Wings were on point per usual. Drinks was doing what needed to be done. We had a good time. The music was providing the vibes. A night out with the crew. Highly recommend

I have not been a JR Crickets since 2007 so was looking forward to getting my teeth and tongue on some of their wings and watching some Olympic coverage. Was not disappointed, our server Kia was on point and did not miss a beat. She made sure we knew that all payments were cashless and that there was a 20% gratuity added automatically. The food… I think the cook knew my mom, because her lemon pepper wings were damn near perfect, while my 10 piece with dirty bird sauce were a little over cooked. They were hot and fresh and so tasty that I ate them without complaint. Kia assured me that I could have sent them back and had them redone but the flavor was so good I didn’t want to wait. The sweet potato totes were better than good and I could have ate them all night. The beer was cold and my glass was never empty for long. Not much Atmosphere on a Wednesday night but the customers all seemed to be enjoying themselves. I expected more sports memorabilia but the number of screens was impressive. I recommend a visit to anyone that likes supporting neighborhood businesses and pretty good food.

Although part of me wants to mark the service provided as a 3⭐️, the young lady who helped us did the best she could considering she was the only server available and she was the bartender. The rest of the experience was less than impressive. Well, outside of the fact that the facility including the bathroom was clean & updated when considering the age of the building. As far as the rest... I ordered the mixed greens salad, which they must have run out of greens so the cook decided it was OK to substitute with romaine - was barely edible and was served in a cracked wooden bowl. The crab legs were presented well but may have been freezer-burned and lacked flavor. I didn't get sick so I count it as a win. My son (who had the idea of coming here), ordered a burger with a side of wings. I forget the name of the sauce on the wings, but I believe it's one of their signature flavors, it was yummy. But the burger was lacking. He says that he has been here before and he enjoyed the fish and wings and that is why he wanted to return. Nonetheless, those might be the only things worth trying. Outside of that, I enjoyed the music, so if I ever wanted to go to a day bar on the Westside I would consider returning. Thankfully that is not something I find myself doing.

Cheap and fun place to hang out. Went there and they had a live band. Mandatory 20% tip but the drinks are cheap enough so it doesn't matter. Plus they have good wings

Food came quickly and was freah and hot. We had the wing Happy Hour/Lunch special for $10. They also have drink specials throughout the week. Love the original JR Crickets homemade ranch. I'd be that s...on everything!

If you go here please check your food. I ended up taking a burnt philly cheese steak sandwich home with barely any meat on it. They gave me cold onion rings and never gave me the okra that I ordered. Then they gave me nine wings and one of them was a nub when I ordered ten, smh. I spent over a $100 at this place. What a travesty.

I normally don’t eat at this location I go to the one on north ave my son told me this location is good I said ok we order 2 twenty pieces meals and a cease salad the wings was nasty I guess it was only my 20 piece come to find out they rung up the wrong flavor it was called cease something I can’t remember the salad almost sent me to the hospital when I start eating it from the top it was good after I stuck the fork all the way down the moment I tasted it I spit it out it taste like something strange it started making me feel sick and a little dizzy and my heart was beating fast not sure what some one dropped in my salad I pray to god I feel better by tomorrow if not I’m going to emergency room and yes I keep the salad just in case they need to test it for evidence Not to mention my child ate some her stomach hurt we will see by tomorrow I will come back with a update but I will never ever eat here again

This food is so u good! I get this lunch special pretty frequently. It's the Cascade drip flavor.

My work ordered takeout from here so I can't speak on service or ambiance. I chose the chicken fingers with fries. For my sauces, I selected honey mustard as well as BBQ, and also asked for ketchup packets and a side of hot sauce. I absolutely LOVE the rare mod of ordering "crispy fries," so when I saw that as an option, I was stoked. The crinkle cut fries were crispy as promised, and satisfying! As for the chicken fingers, they were very dry... but nothing sauce can't fix! I alternated dunks into the BBQ, Hot Sauce, and Honey Mustard--all were enjoyable. This place is a very no-fuss, casual sports bar, so taper your expectations and you'll enjoy it for what it is. I ate every last bite of this box.

