Stop by after shopping at H-Mart to grab a quick bite. Customer service was amazing! The lady was super patient and nice. I have a shrimp allergy and she made sure to alert the cooks. I ended up buying some onigiri from over there as well as a sushi burrito. Sushi burrito was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the price. Currently the best sushi burrito I've had in Chicago. Find the onigiri from their restaurant versus in the store does benefit because they can actually heat it up for a little bit if you want to eat it while you walk or drive. Onigiri has a good rice to protein ratio and I have never had any issue with the onagiri spot from the stall or from inside H-Mart. I've been getting them for a little over 2 years now and the quality is still on point and the price is great. Will definitely be back to try other options like their ramen or takoyaki!

Google
My first time to try the udon with tofu and takoyaki. The takoyaki was very soft and creamy. I was expecting some octopus or squid crunch and egg … 😊 but the food was still ok. The soup is savory. I’ll still recommend you to try it here if you are going to do your grocery at hmart. There are a lot of choices to choose from, so definitely im going to try whats on the menu.

For $13 + tax, the ramen could have been presented a little nicer. Ginger freshened the bowl and the egg yolks waiting for me at the bottom were pretty good too. Sadly I got stomach upset about a half hour later.

Decided to grab lunch at HMart and got in the Izakaya Yume line. Wasn't sure what to expect and it seemed a bit pricey, but I ordered the Yumerrito (sushi burrito w/spicy tuna and shrimp tempura). It was delicious! I'm definitely going back. The burrito was a good size, worth the price. Could be shareable depending on your appetite.

Food was good. Front service was excellent. Logan was very helpful and courteous.

Google
Boiling hot ramen was served in Styrofoam cup. Definitely not worth 15 dollars. I don't think covid is an excuse to not use proper bowls. If hand washing can kill germs, so can a dish washer. Besides, at least use thick plastic bowls.

Google
Do not recommend at all. Waited 15 minutes and got a bowl of soggy noodle… Giving two stars because at least it includes bamboo shoots, ginger, corn, and an egg.

Google
GROSS. I got the chicken teriyaki for $15.83. They serve the hardest, nastiest, driest chicken possible. I'm usually easy to please, this was insane. I can't not say something, this has been bothering me for days how bogus this meal was. It was expensive and a super small amount of food. It was so disappointing, it was like eating erasers covered in simple syrup. The teriyaki sauce sucked. I felt so so ripped off. The service was also bad. I waited a long time but I didn't mind, hoping maybe the food would be good and make up for it or something, IT DIDN'T. I am the biggest sucker for buying lunch here. This place is so bad on every level. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Yelp
I had the Yume Ramen (spicy). Overall, it was good. I would rate it a 7/10 because the broth was delicious, but I wish there was more corn/toppings in general and a little spicier, also it only came with one piece of chashu for $14. I've visited a few ramen places in the area and they're around $14-16 and usually include more toppings and 3-4 pieces of chashu. So I wish they had a bit more, but it was still delicious flavor wise. I've also had the tonkatsu and that is an 11/10, huge fan of the sauce and the cutlets breading. The service is also fairly quick and I only had to wait about 10 minutes for my order when it was moderately busy (about 4-5 other people). The cashier was nice and the person who handed me my order was also friendly, so that's a plus! Overall I'd give my experience a 4/5 stars. 3/5 for the food and an extra star for the service and speed/convenience! :)

Yelp
Honestly, I'm not sure why this place has a low score...I absolutely loved it for what it is. It's a restaurant in H-mart, which means I am not expecting a fine dining experience. I expect some good quality food for a reasonable price. Thus, I ordered an udon for $9 and spicy tuna roll for $10. Both was absolutely amazing for that price tag. You won't be able to find any udon or roll that costs less than $16 at any other place. Not only that, but the taste was excellent for the price range. Enter in and get a rich food experience for a cheap price.

