The Best Ramen Shops in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"This is one of the Little Tokyo empire’s newest locations, going for a hip vibe with a focus on ramen, yakatori, and shabu shabu. It serves a variety of ramen soup: tonkotsu and spicy tonkotsu with a pork broth; shoyu, seasoned with soy sauce; and miso flavored. Also available and handy in the heat is the cold ramen option, which is more a cold salad using all the ramen ingredients and no broth." - Eater Staff

I happened to be in town from Slidell and wanted to check out one of my favorite ramen places. Sadly, this was extremely disappointing. The ramen broth was good, but the toppings were cold and made the ramen taste bland, even with spicy oil. You could tell the pork chasu had been sliced cold and just dumped in the ramen. The egg was completely hard boiled. My coca-cola had more flavor than the ramen. The customer service was ok. Dont recommend this place anymore.

I arrive here with a friend who is his first in the U.S. and decide to eat here. It was good and the service was fantastic. Atmosphere is great and more for who are really into the theme.

I absolutely love the food, the service, the ambiance. It's beautiful to grab a bite here at night. The food is delicious and very consistent. I've been ordering from this place for years, Do not let the parking lot fool you. The food comes out quick, you eat quickly. They are very attentive, offer plenty of refills and the plates are beautiful. The staff has a very serving attitude and the portions are large. I ordered my favorite roll: the po boy roll, it is a must try especially if you are not a local. I also ordered the really delicious shrimp and chicken hibachi dinner. This place is a Gem.

Lowkey feels like this place could be tucked away in some Japanese alley, complete with cyberpunk-esque vibes courtesy of the panoramic orange tinted glass wall separating the dining room & kitchen. Be sure to check the specials board when you walk in (I always do & regret it after ordering). Not pictured but an absolute must try; the edamame hummus with an olive tempenade, and the most perfectly toasted, soft pita bread, pre-cut & served on the side. You’ll be fighting over the last piece, no joke. Grab a couple of Sapporos and Kampai the night away, surrounded by fine original art paying homage to iconic videos games & anime. The sake is always high quality and they keep it flowing with tentative & enthusiastic service. With a menu expansive enough to take your time exploring, I’ve still yet to have a meal that didn’t absolutely satisfy in every way. Never been? Make this your next date night spot and thank me later 🕺🏼 After getting sloshed like an overworked Japanese salaryman, head next door and get a face full of white powder…I’m taking about beignets, of course. The perfect way to top off a mini trip to Shinjuku, don’t ya think? Well quit reading this and put this place into your plans. Oh, and the soundtrack?! I was bustin a damn move in here when I went cause the DJ was just outdoing themselves with 90s dance club classics, my kryptonite! Check it out & write your own review, tell em Dalton sent ya.

I honestly didn’t have the highest hopes for here because 1. I lived in Japan for a few months and 2. I went to another ramen place in New Orleans and was extremely disappointed. But this ramen here? Yea they must of went to Japan and learned a few things. Because it was so good! Not too heavy not watery. Large portions and flavorful. I also got the udon soup and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. The noodles don’t taste like they are straight out of a pack. If they told me they made them fresh I’d believe them. This will now be my new spot when I can’t go to Japan. Customer service was also subpurb too!

Tried a few entrees (katsu bowl and soba), so can't comment on the rolls. It was fine, definitely not bad but nothing stood out. The music was cute for a few minutes but over time is grating.

Google
Let me say first the waitress was excellent and friendly. The food on the other hand was absolutely horrible. The sushi tasted like it was prepped weeks in advanced, refrigerated, and pulled out when needed. The clear soup tasted like hot dog water. The snow crab salad tasted like unfresh nasty fishy paste. I would not risk coming here and getting food poisoning. My husband and I use to always come to this spot and never had a problem..The last two times we have came have been the same sad inexcusable quality of food. We decided to give them another shot thinking it was a one time bad day for the cooks but after this last visit I can generally tell that the place is going down the drain. I am not sure if there has been a change in management but I can tell the quality of food is not the same as it use to be.

Went to this place for years back in the day and now it's a shell of what it was. The food wasn't fresh at all. Tasted like it has been sitting in a fridge for days. The condiments tasted as if no love made it. Clear soup tasted like literal hotdog water I nearly puked. My child who LOVES Sushi spat it all out and only touched his drink the rest of the experience. It's great the place kept it's environmental look, but the food and customer service did not hold up . It's best to go to Little Tokyo on Causeway or Sushi Express which serves real Asian food that's on Division st. Save your money from this place. Way better options out there and cheaper.

