You want hot n spicy crawfish, pig feet, Turkey necks, crabs etc....no frills and straight to the point spot to come get ya fix! The two older gentlemen working the counter are seasoned vets! Stopped here fresh off the plane from Los Angeles and it didnt disappoint!

Staff was nice, and place was pretty empty but clean. Boudin was good and very much similar to Tony's in Baton Rouge. Crawfish/corn seasoned to PERFECTION and large size - but unfortunately slightly overcooked and soft (or oversoaked). Will give them another go earlier in the day during this season. Thanks - you should be teaching others how to appropriately spice your mud bugs!

Excellent boiled in spice, none of that sprinkled on foolishness. Spicy, done for locals. Easy to peel and nice sized. The sides were excellent too.

SPICY and flavorful!!! The crawfish are amazing and the turkey necks are tasty!!! Boiled shrimp and neck bones are also a hit. Give it a try.

First there is no dining inside. Second there is no dining outside. I come from out of state and was told this was the place for crawfish..... When I arrived at 12:15 they said crawfish wouldn't be ready till 1:00. My Uber driver already and I was annoyed but wanted to try it since it was hyped up place from a couple locals. At 1:15 I finally got some crawfish went over to the side where they have a little bar and decided to try a piece of corn while I waited on my ride. I was told I couldn't eat here it was to go only. The crawfish was good but I've had better. The corn and potatoes did not taste fresh out the pot. The sausage was not good at all. Idk maybe it just all rubbed me wrong but I def wouldn't recommend.

While the crawfish is good sometimes, the customer service is horrible. I've been here multiple times. I've had some good experiences, but more negative encounters than good. I value customer service because your food can be mediocre, as many places in New Orleans' food industry can be, but your customer service will keep you in business and will help to set you apart from other places. In addition, it's not a good look to lie about whether or not you have fresh crawfish coming out. Almost everyone's preference would be been to wait for fresh crawfish. After asking, I was told they were done boiling crawfish for the day at 2:15 pm, even they close at 7 pm. Of course after I asked this question and paid, the gentleman that boils the crawfish coincidentally asked his coworkers if they were ready for a new batch to be brought out and of course he was silenced right away. I encourage J&J Seafood to provide a better experience for customers. I personally won't be back, but I do wish them well.

Always have a certain time that crawfish is going to be ready... 1:00, 1:15, 2pm. Will not be back again. I have been going to this place for crawfish for years and lately between attitudes, price/lb and not having crawfish ready until after a certain time it's getting ridiculous. My patience with this food establishment has run thin and non existent.

Oh yes this is the BEST in the city. Don't debate me seriously I never drive to Westbank except for work.I heard about this black owned place that has been around for 30 years and decided to visit; especially since there are no others black owned who do seafood. Crawfish were perfect. Loved the spices in them and corn & potatoes. My husband loved the sausage and turkey necks. Yes, this is a WIN! My new crawfish spot.

It was delicious local place. The service was fast, but they could be friendlier/welcoming. It is a to go place so you'll have to find a place to eat your food if your visiting from out of town.

Absolutely amazing seafood. I meannn, it was crazyyy. I'm from the Chesapeake Bay Area and used to a certain preparation of seafood. We asked the guys if we could get butter for our seafood and they laughed at us, "you don't need butter for this!" We were assured and they were absolutely right. Nothing was needed, it was perfect. I went home trying to replicate this seafood boil like 3 different times before I gave up realizing that they're just different at J&J.

Continues to be the absolute best crawfish I've had! I've tried several other options on the West Bank and they do not come close to being as fresh, as flavorful, as clean and as tasty as J&J ! I no longer order from anywhere else. These are superb. Also recently tried the crab legs and those were fantastic!

