Cute spot with great music, good cocktails and a nice outdoor area in the back! It's nice and cozy in the winter and such a vibe in the summer. I've been popping in here for years and I love it.

Spent NYE here 2025, great neighbourhood bar, and friendly bar staff. Good DJs that night!

Have been multiple times during off peak hours (weekday nights, weekend afternoons) and two different guy bartenders are always standoffish, slow, and a bit rude. Really bummed as we live so close. Cocktail prices here = fancier bars, but worse service and ambiance. Beer prices are good. Backyard and front yard good for groups.

Cute bar! The frozen drinks were good but pretty sweet - the xantico is spicy and more balanced than the painkiller. Space in the front doesn’t get my A/C but the back is nice and cool. There is a backyard patio, sidewalk space out front, and a dance floor. Two bathrooms which were pretty clean.

Great atmosphere, the owner was amazing, drinks were delicious, but the cocktails were mostly ice. Maybe it was because we were there so early in the day, but I'd definitely go with what's on draft if you want your money's worth. The cider was specifically amazing.

Wonderful bar with a delightful atmosphere! The bartender was very friendly. I only wish this could be my neighborhood bar, because I could see myself being a regular here. The empanadas were delicious and I can’t wait to experience the patio in the summer!!

Great cocktail bar with a fairly large outdoor space in the back and a smaller one out front. Bartenders were super friendly and helpful and the cocktails were delicious. I tried the El Antiguo which was quite boozy but well balanced and the Isla Calavera which was smoky and refreshing. That's a pretty good trick to pull off. Anyway, would def recommend this spot if you're in the area.

This restaurant was so cute, I loved the decor, music, and vibes. However—the food leaves a lot to desire. This is the bangers and hash, the polenta was so undercooked—it tasted like eating sand and truly ruined what could have otherwise been a nice dish. My partner ordered the avocado toast. It was nice but nothing particularly special. However, I loved the “Beet Cute” cocktail and would order that again.

Izzy Rose is such a vibe. It's a cozy neighborhood bar with reasonably priced drinks and friendly bartenders and it's chill. I visited on a random Thursday night. The crowd was just right (not too busy, not too empty). Plus, it's close to my apartment, though I had never been there before. I had a few of their signature cocktails and each one was good. The kitchen had closed since it was late but next time I'll definitely try the food.

This is the place to be on a Friday, the music was loud if you're near the back but anywhere else it's easy to chat without shouting. Drinks were fantastic, the desert lights was a lovely mix of bourbon and elderflower that wasn't too sweet and had a lot of depth of flavor. The bartenders were super friendly and chatty, the interior was really unique and feminine in a way bars usually aren't allowed to be! No one was on the dance floor but we also went pretty early in the night. Love loved it, would definitely come back again. Maybe in the spring because they have a sick back patio.

Very chill, laid back neighborhood bar with cozy, welcoming vibes. Came here for a friend's birthday and it was a solid venue. Not too crowded or loud so its a great space for friends gathering to catch up, relax and enjoy each other's company. The bartenders are steller and cocktails are delicious. I went with a standard old fashioned and it was made expertly. They also have a selection of low ABV cocktails and natural wines. Got to love options.

Izzy Rose is a jewel of a bar. I like that it always feels cozy inside even though it's spacious and can hold a ton of people. They play great music and the drinks are always good. The staff members are also great. The last time I visited, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to drink so the bartender made me something special that was exactly what I was craving. I enjoy myself every time I visit here and I look forward to trying their food some day.

Cool vibe. Nice lights. Music at the right volume. Bartender didn't greet us or say hello. Empty bar with slow service. Our 2 cocktails kindaaaaa sucked. No empanadas! No bueno.

Annoying dead bartender who did not speak or use words it's hilarious how the saddest ppl decide to work as bartenders, like wtf, we come to get drinks and be merry. Worst happy hour, literally until 6 like what does that even mean. That's not even a real happy hour. Super strong incense from the bar that made my friend choke. Bearded yte homeboy with the mute chic ish, pls find another job and don't burden us with your sorrow we have enough of our own.

