"While it is a bummer that the Saint Paul location is closed, there continues to be plenty of Izzy’s ice cream for everybody. Some pints are available in grocery store freezers, but a wider selection can be ordered by calling the Minneapolis facility for local delivery. Curbside orders are in the works for summer, but not quite available yet." - Joy Summers

The ice cream was good. Nothing to write home about though. We go to plenty of other places that have just as big of a selection and prices are way higher for what you get. Our kiddie and single scoop were just enough to break even with the rim of the bowl. Every other place we go it would be heaping, basically doubling the size of the cup. $11 for a kiddie and single scoop after tax and tip. Cold Stone would have been two heaping cups for that price.

One of the iconic ice cream places of the Twin Cities and this place never ceases to amaze me. First of all, am not an ice cream lover as much as my wife. But when your spouse is one, businesses like these flourish when the other partner has no choice but try something for the sake of company. I’ve been a regular visitor to this location and the one near the University of St Thomas, more often here. They have a bandwagon of flavors of ice cream and sorbets and they keep rotating the flavors other than keeping some of the standard ones constant. You can taste all of it with a small spoon without any limits. Some of the experimental ones would sometimes taste disastrous like the Guinness flavor I recently tried with a ‘taster spoon’. Nevertheless, I wanted to point out one instance that happened almost 6-8 months back when we got our cups with an Izzy’s scoop on top of it and went somewhere else to start eating the ice cream. To our utter disbelief we found a long strand of blonde hair on one of the ice creams. We we were already far off from Izzy’s and decided to call the location to report it, after throwing it to trash. The person on the other line was totally apologetic and took down my details. Then in less than a day the store manager called my number and expressed how sorry she was for the experience we had and emailed us a gift card as compensation. Now this is what I call a customer service and this is what has ensured that we keeping going back to them all the way from Hopkins for their ice cream. Just scoop it!

Was good but kind of expensive for what it was. Very pleased with our stop here. Took our ice cream and sat across at the park. The Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream was the best of what we had. The malted waffle cone was very good. Good fast service even for the long long.

The line can be intimidating. Allow 30 minutes on a weekend to get into the building. Once in, the service is wonderful. Everyone is delightful and good and suggesting a complimentary flavor for your Izzy scoop. It was my first time and I'll be back for sure! We love Izzy's! It's literally the best ice cream in the Twin Cities. So sad to see them go. The owner said tonight that they'll continue to sell at Kowalski's and Byerly's. Not the same but still yummy.

Izzy's is hands-down my favorite ice cream. Either the Minneapolis or the St. Paul locations are a perfect stop on a summer day, or while you're passing through town. The unique flavors to their homemade ice cream make them stand out above the rest!

Everyone loves Izzy's (even people who like beer flavored Ice cream) and some people don't mind long lines. If you don't mind a wait, grab a delicious cone with novel or favorite choices for ice cream for about $6-12. The time of day makes a difference on how long it takes to order a freshly made waffle cone.

Izzy's, you are generous! You get a tiny scoop of your choice with any single/double scoop purchase! For a dedicated ice-cream shop, these scoops were much larger than what I expected. Staff friendly and will let you sample any flavors you wish. Tried Blueberry Cheesecake, Ginger, Raspberry Sorbet, Chocolate w/ Crunchy stuff. Ordered Blueberry cheesecake, mango sorbet, and chocolate w/ crunchy stuff! Very good!