Yelp
I lived in New Orleans for a year and landed in this place. It's been a couple years since I've moved but this place has been tatted into my mind. They have the BEST hibachi ever. They clearly cook their food with alot of love, because it's honestly helped me with a lot of things. The people that work there are always such beautiful souls. I've never once went and have a bad experience. I love it. The music, the art, the smell!! It's a beautiful place. This is more of a thank you, because this place mentally makes me okay. I always come to this place the moment I come, and then one last time before I leave. I think i'd die if this place ever shut down.

Merle D.

Yelp
Nice employees and the restaurant seemed clean but we found the yaki soba horribly lacking. It was mostly noodles with very little chicken and way too expensive for what we received. For the 2 of us the bill was over $40 and that's about twice what the meal was worth. We won't be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Quick service and a wide sushi selection--this little hole in the wall offers all the rolls and bento boxes a sushi lover could ask for. We ordered the bento box and a few different salmon and tuna rolls. All of the dishes were mighty fine and I especially liked the rich edamame hummus included in the bento box.

Yelp
After some flight delays, we touched down in New Orleans and unfortunately, the first couple of choices were already closed, so we ended up at Izakaya Little Tokyo Restaurant. Overall, it was friendly service and the server even came by several times to check on us. I ordered the Bento Box #1 with salad. The salad was just okay, the hibachi chicken didn't have much flavor to it, and the crab and avocado were standard practice. I forgot that the hummus was edamame hummus. Needless to say, I hadn't acquired the taste, so I did not find that part enjoyable. One definite plus was the crunchy roll. I'm used to crunchy rolls where the fried parts are all over the outside. They put the crunchy parts on the inside so it wasn't overpowering. I found the rolls to be pretty flavorful, too! Glad I ate them last. Would I come back? Maybe in a pinch if convenient.

Yelp
Best sushi in the city of New Orleans Excellent service This place never ever disappoints

Yelp
It was a mixed bag of experiences for me and my seven friends during our sushi and noodles outing. The sushi and noodles were the epitome of culinary excellence - fresh, flavorful, and a treat to our senses. The chicken wings, though, fell flat. The late arrival, a lackluster appearance, and the odor of stale oil suggested inadequate preparation. The service we received from our waitress, Jennifer, added to our disappointment. Her inability to facilitate open communication, racial prejudice against her Chinese bosses, and unwillingness to provide any solution for the chicken wings debacle, cast a shadow on our overall experience. The restaurant needs to address these service and cultural sensitivity issues urgently.

Michandra W.

Yelp
It was quite the culinary adventure that my party of eight and I embarked upon in our quest for sushi and noodles. While most of the dishes were satisfying, an unexpected turn of events threw a wrench into what was otherwise a delightful evening. The sushi and noodles were the highlights of the evening. Fresh, delicious, and presented with an evident flair for artistry, they were the embodiment of Japanese cuisine's finesse. Their remarkable flavors danced on our taste buds, offering a symphony of textures and tastes that were both comforting and exciting. Unfortunately, the chicken wings didn't echo the same narrative. They arrived to our table a glaring 25 minutes after being ordered - an unsettling delay that had us questioning their preparation. Upon arrival, their visual appeal was underwhelming. With a pale, light brown color that skewed towards white, they lacked the inviting golden hue often associated with well-prepared, crispy wings. The aroma they exuded further emphasized our growing apprehensions. A pungent whiff of what seemed to be old oil was unmistakable. Instead of smelling like appetizingly seasoned, fried chicken, the scent suggested a lapse in the freshness of the cooking medium. The unfortunate circumstance with the chicken wings detracted from the overall experience, which is a shame given the restaurant's otherwise commendable offerings. Here's hoping this was an isolated incident, not reflective of the establishment's usual standards. Our gastronomical journey was further marred by an unfortunate encounter with our waitress, Jennifer. It was shocking and disconcerting to experience her blatant disregard for customer service and basic decency. She consistently interrupted me, refusing to allow a moment for me to express my concerns about the chicken wings. This behavior, in itself, was poor form for anyone in the hospitality industry. It hampered any form of constructive dialogue that could have potentially led to a solution. What was even more disturbing was Jennifer's unapologetically prejudiced behavior towards her employers, the Chinese owners of the restaurant. Such racially insensitive comments have no place in any setting, let alone a diverse and multicultural environment such as a restaurant. Despite the clear issues with the chicken wings, Jennifer also showed a lack of flexibility and service recovery skills. Instead of offering to remove the dish from our bill or presenting any alternatives, she offered no solutions whatsoever. This lack of understanding in handling customer grievances further deepened our dissatisfaction with the service. This experience, unfortunately, cast a shadow over what could have been a delightful dining experience. It highlighted a crucial need for this establishment to address not just its food preparation standards, but also its staff training and sensitivity towards race and culture.