Cozy spot for pre dinner drinks. The menu is fine, we opted for wine which was 14-15$ each. Fairly large space so easy to find a place to sit. They had empanadas which stared at me each time we ordered drinks so would go back to try these. Bartenders were friendly.

One of my favorite bars in Brooklyn, super cute and relaxing. I always have a great time there and the drinks are made to perfection. No complaints here!! Looking for a place to meet your friends with an outdoor section - this is it. Dog friendly

What a great spot for cocktails, very comfortable, great drinks, friendly bartender (thanks Ellie!)... Super cool music and art performance, I think every other Sunday. Musicians coming to sit in, really groovy scene, really had a wonderful time.

I've only gotten delicious stirred martinis here from incredible bartenders. The atmosphere on the inside is also just great--low lights, a disco ball, and upbeat music. If you're in Clinton Hill, go to Izzy Rose!

Izzy Rose is back in business! Well not sure if they were closed. I'm simply laughing in covid's ugly face! When one door closes another opens up... across the road. We left a spot at 10/11pm and walking past Izzy on the way home realized "HEY, Izzy's still open!" AND the really engaging barman said they close around 2am! So wootWOOT! Had a few at Izzy's large, beautifully covered but still open-air backyard. I heart that there are so many plants back there too. I would really like to see it in daylight. I was hungry (again) and tried their... shxt, what was the name of it? It's like a pattie made with soy. I guess a soy pattie? Never mind me, I'm rambling to make this review longer because for some reason my short reviews don't post. Smh. Anyway, Izzy Rose is nicely decorated inside and out back and even out FRONT on the pavement. Staff extremely welcoming AND they open late. I absolutely encourage you to give 'em a try. I'll be back. What a cute space! Izzy Rose is a cozy local bar that has great music and amazing drinks. The staff is pretty cool. The bartender always on point. This is my after work spot for one really good drink but, I come on weekends with friends and it's always a great vibe!

Updating this review to give 1 star. Why do the bar staff suck so much? Do they just hate making money? This dude was on his phone right in front of me and my friend for ten mins while he knew we were sitting there without drinks and waiting to order. Then when we did finally get served he kept calling us: honey, sweetheart, babe or some other such iteration that really is not charming, cool or necessary. Like I hated myself for giving this place another go after being there for 30 mins. 15 of which was spent waiting. There was one bright light, I think there was a shift change right before we left and a guy called (I think!) Michael started working behind the bar and he was an absolute delight. Polite, funny and attentive. I hope I got his name right because he deserves all the praise. But sadly it's not enough to make me ever come back.

This bar is so great. The vibes are chill but upscale. The backyard section is perfect in the summer, and they allow people to smoke, which is very laid back. I think this is the perfect place to go with friends or for a date. There's comfy couch seating, tables, and seats at the bar - lots of variety depending on the vibe you're looking for. We stayed for many hours and did not get bored. When the backyard closed, we moved inside, and the change of scenery made it even more fun. The drinks are carefully crafted and are excellent. My friend got an espresso martini and loved it, and I got a margarita, and it was perfect. When I went, there was a girl playing the saxophone live, and she was so incredible. I am dying to come back here, and I highly recommend this spot.

My friend mentioned this place had decent drinks to go so we decided to stop by unfortunately u still need to buy food in order to get liquor they had vegan empanadas I got the Hawaiian this was ham & cheese, ah can't say I liked it much taste wise it was ok. Drinks we all got the Frozen Painkiller, strong taste not too bad. They have some limited outside seating we sat there for a bit while we finished our drinks. Nice little place, price wise decent for the drinks overpriced for the Empanada at $5 dollars each.

Intimate bar with friendly staff and a cute, semi covered back patio area as well as some sidewalk seating too. We walked over on a Saturday after brunch nearby and the bartenders were welcoming, even giving us the scoop on the dance party scheduled for that night. The back patio was pup friendly and had little vignettes of seating to accommodate groups of different sizes. Bathrooms were small but surprisingly clean for what kind of gives insta worthy dive bars vibes. Cocktails were tasty, but I feel like a lot of folks around us were drinking the wine so I'll have to give that a shot next time. We didn't get a chance to try any food, but I'd be open to coming back for some of the DJ sets.

