First time here after moving to Richmond in May… in a word: phenomenal! Mark is the cook and also waited on us. He’s friendly, helpful, and obviously loves his work. Best burger and fresh-cut fries ever! 1/2 lb of fresh, hand pattied, locally sourced beef cooked to perfection. We will be back many times!

Was blown away by the quality of the awesome food! I will definitely return for the food, Mark always does a spectacular job as well as mason !!! But however the bartender was as if she had a problem with taking my order 🙄. She was very unprofessional and when my phone rang and I ignored the call she rolled her eyes and gently threw her hands up as if I was taking away her precious lounge time. I was greatly disappointed with service but I will always return as long as the food is right ! ! !

We love this place! We don't live close enough to go often but when we're craving an amazing burger, we make the drive. The fresh cut fries are absolutely amazing also! Joyce was a great bar tender, as always, we'll be back again!

Great burgers and fries Our waitress, Boots was also very good. She came by multiple times to see how we were doing and kept our drinks full. It's the first time I've had Dogfish Hazy-O IPA, I'd recommend that too. It's hard to believe we've lived in Richmond for 3 years and we've never been here. We'll be back for sure.

Stopped in for a cocktail with friends and was pleased with the atmosphere and friendly service.

Well we sat at the bar, the bartender seemed as though he really didn't want to be there and, honestly, rather heavy handed threw the menus in front of us, and backwards too.. seems more comfortable of a place in the dead of winter, a bit too dark inside on a sunny afternoon, almost depressing.. food is good, but could be so much better if the presentation had been improved.. lame .

This place was great, the waitress / bartender was helpful and did her job well. The food was ok, I had grill cheese and ham, it was a bit too much ham not enough cheese. But it's bar food, so I don't judge to much. Now my wife didn't care for her burger. The French fries were great, the seasoning was kind of bland to be honest.

The people were fine, the bar tender didn’t care enough to ask me if I wanted a drink until 10 minutes after sitting at the bar. The food used to be alright until they had their new staff when my family started getting sick, oh yea! And I got my drink drugged there! The staff didn’t seem to have any concern when I couldn’t walk properly after 1 bottled beer!

It is your typical corner bar and we loved it! We felt right at home! We had 1 mushroom cheeseburger and 3 fish & chip dinners! Food was excellent and service was excellent! We will be back!

Our server Denise and chef Mark absolutely killed it tonight! They had a nearly full house of thirsty & hungry folks, and they were the only two here keeping everyone fed & watered with a smile. They work like they own the place, and they don't!

We stopped in for a quick couple of drinks. Our bartender was fast, kind and funny. We only ate an appetizer of mini tacos that was satisfying and simple. Overall, I'd go back again to try their daily specials next time.

Great local bar. Small and cozy digs with a nice bar and laid back, friendly staff and clientele. Their burgers are great, the beer is cheap and cold. Worth a stop!

Visited Jan 13, 2024 for dinner at 7PM. Parking lot was an ice rink. Stopped snowing at least 12 hours prior. Owner apparently won't spend $50 on salt and 20 minutes to spread to protect his customers. Despite the slip-and-slide, went inside and was greeted by not-friendly staff. Went to Armada Bar and Grill where parking was shoveled and salted, staff were friendly and food was excellent.

We stopped in here from a recommendation we got from a friend and absolutely will be back. The service was great and the food was delicious. The atmosphere here is a pretty solid bar / restaurant atmosphere and enjoyable for sure. The beer choice was not vast and large but had some great quality beers. I had the Reuben and would definitely get it again along with the mushroom Swiss burger my wife had. Can't wait to try some more foods at this great spot in the future

Seriously a bit divey- local bar'ish but awesome nonetheless. 2 beers (very cold beer), 2 cokes, nachos, fries and a burger for under $20 and the food was super delist! The wait staff is not going to wait on you hand and foot but hey they are polite and kind. They have a nice side deck the tables are a little awkward as they are long and set up for like groups of 10 ish bit just make yourself at home. Ask about the specials they always have something on special.

