Itsutsu

It was a small place but very welcoming and elegant. We sat at the bar and ordered a set. It was tasty but not as tood as I expected.

Superior soba restaurant with sublime atmosphere and exquisite service. We had the set menu which included appetizer bites and then cold soba, warm soba soup and sweets after. All perfection. Highlights of the appetizer were the sushi and beef. Soba noodles had tooth and texture and I will be dreaming about the soup for days. Do not skip this spot.

Order/注文: Itsutsu set / 五セット Price/値段: 3200 yen / 円 Worth it for its price. The set consists of 3 rounds of dishes: 1st round: (clockwise from the top) saba sushi, potato salad, tofu, fried tofu with okra with sesame and sesame sauce, roast duck with sweet sauce. 2nd round: soba noodles. And, they had soba soup (4th photo) which was delicious and it was unlimited refills! 3rd round: dessert with different types of nuts called seven treasure (shippou, 七宝). As you eat, you can taste many different flavours at once, like a flavour explosion 💥. The menu changes each time. It was a wonderful experience and I may come back to try a different menu someday. I would recommend anybody to try this restaurant.

This is much more than a soba noodle shop. We had the Omakase Course and it was one of the best experiences we had in Japan. It was calm, clean, quiet, and delicious. There was something so honest about the food and the atmosphere that I felt relaxed. I pre booked a vegetarian set course and my partner had the traditional set course. They food is locally sourced and has some of the best local Sake on the menu. We both loved all of our dishes. Highly recommend.

The food is great, but the service is lacking for the price. One person in our party had decent Japanese knowledge and they made very little effort to help us. Customers were more helpful than waiters.

An atmosphere where you have to keep your voice down so may not be an option for large groups. The food was great and attention to detail very high. Great soba and soba Yu as well as a really nice dessert that is very small but packed with flavor.

Mackerel sushi is the best. The taste of hot soba was quite unique..... The atmosphere is a little intimidating.

Beautiful restaurant, great food, seasonal ingredients, incredible service. Very friendly and approachable. Right near Daitoku-ji. So if you're visiting, you can eat here right afterwards. Go in through the back.

Itsutsu is a amazing soba ya in Kyoto, really loved they served perfect simple way pure soba, no needs any garnishes to mix the flavor! And their soba congee is so good to warm up the body! Really love it!

Great soba and tempura. Set menus are a bit on the pricier end, soba set is more than enough. ¥5000 yen for my wife and I for dinner.