As a general rule I am drawn towards authentic & locally/family owned restaurants. In New Orleans there are tons of seafood places to choose from and it can be overwhelming. While I was looking through Yelp in my hotel room, J&J Seafood stuck out to me. It is located outside of the normal "tourist" area, is family owned & operated, had great reviews, & wasn't extremely expensive. It was a short 10 minute drive from my hotel. The staff was helpful, conversational, & very nice. I wanted to get a good sampling of what they had to offer and experience a boil while visiting Nola. So I got a pound each of shrimp, crawfish, crab, & potatoes and rounded out my order with corn and sausage. I excitedly drove back the hotel, changed clothes (in case dropped food on my nice clothes), spread out the newspaper, dumped out the food, said a prayer of thanks, & dug in. Man! This was an amazing experience! The food was wonderfully seasoned, very juicy, and perfectly cooked. It was the best crawfish I've ever had and the shrimp was just as extraordinary. I almost finished this entire spread. My stomach was happy. If you're in NO and looking for great boiled seafood, you gotta check out J&J Seafood.

Blue crabs were delicious! The service was fast and ready exactly when they said it would be. The staff is always kind.

My favorite spot for crawfish. I've been going to them faithfully for over 15 years and their food is the most consistent. The crawfish are NEVER dirty and ALWAYS seasoned well. I'm a crawfish fiend, and there are times when I won't even go out to get crawfish if I can't get it from J&Js.

Hands down the best crawfish in the greater New Orleans area!!! I've had crawfish from all over. Slidell, Belle Chasse, Gentilly, New Orleans East, uptown, Chalmette, Gretna, Harvey, and many other places. Nice and spicy with a unique flavor. If you're ever in Gretna, they are a must try. As a matter of fact, they are a must try even if you are not in the area!! A1

OMG. I don't know where to start! This place is amazing! My first time in New Orleans and i was stunned by how great the food is! I'm from Los Ángeles CA and I was shocked on how great this food was. We went twice on two different days on the same week. That's how good it was. This place is a must!

Yeah, it's that good. If you're in the metro area you've got a ton of places to pick from when it comes to good seafood, but these guys are consistently named among the best. They're on Franklin Ave on the Westbank, right near the parish line splitting Orleans and Jefferson. Family owned and operated since 91, you'll see a collection of photos from their nearest and dearest growing up which makes me feel good about spending my money here. The dish that draws most there is the crawfish, expertly seasoned, and left in the water long enough to get nice and "juicy". It's been hours since I had my lunch there and I'm still trying to decide how soon I'm going to visit them again.

For 20 years I've gone to the same corner store for my boiled food whenever I visit. Over the years the consistency has been nonexistent so I decided to search for a new spot... If you're looking for a good seasoned boil, check this spot out. It's tons of corner stores in the city that sale boils but most of them are over OR Undercooked and the seasoning is lacking. This is my new spot- I ate my food so fast I didn't get a chance to snap a photo ‍

I decided to try J J seafood today due to alot of people recommended them on a Facebook page called Where Black Nola Eats. The crawfish was so delicious season well but its a little spicy but not too spicy. Im from Memphis,TN and we do not have good crawfish. I really enjoyed them and will return next time I visit NOLA.

This is a place that you must go into a real neighborhood to find. If you are looking for boiled seafood, this place is the truth. The closer you get to Mardi Gras time, the longer the lines get for this place. The flavor for the crawfish and turkey necks are on point like a sniper's scope. This place is not a torist trap place, with a huge fancy building. You just have some local Algiers, New Orleanians that knows what great flavor is when it comes to boiled seafood. Many seafood options, but I just do my crawfish and turkey necks here...happily! Definitely let these people test your taste buds.

Okay, the only thing about this place is that they move kinda slow, right? But they also move carefully with no error. This, definitely makes it worth the wait. This is clearly a family owned spot with a lot of history and the owners seem really nice. I wanted to try J&J during Covid but I never found them open, glad to see y'all back! Can't wait to come grab/ pack on some pounds with y'all .

Great crawfish, good level of spice. The sausage was killer, too. The place is bare-bones basic, but it doesn't need to be fancy when all they're focused on is killing it with the crawfish. I'll totally come back here.

This place has fantastic crawfish boil, corn, sausage, shrimp and more. Not too spicy but oh so good and full of flavor. No extra sauces needed! TAKE OUT ONLY- no chairs or tables.

