J. R. Crickets Union City

This is my worst experience at a JR CRICKETS IN UNON CITY GEORGIA on Jonesboro Rd. I WILL NEVER eat from here AGAIN just look at my pictures below and you will see why…SMDH. I have never experienced a JR crickets where the wings was the size of a baby toe and the chicken was raw on the inside with lots of blood coming out of it. I tried to call the store over 30 times to complain and NOBODY picked up the phone. I placed my order at 7:30 and picked the order up at 8 o’clock and called the store back from 8:15 to 9 o’clock. The store directory said this location in Union City Ga on Jonesboro Rd did not close until 10 so why are they not picking up the phone because I’m trying to get a refund and COMPLAIN because this FOOD was HORRIBLE. This food was not worth $43. Give me my money back PLEASE and THANK YOU😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

The bartender needs improvement on customer service and attention. It should be no reason I have to yell to get her attention. She was constantly on the phone and also it got to a point when another customer asked "Is there a bartender working!?". Especially it being a slow day. Food is always good so no complaints there it's more so customer service.

The waitress was more interested is herself and a male clientele she only checked in on me 1 time…. The level of service was a minus 20. I want be coming back to this spot… the Calamari tasted burnt maybe the oil needs changing. I don’t know smh 🤦‍♀️. I enjoy listening to music there was music in the background for it was faint. Overall experience sucx.

I don’t usually leave reviews but my experience was so awesome the other night, I had to. I visited the Union City store with my family. I ordered the fried Salmon bites . 🗣️OMG they were seasoned and fried to perfection. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We didn’t have one complaint! The drinks were made just right and the vibe and atmosphere was even better. Chef Taco came out and chatted with us for a quick minute while she was out greeting a few guests. You can tell that she takes pride in her craft and her kitchen staff. She mentioned some cooks that she’s working with & that they also made part of our meals. Their food was very delicious!!. I would 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back soon! You can’t beat a good time annnnnd good food!

Absolutely terrible. Ordered almost $70 worth of food, which included extremely nasty and soggy fried mushrooms, one 12 bone rib plate and a 6 bone rib plate with fries. I cannot believe a cook would put this crap on our plates. Absolutely terrible for them to charge that much for ribs and give us about what looked like 2 ribs chopped up. They were burnt, small, and stringy. Just look at the photo and see for yourself. I will never ever ever order from the location again!

Omg I used to be a regular here but I stopped going before I moved away in 2021 because the food got horrible and now that I’m back I heard they had a new chef so I decided to try it again and when I say the food is AMAZING!!!! Even the plating of the food was even beautifully plated and not just thrown together on the plate. I got a chance to meet the new chef and when I say Chef Taco is AMAZING!!! Her energy is so sweet and bubbly and she is so down to earth and humble. I will be returning back weekly you should meet me there you won’t be disappointed.

My service was great. The bartender Destiny was amazing her drinks were the bomb the food was awesome. I ordered the shrimp meal with chicken that she suggested and I was please is definitely a 10 out of 10.

This was me & my wife first time coming to this restaurant from word of mouth. Wings and fries were made to perfection. And our server “Sevyn” was great as well and very sweet. Will be back next time for happy hour.

Awesome service Myeisha is the BOMB bartender. Treated me like family and the drinks was on point. Check her out on Tuesday evenings for a great drink to relax after a long day. E.B was awesome checked on everybody and made sure everyone was having a wonderful experience. Check them out!!!! Customer service on point

Decided to head here for some drinks and wings on a last minute outing. Upon arrival, the servers were no where to be found so we asked the bartender if we could just sit anywhere and they said yes but after a few minutes of being ignored we decided to just sit at the bar. It was a party of 3 and we all ordered 10 pieces to go and a few double shots. The bartender was very attentive and did everything perfectly and saved this experience for us. Music was on point and vibe was right! If they were to get servers who actually were more attentive to guests this place would be five stars!