Yelp
Little Tokyo, We stopped by and realized we forgot our masks in the truck. Someone inside saw that we stopped in our tracks to retrieve our masks and decided to speed walk to the open sign and turn it off. You should update your closing time. Frequently spotted at your establishment

Yelp
This place is okay for late night sushi. I'll admit, I have a favorite sushi spot. But they were closed when our sushi craving hit, so we tried out Little Tokyo. This is my SIL's preferred sushi "chain". Although she recommended the location on Causeway, this location is a bit closer to home. We ordered two rolls and two orders of pot stickers to go. It was pretty busy, especially for 9:30 at night. The service was fast and friendly, I walked right up to the bar in the back and I was in and out in no time. The prices were average, not very different from my regular spot. The big difference here was the quality of ingredients. Something in our typical rolls (tuna avocado, +asparagus) was not fresh - I think it was the asparagus. They were edible, but something was off. The pot stickers were just okay, too. I would have liked a little more browning on them, but otherwise they were average. All in all, not a horrible place to grab late night sushi in Metairie. There aren't many other options after a certain time, so it is what it is. I would go back if it were the same circumstances (late night), but I will definitely try to get an order in at our regular spot before they close in the future.

Yelp
The food is always hot and fresh, the tonkatsu ramen is my favorite. The portions are great as well. The staff is always nice and attentive. One of my favorite lunch or dinner spots!

Yelp
Let me start off with I can't believe I've never been here before. I've passed it a thousand times. What was I thinking???? My daughter suggested we go for her boyfriends birthday tonight, as it is their favorite place. I am SO glad we did. Let me tell you about the food. It's amazing ,they had a hot pot and you rarely find that. Super yummy , we got a bunch of stuff. It's extremely reasonably priced. AND the dessert selection is bigger than any Asian type restaurant I've ever been too. Cute, quirky atmosphere. I'm not passing it up ever again

Yelp
While the phone usually eats first, in this instance that didn't really happen! I love this location of little Tokyo because they have really good cooked rolls, which I love, and they have some of the best fried rice compared to neighboring sushi and hibachi spots. They're super quick and tentative, and the vibes are really nice and relaxing. There's super Mario and other anime decor, and it's a quick in-n-out spot compared to the larger location with karaoke. I typically get a roll and the bento #3 which is enough for my partner and I to split. The bento comes with a soup or salad, fried rice, 3 yakitori sticks, crab salad, and tempura shrimp and veggies. It's the perfect sampler of food if you're indecisive and want a smaller portion of many things on the menu.

Diane O.

Yelp
The food here is truly so Delicious and clean. Good presentation is always great. The Ambiance here is super unique and welcoming. We love this place bc of late they stay open compared to other restaurants. It's nice to have places that have good food stay open late
google avatar

Angie W.

Yelp
While not upscale, the decor is quaint. There is a strange semi-opaque red window between the seating area and part of the kitchen. The wait staff were very nice. Service was good overall. The food was so-so. I had a tempura bento box. I didn't know what it would contain other than the tempura and crab salad. Those were both good. The fried rice was a bit mushy and underwhelming in flavor. It came with some chicken skewers which were good. The steak skewer was too tough to eat. I would have preferred a dumpling or something. Maybe the sushi is better.

Dashyla H.

Yelp
The food I had was okay but the service was very poor. I had a concern about the presentation of my food and the server (Jennifer) was very rude. She kept talking over me and wouldn't allow me to express my concerns about my food quality. Instead of hearing me out, she stated that I didn't have to come back. She even tried to persuade me that my food was the way it was supposed to be.

Jessica W.

Yelp
I frequently go to this Little Tokyo because I love it so much. The food is great, the service is great and the overall atmosphere in the restaurant is nice. I will always recommend this place to my friends who love Japanese cuisine.

Lauren N.

Yelp
Worst sushi I've ever had. Decent ambiance, nice staff. But what I was served didn't even resemble sushi. It was more like a fish burrito. I was also disappointed when the "peppered tuna" that was supposed to top my roll was just tuna sprinkled with meat tenderizer. My boyfriend's chicken teriyaki was even wonky. Over-sauced, over-cooked rice.

Jack M.