Without a doubt, some of the best crawfish and shrimp I have had. And the customer service is outstanding to boot! I think this place has been in business over 25 years. They are obviously doing something right. Can't wait to return! The sausage,by the way, is superb!

My family and I were in New Orleans for a quick trip and, of course, we wanted crawfish. There are a lot of great places in the city to go, but we wanted "real" crawfish. Not a small plate at a chain, the good good. So we chose JJ's. Best decision ever!! We got crawfish with all the fixins, shrimp, crab legs...it was inexpensive and fabulous!! Thanks for a great meal!

We took a Lyft over to the West Bank to J&J. We discovered that it was take out only and we were not deterred! We grabbed 8 lbs of crawfish and 2 lbs of shrimp with potatoes and sausage which was good for 4 of us. They assembled a bag and we took it back to the courtyard at our hotel and it stayed plenty hot for the 20 minute drive. Fantastic stuff! It is not overwhelmingly spicy and you can really taste the seasoning (some cloves are in the mix). Highly recommend even if you're just visiting for the weekend. Grab a bag and bring it back to your hotel or find a park!

This was worth all six hour drive, the food was amazing!! Being from Atlanta and never having tasted a properly prepared Crawfish this was truly a party in every aspect! Seasoning was beyond Perfect. Stop reading and run while they are still open

Our go to spot for crawfish. We get the crawfish and all of the sides that we like (Corn, Potatoes, Sausage, & Turkey Necks) Sometime the spice can get to be a bit unbearable, buy today they were spot on! I can't wait until we get further along in the season so the crawfish can be bigger. Big props to these guys for sticking ONLY with Louisiana crawfish. Last week they wouldn't sell the Chinese frozen stuff because of our bad weather.

One of the best markets to get wonderfully seasoned seafood! This is the place where I first tried neckbones. Their boiled crawfish is usually spot on. Their potatoes, though, are legit. I come here just for the potatoes sometimes. They are delicious :)

I have read countless reviews and recommendations about the "best crawfish boil" and I gotta say after casing a few different spots this is my official unofficial top crawfish joint. Crawfish were massive and seasoned so lovely. Ordered potatoes and sausage as well and everything was so delicious. Also great customer service , quick and easy. Will definitely be coming back to this spot.

This is one of the few non-Vietnamese owned seafood places who do crawfish spicy enough for me. Really good pricing and spiced to perfection. What more can a chili-head crawfish lover ask for? Oh, beer. But that's about it.

When crawfish season comes around, this is my go-to spot. I give you fair warning. It is spicy - but that's one reason why I love the food here. They also sell boiled crab, shrimp, boudin, turkey necks, as well as all the corn and other fixin's that go with your traditional boiled crawfish. This is a family owned and run business. I went here because the guy on nola.com said that they had some of the best crawfish in the city. Boy was I disappointed! Small crawfish at a high price that tasted like they had been reheated. Yeah, they were spicy, but they tasted like someone just dumped cayenne pepper on them. No seasoning to make the spicy flavor more complex. Don't know about the rest of their food, but I'll never go here for crawfish again.

this family operation is amazing. i've come several time snow and the quality is consistent- great crawfish, good prices, and everything is well spiced. the boudin is good but on the mushier side, the smoked sausage is straight up amazing. worth going out of the way for!

Heaven heaven heaven. I can't even begin to explain the flavor that is in the crawfish and boudin. They serve crawfish and pork boudin. Both are amazingly good. NOTE! - this is a TAKE OUT SPOT ONLY. I was tired of going into restaurants out here and seeing white peoples im like where are all the ethnic folk at? Me being of brown skin. So I saw everyone going in here and I said that's where I need to be!!!! Corn on cob was on point potatoes were spicy and soft and the crawfish were chunky with a lot of meat! Must go!!!!!!!

I love J & J's! Growing up on the Westbank this is one of my go to spots for wonderful seafood. The seafood is spicy but amazing. I love the turkey necks, sausage and boudin.