I want to really give them a -star considering the last time I was there, the food was garbage restaurant was not clean at all I walked in and got out just as fast

So about this place what really pissed me off is how I wanted to order over the phone but wouldn't let me now I order the dam cheesesteak cause it looked good on the menu and I must say I WAS NOT IMPRESSED df the bread was drenched with oil / soaked every bite it's so soft cause it's all in the bun and it wasn't seasoned right at all .. y'all need a chef come call me I can cook 609-772-0902 lmao names KD but anyway the onion rings was slick ok 1-5 , I'll give it a 3. Then it's so loud in there for no reason smh .. I'm not a person that like too much noise that's why I ordered over the phone smh the only thing good about the place is the servers ... Oh and the egg rolls was TRASH too !!

Probably the worst dining/bar experience I've ever had. Things were fine until the food arrived. I ordered 10 honey hot chicken wings with lp sprinkles; what I got was 10 little infant wings without the lp sprinkles. I informed the bartender - she apologized brought the lp sprinkles from the kitchen. Next, my brother went to use the restroom. About 5 minutes later, he called me to say there was no toilet paper or paper towels in the mens restroom! I immediately informed a staff member who informed the gentleman who appeared to be the manager. 10 minutes after that, no one had taken any paper products to the mens restroom. I started to walk to the restroom with bar napkins for my brother, but he met me in the hallway explaining that he had to sneak in the Women's with a dirty a s s to steal toilet paper. Insane! Upon finishing the meal, my brother attempted to pay for his drink. The bartender (politely) told him that cash app cards are not accepted at this establishment. He explained that the card is a Visa Debit and he hasn't had a problem anywhere else. The bartender replied that Cash Apps's banking system has been problematic so the cards are no longer accepted. Luckily, I was present to care for the bill otherwise I'm not sure what would have happened. I almost forgot to mention that construction was taking place in the bar at 9PM on a Saturday night. Someone was running what sounded like a mitre saw in a closed off section of the dining room. I'm no expert, but running power equipment during peak hours at a bar probably isn't the best idea. Finally, they had the audacity to automatically include a service charge! All things considered, I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. If you want to be treated like a paying customer, keep driving!

Service was great!.. very enjoyable environment. Great place to watch sports and have drinks.

A group of colleagues and I decided to try this place out after work. We arrived and was greeted by a friendly staff. The atmosphere is bar/grill style. Pool tables, nice bar area and plenty of TV's and projectors. They offer a full bar, and after taking our drink order, the waitress returned to take our food order. Wings are one of their specialties, so how could I go wrong, right?? They had plenty of sauce options, and had options like all drums or flappers. I ordered the single order which was 10 wings and fries. The wings did not live up to the hype that I was told. They were very small compared to other establishments that I had been to. They were overcooked and tough to get through. On a positive note, the sauce had very good flavor, and the blue cheese and ranch dips were excellent. To sum it up, great service, with underwhelming food.

Found out about this place asking friends/family for a good spot to watch the super bowl. Turns out, it was a good recommendation. It was spacious, casual, comfortable, and had plenty of screens available for viewing. The waitstaff was friendly and libations tasty. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. The boiled shrimp were overcooked and surprisingly under seasoned. But, the potatoes accompanying them were the opposite! Undercooked and over seasoned. The wings were smaller than expected and a little too salty for my taste. However, I would revisit this place for other sporting events or as a place to unwind and relax with friends. The atmosphere was welcoming and I enjoyed the music

This is far from a traditional JR Crickets. The service is horrible and the food is even worse. I've given this place many chances to prove me wrong but they continue to disappoint. The wings are super tiny and unflavorful. The chicken tenders taste like old grease every time I've had them. I went with friends for drinks and even those weren't good. Don't waste your time at this location. It's not worth it

Ok the lil short bartender girl screwed up. She was very rude and didn't speak. She just walked up to me after waiting for awhile and just stood there....didn't speak didn't say anything but "hey we bout to close, the owner has decided to close early tonight" " you got 15mins". I was like ok!

