Beautiful upscale restaurant overlooking the city. It's an indoor outdoor restaurant, with a unique setting. The staff are super friendly and the food is excellent. At first I was a skeptical about the food, but once I took one bite, I was hooked. Everything was great, I had to change my drink once, only because it had too much Gin it, but our waitress Lisa Marie was absolutely wonderful to my boyfriend and I, she suggested a better drink for me to try and I tasted great. She took care of us that evening, we had a great evening. I will recommend this place to my friends.

The location and views are amazing, but that’s about it. Food: ⭐️⭐️ kinda basic and you need to constantly need to go after the sever to get items. Parking: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not bad but you have to vale Customer Service: ⭐️ Rude and not very attentive Note: if you are coming with a group every has to be in front of them in order to seat you. They do have bottomless mimosa. Cake fee: $5 Overall could I come back? eh idk probably not.

A great LA spot with wonderful people and food that is delicious & displayed nicely. Beatrice and Athena were absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived - super kind with smiles that make your day. The scallops and filet Mignon were delicious and also recommend the antipasta as an appetizer.

This place was great. The hostess was amazing and so accommodating! The interior is really interesting and the exterior is beautiful. I ordered lamb which I loved it was delicious and filling. We also had an appy which was small but tasty. My date ordered salmon and the server said they would both be meals however mine came out as a meal and his came out as basically just the salmon. He ended up needing to get a burger after as he was still quite hungry. I wish this had the option for a 4.5 stars!

We went here for our anniversary dinner and had a good time. I got the duck sausage gnocchi & my boyfriend ordered the chicken gnocchi (his gnocchi was stuffed with cheese and does not look like the traditional one as the one on my plate) we both enjoyed our meals. We ordered the bread appetizer and all 3 options were good! We also got a cocktail that we enjoyed. Our waiter was very helpful as it was our first time & helped us out with recommendations and popular dishes. I reserved online & added that it was our anniversary and they helped us celebrate by writing it on our dessert. The tiramisu was soo good. Plus the view is incredible!

I've had lovely brunch meals twice at the Ivory on Sunset so far, and greatly enjoyed it each time, despite a few detractions. First off, the view in the outside seating area is spectacular! Being seated outside is a MUST, although make sure to get some adequate shade, as it can become uncomfortably hot out there and sometimes tables don't have any umbrellas to provide shade. The service here is very slow. The waiters are all friendly and helpful, but it can oftentimes take a very long time to have your order taken, and then have the food brought out. Prepare for a good hour or two, at the very least here, because of how slow it is. The food itself is really good! I love the breakfast burrito and the chicken sandwich, and usually get a salad to go along with it. I enjoy everything here, although it's a bit pricey, probably because of the location and popularity of this place. The food isn't the best I've had, but it's definitely still very good. One thing I won't do again is get the orange juice. $12 for just two extremely small glasses of orange juice?! No thank you! It can also be very hard to get seated if you don't have reservations ahead of time, so plan ahead! All in all, a wonderful brunch spot. Prepare for heavy crowds and expensive prices, but I find it worth it to go occasionally because I love the outdoor seating, the views, and the food also tastes delicious. I'll be back regularly!

I was invited by a friend for a birthday brunch celebration this past weekend - not only did I love the restaurant and the food but the service was amazing. I have a walking one year old babygirl who will not stay still, however, the staff here was super sweet, and friendly with her which I LOVED! THANK YOU GUYS SOO MUCH for that. In terms of the food, two thumbs up for sure! My husband had the chilaquilles while I had The Ham Benedicts, both plates were super delicious! Simply one of my greatest experience, the vibe there was amazing, definitely going again.

A flashy place where you can see and be seen. The ambience is pleasant and the view is nice! The food is a bit pricey for what you get, but the service is friendly with a smile albeit a bit lackluster.