Fantastic burgers, great jukebox. I seriously had my doubts when my friend suggested we go here because he knows I love burgers. The bacon cheeseburger I had was DELICIOUS. Quality burger, we both could taste. Service was alright, the girl could probably tell her crop top and tan wasn't going to earn her a bigger tip from us, but it she did an adequate job. We would definitely go back. The burgers are better than the ones we've gotten lately from our usual place in Yale. The drinks were damn good too. Not super strong, but better than most bars lately. The place doesn't look like much, so stop in if you want a good burger.

Came in today, Saturday, for lunch after golf. The golf course recommended jj. Inside was pretty busy but we sat outside and it was only our table out there most most of the time. Service was terrific. The waitress gave us great recommendations. We had a burger and patty melt along with a saugatuck summer shandy. The burgers were great. Cooked peefectly. My specialty burger had a great combo of ingredients and was presented pretty fancy for a tavern. It was a 1/2 lb burger with fries for $10. Highly recommend.

Cute little place in Richmond nothing fancy just a little dive bar which are my favorite .. service was good . I got fried cauliflower which were ok friend got the burger special with fries which they liked alot

After work stop in.... fast service, reasonably priced and great burgers. People all end up regulars here a knapps.

Absolutely my favorite hometown restaurant and bar. Best burgers in town and they make delicious butter garlic chicken wings upon request!

Very local, and welcoming. They have amazing hand pattied burgers that are locally sourced from the meat market up the street. You can taste the freshness and it makes all the difference! Beer prices here are hard to beat. $10.25 for a bucket of 5 domestic bottles! $3 well cocktails and they have cute seasonal cocktail & shot menus with tasty options. Happy hour from 4pm-7pm Monday-Friday too which means already good prices just get better. Great place to stop and have a quick burger and a beer or hangout with friends and family all night.

This is a cool little place! I was meeting a friend who lives in Grosse Pointe and since I'm in Lexington, Richmond is a good midway point. Super friendly people from the patrons to the bartender! We had a couple beers and some nachos. The chips make the nachos and these were spot on! The music in the background was a mix of 80s dance, rock, and country. Very eclectic just like the crowd and we loved it! On our way out we met Charlie and his buddy whose name I don't know, but he could be a very distant cousin of Iggy (which is a compliment - so fun!) and meeting them topped off the afternoon! They were so friendly and we would have loved a beer with them if we didn't need to get on the road. I'd recommend this place for sure and will definitely go back! Jane~

Great bar burger! But would not recommend as a "dinner" place. Definitely more of a dive, free popcorn, cold beer.

Good bar burger. Needs at leaet 1 additiomal server so the bartender doesn't have to do it all. Granted I was there on a Monday around lunch time. Basic neighborhood bar.

Coldest beer in town. Best bar burger I've had. Old time joint with lots of regulars. Free popcorn too. Count me in but don't expect fancy, super clean or great bathrooms.

This was my first time at this bar and the girls, Jen and Colleen, were amazingly sweet, welcoming, and talkative! This bar has a TON of TV's, it seemed to be a very complicated process to get sound on specific TV's. But overall a great experience!!!!

Wife and I have been going there for 15 years. It now has new owners from what the waitress said and you can tell ! Asked for a basket of onion rings( $3.75) and 2 beers and 2 burgers. The onion rings just barely coved the bottom of the basket( 8 total, normal size). We asked both the waitress and grill cook about it and they both apoloigized. We were later told orders from the "new owners" is to count the rings(8)...... When we got the bill she did take a dollar off for the rings. But, looking at the bill, my wife's 22oz blue moon draft was $8.00 and my 22oz draft of bud light was $3.50. I asked if the $8.00 was a mistake because we were shocked. Bottom line, for a "local" bar with smelly bathrooms, they have know crossed the price point line....... P.S. Burger was still good....