I see the franchise is expanding. As a little girl we would go to the North Avenue location at least once a week. A few years before moving to Boston and during my hair appointments, I would walk next door to the location in the Camp Creek Marketplace area. J.R. Cricket's is most famous for their Chicken Wings, however I ever so often would get the Chicken Fingers or Chicken Sandwiches, with resulting in a good outcome each time. Not here. My visit was amongst some relatives and our Waitress was mediocre with her non engaging and negative body language. She could have hindered our outing if we allowed her to. We all decided to keep our gathering short, and I ordered a 10 piece with medium flavoring with a side of ranch dressing, French Fries and a Long Island Ice Tea. We chatted, ate and left. I honeslty can't recall the food not being good at any of the locations. I still made sure my relative who lives close by was fully aware that I would not return to here under any circumstances.

This is probably the best on the southside out of all the Crickets or Taverns. So i give 31/2 stars. The wings are good and fresh. Thursdays Coronas are $3 and crab legs are $8.99 (shrimp too) for at least 3 nice sized legs. Shrimp is really awesome as well. I've even enjoyed a turkey burger here. Overall, food and drinks are great and mgmt is on top of things if you have a complaint

Very disappointed in my dinner tonight. The wings were overcooked and bland. And they were honey lemon. They literally cooked the taste out of them and the fries tasted like they were frozen and microwaved. Horrible!!!!!

We thought this would be like the one downtown NOT EVEN CLOSE. The wings were soggy and had a funny fat texture. The taste was off and the fries were semi cold. We ordered the same exact thing that we ordered downtown to be sorely disappointed. The kids said "dad this is nothing like the one downtown" we left a whole table of half eaten food. New England won and the patrons looked like the were having a great time over drinks but the food is what I came for. I feel like it was money wasted. If it's not bad traffic we will take the extra journey into metropolis for the original J.R. cricket midtown. Money wasted.... probably won't go back to this location.

So it's pretty hard to fuck up wings but y'all ......the wings I ordered today were far from good (Btw it was my first time here) the wings were overcooked, underdeveloped aka tiny , n tasted far from fresh . I try to be honest when giving reviews , I don't want to sound harsh but after spending my hard earned money n hoping to enjoy some good wings while watching the fight , all I was able to enjoy was the wine complimentary of Kroger sweet red on sale for $5.99 and the fight complimentary of the Firestick Watching the fight crystal clear no buffering inquiries on the Firestick call 470-210-0300 firestick guy!! On a positive note , music was dope atmosphere seemed pleasant , the place was filled so I'm guessing the drinks must be good, I will be sure to give it another try but wings won't be in the list! #yourtruthfulyelper

This place is under rated. I missed my flight and was stuck, I felt like Norm... Had the grilled shrimp, spot on. Company was great, food was better than most bar food and the service was top notch.

This is the worst food I have ever had smh the food taste old the food taste like it was cooked on a old grill and like the Grease was old this is the worst I will never go back they need to shut down and get there stuff together

Nice sports bar with huge flat screens all around. Staff is very nice and the food is delicious. We had wings, fries & fried mushrooms. Unfortunately we couldn't order any grill items since it was broke but hey forget that shrimp I was thinking about because they totally made up for it. I would suggest you sit at the bar for faster service. We will return soon!

Not a child friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was beautiful and surprisingly pleasant. She was very kind and very helpful. She checked on us often. I ordered the Tuesday Special- 2 cluster crab legs and I also got a tossed salad with only lettuce, bacon, and croutons with ranch dressing. My crab legs were spicy to me (only old bay seasoning). They were a little cold but I ate my salad first so that's figured. My salad was good and the crab legs were better. A bit hard to crack. We're not locals so we're not sure if the pricing was bad or good. To me, it seemed reasonable. I also got the sweet tea which was not as sweet as I'd have liked but it was good. It complimented my crab legs delightfully. When we walked in they were playing loud rap music- Kodak Black's skrt. It was an atmosphere I loved but my 87 year old grandma wasn't too happy lol but I loved it. They had huge TV's playing sports, so I'm sure the place is definitely lit on the weekend especially if there's a game on you want to see. I would eat here again. Service: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 (if that's your thing- it is a sports bar) Definitely way better than just "satisfactory". Amazing.

