J O Spice Co

I don't feel the way I was treated today reflects JO as a whole. I get to your retail location about 2-3 times a year to get JO #1 and other spices. Last visit I got three rolls of crab paper but left them at counter. I called and was told they would be held for me till I got back in. Today I spent 80+ dollars on spices told the young girl about the crab paper I forgot last time. She asked, do I have the receipt? This was after I told her about leaving the three rolls last time. You still owe me three roll of crab paper because I was made to buy the three that was owed. WOW~! 10$ worth upsetting a long time customer? I was more upset being made to feel like I was trying to rip JOSpice off for 10$. Very poor customer service in this case.

Delivered to Here 8-4-21 53’dry van. Receiving personnel very courteous. Showed up 1hr early and they put me right into a dock. 4stars only based on tightness of dock. Aside from that, not terrible at all

Great experience here. I called ahead of arrival. Spoke to an awesome woman on the phone and they were able to get me a door within mins. Arrived first thing in the morning and was out in about 20 mins. Personally, I pulled in forward to the back docks, reversed out with my trailer going towards the "Do Not Enter" signs, and I backed into the dock (3-point) to avoid a "Blind-side Backing" situation. Dock area is small bit manageable.

Not sure what took me so long to write a review about J O Spice Co. I have been visiting there store for years and when I lived in Maryland I always made sure to have plenty of J O #2 on hand for those pop up crab feasts. Today I spent a few minutes talking with Ginger and got the inside scoop of a up coming TV appearance. Thank for being the real taste of Maryland. Keep coming up with more great blends, they will surly be added to my spice cabinet. If you are in the area, take a few minutes and visit J O Spice and stock up on everything Spice and Maryland!

I love J.O. Spice - I love their spices. We use J.O. Spice No. 2 at our steam trailer for crabs and No. 1 for Shrimp and its a seasoning staple. we are big fans of curbside pickup. We buy our bags, boxes, spices, mallets and t-shirts. I am in love with my beautiful sterling silver crab necklace and we adore the store. The staff is always kind and friendly - we will be customers for life❤️🙏🌞🦀🦀🦀

J.O. is a great company with great people. Love giving them business from spices, gift boxes, to chips, clothing, personally engraved items and many more because I know they will knock it out of the park! Their attention to detail and care about their quality cant be matched. Looking through the reviews it is nice to see others feel the same way. I did click on the few people who left a one star review and they only leave 1 star reviews and do so at Fast Food Restaurants, if you know J.O. then you know it says more about who that reviewer is as a person because J.O. will go above and beyond to make sure their customers have the best buying experience possible. This is my 2nd time doing some seafood spice shopping at JO Spice Company. My 1st visit I came in 2019 because over that summer, I had crabs with their seasoning on it and the food truck told me about this shop. It's way more then seafood spices here. From novelty gifts to cooking utensils and various seafood-related items, you'll be sure to come out with at least 2 things. I wanted to stop by during the winter to pick up some items for Christmas but the shop is closed due to Covid restrictions. However, I was able to order online and had the choice of picking up or deliver for $7. Since I had to drive to Baltimore later that week, I chose the pick up option. I ordered a Christmas-theme seafood seasoning, a Christmas mallot & a 'mom' mallot since my mother has now become obsessed with crab/crab legs since the pandemic. I look forward to them opening back up the shop soon but in the mean time, order online, you won't be disappointed with any of their special seafood seasonings.

I love their spices and stopped by to look inside get some great crab and shrimp spices. The staff were really nice and they have all these cute crab themed items. I bought a cheese board with a crab on the bottom and a crabby key chain. Of course 3 bottles of spice. If you get a chance to go by definitely stop in !!!

First of all... I own a retail fish market on Long Island and have been using J. O for years. Mallets are top notch, crab steam pots are quality, custom oyster knives are fantastic, private label spices are professionally done, bay country bulk spice blows the doors off of old Bay and the breading and batters are a huge hit in my shop. Turn around time is rediculously fast. (two days and it's at my door). Customer service is second to none... Seriously the nicest people to do business with.

This is the BEST place in Maryland! The employees treat you like FAMILY! They explain, they show, they deliver AND they stay late after hours!!!! Thanks Kathleen and Brittany you are truly appreciated and my cousin from Miami appreciates you as well!!!

want a crab spice the old fashioned way? here's your answer. JO JO JO JO JO spice. the quality ingredients they use is awesome - crabs just don't taste the same way - this is totally making my mouth water. Friend gave me one one day, ate, and was in fiji...seriously. They sell this in some places. If you see one, GET IT because your taste buds wil thank you.

My brother-in-law turned my wife and I onto JO a few years back and we've never gone back to the other big brand. This stuff is off the hook! No comparison.

Top-notch operation. Ordered personalized mallets and they were ready the same day I finalized the artwork. Kathleen was so helpful and that woman has patience! She even went in the back to make me an UTZ girl mallet while I waited because they had run out in the gift shop. They have the cutest stuff. Make sure you have time to look around when you go! Haven't had their crab seasoning, but I was hungry when I pulled into the parking lot and got a whiff of it. Prices of the mallets and the other items I bought were reasonable. Annnnnnnnddddd... they can personalize anything! If you're a MD/crab lover and want something just for you or as a gift, this is the place! Can't wait to give the mallets to everyone at our charity event!