Yelp
I thnk this restaurant is typical of Japanese restaurants in the area. They all taste pretty much the same for the same items. I do like the service at the Veterans location though. Much better than the Causeway location.
google avatar

Cassie M.

Yelp
I've been going to LT for years! Don't sleep on the little Tokyo roll and the torched scallops with seared frois gras and caviar which you'll find on the special board. I also love sitting at the sushi bar where you are greeted by the great chefs and a special salad!
google avatar

Alyssa A.

Yelp
Food was delicious with excellent size portions. Restaurant had a different odor. Best hibachi I have ever had. We loved the pan seared gyoza. Would eat here again.

Monnae' C.

Yelp
i usually have a good time but last two togo orders have been incorrect and i haven't been pleased because i've been a day one customer and now i wont be returning due to communication issues and management not being transparent or compromising in any way with customers who spend over $69 for togo that is incorrect even with photo proof and aggravation. but i wish them all the best!

Yelp
Love this sushi spot, I always forget about it!! I'm not sure how I forget because the food is really good! For an appetizer, I got the pan fried dumplings which were pretty good and flavorful . For dinner I got the dragon roll and the upside down roll which was still sizzling (in a good way) when it came out . It was a special and when the waitress described it I knew I had to get it! The waitress was so sweet, everything came out in a timely manner. There didn't seem to be too much of a crowd when I went, but as I was there business started to pick up. Lots of people seemed to be doing take out. I felt comfortable being there, Covid restrictions were being followed. I cannot wait to go back and have their hibachi !
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Went here by accident, but glad we did! The portions are MASSIVE! Lunchtime with my middle child (Mommy/Daughter Time) I saw they have my favorite roll which is the UTAH Roll and was sold! My daughter who is allergic to seafood was accommodated and assured that she wouldn't have anything that was close to fish. Out waitress was Alex and she was a complete sweetheart. Made sure to check on us and recommend stuff for my daughter. Would definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
Easily becoming one of my favorite sushi spots. Service, food and value are always on point and worth the trip. For an avid sushi fan like myself I was humbled first time ordering 3 rolls for myself and realizing that I will most definitely have leftovers. Have tried other menu items all of which were tasty from Pho to tempura and rice offerings. Definitely recommend but mindful this place gets pretty busy, especially later in the evening so plan accordingly.
google avatar

Jihan N.

Yelp
Decided to try this place because it was available on Uber eats and I was craving sushi. I ordered the salmon Californian roll , Philadelphia roll and the speciality sushi roll called little Tokyo. The food arrived and I was starving.... ready to dig in! The salmon and Philadelphia roll was very very average. The rice was soggy. It was edible and I ate it. The little Tokyo roll just looked gross...... I decided to try it anyway because " don't judge a book by its cover". As I bit into it, I regretted it. The roll itself was just way too big, the spicy tuna filling was just way to much and the rice soggy. Soggy, soggy, soggy! I closed the lid and the just dumped the entire order of Tokyo roll in the trash. Sad but true. Maybe I ordered wrong and maybe there are better sushi choices on the menu, but this time.... they missed the mark and lost a customer.
google avatar

Cincia K.

Yelp
Awesome service and ramen is amazing! I'll try the rest of the menu soon but I'm currently obsessed with the ramen!
google avatar

Dwanyetta R.

Yelp
The soy based ramen is delicious, veggie sushi is great, service is always A-1, and they have yet to disappoint!
google avatar

Keke T.

Yelp
The service was attentive and very kind. The food was so delicious and fresh. I love that you can watch them, from a distance, make everything from the drinks, sushi, and hibachi items. First time ordering seaweed salad and I can't stop talking about it. It was twangy, slippery, crunchy and full of flavor. The RicePaper rolls were filled with asparagus, avocado, cucumber, carrots, and greens. I enjoyed topping them with a little wasabi and hoisin sauce. The hibachi rice is a new favorite. It was piping hot, very fresh, and full of smoky delicious meat. They have other options but I wanted my rice full of protein. The lychee martini is crisp and sweet. I would have had another if I didn't have other priorities. And yes that's a lychee inside the drink, not an onion or olive. This was a nice lunch, I am eager to return again to try more items from their large menu. Also, it is a nice balanced atmosphere. They have lights over the tables and a dimmed setting throughout the restaurant. Everything was just right for me.
google avatar

Mina H.