We stopped here after a delayed plane took away our Mexico trip for the day; not a single regret about it either. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was great. We had the Philly steaks and onion rings. And the chicken breast meal. Very impressive food!

This place is pretty decent for an after work drink with some friends and they have a great wing special on Wednesdays $5 for 10 piece wing baskets with $4 well drinks. We were looking for some where to celebrate a victory! And this was the closet bar to us! I saw it was only 2.5 stars I was like ummm, but then I remembered I don't discriminate. Lol So we stopped by anyways. PARKING There's ample parking in the front and some more parking on the side. So parking is no issue. AMBIENCE Walking in, I was surprised by how big the place was there were chairs everywhere!!. Large Tv's and projectors catch your eye and are the main the focal points. It's a sports bar, but they were playing lovers R&B.......,nice vibe, but not what i would expect. Surprisingly the place was filled with people. I mean quite a lot of people, It must be the wings! SERVICE The service was ok, it wasn't bad it wasn't great it was ok! The bartender was lit, didn't know you could drink on the job, but I guess everyone needs some SOCIAL LUBRICANT. DRINKS The drinks were good, but didn't pack a punch nothing to talk about really. We didn't get any food tho. Am I going back ? Most likely not. But that doesn't mean you can't give them a try. Go try em out tell me what you think!

I decided to give this location another try since my wings were horrible in 2019. It's now 2021 and still horrible - I will never go there again. Ordered garlic wings and it was flavorless- no seasoning/ no salt and could not taste any garlic flavor. Chicken was fried so hard it made chewing difficult. I guess since it's a sports bar/cafe, they figure the alcohol would take your mind off the food.

A good place to watch football. Wings and catfish nuggets are a good go to. The service........ was a big disappointment. I don't know if she was new or not feeling well because she was slow and very forgetful. I would go back for another try.

Came on a Friday night because I was hungry and wanted wings. Wings were ok but they ran out of fries!! The music was decent but the place was dead. Nothing like the Tavern on Camp Creek. I won't be returning.

The drinks were strong the chicken had an aftertaste to them like they had been sitting out for a certain amount of time and then cooked .,.. i love chicken waaayyyto much to try this place out again..... the one in camp creek and the one downtown is much better

Omg all my life I loved j.r crickets I use to work at the cascade location for years.welp I moved to Union city and was super excited that I live only three mins always.. now I've been there about four times each time it was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the cooks need to go!!the wings weren't cooked so light skinned hardly any seasoning on them!! so I got them a second time but crispy and they were hard as a rock!!! I know the dressing are homemade but my ranch taste like mayo!!!I just want perfect wings One time sheesh! I gave up The food is just nasty even the celery I would tell wasn't rinsed before serving them it was black shit on them even had that dirt taste.what happen to putting love in your food. So I gtta buy their lemon pepper seasoning and make my own. The only plus is that the servers are so nice and warm!! Such a nice Atmosphere... boh GOTTHA GO SORRY

Love thief wings. They offer pitchers of frozen margaritas that are good and STRONG! Lots of tvs, some pool tables and great atmosphere. It's on the Leoger parking lot so parking isn't a problem.

Terrible service. I keep wanting to give this neighborhood bar a chance but they disappoint every time. They are always out of the basics and the service is typically bad beer, wings,etc. Tonight it was cash only because they didn't have credit card access. No Corona beer, no orange slices for the blue moon and several patrons had to return their wings because they were refrigerator temperature. The restroom were filthy and they tried to hide the smell with an air wick. Come on guys do better..get your act together!!