Spot was a vibe. Downtempo and Lofi beats exude from the speakers. Thong clad rumps of hotel guests and LA's most stylish are frequently found here. A margarita will run you over $30 and a salad with protein? $60 frivolous spenders unite, you can easily blow $500 or more here in an afternoon with friends. Cheapest room rates are on Hotel Tonight, we'll be back as it heats up. Bartender was inexperienced and seemed flustered with only a handful of patrons at the bar. Service was a nightmare. Paid for 2 very watered down drinks for $45 using ApplePay then the bartender claimed the transaction did not go thru even though they had received the funds. I asked to speak to the manager who admitted that this sort of thing happens in their register system ALL THE TIME, yet he made me pay again. So now I've just paid $90 for 2 drinks! Are you kidding me?! He claimed that because the transactions are pending they won't receive their money until Monday. How is this MY problem or my fault?!!!! Grrrr! I will follow up this review on Monday to update whether Alex will refund the mistake they've made in double charging me. In the meantime, I strongly advise that you avoid this place at all cost unless you just like throwing away your money in a scam business. If I weren't there with a group of friends I probably would've made a bigger fuss. I feel so violated.

Let's start off by saying partying anywhere in la will be probably pricey and a rip off. Where do I start? Got to the entrance the guy out front says the dress code is no shorts. So while he's explaining this to me, I had on shorts yes but nice ones. It is summer after all. Let's in a guy who looks like he was wearing his gym attire. Not shorts but baggy sweats. That guy is ok to go in. My friends were having a private event, they said it wasn't even close to being half full inside. ON A SATURDAY. And they wouldn't let me in when I was willing to spend money? GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE. seriously I hope whoever runs this place sees this review. Get fucked. I hope your venue closes. Would let people in looking sloppy but not me. In closing fuck this place will never go back and will tell everyone I know to do the same. FUCK THIS PLACE.

The Skylar is a classic staple Hollywood elite bar and it's always tricky to get in on those hit vibrant Friday and Saturday nights. My best experience here was when I went in my 20's with a fairly large group of 7-8 people. It is already hard to get in with just 2 but your chances go down significantly when you roll up with a group any larger than that. But we were young, eager, and had a desire to check out one of the coolest bars in town. So when we approach the front, the big tall bouncer sees the size of our group and sizes us up seeing that we're not yet the established high status clientele that they're used to catering but he could see our young energetic vibrancy we were exuding. So he says we're pretty full right now but I'll let you guys in if you can sing a song or chant. Being that I was in a sorority at UCLA I knew the UCLA Fight Song. So I excitedly raise my hand and say I could sing the chant. So I jump right into the following song of the "Sons of Westwood:" "We are sons of Westwood. And we hail to blue and gold True to thee our hearts will be Our hearts will not grow old Then pumping my arms alternately shouting. "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" Bruins roam the hill of Westwood By the blue pacific shore And when we chance to see A man from USC Every Bruins starts to roar! Then I'd lead into the slow progression of clapping very slowly roaring my volume steadily louder as I stated U...(punch a fist into the air Then following with 3x claps) C...(punch a fist into the air Then following with 3x claps) L...(punch a fist into the air Then following with 3x claps) A...(punch a fist into the air Then following with 3x claps) Then pumping my fist rapidly shouting, " UCLA! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" Since this song is a naturally uplifting song and I'd clearly demonstrated a dedication to a performance with the pumping of my arms and fist which also included the verses of the the entire song the bouncer looked at me with a smirk and said, "Alright, you guys can go in." I jumped up and down in joy and we walked right in feeling like we were walking on clouds. This place has that effect on you cause it's still the spot where you want to be.

People are going to come here regardless because of the location/view/casa Madera but it's disappointing that the service at skybar was so condescending. The old man behind the bar working 9/6 at 10:30 pm was so rude for no reason, my guest and I were the only two people at the bar so there's no reason to stress or be a smart-ass. As someone who has worked as a bartender for 10 years, I was disappointed with the immediate bad service by that guy. However, he perked up when bringing over the check and surely didn't mind accepting the 20% tip.