Yelp
This chain restaurant has 2 locations in New Orleans, and I tried the one on Veterans Blvd. We ordered the chicken and beef yakisoba. They were okay, but bland. They should have used more sauce to season the noodles. I also got a lot of fatty pieces of beef with my yakisoba, the chicken pieces were better cuts of the meat. The other Causeway location did a better job cooking the yakisoba when I visited them before. I would probably not come back to this particular location. I will have to go back to the Causeway restaurant again to confirm if it is any better.

. ..

Yelp
If you love ramen , this spot is the one!! I always order the tonkatsu (pork bone broth) ramen and they always have it perfect. The extras that's in it like pork belly and all that stuff is always good but the broth is what sets it off , it's so satisfying , you can tell they slow cooked the broth like your supposed to!!!
google avatar

Camly T.

Yelp
Service was nice and food was okay. It didn't seem like there were any Japanese or even Asian people in the kitchen. (You can see into where they make food). Doesn't mean the food was bad but is something to point out. The decor and atmosphere was not my particular taste. I don't know if I would come again.
google avatar

Torial L.

Yelp
We are never disappointed nor dissatisfied with anything we order here. The upside down roll, and the truffle salmon are definitely must haves.

Tyler B.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Metairie! Good prices and good food! Definitely recommend

Yelp
10/10 highly recommend. Food is so good! Gotta try the dirty old man roll!!!! Very clean and super polite staff. Absolutely perfect for date night

Yelp
If you plan on giving this restaurant your money, read my review first. My family and I ordered Little Tokyo through UberEats today. We ordered a couple of special rolls, appetizers, and a combo meal. When we received our food we noticed that we were missing a special roll completely, they gave me the wrong special roll (I ordered a more expensive one and was given a less expensive/the wrong special roll instead), the wrong roll came with the combo we got (also no salad that was supposed to come with the combo), and we were given one shrimp tempura appetizer instead of two which is what we ordered ... and PAYED FOR. We are not the type to complain to a restaurant at all, but when we found the tip of a rubber glove on a sushi roll, we knew we had to. We called Little Tokyo to explain what they messed up with our order and to tell them about the rubber glove and the worker kept making excuses (didn't take it seriously) and never even let us speak to the manager (they told my mom the manager would call her back to discuss our order .. manager never called). They didn't offer to give us anything in return for our poorly made food (or lack thereof). We paid for food that was MISSING, about $50 worth. The only reason we're getting any of our money back is because I reported the issues on UberEats and they said they would refund us for all of our missing and incorrect items. I would give them no stars if I could. Don't eat here, it's not worth it.
google avatar

Jimmy B.

Yelp
It's a little loud and portions are a little small. The down side out of the way, good service, good food, good ambience and good prices. It's a nice date restaurant. I wouldn't come here to eat on a regular basis, but to take a girl out or to take out friends who want to go out or who want to experience the area, this is a perfect place for that!

Angela K.

Yelp
This is the chicken from our hibachi chicken order. I don't think I've ever seen chicken so grizzled and fatty. Some pieces were even undercooked. We had a $70 order from this place. This was pretty disappointing. Our sushi, however, was great.
google avatar

Poupae W.

Yelp
Nice decoration and good for parking. Food is just soso not too diffident then other Japanese restaurants

Keela B.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My boyfriend and I had the most amazing experience ever. AMAZING SERVICE AMAZING FOOD! Not to mention great music and the Sake was out of this world.
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
The service was nice, but the food was not great. I got the beef udon, and it only tasted like oil. I added soy sauce and chili oil in the hope of making it taste like something other than just grease, but it did not work. The noodles also were just very soft. I understand udon is generally soft, but they were definitely overcooked. I would not come here again. Daiwa or the other little tokyo would be a better option than this place.

Ramsey L.

Yelp
Our favorite place to get sushi lately! The vibe is always light and the staff is always sweet. 9/10 the music is great too.

Yelp
Delicious food! Awesome atmosphere and service. 10/10 will be back again. Spicy tonkotsu ramen is a must, highly recommend it.

Yelp
I it's been awhile since I have been in the place but , my waitress Carol knows her stuff. Before I sat down I was greeted. Customer service is top notch! She gave me some suggestions of what to try and they were delicious! I got a few different rolls . I loved all of them!! I love this place . The music the atmosphere is so relaxed. Plus, they have new owners and the chef was making specials for me to try! I love all them ! Will be back for sure! Superb excellent service for all that work here! Thanks to the chef and Carol for my lunch today! I even had leftovers to bring home!

