Port of Seattle’s West Seattle lookout pairs a quiet shoreline walk with a 45‑foot observation tower for downtown and shipyard views. Local coverage notes the pier remains closed for replacement, but the park and tower are open.

The drive in feels a bit industrial and iffy, but don't let that stop you—it has plenty of parking spaces and there are restrooms available (though I wouldn’t call them clean, they're usable in a pinch). This is a great spot for a walk or picnic with the Seattle skyline as your backdrop. If you're looking for the perfect photo of the city, this is the spot! A short stroll up to the turnaround point rewards you with a sweeping view. The trail itself is pleasant, with some flowers at the start and benches along the way where you can sit and enjoy the ocean, watch the cargo ships pass by, and just relax. Overall, it’s a nice, underrated park with great skyline views if you don’t mind the industrial surroundings on the way in.

Came here to see the seaparade. Super nice and short walk to a beautiful park with a grassy area to sit. There is beach access as well. Ended up just having a little picnic. Very sunny but there is shade as well. You can drive all the way to the park area and just walk to the end of the lookout or you can park farther away and enjoy the walk to the park. It's like a 10 minute walk.

The park is located between the port and the shoreline. It is dog friendly. The meadow with flowers is so pretty. If you go up the stairs and cross the bridge, you'll get to a beach. Walk a little further and you'll see a viewpoint.

I love this park! I love that it was a Industrial wasteland that had attention placed into it to it, and through much hard work and funding, was returned back to the people as a place to relax or exercise and enjoy nature

Swam, clean beach walking paths around. Pavement to skate paths with dogs on leashes. Good rocks to sit on.

I absolutely love Jack Block Park! It's peaceful and not crowded. The restrooms are surprisingly really clean and dont stink. It’s perfect for walking your dog, enjoying city views, or having a relaxing picnic. My personal favorite activity is reading here. Highly recommend for a chill day with friends or family. Love this hidden gem! 💗

It's a little off the beaten path, which makes it very chill and not crowded. The views over downtown are spectacular, especially at sunset. If you're lucky, you'll catch members of the Seattle House Mafia DJing there, so you can enjoy good music as well.

Tucked away as a complete escape from the noise of city life (but with a beautiful collaboration of industrial and natural landscape features), this has to be one of the most well thought out projects within our parks department (and now in my top 3 parks of Seattle)! The winding path of Jack Block leads you through rolling green hills and along lush and tree-lined paths, with a payoff to beaches and panoramic views of our port and downtown Seattle cityscape. Dogs are permitted on-leash throughout the park but not on the beach. There is a well maintained restroom at the park entrance and a small play area for kids. It looks as though fishing is also permitted here. What an incredible restoration project from the city to liven up our Puget Sound ports.
