Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint Edgehill

Was looking for food after landing in Nashville and saw this place was close to where we were staying. Loved the vibes here. Steady stream of 2000s rock, a really laid back atmosphere, and the staff were really friendly. Ordered a beer and a burger - tried the Ponch burger which is the Friday special. Delicious mix of guacamole and spicy mayo with bacon and beef. Definitely recommend trying it. Place was really busy on Friday evening. We were lucky to get one of the last tables and there was a line when we left. Glad we happened upon this place!

Eclectic burger joint. Fast friendly service. Wagyu beef burgers, and with daily specials. Sides are extra but worth the extra expense, and large enough to share but you may want it all for yourself. I rarely find burger joints I like and this was exceptional, right up there with a burger I had at Tiffany's in Maui by Sheldon Simeon. This burger joint also has a nice selection of brews to go along with your burger. There is some kind of fry sauce they serve it's tasty. There are high tops, booths and bar side seating and an outdoor patio. There is a (pay) parking lot right next door so that is convenient. Note: use of peanut oil for those with an allergy.

Fantastic little dive, everything here was just as great as their Murfreesboro location. Host recommended the Elvis on ACID... It absolutely did not disappoint! Jalapeno jam was, well... The jam! The deep fried Oreos are delicious & the Ron Swanson should be a permanent addition. That is the hill I'll die on. Parking sucks just as bad here too, but worth it.

Bartender Jayse was amazing! Great service great recommendation for places to visit. Helped us pick the best beer for our individual tastes. We had a regular cheeseburger, grilled cheese and cheese fries. Great atmosphere not too loud but cool music.

One of the best burgers ever! I keep reading all the stellar reviews so my expectations were pretty high walking thru the door. Jack Brown's did not disappoint!! Cool burger joint right by Vanderbilt University. Super friendly service, Ian (Iain?) the bartender was knowledgeable and patient. Our burgers were mouthwateringly wonderful. Definitely try the Jacked Up Fries, too. YUMMY! The 4-star atmosphere rating was because the music inside was absolutely blaring...on a Thursday...for lunch. We had to raise our voices just to hear each other across our small table. Overall, definitely try this place out...truly life-changing burgers!

I love Jack Browns. This is the third location I've hit and this one might be tops. Great service, killer food with a cool and funky interior. I got the Greg Brady, my friend got the Gonzo, my other friend got the Elvis on Acid and the last burger was Cobra Kai. We followed up with Fried oreos. Here's the Breakdown: Great food, service and atmosphere make for a 5 star experience. I will go back again and again.

Awesome Spot. Hidden Gem. Love the local vibes but they are always accepting to Nashville visitors. Beers can be high priced sometimes for the area. Need more lagers and Sapporo style drafts for the younger crowd that doesn’t want to pay “Nashville beer prices”. Mitch holds the place down and always gives me good places to try when I visit Chattanooga. This is the number one spot I bring family members and friends when they come to visit. Also, come to trivia! It’s a great time to meet people and gain some knowledge.

Absolutely awful all around. The place is dark, tacky, and dirty. Water is serve yourself out of an Igloo cooler that everyone has been touching. Food is overpriced and a la carte. The burger was a bland sad kids burger. The drinks are served in tiny glasses and are gross. The glass had a mark on it and we showed the server and she said oh that’s just from the coke gun and then wiped it where we’d drink on the rim and handed it back 🤢 I highly suggest people check out pharmacy, brothers burger joint, or burger republic.

This is a southern burger chain with about 20 locations. I can see why it's expanded as it is really good. My husband and I shared a double cheeseburger and fries. It was the perfect amount of food for us. Burger reminded us of In and Out without lettuce and tomato. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Cool vibe inside an easy going bar.

This place is awesome! The vibe is super chill, making it the perfect spot to hang out with friends and grab a beer. The staff is super friendly, and everything--food and drinks--came out fast. I had the Dr. Gonzo, and the burger was perfectly juicy. But honestly, the real star is the sauce! As someone who loves sauce, this is the spot to dip your fries into some next-level deliciousness.

Stopped in for a quick bite while visiting the area. Tons of options for all types of burger eaters and those who want to try different things. Nice outdoor patio area as well! Service was great! Super friendly bartender/server, was very helpful with suggestions and food and drinks came out quick. The cowboy burger was very good! Others enjoyed their choices too. Wish there was a little more bbq sauce on it but overall very good! Definitely a spot to stop if you want a quick, but good burger from a local spot!