This location leaves much to be desired but I come because I live right down the street. It's usually not crowded but service is still slow, so don't be in a rush. Wing special on Wednesday & seafood specials on Thursday keep me coming back. They did expand so the space is larger and a good amount of tvs. But the staff needs a big lesson in customer service, most are friendly-ish but little things like clearing off dirty plates and empty baskets are lost upon them. And if you dont make them help you they are content to go about their day. So really come if you must, but if not go to the location at South Cobb.

I don't watch "empire" at home. Why am I being forced to watch it at a sports bar where I am spending money? What kind of sh@t is that? The music is played when a commercial comes on. RIDICULOUS! The food is decent. The servers certainly weren't hired for their customer service or serving ability, but they're worth looking at. :-) I've been waiting at least a half hour for my wet naps and to pay the bill now. One day maybe.... Okay... to be fair, I did get up to go wash my hands, but I wasn't about to put my hands in my pocket like that.

First off the cole slaw is nasty and served in a small cup like the dips come in. They charge you a $1.59 to subtitute this small cup of coleslaw instead of fries. My fish sandwich was "missing the fish". It was a small piece of fish with a few pieces of brown lettuce, 1 tomatoe and 2 pickles, when I asked for extra. I go to the Campcreek and Cascade location and the fish sandwich is always hot and good. Last but no least they forgot my favorite blue cheese dip and ranch for my daughter.

I used to love this spot. I think my love affair has ended and demise is in this location's near future. I went to this location on Saturday for this excellent crab legs special. I was dumbfounded to discover that the special went up $1 and ended an hour earlier. I was also disgusted to learn that, even though there was no warning of this change, I was not accommodated when showing up during the hours the special was available just the previous week. This location no longer serves well liquor and has certainly priced themselves out of their current market. I wish JR Crickets Union City well. My visits will certainly be less frequent.

The phone in service is ridiculously bad! Calling in and either put on hold (last week I held 30 minutes and never answered ) ; Also last week I repeatedly called 30 times and each call went to their voicemail only to be told the voicemail was full! There's no reason to work that hard to spend MY money! If they don't want it, I'll go to another restaurant in the area that operates professionally!! The Corner Cafe in Union City ALWAYS answers when I call to place an order.

You can't beat the Saturday 4-11pm crab legs special. The full menu is still available. My only gripe is the inconsistency with the oranges for my Blue Moon, which is available on tap. Tall or short. Occasionally they will have a live band like tonight. However, if you want to enjoy a game on the big screen you can't beat Crickets.

Seriously, how do you not have coasters or bar napkins for the beverages... Then you send out cold unseasoned crabs on crab night??? It only 20 customers in here... Owner should be canned, seriously need a lesson on consistency in the industry!

I usually try to keep it nice in my reviews, but my whole experience could be summed up in two words: CHILE BYE! I went out on a first date here and I feel bad because it was my suggestion. Let's start w/ the fact that we stood by the door for 5 mins before we were acknowledged by anyone and told that we could "sit anywhere". We finally sit down and it takes another 10 mins for our "waitress" to come over and take our drink orders. She never told us her name and when I ordered a Woowoo she gave me a blank face an asked "What's that?" Well sweetheart, it's a drink on the menu of which all employees should know given how YOU work here. (And it was only one "woo" to be had, drink was watered down.) Fast forward our chicken comes out to the table, but we have no silverware. Had to literally get up n walk across the restaurant to get out "waitress" to come back to our table to get some service. Had to chase her down the same way when it was time for the check (sat n waited another 20mins for that). At this point the evening is beyond saving because of the terrible service. Ohhh, let's not forget to mention the table of females "turning up" w/ pitchers of drinks while their very young children were running wild (mind you it's after 11pm on a Sat night)! Overall, our experience was the epitome of ghetto as I watched single mothers twerk n eat chicken at the same time while their offspring danced in mirrors at a bar.