10/10 I truly recommend! The food, the service and even the line dancing on Wednesday was a vibe! We went with the wings 20 piece. Have teriyaki have lemon pepper $25.99 but it was so worth it. Wings were very flavorful and the fries that came with it was outstanding. I ordered a margarita $5 and later a red stripe. My bestie ordered the catfish nugget basket. I will most definitely be back on a Wednesday. My only downfall was the air was not on and it was warm on there. JR, crickets at Cascade has been open for a few years now at the closing sometime ago. I can tell that a lot of hard work was put in to back opening of the restaurant/sports bar and it was a success. I will return. I just want them to turn the air on. Thanks JR. I was carving some wings and fingured this would be a good spot. I used to frequent the JR Crickets in Midtown but since moving to the Southside, this is around the corner. The wings were crispy with just the right amount of sauce; I usually get extra wet (IYKYK) but this was just right. The drinks were strong and flavorful; bartender must've been in a good mood that day. We went because we thought there was going to be triva on Thursdays, but there was none, just something to be aware of. Parking is free and the restaurant has been renovated with clean bathrooms and a nice patio. Overall, I'll definitley return. Solid choice for wings and good drinks.

Food was not good. We asked for crispy wings but they were so hard that we couldn't get any meat off about 6 of them. It was toooo crispy! Please do NOT ask for crispy We had 13 fries (the other person counted them) Usually you have a good amount-Nope We had no condiments on our table. We had to use the other table(which the lady was mad about)-and finally the server borrowed one from another table. Service ummm maybe it was tooo many people on the patio-lady said I'll be back because I have other people inside (maybe she was the only one) WE* must do better Ambiance-It's like all the others* I wish establishments like this would take what we write in consideration. I wish they would reach out to truly see where the disconnect started. It's unfair that we pay a 20% gratuity for poor food and service! I won't return......

Soooo, if you old old Atlanta, you remember what this place used to be and we adjusted. I would lying if I did not acknowledge that is was loooonnggg over due for new owners and some upgrades and that's just what has happened!! I love this particular JR Crickets location and the Original downtown(even tho wayyy too much going on at that one these days)...y'all can keep the rest of em (in my Atlanta voice). But that's also due to the fact that these two are most familiar. We enjoyed the ambiance, the live DJ and the beautiful up such as the marble style floors(which is rare for a bars set-up, and the various TVs for ease of watching the Texas vs NO game). The food was typical JR Crickets fashion but there were a few things that I want to call out: 1. The food was not hot; well sat at the bar and maybe it wasn't picked up fast enough but the fries where for sure room temp. If the food was hot it would have been a 500 out of a 100. 2. The mixed drinks are weak af, so I would stick to the "straight" light chaser. I had the peach tea and my sis had the mixed Long Island that the bartender Alicia stated she had mixed a few days prior so we took a chance on it. Titos and Jack are 6 dollars everyday so it makes more sense to get a double of these guys instead of anything mixed. 3. 20% gratuity on ALL dine in orders, so read read read. We did not tip over as the service was service. Nothing extra just to the point...I feel like had we'd complained about the room temp food or the mixed drinks being weak, it would not have been received well by our bar tender. Nonetheless, I would most definitely go back and frequent...it's got more pluses annnnddd this is one of my favorite spots to frequent when home

Don't go they have fell all the way off. Seemed like a new server was working she was all over the place, just unaware. Finally what looked like manager placed my order, for a 10pc and salad it took about 30 minutes. No more than 10 people in the building. This use tbe my spot, I debated going I said that I would start following my intuition more but I didn't. I saw one couple walk out. Wings were hard and overcooked like they had refried them for a minute. I'm just hurt at service and quality of food at this location. Took wings home I didn't even feel like eating anymore when I was hungry. Wings went to the trash where they belonged