A fun place to hang out with lots of good drink options! The burgers are good too - but I find them kind of small. I do like the one with Mac and cheese on it. The fries are good as well. I will say it's disappointing that they do not have gluten free buns so I don't go there anymore.

I am so embarrassed that I have been in Nashville over a decade and just now tried Jack Brown's. I will say, I attempted before at other locations when it was far too busy so was so relieved to get in quickly at this spot during the middle of a week day. Our server brought some great energy and was very engaging and attentive! Overall, what a fun vibe! We want to come back for trivia! I enjoyed a fall pumpkin craft beer that was on draft & we evenly split the Cowboy & Cobra Kai. OMG, the explosion of flavor was delightful on the Cobra Kai - if you like goat cheese and jam, you'll be totally fine, it's a bit sweet and rich so we added bacon (server recommended) we helped & are glad we evenly split it with a more classic style burger. The BBQ sauce on the Cowboy is soooo good. Also, ordered some crinkly fries and savored their house sauce with them (it's like thousand island meets the sister of worcester sauce ;) lol). We will be back soon!

I would eat here every single day if my heart wouldn't eventually give out on me. Great thin burgers and dog friendly vibes! The sweet potato fries are some of my favorite in Nashville! The Greg Brady was a favorite of mine before my food allergies to dairy.

Love Jack Brown's. Great burgers & fries and the best fried Oreos! Lots of drafts on tap & they even have blake's hard cider which is my favorite. Can be a little noisy but nothing crazy. Service is always good too. Overall a great burger & beer joint!

**Review:** After a terrible experience at Barcelona, we walked over to Jack Brown's, and it turned our night around! We wanted to stay close, and a couple of people mentioned this burger joint, saying it was really good. They were right! The server was quick and helpful, the burgers were juicy, and I loved the sweet potato fries. The vibe was unique to Nashville but also felt familiar and cozy. This is a great spot for a beer and burger with friends.

My fave spot!! Especially when it's late & there's not many options to grab food. Best burgers, sweet potato fries, & of course, their special sauce

We came by Jack Brown's again and it was just as delicious as before! I was tempted to get the Cobra Kai again, but decided I needed to broaden my horizons. I was not feeling brave enough for the Shocker, so I opted for the Greg Brady which is topped with house-made Mac N' Cheese, American cheese and Martin's BBQ potato chips (it was noted to be one of their better selling burgers). It was so amazing! The BBQ chips really paired well with their Mac N' Cheese, while the waygu beef patty melted perfectly in my mouth with the Mac N' Cheese! We also ordered a side of regular and sweet potato fries. So amazing with the house made sauce! One of the best places in town for a burger!!

AMAZING burgers and sweet potato fries. I had the burger of the day which was when in roam. It had chipotle pimento cheese, American cheese, sweet jalapeños and crispy fried onions. The flavors were amazing!I could eat a burger from here everyday! We finished our meal with fried Oreos .... omg so delicious! Great little atmosphere with the cutest best server, Lauren! We will be back!!

Came here on a Saturday evening and was pleasantly surprised by quick self seating in a mostly full small-medium sized restaurant. Service was overall pretty fast despite it being busy. I got the Frankie Brady (a grilled cheese with mac n cheese and chips) which was delicious and only $5! With fries, the meal was very filling. Would give 5 stars if not for my bite of my partner's Shocker burger that happened to contain a concentrated amount of jalapeño/habanero seeds that took my taste buds a long time to recover from...

Great service and food. We got there after the normal dinner hours and there was no drop off in service or the quality of the food. Only downside was the requirement to pay for parking in the strip center in which it is located. That's on the landlord and not the restaurant though.

Burger (Cobra Kai) was great, beer was good, as was service. Would've been 5 stars except the server asked if I wanted fries with my burger without clarifying that fries weren't included. I wouldn't have ordered them if I had known and would have at least finished them if someone had told me I would be paying $3.99 for them. Also didn't help that fries were not listed anywhere on the printed food menu, which would have made it more clear that they were a separate charge. Great burger, but unfortunately not a fun experience with the surprise charge at the end.

Great decor and vibes inside but could pass up a nice evening and sat outside. Was craving a burger and was not disappointed!!! Bacon snd blue cheese and a juicy burger were perfect. Our waiter was spot on with the beer suggestions and added to a great evening!!!!

