Awesome selection of delightful dishes. I adore the crab cakes and the asparagus. The mashed potatoes are to die for. Overall wonderful experience.

I wanted this to be good but it just wasn't. The atmosphere was pleasant and staff was very kind. They were just not trained properly for fine dining. I had to ask for proper silverware a few times. The food was not what it is priced for. As for the food, the bread was so hard you could break a tooth. The shrimp cocktail was basic and there were 4, i repeat 4, that's like $5 for non seasoned boiled shrimp. My lobster bisque was pretty gross. There was no evidence of lobster but a strong flavor of pumpkin. The steak was incredibly salty, like bring more water salty. I had high hopes for this place but was very disappointed.

We loved the atmosphere! Our server was friendly and helpful with suggestions. We celebrate our birthdays every year and this year chose Binion's at Horseshoe Indy. My filet was perfect. The Brussel sprouts to share were great and my friend's pork chop was tender and well cooked. Of course the shrimp Cocktail was excellent. Just a few very minor glitches that were quickly taken care of.

High roller food for casino goers. If you want fine dining at the Horseshoe... this is your spot. Made reservations early, which was a good thing because they are now booked til end of june. For an appetizer, I chose the lobster bisque. It was rich and creamy, leaving you wanting more. I then ordered the 14oz ribeye with black truffle butter and foraged mushrooms. The steak was delicious. The cook was a spot on, medium. It was full of juice and had a nice crust. The black truffle butter added a rich flavor as well did the mushrooms. My wife ordered the chicken. Let me just say it was cooked to perfection. Flavor was on point. It was served with roasted carrots accompanied by Au jus sauce on a bed of fingerling potatoes. The service was also top-notch. We never needed to ask for one thing. If there was a hiccup, it was when one dish for the table came out a few minutes late. The reason was the kitchen didn't like the way the cook looked on the steak, so they ordered a re-fire. I will say it was slightly annoying. However, I'd rather have that issue rather than get a subpar steak. Especially paying that price. All in all, they just opened and are bound to have some ironing out to do. The food was good and the service was too. Would go back.

Every time I come here, I am thrilled with the result. They combine a beautiful atmosphere with a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail. They also make very good dirty martinis. The steaks are always tender, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. Depending on what events are going on, or if it happens to be a weekend, it is best to make reservations in advance because it can get quite busy.

Last night I had a reservation for dinner. I sat at the bar. I was overlooked my whole reservation. Many people came had dinner and left. After bringing attention to the bartender. he said, “it’s on the way and walk away”. I asked if I could have a drink as well. I had an empty glass of water and empty martini. My dinner still had not been served. Filet arrived Luke warm, truffle butter wouldn’t even melt. A shame as it was perfectly prepared. Service was extremely poor from the beginning. The bartender did pick up my drinks after realizing the failure. However, by the time my food came, and I had gotten the second drink. I wasn’t even able to finish it half of it. At this price point, I do expect high-quality service as well as food.

Google
Pricey but the food and service was very good. I had the ribeye 14 oz, scallops appetizer and German chocolate cake dessert. It seemed that the steaks at our table were cooked a little more than ordered so keep that in mind (one was sent back and corrected right away). Noise level was high and made it somewhat difficult for our table conversation-- recommend requesting a table in the back area.

My fiancee, daughter and I had dinner at Binion's Christmas day 2024. To say the experience was great would be too little. Our experience was just amazing! My fiancee had the 10oz filet mignon, I had the 7oz filet. My daughter had the 14 oz boneless ribeye. All 3 steaks were cooked to perfection! The flavor, temp, seasoning and tenderness surpassed any steak I have ever had. The shareable loaded baked potato was huge as was my fiancee's salad. We were greeted so graciously by the hostess. Natalie, the manager was visible on the floor at all times, and our server Kim was amazing!! We will be back. Well done to the Binion's staff. Amazing!!

Yelp
I don't like to give 5 stars but this place earned every star for me!! This were i decided to have my birthday dinner. Glad I did!! The server was very entertaining and helpful after the seating mix up. The room they gave us was private and very nice ambiance. Even the host at the door was friendly.. now the food was amazing from appetizers to main dishes! Me myself I had to have the 48oz tomahawk (solo). Outside of losing 12oz of bone that steak was cooked to perfection ..

Yelp
We had a Fox 59 Gift certificate for this place. The restaurant smell was much better than the casino. I can't stand cigarettes smoke. But the smell walking in killed it for me. I read a review about the restaurant being loud and you were unable to talk so I requested to sit in the back where it's quiet. Noise level was perfect. They had a guy at the piano playing near the front and we got a small amount of music and able to talk. We ordered a couple of appetizers and they were so so. Goat cheese fondue and Calamari. I'm not a fan of either so passing on both. I ordered the small filet and the wedge salad. It was perfect, delicious, cooked just right. Others had the ribeye and short ribs. We all enjoyed our meal but very thankful for the coupons to help offset the cost.

