"They've opened elsewhere, but this location in Barrio Antiguo is the original. Sit indoors in the dining room with tall ceilings and raised beds with plants, or outside on the patio with a nice view of their parrilla and bar. Come hungry or with a group, as the plates are large and you'll want to enjoy a leisurely al fresco meal with a cocktail in hand. While there's plenty to choose from, don't miss the arrachera tacos, with three large flour tortillas with a cheese crust and topped with chopped arrachera and guacamole. Chicharrón mixto served with guacamole and quesadillas is another hit. Carrot cake with salted caramel sauce and a scoop of toasted coconut ice cream and cashews is an enticing dessert." - Michelin Inspector

The food was average overall—I would say this is more of a good spot to chat with friends or coworkers rather than a place you visit for an outstanding culinary experience. The service was fine, attentive enough, though nothing remarkable. I ordered the octopus based on recommendations, but it turned out to be rather forgettable and didn’t leave much of an impression. The highlight of our visit was definitely the cocktails, which were well-prepared and enjoyable.

Had a great experience at Jabalina! The ambience was cozy and stylish — perfect for a relaxed evening out. The food didn’t disappoint either. I started with a lentil soup that was warm and comforting, followed by their chicharrón which was crispy and packed with flavor. The mezcalitas were a highlight — well-balanced, smoky, and refreshing. Cocktails overall were creative and delicious. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when in Monterrey!

The dessert&service showed to be the iconic parts of the experience! Our meal was fantastic as well, but the mostachón de higo was incredible.

Great ambiance, tasty drinks and excellent service by our waiter Cristian and also Santiago "el pirata". A margarita was my go to for the night. It was an excellent choice and did not disappoint. It tasted like it had all natural ingredients, refreshing and with great tequila. For starters their Coliflor Frita and the Tiradito de Portobello were great to share for 2. Our main entrees were savory, a ribeye steak (large portion) and a pork dish in which it was probably cooked for hours as the meat was soo tender. Our dessert was a unique Carajillo made with mezcal and a yummy twist to it! Overall great time. Can't wait to go back!