Super cute place. Awesome ambiance and great drinks. Even has delicious mocktails on the menu. Highly recommended.

Izzzzzzzy Rose !!!! I fell in love with this place as I walked in, the decor, the staff, the drinks were alllllll so pleasant. It was a beautiful Sunday when I strolled into this establishment after having brunch elsewhere. At the time there was a live band and singer who rocked the entire place. I actually ended up making friend with them. I had the painkiller and it was the best painkiller I've ever had and trust me I make it a mission to try that drink anywhere I go, that's if they have it. it was a evening filled of music and drinks. Highly recommend and will be back.

Had a lovely time here! The ambiance alone would bring me back. The music was a great mix of R&B from the 80s/90s (they played whatever song "Fast Life" sampled from). The vibe was rustic tropical with dim lighting. There is also a beautiful backyard. There were many cocktails I wanted to try but I went with the mezcal Triple Scorpio and it did not disappoint! Beautifully presented, I drank it in about 5 minutes because it was so delicious. Also had the nachos, which were tasty. Would love to see more IPA options on draft!

Cute addition the the neighborhood. From the owners of Clementine Bakery (just down the street). A plant-based (read: vegan) bar with tacos, salads, and small bites. Service is a bit slow (much like Clementine ). But everyone is nice. Super nice (again, like Clementine). Tiki drinks, airy/modern/rustic chic decor with Instagram lighting. Cocktails are incredible but substitutions are frowned upon. Guacamole and chips were ok but needed salt and hot sauce to satisfy. Will be back.

Izzy Rose is sexy and cool, but not too up it's own a*s. Approachable. Empanadas are delish. Cocktails are GOOD. Service is always fabulous. Some nights during the week they have a tarot reader. Many nights they have live music. Always a good time.

Looking for a vegan friendly establishment with delicious cocktails and positive vibes? Look no further! Izzy Rose seems like it was made just for me. The smell of sage welcomed us as we entered, a nod to their appreciation for the mystical. The drink names keep with the theme, as does the plant-based menu. My partner got the delicious Triple Scorpio drink, which was well-made. The nachos were delicious. It's tricky finding a place with vegan food and cocktails, but they've hit the nail on the head at Izzy Rose. The decor and overall vibe of this place is great for a date night. The dark lighting where you and your beau will be surrounded by plants was truly romantic. We also enjoyed the music played, and the staff was kind. We are thinking of going back again next week already, if not sooner!

The owners should really heed the customers complains about the rude female bartender. I live nearby and have been coming to this place since before it was this millennial utopia. The bar is beautiful but every time I come, there is sourpuss behind the bar. Today I came around 5pm for a relaxed drink but was barely received in a warm welcoming way. After I finished my drink I went up to get another, but the bartender saw me then took her time to finish a conversation with a customer before acknowledging me. I decided not to order another and gave her no tip which is crazy because I used to work in the service industry and I have never done that to anyone. Please tell that bartender to work on her people skills. What is the attitude for? You are pouring drinks not curing cancer. Sorry I don't look like your desired customer. We all come in to support the struggling bar/restaurant industry. I could easily buy a nice bottle of wine for the price of a glass. I love this neighborhood please don't detract from it.

Delicious cocktails, friendly bartender, beautiful back courtyard, chill vibe. Wish I could tell you more but my memory has faded, can't wait to come back!