I love this bar and it's one of my favorite bars in LA! I've been to this bar many times and really love the atmosphere, the beautiful pool and the rooftop view! Also great customer service and friendly doorman and staff. I have a great memory of this place and it'll always be my favorite go to bar in LA!

Street parking can be a chore, but fortunately I lucked out and found a meter spot out front. Watch those signs. Located above the pool. It's basically an open room w/ benches along the perimeter. Small bar. Small space. The vibe is chill. The staff is chill. Relatively tame on a Wednesday night. In comparison, the next door restaurant was a scene. It's not a bad place to hang out. But I preferred lounging by the pool. Maybe not a four star place, but three stars seems unfair.

Came here for a big birthday bash. Excellent ambiance, good DJ, fun crowd. Shellshocked by the fact that they automatically add a $4 gratuity every time you order a drink. I got a $21 rail drink and another one was $27. I'm not sure how kosher it is business-wise to charge customers pre-set gratuity without letting them be the judges of the quality of the service. But it feels messed up. The bartenders were nice but the gall of this business... feels worthy of a better business bureau report.

A cute rooftop in the WeHo neighborhood. I went on a Sunday so it was really just me and my friend. Which was perfect in my case I could just take photos anywhere! It's a great place to come and lounge with your friends. I wish the skybar was sitting a little higher to catch better views of the city. Nevertheless, it's beautiful, and the drinks are delicious!

I absolutely recommend this beautiful bar! The drinks were fantastic and the service was amazing. Such a friendly staff! My husband and I stumbled on this bar one night and we had a blast!

Our experience here was amazing, and I attribute it completely to the hostess Marissa! One of the best hostesses I've come across in a long time in LA. She was welcoming, sweet, and accommodating to everyone that would arrive. She was on top of her sht running around clearing out tables, seating people, calling servers on our behalf, and more. A++

Good was ok. Bar food that was extremely expensive. They seem understaffed. They don't seem to care about you or your table.

The pool is amazing and everyone treats you like the way you would want to be treated. Food is excellent, ambience is casual upscale and the people are of course sexy.

This place has a great vibe. You enter from inside of the hotel, and then head up to the rooftop. When we went, it was not very crowded and the service was good. The drinks are a little pricey, but are very good and worth the money. I did expect it to be a higher rooftop and look over downtown and it is not that. But it is still worth the trip just for the vibe.

I asked for a lemonade with sprite- NO LIQUOR- and got charged $19.67. For a soda??? smh not coming back.

The vibe here was kinda weird and the people we met here fuckin sucked! I don't think I would return here in the future. You can do better and go elsewhere. It's not bad for $20 at entry but it's not that crazy.

Just paid $60 for 2 of the shittiest espresso martinis I've ever seen. He didn't ask me what vodka I wanted just said "you're getting Tito's" and the drink didn't even come with beans or a frothy top laughable for a place like this

Came in on a Monday afternoon and there was no one there so nice to have the space. Good option in West Hollywood. Drinks are about $19, and gratuity is added on automatically.