Yelp
Very nice steakhouse!! Located inside the horseshoe soon as you enter on the left. There aren't any bathrooms inside but there are some right outside the restaurant. We received the private room without requesting it which was nice. We had a party of 9. I think it holds like 12 people. Birthday person gets a free dessert. Everything was delicious. We started with oysters and calamari. The oysters were so good and/but really tiny. I prefer the smaller ones. I thought I had a photo but apparently not. The calamari was flavorful with 3 options for sauces. The steak was phenomenal and cooked perfectly. It comes with a little leafy garnish. We ordered mashed potatoes and asparagus for our sides. The potatoes def needed more flavor. I added salt and pepper (on the table) to them which helped. The sides are shareable. The cheesecake was very good and the strawberry tasted so fresh and not artificial like most others do. Good service provided. Great ambiance. Lighting isn't great in the private room.

Yelp
while we regularly visit caesar's properties this was our first time eating at jack binions in shelbyville, the food was great and the atmosphere was casual fine dining with higher ceilings and a roomy floor plan with tables not right on top of each other, however service was very lacking as soon as we came in the hostess was standing at the host seat talking to an older gentleman seen me and my fiancé arrive wait at the door /host desk she looks up at us but doesn't acknowledge us and continued her conversation with this gentleman for a few more months they finally wrap up their conversation and she ask if we have a reservation (we do) and she sat us, then we wait a couple minutes for our server we order our appetizer (fried calamari) and two martinis, she goes and rings those in comes back and takes our steak orders. now we wait and wait and wait for our appetizers and drinks another table was sat right by us and our waitress looks over at us and kinda mumbles to herself "oh yeah" making it seem like to is that she forgot about us about 5-10 minutes later she finally brings out our drinks and apps and apologized "the bar was taking so long" but after we got our drinks and began our appetizer we noticed we had been there for an hour already remember we still haven't gotten our meals yet. Although service is not too great we both really enjoyed our filets they were really tender and flavorful and the calamari was hot, crisp and tender, it also came with three different dips that i really enjoyed, so if you're at the casino and want a fine dining experience the food is great but don't expect to much with service :) 3.5 stars

Yelp
Heard mixed reviews about the steakhouse from playalways. I finally decided to give it a shot and it turned out to be one of the best steaks I've ever had! Highly recommend getting the ribeye. I'll go as far as to say it's the best steak I've had in Indy.

Yelp
My husband and I decided it would be fun to check out the Horseshoe Casino for our 13 year anniversary. I made reservations for dinner at Jack Binion's Steak House. Our reservation was at 6:30pm on Saturday night, and my husband and I were both surprised at how empty the restaurant was. We were seated quickly and our server approached us shortly thereafter. We started off with drinks and the crab cake appetizer. The crab cake was good, we shared it. The strawberry lemonade martini was outstanding!! My husband ordered the New York Strip cooked Medium with a side of shareable truffle fries. I ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese. My food was good, he said his steak was undercooked and just ok. It honestly looked like a rare steak with all the pink! He is not the kind of person who complains, so he at as much as he could. We finished with a slice of cheesecake with strawberry, it was good. Would we come back again, absolutely!

Yelp
A very FINE dining experience Jack Binion's Steakhouse is tucked in the Horseshoe Casino in Shelbyville, Indiana, and is Amazing!! Binion's is a fine dining experience with an exceptional menu. We started with the melt-in-your-mouth calamari then the best steaks we have had in 20 years. There are sharable side dishes and desserts that cap off the dining experience in style. I would put the quality of the steaks and service beyond many of the premium steak places in the Indy area. If you are looking for a special place to dine it's worth the drive to Shelbyville to Jack Binion's Steakhouse. Being inside a casino there is plenty to do after dinner and a horse track to experience during racing season.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Steakhouse is inside the casino. It's nicely decorated. The food is just ok. I ordered the filet...it was just average. Not the best filet I've had...spouses steak was overcooked and got sent back. The server was nice but not overly attentive. I hate to say it but the steak at Texas Roadhouse is better. Worth a try but won't return

Yelp
On Saturday evening, I decided to finally have dinner at Jack Binion's, and am I glad that I did. No reservation , but there was a spot open at the bar. The restaurant was lively, energetic, and people seemed to be having a great time. The piano player is fabulous and added greatly to the ambiance. To begin my meal, I ordered Calamari with basil aioli, spicy mayonnaise and Thai chili sauce. Five star and cooked just right. Next was the Lobster Bisque. Three stars. here. Good flavor, but I was disappointed that chunks/pieces of lobster were not included in the dish. And what's up with these large bowl? For the main entre, I ordered the 10oz Filet Mignon. Five Stars. Cooked just the way I ordered and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pace of the meal was just right for me. I enjoyed the food and the experience. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Similar experience to that of another poster. Website says it is kid friendly and when you call they confirm that kids are welcome in the restaurant. We arrived with our child but were firmly told at the entrance "No kids". After explaining that we were going to the restaurant only and had called ahead to confirm, we were directed to go to another area of the casino. From there a supervisor met us and explained that when you call, the call is routed to customer service reps who are not in house but cover all of Caesars locations. In other states children are welcome, but in Indiana, the law prohibits it. The supervisor and security officer in the racing building were both very helpful and kind about the situation. However, I feel for them that Caesars hasn't found a fix to this issue, whether that be by posting age requirements for each location or by ensuring their staff answering phones are properly trained on the requirements of each location.