I mean you just can't go wrong with a place that does burgers, fries and beer. And the sauce is the absolute best and plentiful in a squeeze bottle on the table you won't even feel bashful asking for more. Open late and has cool stickers and funky signs all over. Great spot.

This is a great late night spot for a juicy burger and crispy fries. I got the Dr. Gonzo with the buns flipped grilled cheese style. After a night of drinking, this meal sobered me up. My only issue was that the burgers were somewhat bland. However, the condiments available at our table made up for it.

SO good every time!! The cheese fries is a MUST but you can definitely split 1 order between 2 people. So far we've tried the Classic Jack, The Elvis, and Cobra Kai and they were all so good we can't choose a favorite. The service is always super quick and I love the "dive bar" feel in there.

Great experience at Jack Brown's! This was our first stop when we got into town and our last before leaving after a terrible experience at Barcelona. The ambiance reminds me of my college town bar, with a big list of craft beers (yay sours and ipa's!) the burger was huge and delicious. I got the one with blue cheese, and my fiancé got some cheesy fries. Great music playlist and the service was fast and they had a lot of recommendations for a new timer!

Sadly although the food is great, you pay $7 to park at their establishment and the burgers are very overpriced for their size. I understand it's in downtown Nashville but my goodness this little burger joint will run you a huge tab for so little. I was very disappointed that fries are not included with their burger. So on top of paying for parking, paying for a tiny burger, and then needing to pay for fries you are out $20+ and still hungry. The Jack browns in Norfolk, VA is much cheaper. Thank you for the food; however, this is not an establishment I will go to again.

A hidden gem in Nashville. Good selection of burgers with daily specials. The fries are great and their house dipping sauce is fantastic. The kitchen is open late. The bathroom is inside a bank vault!

Phenomenal burgers, so many choices soooo delicious. Service is great! I had the cobra Kai... omg I could eat this every day! Had a side of fries which are just average crinkle cut and they serve some special sauce with it. Most people love their sauce but I am not a fan. It's some sort of garlic aioli but I think it has pickle relish in it.

The Cobra Kai burger was the best burger I've tried in a very long time. Music, decor & everything was great. Very clean & positive general atmosphere.

Traveled 10hrs to visit our son who lives in Nashville on our trip back to Ohio. He has been wanting to take my husband and I to this establishment since he moved here. We had a snafu at the German town location which brought us to the edgehill location, so happy we ended up here. Keep in mind it was between 6:15-7ishpm It was trivia night but not too busy, more family style but the trivia announcer was very very loud so we decided to sit at high tops outside on patio. We were at first the only table but quickly filled up and guest kept coming. Lucky we arrived when we did. Only one guy taking orders with help of food runner and kitchen. They were totally rockin it!!! We ordered the: Jacked fries - fries topped with cheese sauce, bacon and sweet onions. My kids and husband killed it! my husband said cheese sauce was baller We also ordered beers soda lemonade - original jack burger - gonzo burger - cowboy burger - 2 regular cheese burgers for kids - 2 side Mac n cheese (not really worth it, 2 small condiment containers with 1 bite in each) - 2 fried Oreos Food was phenomenal! Jack Brown sauce - DELISH! Service was very very friendly and welcoming compared to other location. If you have the flexibility I totally recommend this location over other. We will totally be back when we visit again. High five to the the Jack Brown crew for making it happen. Thank you!

We were searching for a place near our hotel to eat before a soccer game and I am SO glad we found this gem. I've been telling everyone about it. Super cool atmosphere with very friendly staff. We received quick service. The best part of the whole experience was the burgers. They were phenomenal. We had the Greg Brady and the Cobra Kai and they were both absolutely amazing. The toppings are awesome but even just the burger patty had such a perfect smoky flavor. Our daughter also tried the fried Oreo and said it was wonderful as well. It came out hot and fresh. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Best burgers in Nashville! The burgers are small but they are satisfying. They have 8 beers on draft and plenty of options in cans and bottles.

We came here for burgers based on searches and reviews right here on Yelp. And we were not disappointed! The venue is super cool and quirky. The staff are mega efficient and funny. And the food is quite solid. They also have a great selection of beers and other drinks. Our server was hilarious; he reminded me of the servers who will insult you just for fun at The Weiner's Circle in Chicago. Funny, insulting but super efficient and on top of his shit. My only bitch was portion size. No, I'm not saying it should be a massive portion where you take half of it or more home with you. But it was about 3/4 of the size to really satisfy me. Do some add ons or something. Very tasty, but small. Be aware.

