Jack in the Box

This was my third time trying to dine at this location. So I guess 3 is a charm…. The first 2 times I did stop by pretty late.. but the sign says they stay open 24 hours ( LIES). So this particular day I arrived at 7:45am and they were supposed to open at 8am. So I was the very first person in the line. Now I have to say everyone was really nice and accommodating. I like their new location and I got a sample of everything breakfast for under 10 bucks. If you go I suggest you arrive as early as possible… because they’re still hot due to them being new to Chicago.

Jack in the Box is honestly a west coast gem, and I’m so grateful they finally brought it here. It’s one of those spots that feels like a treat whenever you go — the menu is stacked with options, from the iconic tacos to the loaded curly fries and creative late-night bites. The food came out fresh, flavorful, and definitely lived up to the hype. That being said, the wait times are no joke. It was a long line and the service moved pretty slow, so definitely plan ahead and bring some patience with you. For me, it was worth it because the food hit the spot and reminded me why Jack in the Box has such a loyal fan base on the west coast. Overall, if you’ve never been, I’d recommend checking it out at least once. Go when you’re not in a rush and be prepared for a bit of a wait — but once you get that first bite, you’ll understand why people love this place so much. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On 9/24 at about 6:45pm, I went thru the drive thru and when I got home, I was missing a sandwich. I went back and the manager on duty was super nice, apologetic, and gave me the sandwich quickly. Absoloutely love Jack in the box, the food was fresh and super delicious. Beyond excited we now have one in Chicago and it's on my side of the town.

I was so excited to finally visit the Jack in the Box on 79th and Cicero! Anytime I go to California, I always make a stop for their tacos and curly fries, so I was thrilled to find this location nearby. From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and all smiles. The restaurant was very clean and well-kept, which made for a great first impression. Even though there was about a 30-minute wait, the food was definitely worth it! We ordered tacos, a burger, and curly fries. The burger and fries were delicious and hit the spot. The only thing I’d change is I wish the tacos had been served hotter but they still tasted ok Overall, this location is friendly, clean, and serves tasty food.

Food was good service was fast and friendly the restaurant was very clean. My only complaint is your fountain drink cups are flimsy. I filled my drink cup and put the cover and when I grabbed it to pick it up it collapsed. You need better quality and stronger cups .

Listen to me when I say, the reviews are low for a reason. I got off late today so before coming I called and asked what time they closed. They told me 11pm. When I approached the speaker to place my order the cashier was about to ask what I wanted when the manager cut her off & began being very unprofessional. She says they close at 10pm, I let her know that wasn’t what I was told on the phone earlier. I pulled forward to the window because I wanted the number for corporate as well as the name of that manager. I sat at the drive thru window for 10mins. Several ppl walked past and ignored me. I would have never wasted my time or theirs if I was given the correct information when I called. Jack in the Box you guys need to do better, you all will lose so much business if you continue to let individuals who aren’t properly trained or educated on the restaurant’s policies/procedures work here.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant and my food wasn't that good. I ordered the BACON double smash jack combo with EXTRA SAUCE. The patties was dry as far as juiciness and it didn't have hardly no sauce on it. Mind you I asked for extra sauce and of course they charged me for it and made sure they didn't put hardly any on it. It was like half a slice of bacon with no crunch to it what so ever which it probably was suppose to come with two slices. At first I didn't think they put the bacon on it until I lifted the bottom bun and had to really look to see it. Biting into the sandwich I didn't taste the bacon at all and again I got the BACON double smash jack combo with EXTRA SAUCE. I got regular fries which they were just like the regular fast food fries nothing special. I should've taken a picture of my burger so everyone can see what I saw but I wasn't going to do a review until I looked at my receipt and saw they charged me for the extra sauce I asked for and didn't even put the amount that suppose to come on the sandwich. I absolutely can't stand restaurants that does that. That was my first and last time eating there. The lady who was outside taking orders was so nice and friendly and she's the only reason I gave 3 stars.

We came in on October the 3rd arpund 4:10 to order food. We ordered a few different things, excited to try Jack in The Box after hearing so many good things about it. We placed our order, stepping to the side to wait for it to come out. After about 25 minutes, we figured that even though it was busy, we had waited long enough, as we had only ordered like 7 things. We went up and got the attention of an employee, who said he 'didn't know what happened to the order' and just disappeared. We didn't hear anything about it, and let another 20 minutes pass as we figured they were working on it. Still, in this time, nobody came out to say anything to us or even apologize. I grabbed a manager, who wandered off to check on it. She came back and said it was almost done, amd they were waiting on our tenders. She just shrugged and gave us an indifferent 'sorry' Finally, after being in the restaurant for OVER AN HOUR we were given our food. No sorry. No making this right. I regret convincing my brother to try this place, as a simple dinner, turned into an hour of standing around and twiddling our thumbs, with barely even a sorry. Maybe skip this place until they're a bit more settled...because it's obvious they don't have the time to care right now. 2 stars is for the food though, pretty good just NOT worth an hour wait