Yelp
I never get to Shelbyville but I was interested in trying Jack Binion's since they just reopened in May. Plenty of free parking in the 4 story parking garage. The restaurant is located inside the casino. We asked for directions but once you walk into the casino you can see it in the back left corner. Upscale restaurant feel for sure but casual dress. It was a stellar experience. Our server Katy was amazing and that always helps. She let us take our time and gave us information about some of the choices that looked traditional but had little twists. The shrimp scampi wasn't traditional scampi but served with grits, bacon, and this yummy peppercorn sauce. The lobster bisque wasn't traditional either. It was blended, had curry in it and was topped with tarragon oil. Super tasty even though I think I like traditional better. I'm really glad I tried both dishes. I need to branch out and try more new things! The calamari was outstanding. Hubs and I are super picky about calamari because even really high end places often serve it chewy. This was perfect. It was dipped in a light cornmeal batter and served with 3 sauces. We really liked the basil aioli and the Thai chili. It was a massive portion of calamari and we ate it all! The steaks were cooked well and were nice and thick. I had never had lobster Mac n'cheese before but decided tonight was the night. Great choice on my part. This might have been my favorite dish of the night. Creamy, cheesy white sauce and big chunks of lobster. So good. Hubs doesn't even like mac n'cheese and said it was great. The truffle fries were crispy and flavorful. The brussel sprouts were amazing. They were seasoned well, not rock hard and were huge. The mushrooms were really good too. Everything about this meal was good. We were so stuffed we couldn't even look at dessert. I would definitely come back again and order less so we could try dessert.

Yelp
Ahh man. We drove all the way from indy to try Jack Binion and everything was just mediocre. Like nothing special?! I mean the lobster mac was good. But we sat down immediately and it took about 20 min to get our water and the wine was kinda flat.. We ordered truffle fries they were just okay. My companion liked his steak! But all in all there was nothing that excited or motivated me to return. The only thing that sticks out is that the service was so so so so so slow and it was 745 at night and not busy! Wahh. Thank you for the lobster mac

Yelp
The food and service was amazing ! I also loved that they have live music ! Definitely check it out ! Perfect place for a casino and dinner date night !

Chris Jenn M.

Yelp
We would have loved to try this place out. We called ahead to see if children under 21 could dine there without going into the casino. We were told that, as long as she was with us, she could come into the restaurant. In addition, it said on the web that they were kid friendly. So, we made the almost 1 hour drive to enjoy this place. Once we got there, we tried to enter but it was the entrance to the casino so we called again to see where the restaurant entrance was. That's when we were told that the entrance was through the casino and our daughter cold not even walk through the casino to get to the restaurant. Perhaps the restaurant will allow children but there is no way to enter and is therefore not available to people under 21. I'm very disappointed that we spent almost an hour driving with a hungry family and we were not able to eat. While my husband and I may come at some point (only because we have a gift card) this was an unacceptable way to treat us.

Scott ..

Yelp
We have visited the Jack Binion's in Southern Indiana and it was phenomenal. Food and service and atmosphere. But the one at Horseshoe Indianapolis had mediocre food and service. They have not been open long so chalk it up to being new.

Kayla B.

Yelp
how are you going to be a steak place and preset a menu and there not be a steak option and you are paying a $150 a head super disappointing and frustrating.

Nancy H.

Yelp
We have been to this restaurant many, many times over the years, but only our second time to Binion's in this location. Things started fine, but then Jeremy abandoned us. The manager took over, and we had fantastic service from then on. Thanks! My bone-in ribeye was incredible, as was my friend's branzino. So glad they're open.

Jen L.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Chuck, our server, was great and very friendly. Restaurant had a great fine dining atmosphere.

Yelp
My husband made reservations for us to celebrate our anniversary. Our first ever experience at Jack Binion's. They got water for us right away but anything after that took forever. Service was super slow. Other tables seemed to be getting their food right away. We didn't mind at first because we were having date night but when my husband had no water and we asked for water that never came, it started really ruining the experience. I ordered a drink to come with my steak and when it came, it looked weird. So after many attempts, I was able to get our server's attention, she came over. I said that I felt like something was wrong with my drink. She yelled at me that "THAT was how the drink is made", stating that she has been a bartender for X amount of years and totally embarrassed me and my husband by making a scene. We've lived in 4 different countries and 9 different states and never had anyone yell at me over a simple drink. (STILL NO WATER) She could have simply said, that was how it was made there but no, she raised her voice at me. It was NOT the experience we hoped for paying $50+ each steak and on our anniversary. Humiliated is an understatement. She brought us the bill, and another mixed drink that I told her not to worry about. No water was offered. She offered us dessert since it was our anniversary but we just wanted to cut our losses and get out of there. From the look of the place, with someone playing piano and beautiful decor, we were really hoping we had found a new spot for our date night.