SkyBar. We've seen you in all different incarnations from celebrity hot spot to your pool parties to our mid-week 'community pool' getaway and every time your hospitality exceeds expectations and keeps us returning for more. For those of you who haven't been I'd describe it as a cocktail bar with a pool, as anyone (staying at the Mondrian or not) can come by for a drink and sit in a window booth overlooking the city of WeHo or to work on your tan poolside. Some might not think that's novel but there aren't many hotel pools you can relax at without being a guest or paying for a day pass. You'll probably find your drink on their extensive cocktail menu but if not the bartenders can pretty much make anything from classics to whatever you can look up online (within reason). Prices are what you'd expect for a hotel bar and keep in mind standard gratuity is now automatically added. The pandemic closed down the adjacent restaurant on the hotel grounds so currently the fare is from a nearby eatery that is delivered, however in mid-January '23 a modern Mexican restaurant named Casa Madera (from the same group that owns Toca Madera and Tocaya) is debuting and should provide more options. In the winter SkyBar has the entire pool + deck clear tented and it has a greenhouse effect going on so when it's sunny outside (and no matter the actual temperature) it feels like summer never left including needing to dip in the pool to cool off - we were literally sweating the day after Christmas. The tent also keeps out the weather, it poured on NYE for hours and the place kept dry. They've recently installed a couple TV's by the bar and bar seating to enjoy watching sports during the day. Their summer pool parties have become legendary with various promotional groups bringing in international DJ's (typically house music) and it's a see-and-be-seen environment so you might want to lay off those carbs and salt. From Taylor at the door to Lo and Jaimes behind the bar to Jorge working his tail off, they are always there to make your visit more enjoyable and are just great people. Whether more towels are needed, you want your drink made with modifications or just make casual conversation you are completely covered without feeling like you've inconvenienced someone. I've read other reviews commenting on the big parties that are thrown here and those experiences depend a lot on the companies putting them on with a lot of factors in play, some are huge hits and some fall flat. I'll say this about any evening out, it's what you make of it, so come in with a plan to have fun and you will.

My fiance and I brought our mothers here after dinner for our Mothers Day weekend, and they had the best time! The view of the city is beautiful! Casey behind the bar gave great recommendations for drinks, and they were so delicious! It was definitely the highlight of our weekend!

I'm very disappointed with my visit. It's surprising to find positive reviews for this place, almost as if they're paying for them. The bouncers were needlessly rude, terrible music, our drinks got mixed up, and the strange tactic of making people wait in the cold, despite the nearly empty venue seemed like an attempt to create an illusion of popularity.

I have been to Skybar a few times for the amazing view and fun pool environment, but overall the bartender Kasey was the best part of the experience. He provides amazing service, makes the best cocktails, and is by far the friendliest bartender there. I can't recommend him enough!

Update: just came from here although the day party was just over, the door guy let me in, no issue. Interesting, this place always brings good vibes! I never have an issue whenever I go here! Xoxo

It's the place to see and be seen. Staff are all friendly and despite being in the heart of Hollywood, everyone leaves their attitudes at the door to just have a good time.

Despite having the tickets bouncers made people wait in line for over 2 hours. People cut the line and went in without tickets just because they knew the bouncers. I saw an individual who knew the bouncer and tried to take 2 girls in but because they were under 21 they didn't let them in . This place is inconsiderate about people, I am totally disappointed.

I had the best night here tonight. Caroline was the best server ever. She was the best server ever so kind and understanding. I love her. And will definitely come back for the strong drinks!!!

Very unsafe! The last event I went to was in August and I vowed I'd never go again. It is super unsafe to walk through for women. The spaces are too large between many of the planks and our heels got caught more than once. The stairs are terrifying. You can't even reach the rails to walk down the stairs, they have all of these very large potted plants blocking you. Both sets of stairs, walking up to the pool and up to the terrace bar are like this. Also, the steps are dimly lit. It's a huge lawsuit waiting to happen. I'm sure there is some sort of building code violation. I'm boycotting this place until they fix it. I'm hoping they do.

What a fantastic and unique spot! Enjoy a fantastic and refreshing drink poolside with great views of Los Angeles. Super friendly staff! I was not a hotel guest, but walked in to enjoy the great vibes of their establishment, and they treated me like gold! Will definitely return!

Nice location parking was tough had to park in another building because valet was full, tbh nothing special very weird chilled vibe, drinks were ok with a random pool in the middle, DJ was no good with his long early 2000 music, good place for a quick drink but not for a long hangout.

