vegan spot in this area UPDATE Literally have been here 3 times since my last review and honestly it hasn't been meeting expectations. Today, I came in to sit in and eat and they never came to take my order. I had to get up and place it at the register. There was only 3 other people (2 already had their food). I sat there for about 15-20 min before I noticed that they didn't want to ask my order. I'm honestly disappointed because I dont like leaving bad reviews. The previous time I came they told me my order would be ready in 10 min. I arrived 20 min later and asked for my order they told me they were just putting it in and it would be 10 min. 30 min go by and food was almost ready. The customer service was not good at all today and normally it's great. I really hope they can fix it. Probably going to take a break from here for a while :(

I thoroughly enjoyed my nachos. Not a fan of the cornbread muffin. The Villysteak was off the chain delicious. Would like to try some other items next time.

Candied yams are fire. Got the deluxe chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes with kale, greens style. The shrimp and fish plate with curly fries was also pretty good. Crispy and the shrimp had a nice texture - and actually looked like shrimp lol. Only thing I didn't like was that my food was plated in a to go tray - not really what I was expecting as we dined in.

First of, I am not vegan. Came here on a Friday because of lent season (no meat Fridays). This place had so many great reviews on yelp, so I knew it was the perfect time to try it. Came in around 6:30pm and there was another couple there. Place was empty. We ordered: Fried Fish Filet Jackfruit with collard greens - Tasted just like fish. The collard greens was too sweet. Pass on that. ITSO Burrito - good amount and it was good. Salisbury Steak Dinner over mashed potatoes & gravy - the steak tasted rubbery, and it did not have enough seasoning. Just plain. Overall, we didn't have any problem with service. Food came out 5 minutes after we ordered, and the staff were attentive. Just wasn't a big fan of the food.

Amazing food, great service, and even better music selection (old school hole in the wall vibe)! This is the spot if you're looking for a soul food restaurant. You won't be disappointed! We tried the nachos, Salisbury steak and vhilly cheesesteak (not pictured because it was eaten sooo fast)! And to top it off the Oreo cheesecake. It was knock you out and drag you down the street good! !!

All I can say is you are crazy if you do not eat here. The husband had the Salisbury steak with greens, macaroni and cheese and corn bread-simply amazing. The nachos are to die for. Great staff! So friendly! Great vegan food!

Omg! This food is delicious and I am NOT vegan! I heard about this place for the first time on K104 on April 26. I was very skeptical, especially with how the owners described she makes the cheese for the nachos. When I arrived, I was greeted kindly and my food came out fast. When I tell y'all the nachos are truly bomb! I'll definitely be back!

I'm not vegan but tried it anyway. I've eaten there a couple of times. I had the seafood platter? I just wasn't impressed. I've had much better and creative vegan food. The menu was very basic, nothing outstanding.

Last time I was here it was a 5+, this time it was a 2- so I'm giving them 3. From the first visit: Finally a vegan place in Grand Prairie that is up to par with the best of them in the metroplex! ITSO is a family owned and operated restaurant serving quality, homemade vegan food that is amazing. Brought my non-vegan friend here last wee before a concert and she was completely wowed by the food. She had the wonton nachos. Loaded with spicy toppings that were fresh and tasty with a variety of textures and flavors to tantalize your taste buds. I chose a chicken sandwich with a side of mash and gravy. Good Lord, was it tasty! The chicken was cooked just right with spectacular flavor which in my experience is hard to do when vegan places make their own chicken. The potatoes were creamy and delicious with a savory gravy. Here's today's experience: So, I'm here again and repeating the chicken sandwich however was very surprised to get a deal with a lunch special price, sweet! I splurged on a creamy rich piece of strawberry cheesecake slice. My order got lost and I never did get the cheesecake. Very disappointing service today. I didn't want to slam them on the review because my first experience was so good. I'm very glad this wasn't my first experience or I probably would t be back. Hoping next time is like the first visit. I said something to the guy who took my order that I had already been there 30 minutes with no food and 2 other tables had already gotten their food who came in after me and he was like, oh well. Kitchen is confused, they got backed up. I on the other hand can see the kitchen, they're flowing right along and they obviously lost my order along the way. I get it, mistakes happen but how about an apology. How about comping my dessert? How about anything other than a oh well shoulder shrug not giving a crap?

First time having vegan chicken nuggets, and tacos. I must say that it was interestingly delicious. The chicken nuggets were made out of some type of protein. I'd go back to visit, if I'm in the neighborhood.