This is my second time at JR Crickets, but this specific location set the tone for me to never come back. The waitor I had was extremely self centered, flirtatious, and passive aggressive. He had a smart ass comment for EVERYTHING. I asked the waitor about certain things on the menu and he rudely replied "either you're going to get it or not." I mean really is this how JR Crickets really handles business on a daily? Going further, a random woman from the kitchen brought the wrong food to the table and had the audacity to blame the customer for her mistake Her specific words: "He took the wrong food. He ate sombody elses food." Yet she wasn't even our designated server. For this place to he full of so much audacity, the damn food should at LEAST be good. My grandma cooks better than this. I could barely enjoy myself with the bad attitudes the workers had. This establishment is honestly a disappointment to the franchise and I expect better. The waitor I had then lied saying he was the OWNER, yet allowed myself and my group of 6 to be treated any type of way. I refuse to come back to this establishment and will definitely let others know not to do the same.

The food was good and hot. The service was great. They were short on help that day, and the bartender/waitress had great energy and an amazing attitude, and to top it off, she was the only one working because the other server called out. They also had line dancing!!! I had a good time!!!

Tonight was the first time I visited this J. R. cricket location. I guess I was expecting the same type of service and quality of food that I have become accustomed to at the South Cobb location. Understanding it has just recently reopened, the servers need more training. One male server passed by my table and asked was everything OK. Before I could get a word out, I realized he didn't expect a response because he kept moving. I saw him in deep conversation with a man that said he was something Floyd. At least that's the name I heard him mention as he was talking to some people at a table next to me. Anyhow, I ordered some chicken wings, Only. The waitress said it came with a side, so i ordered some onion rings and a bottle of water When I voiced my concern about the quality of the food the waitress responded "I'm new here". Not even an would you like to talk to the manager. Of course the manager was busy talking about all of the televisions and his beautiful refinished floors, instead of checking with the customers, to thank them for coming and make sure they were ok! I was shocked that my 13.99 wings + 1.00 for water came to $19.00 I was charged an up charge for the onion rings and a 10% order and pay fee. The waitress again, could not explain that charge to me. Neither did she refer the MANAGER to me! I wonder if the workers can approach the manager! After arriving home, I called +1 (404) 330-8874 to speak with the manager and was told the mail box was full I moved from Vinnings to CASCADE HEIGHTS so I could have more space and be around people who look like me! But this JR Crickets not for me! By the way I did give the waitress a very good tip! Bless her and the business

I was getting my truck serviced at an auto shop up the street from this spot and decided to come in and have a beer and wings while I waited. Right off the bat, the bathroom was not clean, it looked like the owner paid a junkie to install the sink and toilets, just didn't look or feel clean and in this day and time with covid running wild , I was concerned. The wings here are super small, barely any meat on the bones. The waitress service was okay.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. They forced me to pay a 20% gratuity, but the service is horrible.... So what am I paying the gratuity for? Every time my wife and I come to Atlanta I always try to go to JR Crickets, but this location is absolutely horrible. The pieces of chicken were small as hell and not worth what I paid. My wife's chicken caesar salad had hard/dry chicken and it was tasteless. We will never come back and I honestly would NOT recommend this.

Work crew came to get lunch. Alexis was sooooo patient with us. She helped with our up front and online orders; bringing out the food and drink in a timely manne, so it was still hot! Thanks for the attentiveness as well Alexis!