Yelp
Located inside h mart, lots of seating always available and great lunch specials! Food was ready in less then 10 minutes after being placed. I tried the Katsu bento box for $14 and it was amazing. This came with a salad, Cali roll, kimchi, Katsu chicken and white rice. The salad had this dressing that was perfect. The chicken was perfectly cooked, so moist covered in this amaZing sauce. The sushi was so fresh and the kimchi was so unique making me want more every bite! The sushi burrito is calling my name, I cant wait to come back soon!

Yelp
I thought my katsu was tasty. It was perfectly crisp with the right amount of curry on it. I didn't have to wait too long for it on a Tuesday evening. It came with a side of rice and salad. The salad wasn't anything special but it was refreshing to have. I saw there were lots of onigiri. I didn't get one at the time, but I'll be sure to try one next time.

Yelp
Every time I go to the H Mart I walk past this place and notice the sushi burrito option. I had some extra time today, so I tried the BULGOGIRITTO. It was very unique and delicious. It was a little pricey for the serving size, but the flavor made it well worth it. I am definitely going to get one again. All of the ingredients were fresh, flavorful, and blended together nicely. I think it was even better with the sauce that was provided! If your more of a burrito fan than a sushi fan, then I recommend you checking this out. The service was quick and the ambience was food court

Yelp
Stopped at HMart to grab something and figured I'd grab some lunch to go while I was here. I had been craving ramen recently so this is where I decided to order from. It was lunchtime and super busy in the front of the store with so many other waiting for food. I ordered the B6 Yume ramen, no spice and a spicy crab spam musubi. Both tasted fine. Nothing special about it. The ramen broth needed a little more flavor, maybe I should have ordered it spicy?! The musubi was just ok too. The people behind the counter were nice!

Yelp
The food is really good here. Its located in the front portion of H Mart, so def not a place to go if you want restaurant vibes. Think of it as a mini food court. The food is made very quick and you pick it up from the window, so very straight forward.

Yelp
Dude I don't know why this place has such a low score. The food is fire! I love their chicken katsu lunch box. The chicken is perfectly breaded and fried. It's nice a crunchy, meaty, juicy, with a subtle umami sweet flavor. The rice is thick and fuffy, the sushi is fresh and light, and the salad is both sweet and refreshing. It's a great set of flavors and costs $14.50. If you're near the h-mart and looking for a quick bite with nice and efficient service look no further! And if you really don't have time the h mart sells premade Katsu lunch boxes in the store area. I always get my food to go but there's ample seating too.

Yelp
Even though we were in a Korean grocery store, I saw Izakaya yume and was feeling like some katsu for lunch. There was no line and my food was ready right away, but sadly, the experience only went downhill from there. When the best part of a bento box is the California rolls, you know you're in trouble. The katsu was warm but soggy and drenched in the overly sweet sauce. I was also surprised that the salad came with a Thai chili sauce and not at all expecting to see tater tots as a side dish when the picture on the menu showed gyoza... Next time I'll stick to the Korean food stalls or wait to get home and cook my delicious groceries from HMart.

Yelp
Should have checked my food before I left. This teriyaki chicken is clearly old and it's dry and hard asf. The salad is wilted and the lettuce is clearly going bad.
google avatar

Wendy H.

Yelp
It wasn't bad, but it was the only place open since the stalls next to it had lunch breaks during that time. There isn't a huge selection, so I'm so glad my bf pointed out B19 (sushi burrito) because I was about to order the sushi but it seemed pretty steep. I wish the sushi burrito had pickled vegetables instead of lettuce. They seem to have a lot of lettuce options. And you should keep the wrapper on because the bottom of the burritos aren't secured enough. But the beef in the sushi burrito was great. The B20 Katsu wasn't bad. It was crispy and a decent serving size. It came with a lot of sauce that was sweet. There was a small wait for the food, but nothing unbearable. Our food came out to about $32.