I had the Cobra Kai burger. It was delicious! Loved the look of the place! Music was great! Our server was very nice. Definitely reasonably priced!

The burgers are delicious and always prepared fresh and hot out the kitchen! The staff is kind, always ready to put your order in or pour you a cold beer. I've gotten my burger to-go the last couple of times to get back to the office. There is lots of memorabilia on the walls and some sort of sports on the tv along with rocking music. It's a cool space for a casual, delicious burger. They don't do combos -- everything is a la cart.

Honestly a great spot. Consistency is wonderful! The food is always prepared to never fail! The staff is great for the type of environment you are in. The music is typically pretty loud and you're having to yell at the people at the table for them to hear. I'd certainly give 5 stars but the past 4 times- the music was certainly overkill!

Service was slow. Only 3-4 tables to be waited on. Music loud. Took 20+ minutes to make something McDonald's could've made in 3. Overpriced. Burger was $10.74 and the only thing making it any different than a McDonalds cheeseburger was the fact that the patty actually tasted better quality. Overall I paid $19 for a single-patty cheeseburger, fries, and a 16oz canned sweet tea. Never again.

A little overpriced! The burger meat was fatty and not really round. Their sweet posto fries were ordinary. I do like that have a Mike's hot honey bottle at every table. I give their burgers a 6/10.

Hands down, best burgers in Nashville. The meat is divine. I love a classic burger, I tend to avoid all the complications of toppings and sauces on a burger, to enjoy what really matters, the patty! If I could make one request, it would be to throw a tomato and lettuce on my cheeseburger. But I know that's not their thing. We came in for trivia night, it was a little hectic & crowded due to Jack Brown's popularity, but still a fun time! They have a great beer menu, and are open late. Don't miss out on this spot!

The Friday Special Ponch Burger was so delicious!! It is a burger topped with house-made Guacamole, Applewood Smoked Bacon, White Cheddar Cheese & Sriracha® Mayo. I got a side of crinkle fries (perfectly seasoned by the way) and a fried Oreo to go! I love that you can order just one fried Oreo - it is the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. The ordering was very easy as they offer online ordering on their website. I did have a little trouble with pickup! After my order was 20 minutes past the estimated time, I went inside and asked one of the bartenders about it. My order was ready for pickup but I hadn't gotten any notifications. I then got a text and email that it was ready after she had punched it in the system and given me the order. The fries needed to be reheated a little but it didn't take away from their flavor. I will definitely be back for the Friday Special again, just won't wait as long if I haven't heard anything next time!

poor service. The waiter didn't greet me. I had to ask where the menu was. I waited for 10 minutes for my check after finishing, the waiter didn't even glance once. I had to go wait at the bar to get my receipt. Its clear he had an issue with me for no reason at all he was being a difficult person to a paying customer. Shame, now I will tell ALL my friends not to go here.

I love Jack Brown's and had no idea one had opened in Edgehill. I ordered my go-to, the Cobra Kai with a side of sweet potato fries and the oh-so-delicious JB sauce. I love this burger, but the sandwich as a whole leans on the slightly sweeter side thanks to the pepper jelly and the thick slice of cream cheese -- just something to be mindful of it you're not a fan of sweet and savory. It's also spicy but not unbearable. The Waygu beef patty was cooked perfectly, and the soft-yet-sturdy buttered and toasted bun did a great job of holding everything together. The burger as a whole is on the smaller side compared to other similarly priced "specialty" burgers I've had recently, but it was still filling. The crinkle-cut sweet potato fries were crispy and tasty, especially when dunked in the JB sauce. I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu.

I have been to the Jack Brown's in Germantown, Edgehill and one in Alabama. I just don't get it but every one of them had some messed up service. It takes FOREVER to get food. Generally, the servers are good with coming by with the drinks but the burgers you have to wait for. And wait. And keep waiting. The menu is very small and the burgers are pretty smashed thin, so it should not take THAT long to get a burger out. I also don't like that they don't offer lettuce or tomatoes for a burger. That's just odd when all you do is burgers. The plus side? They have a good beer list. So go for the beer in between meals. :-)

This is our go-to burger place. When we want a burger no other place in Nashville compares to what Jack Brown's offers. The food and atmosphere are amazing at any of their locations and we've eaten at just about every place that claims to have the best burger around.