We received horrible service here. The bar person didnt have any customer service skills. We waited about 10 minutes before she even walked out to assist ( which she barely did.) She didnt ask to take our order just looked at us. She got my hisbands order and then walked away. Didnt ask was that all or anything. I had to yell "mam" for her to come back to get my order. The service and prices dont match at all. Nor the food. The wings arent cruncy at all. The wings weren't fried long enough to even taste fried. They were soggy. I asked for hot lemon pepper but I didnt get that. They gave me something but it wasn't a hot sauce. I asked for ranch dressing but they gave me blue cheese. Waitress didn't even try to see if me and my husband food was on the same ticket. She purposely seperated our orders. Never even asked are yall together? Is this on the same ticket? Nothing. She didnt even want to give my husband a pen to sign the seperate ticket. She said its right there. Worst service ever. Overall ill never go back here. The food is trash and the service.

Wonderful experience!! Hung out with my boys on an early Saturday evening.. we were greeted by Cece , she was the bartender.. All I can say is the drinks!!! Oh the drinks!!! We had a margarita pitcher and it was the EXACT way I like it.. she was engaged in conversation, and even invited us back for happy hour and karoke..(I'll definitely be back..) Wings and catfish nuggets were fast and fresh , shout out to the cook. Come holler at the crickets crew...

I have always thought that was so tacky. Usually that nickel and dime-ing mentality has always turned me away from JR.Crickets, as that's typically a source of tension (appallingly on the side of the waiters/waitresses to the customer) ** please consider factoring the cost of that wholesale bottle of dressing in the price of your meal. $.75 sounds a bit unreasonable for less than 2 oz of Ranch.

Ordered from Uber Eats. This was the first time I tried something else other than chicken wings. To begin, as you can see they used bag salad you get from any grocery store. I'm not saying it was bad, but def could have used more creativity. Especially for a salad that's cost $11. The tomato was of course very slimy. Could tell there weren't fresh. Other than that, it was just okay. Not good, but not bad. But... I will not order this again. Oh & I forgot, they're famous homemade ranch dressing was really good. As always

Terrible Service, I sat at the bar and felt invisible! I had to flag the bartender down and then she had an attitude. Never came back to check if my food was OK or if I needed anything else. Cleared my place and never asked if I wanted anything else, I had to ask her for the bill. Food was just OK. Gratuity was included unfortunately or I wouldn't have tipped at all. Not the friendly neighborhood place it could be. Sad because this could be a great neighborhood spot.

Another black owned business doing business wrong!! The website says they open at 11am, upon atrival at 12.45pm, I was told they weren't open and today they open at 1pm, but it maybe like 1:15ish. WTH?!?! Neighborhood business not acting like a reputable business at all. About 2 miles away are several non-black owned businesses. Check out Box Car, Wild Haven and Monday Night Brewery...they open on time and better customer service. -an unhappy, disappointed customer

Loved this place. I work close so I usually come during lunch or after working late. I usually get lemon pepper wings with ranch or shrimp/waffles. Drinks are good. The black waitress with the glasses is usually who helps me. Not sure what happened to the tall black mgr but he was awesome. Looks like it has a new owner or is becoming gentrified. Last time I came, someone had their dog at bar. Sigh. Hopefully the menu won't change and they'll stop purchasing these pigeon wings I've been receiving as of late.

Family, friends and I stopped in today to order drinks and late lunch around 3pm. We were greeted immediately by a friendly young lady named Courtney. She advised us to sit anywhere and was very attentive with our drinks and food request. Most of us ordered the cat fish which was served hot with fries. I also ordered a frozen margarita with salt and it was good. It's been years since I've been here and it still your typical neighborhood sports bar with a nice vibe. The only thing missing was the hookahs which are coming soon. Thank you Courtney for the excellent service. If you're ever in the area stop by.

The worst. Hawks was playing in the playoffs. Two servers on the floor, mine who was "supposed to get off at 8pm and was leaving after taking our order" 3rd quarter and still no food. Bathroom flooded. A fuckin disaster. The end.

The absolute best wings in town!!!! Always consistent. The drinks are very well priced and its like Happy hour all day, every day. Service with a friendly smile. I visit this spot on a regular, and will continue to do so. Short staffed at times but always a winning spot.