Yelp
Jim Carrey loves this place? Is that why he filmed Yume, myself, and Irene? I'm impressed by the Hmart tucked into the loop close to the highway out here in the west part of downtown Chicago and they have three pretty busy food stalls inside that do well for themselves and sell a lot of product. This one's sells sushi but my main issue with it even though it tastes pretty decent and about average as far as cheap sushi goes - is that it's not actually cheap. Like you'll pay anywhere from 12 to 15 or even higher for a little Sushi whereas in Boston at a similar place which is about 327 times the taste you will only pay five or six dollars for a sushi roll. So it's kinda 4 star sushi but expensive for a little food court stall, so it's 3 total.

Yelp
The absolute worst rice of my life. It was so dry it crumbled off when i bit into it. Do NOT get any of the musubis. I threw away over half my food and I'm not one to waste food.

David L.

Yelp
Small portions with sub-par taste describes the kanirito I got. I also asked for some spicy mayo and they charge a $1.50 for a half empty small container. Don't go here food is lackluster and the service is terrible.

Yelp
Izakaya yume is one of three shops in the Hmart food court. As the predominantly Japanese option of the three, they serve up a variety of Japanese fast food including sushi, rice bowls, and ramen. Despite sushi being the main draw of this food stall, I opted for their tonkatsu since it's the only place in the Greek Town area that really offers such at a decent price ($12). My order came with a side of shredded cabbage with a thousand island dressing and a small scoop of white rice. The tonkatsu itself was thinly sliced pieces of fried pork drizzled with Japanese mayo and katsu sauce. The tonkatsu was okay but definitely not my favorite. The cuts of pork used were pretty thin and they don't advertise adding Japanese mayo on top- be sure to have that removed if you don't want that extra taste in your mouth. So after trying this place just once, I don't think I'd be jumping to immediately come back for more of their Japanese fare. There's a lot of options over at Hmart but if you need to satisfy your taste for Japanese, then this is an okay option.

Yelp
I was waiting for awhile now for my sushi and noticed they were calling orders after me. Still kept my cool until I decided to ask about my order. Apparently they forgot about it. Still I was calm but man i wasnt expecting a freebie but no apology at all? Young Gen Z's, a simple sorry we forgot to make your order would suffice.

Yelp
I came here for lunch on a Friday and ordered a bowl of the Yume Ramen (with no spice because I'm a wuss). Even though the food court at HMart was pretty packed when I arrived, there was no line for Izakaya Yume and I was sort of in a hurry, so I went for it. I love ramen and am always in the mood for a delicious bowl of ramen. Ordering and getting my food was quick, which I appreciated. It was the ramen itself that was underwhelming. The ramen wasn't BAD by any means, but it was just very mediocre. Not great, not bad. I can definitely live without it, especially with the $14 price tag. It's also a pretty loud and chaotic space, so if you're someone who cares a lot about ambiance, you're not going to find that here. I would go back and try the sushi burritos, which look interesting, but I definitely won't be spending my money on the ramen there again.

Yelp
Terrible portions for Katsu Curry (one scoop of rice and a couple slices of Katsu). The food was okay but the portions were ridiculously small for $16
google avatar

Yelp
Wife and I dropped by this new downtown H Mart location and had a food court lunch of IY's tonkatsu lunch box ($12) and a bowl of gyudon (sliced beef) donburi ($11). They both hit the spot for us. The taste and value were pretty decent. My donburi bowl would have been better if the beef and rice were served a little hotter though. Ready order numbers are clearly called out with an automated voice and there's also a clear electronic display showing the numbers. It's a tight and vibrant food court with communal bench seating and bartop seating, and good for millenial people watching at this West Loop location.

Ryan B.

Yelp
This is definitely not the best ramen I've ever had, but I probably should have known since the menu has a variety of items on it. The ramen is overpriced for what it is. You can definitely get more quality bowls elsewhere around the city for the same price. If you must have a noodle soup, I'd stick to the udon noodle soup here, but the ramen noodles and the quality of the broth were lacking in my opinion. I was hoping for a quality food court ramen similar to Santouka at Mitsuwa, but this was not it.
google avatar

Christiaan B.