Yelp
The rolls and the rice were really good, and that's with being packed away for take-out. Presentation has always been key at this franchise but I guess that they didn't get the opportunity at this location, or did they? They are open till 2am right next to a 24hr beignet stand. That is real convenient, because I don't think I would be knocking the door down otherwise. The two tables being used in there were aligned with the girl that was serving them. One had an Asian guy that looked like he was really enjoying his food and didn't need interruption. The second had a couple that seemed to enjoy the server as much as she liked them. The bartender was designated to take my order. Just glancing around gave me the impression that working till 2am must be a drag. The cooking area is separated from the dining by a worn looking length of glass encasing the chef that moves around behind there non-stop. The laminated menu was peeling so much I had to unroll the plastic to see what options were underneath it. Peering toward the dining from the bar I noticed that all the tables looked neat, but the alarm sensor above me on the wall had a large dust streamer (?) hanging from it. The restroom was more of the same with broken dispenser pieces and numerous papers strewn about with a receptacle that was overdue to be Although they try to cater to urban hipsters with the anime art, I would be torn by some of the signs of obvious neglect.

Yelp
Because what do you want after being stuffed at Thanksgiving lunch? RAMEN. Hit this up with guests on Thanksgiving evening - everyone agreed that Japanese would be nice and light, and it was one of the few places open. My husband's friend who delivers for UberEats has been raving about this place, so we headed in. It is cozy yet modern, dark yet bright. The aesthetics in here are dark walls and video game art - it's kind of awesome. The kitchen is surrounded by a huge red window so you can see in, and the red film makes everything glow. I was all on board for ramen and then saw they had karaage, Japanese fried chicken. That was a game changer - I've read about it and heard about it but never seen it available so I jumped at the chance. I ended up getting that, teriyaki veg and a veggie roll. It was way too much, but worth it. The karaage was nuggets as opposed to on the bone and I'd have probably skipped it had I known that. (It's a small plates place so maybe I should've guessed?) But the sauce on it was a tangy savory plum situation that I made every person at the table try. It was so unusual...and good! My husband's ramen was gorgeous, and customized exactly how he wanted it - the menu offers approximately one jillion options and add-ins. Our guests got sushi and were very happy. It's open really late, even on Thanksgiving, and this day there was one woman running the dining room service at expert level. We never waited. Our backs were to the bar, but someone we were dining with said that the view that he had into the bar and kitchen was busy and organized. They were out of take out menus ("I forgot to print those!") but did give us candy ("the managers have taken over because no one wanted to work today") - I saw other reviews that mention service issues but we had nothing. Maybe because it was a staff of managers?? I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
This was my go to place for good Ramen; I'm not sure what happened. First let me say the establishment was clean and cozy as always. However, after waiting a few minutes to be seated, I placed a simple gyoza appetizer order and drink order. I can understand the machine being down or not working as it was explained later. What I can't understand is having to tell my server three times we're ready to place our lunch order and her never taking it as she continuously passed my table. Additionally, I can't understand gyoza taking over 10 minutes to come out when the place isn't packed. Of course I still left $10.00 on the table, no food, no drinks other than one water. And the server seemed nonchalant qnd happy to see us leave. Not sure what happened to this establishment!

Yelp
This is my favorite Little Tokyo. The ramen is really good, as are all of the rice, noodle, appetizer and sushi dishes I have tried. Some favorites are the spicy tokontatsu ramen, the udon noodles and the sticky chicken wings. They have mixed combos and bento boxes on the menu too. The service is often slow/lackadaisical. If you can look past that, you will have an enjoyable meal!

Yelp
The food is good but the place needs a good cleaning. Floors a filthy and the menus are ragged. Wait staff are pleasant but slow. Not crowded at lunch but they don't check on you. A good cleaning and new menu's would really be a game changer.

Yelp
Made an after work stop here to grab a bite of sushi. I decided to eat at the bar which was ideal. The food came out within about five minutes. They have really fresh ingredients & I can really appreciate that. The server was very helpful and accommodating with our custom order of a snow crab and crawfish roll which came out perfectly and I opted for the "Metairie Roll", the tuna was soo fresh! I can totally understand why this place is always packed, very good quality I'll be back!!!

Yelp
My husband ordered takeout from Little Tokyo on Veterans. We patronize this location just about every weekend because it is open late. Upon eating at home, a rubber band with hair was found in our daughter's soup. So glad that she noticed it and did not attempt to eat it, thinking it was a noodle. This is totally unacceptable. We will NEVER visit here again. How could this even happen? Hairnets or hats should be worn in the kitchen. How did the person not feel this fall out of their hair? There should be better standards put in place for employees.
