The Florentine steak was excellent—perfectly seared on the outside, nicely seasoned, and juicy and pink inside with a rich flavour. Just a heads-up that it’s served rare, which is the traditional way. The sides were great too: crisp potatoes, sweet roasted vegetables, and a fresh salad that balanced everything out. We also tried the Tuscan sausage, which was a little salty but still delicious and added some nice variety to the meal.
Service, however, was a letdown. Our young waiter seemed impatient and his tone changed when I asked a few questions about the menu. He also set the raw steak on the table without saying a word or checking if we were happy with the cut before cooking. His attitude felt off, and we didn’t feel comfortable asking for anything in case he got moody. It really dampened the mood, especially since we were there to celebrate my sister’s birthday.