Like nails on a chalkboard. This isn't gonna be a good review so let me say something positive first. When you go in there is a upbeat, sorta tropical vibe that gives off a good first impression. It didn't deliver as a restaurant which I will address below but there probably is a way to enjoy a visit. I think if are alone or with one or two friends and you swing by for a drink before dinner (elsewhere) you might enjoy it. I on the other hand did not enjoy the following: - the fully vegan menu is very limited and repetitive. - the chips and the tortillas on the tacos were stale - the server was gentle soul but hit and miss on execution. - the food came out slooow - our water bottle constantly ran dry - the the music was too loud, kept cutting off and kept skipping to a new song before the song ended. This really drove me crazy as I heard the staff complain about it but not actually fix it. - I sat at a table but observed that the bartenders were more interested in talking to each other than the customers. This is a sign of bad training and management. - my mocktail was all ice. I'll stop there. I know the vegans in the world are happy to get a new spot like this and I am bummed it was such a disappointment. Here are a couple more positive lest you think I am trying to stress this place out of spite. They have backyard seating and the bathrooms were clean. The space they are in has a history of failed restaurants. Hopefully they will step up their game a break the streak of failures.

first time here. waited almost 15 min to order a drink and the bar wasn't even crowded. so 2 stars for that. but the spot is cute and the cocktail/wine list is pretty decent...so not entirely deterred from coming back.

Staff was wonderful! Tom was a wealth of knowledge and on his toes during a busy service. Empanadas were delicious and the wine list was excellent. We will definitely be back! Music was exactly the vibe.

As a patron of the neighborhood I was excited to try the lively spot and I was not disappointed! The drinks were as vibrant as the people inside, the jams were top class and they even allow dogs! Come for a perfect cocktail made by Ned and stay for a riveting conversation with bar regular max about his love for the hulk and the women in his life. To say the least, you will not forget your night here!

I visited izzy rose for the first time last night and snagged one of the spare stools by the bar. I enjoyed the music which was set at an appropriate volume for having a conversation (if i were to have one). More importantly, the nachos were perhaps my favorite vegan nachos in NYC and accompanied by a smooth IPA on draft. The cocktail menu looked creative and promising (although expectedly expensive at $14 ea). The bartender was friendly and helpful and the nachos came out of the kitchen in less than 10 minutes. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other food (or maybe get the nachos again). Nice vibe, highly recommend. Only complaint is I wish it was closer to my apartment.

I came with a group of five and we got seated right away on a Friday evening. We sat in the backyard which is gorgeous but the indoor seating looked great as well. We all LOVED our vegan tacos. I got the vegan nachos which were great but I definitely recommend adding the tempeh bacon. I think they'd go up a notch in tastiness with refried beans and pickled jalapeños (maybe the kitchen will test adding these things in the future?!) and I didn't love that the "cheese" was so yellow it looked like mustard, but the taste was on point so it's okay. Also one person in our party is sober and she loved one of the mocktails that came with jalapeños and ginger and the other cocktails were great too. We were celebrating my birthday and they gave me a cupcake to go which was very sweet. All in all a great experience.

Not understanding how I can be denied service due to closing when new people can come in the bar after me and be served multiple rounds. Not certain about the severs in the establishment but the bartender definitely had an attitude that is off putting for people that tip and have been nothing but polite. Maybe they are trying to get a "certain crowd" in the establishment, but it's definitely rude to see in Brooklyn 2021. I wish better for the community I grew up in and am sorry that an establishment like this exists. Written about service on 5.17.21 evening.

This is my favorite neighborhood bar. Drinks, staff, ambiance. Only downside is they need more bar tenders.

Happy I stumbled upon this spot after moving into the borough. I usually don't hang around the Clinton Hill area but on this specific night I found myself grabbing drinks with a friend and choosing this place without ever having visited. I'm happy I did because it certainly has the best of both worlds. They've got outdoor spaces in the front and in the back. Their back outdoor space is massive and is definitely great for parties of four or more if you're looking to have drinks in a relaxing setting. They also have a policy of ordering your own drinks at the bar so no need to rely on waiting staff if the space is packed! Prices were reasonable and the vibes were good. Again, I'd come here with a group of friends or even on a date night. If you're nearby and looking for a good bar, go here!

Welcome to the neighborhood! Finally had a chance to pop into the "new vegan place" in the for brunch and I'm so happy I did. Don't get me wrong, Clementine is great (also vegan + gluten free) but Izzy Rose seems more healthy and not to mention has a full bar and super beautiful ambience. The staff is absolutely lovely and I am super excited to have a new regular, local spot to eat, drink and be merry without taking a hit to the pocketbook. Yippee!