Yelp
$16 for a bowl of ramen take out and this is what I get home to find. What a joke. A very small portion and two tiny pieces of pork belly. Do not go here.
google avatar

Rich G.

Yelp
Went there today and saw the picture of the Ramen on the overhead menu. It looked really nice in the picture. When it came out I asked the lady ... "Is This It?" she looked at me and then looked at the people in the back and grimly said "yes". It was a small bowl of ramen (see attached photo) in a Styrofoam container. It was over $15 for something worth maybe half that much "maybe". I would rate the ramen average in terms of taste, but you will definitely be unhappy with the small portion for such an expensive price.
google avatar

hannah k.

Yelp
Don't ever come here if you don't want to be disappointed. Whenever I come here, the servings are small and each dish is ridiculously expensive and they'll charge you extra if you request for some side dishes. I ordered sashimi bibimbab and this is what I get. Awwww hell no. The rice is super cold. Like rock cold. This is unacceptable. You know the type of cold when you take rice out from the fridge? That kinda cold. That ain't cool yo. And where's the sashimi? Like wow I'm going to have to starve tonight. I can't eat this.

Yelp
Sushi deluxe sucks. $17 plus tip for these from an unfriendly manager? The fish you can buy in Hmart is way higher quality and fresher. Save your money and make your own with the sushi fish sold in Hmart.
google avatar

Chen S.

Yelp
The food they are serving is leftover overnight. The tonkatsu is dark and hard as stone.
google avatar

Donna Y.

Yelp
Sushi deluxe which is sucks. Over price fish was not fresh and there was a piece of hair on it. Took it back they basically wash the hair off put it back on the rice . Seriously????? Don't waste money here other food stalls next door instead

Matt K.

Yelp
The new owners are extremely cheap and the quality's way worse than before. The sashimi bibimbap we ordered came with mostly rice with some small pieces of fish and it cost $20. The tempura udon came with the tempura soggy. I asked if they could fry me a new one and they said it would be extra. I should've clarified that I want it on the side but most restaurants are usually happy to fix something as small as this. I also think it's common sense that people don't enjoy soggy tempura but maybe that's just me.

Yelp
I will never go back. Salmon don is not worth $14. It's white rice don with a tiny bit of salmon. Way wayyyyy overpriced!!
google avatar

Alicia S.

Yelp
Dontaksu.....What more can I say!!!! I took my bff for her very first Dontaksu, it was a fav meal while living in South Korea. We both enjoyed it. Great meal...

Ashley W.

Yelp
This is quite possibly the worst tasting ramen I've had in Chicago...for $14 especially is so overpriced for bad ramen. I got the Yume Ramen and it was very overcooked, the noodles were too soggy and slimy because of the overcooking...the broth was too watered down and unflavorful.
google avatar

Yelp
I had been a loyal customer for about 2 years now. They used to be located on Niles. The selection if Chef's speciality is limited at this location. My favorite togo sushi are the Sakura, Kamikaze, Kuma, and Spider Roll. I have not try any other food on the menu but they make the best sushi imo.

Pana Y.

Yelp
Not worth the money. Food was not fresh tasting. Overpriced for what your getting. I think food is old.

Anonymous C.

Yelp
Never had an issue here, I always get the Chicken Katsu. Super good and they aren't greedy with the sauce! Really good place. Have yet to try the ramen, but so far the meat dishes are great. Not sure about their hours right now during COVID, but I've been back once since reopening and the quality is just as good. Highly recommend!

Irina M.

Yelp
12$ for 6 thin slices of salmon in the salmon bowl?! i'll go to aloha pocke next time

Louise F.

Yelp
Watch your cashier. I was overcharged her smile and lack of apology made me think this is routine. I will try the other food stalls next time .

Michael M.

Yelp
Great food and service! Quaint place but solid location. Best place in the city for a sushi burrito!