SkyBar was my go-to when I stepped into this city a long time ago. Staying at the Mondrian ensured entry, and this was definitely the place to be. During my early day pool visits, the bartender used to have plastic cups of pretzel Goldfish crackers which in turn, make you thirsty. Everyone wins! The view of the city on the far side of the pool was beautiful day or night, and the giant daybed always had way too many people on it at any given time. The waitresses all looked like mermaids and the crowd was an interesting mix of foreigners and trendy local who were in the business of some sort. I met a guy who claimed he was into producing 'films of an adult nature' and offered an invitation up to his suite. Even though I would have liked to have seen the nicer rooms, I declined since I wasn't interested in dying or worse on this trip. Well SkyBar still exists, and although the upstairs bar has changed significantly in appearance than what I recalled, they still attract a huge crowd-especially in summer-so you know they're doing something right.

I came here for a fun Friday night and that's exactly what I had. There was no cover charge and the crowd was light and joyous. The bartender, Jaimes, was super kind and welcoming and I look forward to seeing him again. The aesthetics were out of this world, sitting around the gorgeous pool under the moonlight with views of LA, couldn't beat that.

The employees are so rude here and it completely ruined my night. Wouldn't ever recommend anyone to come here. Went one time and will never come back.

Last year waitresses were energetic, helpful, and positively great to be around. This year, it's like they got a set of new waitresses who have attitude when asked for a simple napkin. This place is so bad now

I've been coming here for a couple of years now. Glad to see this place back after lockdowns and adjusting to the pandemic of it all. Still lively as it was pre-pandemic too. Fun place, great vibes, a lot of good looking people, but high priced drinks and long lines for them, so very West Hollywood lol. However bartender and staff are nice and really do a good job of handling long drink lines. Definitely wanna come back here for a summer pool party

My boyfriend and I are in town from The Bay Area, and we wanted to check out some of LA's hot spots because business and pleasure, duh. The iconic Skybar was top of our list. We went to Saturdays pool party and had a blast! Taylor at the door was a peach, and we got in with no problems, the bartenders poured drinks with the quickness (highly recommended the red headed mule!) and dj Kristina Kova rocked the house! Gorgeous crowd, delish drinks, amazing music and friendly staff. Five stars Skybar, and we will definitely be back!

This place is always busy and always bumpin'. Can't say I have ever had a bad experience at Skybar in all the times that I have been there for pool parties, private events, fashion shows, birthdays, and screenings. I have come to understand that this venue can literally cater to any type of event and always has the best-looking staff that is at your beck and call. Seriously, ask anything and someone is right there within minutes of your request- now that's what you call exceptional service. The best part about Skaybar besides the food, drinks, & ambiance, is that if you have deep pockets and feeling too drunk or want to keep the party going you can walk over to the Mondrian and book a hotel room for the night. It's a win-win. Two-party thumbs up!

I went here for lunch. The food quality was on par with Applebee's but you're paying a premium given the location and view. If you want to go eat somewhere hip and be seen, this is a good spot. Service was great though!

We were lucky enough to come during an evening that was slow and quiet. Given that information, we were allowed inside by the bouncer without being on a guestlist or making reservations. I do notice that other reviewers had issues but fortunately my experience was different, thank god. I can only imagine the nightmare on a busy night. The inside is stunning. Hands down. I'm a huge sucker for pool views, décor and good drinks. I don't mind expensive drinks if it tasted great, but I thought the drinks were sub-par. Perhaps I had a bad bartender but both drinks turned out to be more watered down and alcohol ratio was skimp. Overall, good view but drinks were not quite up to standard compared to other places I've been to. I'd say it's a nice place to check out, walk around and catch up with friends just to tour around and soak in the view. Come during a non-busy day!

Great place to be. One of my summer/ spring hangouts for day pool functions. Their events attract a lively group of people . Do not come here if you're not ready to have fun.

WOW! I came here on a Sunday evening when it was pretty dead, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful, scenic views of LA, and the modern music that was playing! Ahh, it just made me envision the wonderful life I will have one day surrounded by beauty, glamour, and upscale things (TMI) LOL! Nevertheless, the service was excellent and the friendly bartender informed me how celebrities frequent this place and my glass of champagne was top notch with fresh raspberries, yum :) I love Skybar and the friendly customer service. I can't wait to come back!