Good music and very cozy place! Everybody is very friendly and cool. The snack guacamole+chips is very good. And wines are very good too.

Came here for the cocktails, got the Spa-De, which is nice. The bartender is very friendly. They have indoor seating area and a big outdoor patio. It's pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon.

Came here on a bar crawl for my sorority sister's 30th birthday. Love that it's plants based because I'm trying to be vegan-ish. The ambiance is awesome! Plants everywhere! The bartender was super nice! We also sat next to a super hot guy but didn't get introduced lol. My cocktail was purple and I loved it. The bar is kind of slanted lol and my water started to slide off but my friend Marissa caught it, kind of crazy. Super cool atmosphere but the bathroom was weird?? Kind of didn't fit.

We've come here several times for outdoor cocktails in the age of COVID-19. Their frozen cocktails are really delicious. I love their spicy watermelon mezcal drink, as well as the frozen painkiller. They have a lot of outdoor seating in the front and back patio, so we've never had trouble finding a spot.

I'm a neighborhood local - don't go to Izzy Rose. I've been here a lot and it's always been fine until recently. We started a mom night out group in the neighborhood and we went there and had a horrible incident with one of the bartenders, Michael. He was very rude from the very beginning for no reason. I was sitting at the bar and I took a picture of the menu (to send to someone) and he said I couldn't do that, the table was drenched in water so I switched seats and he didn't like that either, the menus were also completely drenched, but I didn't say absolutely anything about it, or the table, or the picture, I just let it slide. But later on, when I payed for my drinks at the bar and didn't leave him a tip he got hysterical right away, very angry and started yelling, saying I had to leave and that I wasn't allowed to go there anymore, and that he didn't get payed if he didn't get tips (which I'm sure is not true), among other rude things. Shocked, I went outside with my friends to finish the drink I just payed for. He comes by the table later and thanks my friends for coming but singles me out, literally screaming, "except you! you are not allowed back here ever! you are on the list already!" (what does that even mean?), he was getting very agressive, angrier and yelling more loudly every time, saying to me "you've embarrassed yourself in front of your friends! you can't come back here anymore! your'e not welcome!", etc, he was extremely rude, disrespectful and very scary. The whole experience was terrifying! We're just a group of harmless moms friends talking about potty training, just wanting to have a nice time. Although I'm glad this happened on the first night the mom group goes to Izzy Rose, so we don't come back ever again. We were all shaken by the experience and of course won't be back, they not only lost 6 families of local customers that night but all the Thursday mom nights we had planned on having there, are now forever moved to another business. I want to make clear that the other servers had nothing to do with this - it's just Michael, the other bartender is always perfectly pleasant, decent and nice.

It's unfortunate because they have really good food and drinks but the service is terrible.. The first time we waited forever for our order and when it finally came out they gave our order to the people sitting next to us. They never brought us more water after we asked for some, it took us multiple tries of flagging them down to order another drink and then to finally get a check. They weren't even that busy! The second time we never ordered a second drink because they never came back to our table to help us. It wasn't until they needed the table for another party that they came by and literally scooped my water glass off the table the min I put it down making their message abundantly clear. My friend got up to use the restroom before leaving so I waited at the table until I looked up to find a crowd of people already with drinks in hand hovering over my table - I guess they were told to go sit at my table before I had left which created a very awkward encounter for everyone. I understand that they wanted and needed my table but they could have communicated that to me a little more gracefully and directly.

Had a fabulous time here for a friend's birthday recently! Lovely space, nice happy hour with several drink options, and delicious vegan food. Wasn't too crowded on a Thursday night and our group could actually hear each other talk. I had a Manhattan and mushroom & refried bean tacos; all were great, as were the chips and guacamole. They're associated with nearby Clementine bakery too, so we ended our meal with a delicious vegan brownie! Looking forward to my next visit.