Sooooo, another place I won't go back to,at all. I'm hoping this was my waitress first day, if not week because she was not good and kept forgetting pieces of our order. Went this past Saturday to have drinks. Table of four but the waitress didn't ask if I wanted anything. I patiently waited while loud music played until she arrived back with there order (20 min wait). She brought them no silverware so they had to get there own from the bartender. I put my order in which took 20-30 minutes, because now it has picked up in here. I ordered buffalo shrimp with broccoli and a Woo Woo drink. The shrimp were horrible, salty, and chewy. My broccoli was seasoned well but mushy. When I did get my drink, it was ok but it did have a little kick. Idk if it was a Dj or just a cd but the music was a mixture of old Atlanta to present and other music. Parking lot is small. I gave it two stars because the waitress was sweet.

The bad customer service at this location will never make up for their food, especially when Atlanta has a ton of other wing spots that can do it better. To my dismay, I watched and experienced the most unprofessional women work in a serving capacity make drinks and serve food to people. After attempting to call in for a to go order, the bartender picked up the phone and hung up the first time and after calling back, she kept us on hold for over 10 min., spending her time in the background using profane language speaking to her colleagues and lord knows who else. After deciding to hang up and go in instead, one of the bartenders advised we needed to go stand over at the 'To Go' station before anyone could help us. While this was unsettling, especially since 2 of the bar tenders spoke and never said anything, I went ahead and followed their instructions while making an internal decisions i would need to adjust my attitude because I could feel everything I was getting from these women was just poor customer service. Should my expectations be high even though i'm on Cascade.... heck yeah..... why would that matter. The people that work there are doing a job but obviously I needed to stay in line or else this bad situation was just going to get worse. Man the service sucks been comin here for about 20yrs I try to stay within my hood was here sunday to watch game it took 20min to jus get a drink then it wasnt busy now im back on a Wednesday night didnt really want to come in but nobody answered the phone pull up not busy again servers jus chilling kicking it its literally 19 people here an i gotta wait like for real yall need to step it back up real staff not bodies

We're not from this area and stopped in because it was a bar and grill near our hotel. I mentioned to the waitress no mushrooms on my veggie wrap but while I was ordering she was staring at my menu like she didn't even realize they had it on their menu. I got my side salad and asked for ranch and she brought me blue cheese dressing instead. Then out came my wrap with mushrooms. They replaced it no problem. When she was clearing the food away she said "what was wrong with the salad" I said the dressing didn't seem right to me and my husband asked if it was blue cheese and she said yes... so I'm not sure where things got lost in translation. My husbands food was fine but after he ate we got our bill and she took away all my drinks even though I wasn't finished. Not the best customer service but as I can see from the other reviews, doesn't look like it comes as much surprise.

I tired not to leave a response but this is the second time in a row that I have been disappointed. The first time there was 8 people in the restaurant. I sat at the bar and it took 1 hour and 25 mins to get my food. The second time coming it took 30 minutes for a beer and I ordered a 20 piece all drums and I received the wrong flavor and mixed wings. The manager came over and ask me to take the drums out and eat those while he got the rest. I have no understanding why he would tell me this. It starts from the top and the manager needs to be better. I won't be back for at least a year and hopefully by then it'll be the JR cricket that I'm used too. Not even going to waste my time telling you how bad the experience was for my companions.