Pretty good! Service was a tad bit slow for us to be the only people in there. But like I said the food was good and the prices were great!!

Hole in the Wall. Yeah the not so friendly staff mixed with the over priced items made my experience with this place less than positive. There are better places for wings in this area they better be mindful of how they treat there customers.

The food was excellent, but the service left much to be desired. Once I flagged down a waitress, I ordered a tall vodka soda with lime - that seemed to really confuse her. She brought back a heavy vodka pour with no soda and no lime in a highball glass. My 2nd waitress was better and more attentive after I'd been sitting there for over 30 minutes. I ordered grilled the grilled tilapia and shrimp - it was quite flavorful. It came on a bed of rice that I really didn't eat (trying to watch the carbs) and a salad. The salad toppings (tomato, bell pepper, cheese and croutons) were fresh and a great addition to the chunky iceberg. It's probably not a place I'd go back to alone at night, simply because it felt more club-like than restaurant-like but I was starving and it was the closest place to my hotel.

Typical shitty bar and grill. Took 15 mins for our drinks to come out and another 30 on top of that for our food to come out. There were 3 other people at the restaurant in total. Thankfully the food was good. There were 3 of us eating and our tab came to $70. For our wait, the manager gave us a discount. We checked the tab after it was applied and it went up $3. We will not be back.

Worst service ever!!! I ordered two drinks and it took them 30+ mins to bring them, PLUS they brought out my HOT wings without even bring me 1 damn drink of water! Where they do that sh$t at!

I ordered take out from this establishment. It was good. I like my wings cooked to a point where they are almost stiff. They did a good job of achieving that. I order hot wings and lemon pepper wings which are my favorite. I will be back.

Out with, "Coach Harvey" last night to watch the Hawks vs Pacers, game 6. I'm not a big JRC fan but "Coach" likes the place and the Thurs nite 9.99 crab leg special so we landed there. Sat down in the middle of the restaurant where we could see all the playoff games,MMA, etc,etc. on the elongated plasma's. (Nice) Ordered drinks and food, Game on... One hour later I looked at "Coach" and asked if he had eaten our food without me seeing it. He laughed and said that service was usually prompt. "Robin" our waitress brought over " Joel" her manager who explained some challenges in the kitchen and apologized profusely for the wait. At the end, our food was comped, we tipped Robin out and chalked it up to a mediocre outing. Actually, the food was tasty(when it finally got there) and the Pacers beat the Hawks(Ha,Ha) so I was feeling pretty good. "Coach"- not so much... Three stars for the overall experience. Five stars for Joel's humble approach/apology and Robin's customer service. I'll probably go back and give it another try.

Being from out of town, jr crickets was a suggestion made by a family member who is local. This place was more of a dive bar attitude with food. No sodas to offer to the customers...the bartender said the sodas were flat. Very limited selection for premium alcohol and the service was marginal. The key factor to me...the restroom were deplorable...made you think if the kitchen staff was accustomed to this restroom environment what were the standard in the kitchen?? When brought to the attention of the female manager. All she could do was laugh n say I know about the situations.

Came to get to-go food and was greeted with attitude. after waiting for food I called in order 2 hours before pick up, I had to ask a server if they could check on my food. Staff members on the phone while taking orders. Just a zoo. Food was good, but I won't be returning.

Service was cool, food came out cold first time around. Came out hot second time but food was mediocre. Got the wings and waffle. The wings were small and sauce was ok. Would I come back, maybe to drink and watch sports on the tv's. They have plenty.

The wings were overcooked but still edible. The ribs shouldn't be called BBQ just because they are slathered in BBQ sauce. They are oven cooked, not barbecued!! They were also way over cooked!! The waitress was so busy chatting and visiting with friends that it took forever for her to take our order!!!

The service does not do the envoronment any justice. Janae was our waitress and she was horrible!!!!