Sometimes you just wanna go to a spot have a few drinks and chill. JR Crickets on Cascade is just the place for that! This past Sunday I wanted to wind down from a week of celebrating but not too much. Immediately upon walk in, the atmosphere meets you as grown & sexy for chillin'. The live DJ mixed it up to accommodate everyone - from Atlanta to LA to NY to Europe. (I give the DJ a 9 cause he left out country ) I sat at the very full bar for a few minutes. I was acknowledged immediately! Service was personal-able and accurate. The dinning room was full and lively. I moved to the spacious patio and was greeted by a group of regulars. Tho I'm a non-smoker, I'm a collector of Cigars and knew this would be a great spot. Far from the Bartender's eager hospitality, the service on the patio sucked. There were plenty of severs inside but only one ventured out to the patio and ignored me on several trips for a good 15 minutes. It was the owner Jason that maneuvered around moving tables to accommodate new guests and his wife Queen that went and got a server to take my order. This took the Star level from a 5 to . But I do look forward to spending a lot of chill-moments here. The unofficial story of the location: it had become a place frequented by undesirables and the 'spending' community was forced out by weed-smokers, car break-ins and parking lot peddlers. Thanks to the new owners Jason and Queen, JR Crickets Cascade is back on my list of BLACK-OWNED and Positive places to meet and celebrate.

I love this place I always get the lemon pepper wings and the house salad, I usually just call first and get it to go. Best wings in Atlanta to me.

I placed an order for 100 wings and a fry through Yelp/Grub Hub. I attempted to call the restaurant for a matter and continuously got a busy tone. I was to pick up the order about and hour and a half later but was not able to reach the restaurant at all. We arrived to the restaurant only to find out our order hadn't been received and the staff member had a horrible attitude about it. We had to wait about 25 mins for the order to be prepared when I had placed the order over an hour in advance. The wings were great when we finally got them, but I don't recommend any attempting to place an online order or a call in order. You will be charged and your order will likely not make it to the restaurant.

Flew in from Miami and was recommended to go here for karaoke and DJ, music was too loud, service was horrible wings was just OK ..ordered a mixed drink with too much purée that I had an immediate allergic reaction..when I told the waiter I needed to change the drink for something different, she brought her manager back who told me they don't take drinks back..!! WTF After 5 minutes of explaining that something is in the drink making my throat itch, she finally took it back with an attitude even though I purchased a different drink. I try to support BLACK OWN BUSINESSES as much as possible but it's hard after receiving this kind of treatment

Came down and visited a close friend from here and decided we needed to get some wings. Got the wings and fingers with the dirty bird sauce. I have to say it was a good meal and with $11 pitcher of Long Island ice tea couldn't beat it. Good food for a good price. I'll defiantly recommend and come back as well.

I tried to call and place my order but after 3 calls and a busy tone each time. I decided to look online to see if I was calling the correct number and indeed I was but saw I could place my order online through DoorDash and it would be available for pick up once I got to there. DoorDash sent me text alerts to let me know when my order was received and when it was ready. I got there around 9 on a Friday night and once I walked in there wasn't anyone by the door so I looked across the room for the nearest waitress. I informed her that I have order online and the waitress was like "FROM GRUBHUB?" Yes, I put it in all caps bc that's how she asked me and I looked at her a bit confused because of the fact that the whole time everything had been saying DoorDash. It was not very loud or packed inside. She didn't ask me name or anything just processed to go to the back and give me my order. She didn't even ask if I needed anything else...she just placed the bag on the table and left. The waitress may have been having a bad night or something but it just poor customer service. There was a lady sitting by the door who may have been management who had asked me if I needed anything else though. I typically order jr crickets wings often and this was my first time ordering from this location in a year or so. The service was just poor. I won't be returning here anytime soon.

Thought the reviews would hold up.. I wasn't impressed. Long wait to get serviced. There weren't many people in there. Wings were pre cooked, over cooked and not enticing. I felt as if I had to wait on in the employees conversation to cease to order anything. I'm good. I don't like wings that much.

Place under new ownership but feels the same as the old. It's like they practice being hood. The place needs to be bleached because it smells like old grease. Could use a bit makeover as well. And they literally charge you for ranch or blue cheese. Never seen that before!

This is my go to spot! No better experience during the season if you don't have tickets than here! "Our" folks party it up!! What! The music, the vibe, keno -- people be happy and laughing. I love it. Food good (for bar food) and the booze keeps coming as long as you pay for it. I have not been to the new one on Lee St in College Park yet, so I look forward to that experience to compare.
